+1 we need to jump about half the hash over to that pool. We need more pools to be created as well, which will help out a lot

I would set up a pool if I knew how. If there existing software on github somewhere?

yes it's called MPOS - lamp package

Cool, any idea what kind of bandwidth it uses? I'll look and see if I can get one setup this weekend.

no but you need to purchase an ssl cert though to protect miners....

I'd do it because I have servers and bandwidth available in the racks where we host our servers but no time to do the work.

MPOS its what 99% of the pools use.

I'd do the set up for you if I had the time and you were comfortable with having a third party do it :-/ and MPOS will use as much bandwidth as any other web site, it's the traffic of the mining that you really have to worry about. Ultimately the more miners the more bandwidth.

If I can't get one going, I'll take you up on that. What size VM would you suggest Disk/RAM/CPU? My bro runs a hosting and data center company so I can get one set up pretty quickly.

Could somebody please help? I accidentally withdrawed BTC to my mining adress from the multi pool and its still not confirmed or pending..

If the address was right it is going to add to the Share/Multipool BTC balance, then will be used to buy SHARE on the exchange and send it to you. Not sure anyone can help you with that but the Dev.

Cant see it at the statitics page. But i will wait

Did it hit the blockchain yet, or is it still sitting at the exchange not sent? If the latter, you can probably open a support ticket and ask them to cancel it.

Many thanks guy Smiley

Yep not doubt. And I skipped a few wallet issues/upgrades, bitching and other noise.

I am trying to withdraw my BTC from Sharex, I sold some Coffee coins. It is asking me my 2 factor authentication even though I didn't enable it.

I tried but I kept getting invalid 2fa token so I gave up.

This is really weird.

Anybody else had this problem?

I think they require 2FA to be setup before they let you withdraw. So, I guess you'll have to set it up.

But why it doesn't let me set it up? I have 2FA everwhere, BTER, BITTREX, BITSTAMP etc.. Everywhere else I set it up w/o problems except here.

Have you managed to set it up?

No, I haven't done it yet. What issue are you having? Are you using Google Authentication or Authy? Sometimes there is a clock sync issue with Google Authenticator and you have to do "something" to fix it. I don't recall the something, if you google you can probably find it.

It would be wise to collect all those questions and help devs make a FAQ out of them.

good idea. There have been frequently asked questions about the following subjects:

-ShareCoin Specifications
-FeeShare Specifications
-POS
-Sharexcoin

and the info is spread across this thread, the OP, the coin website and the exchange website.

I actually offered to create one for the Dev, and asked him a question or two in PM, but he never replied. I'm sure it's mostly because he is busy.

Could someone recap what is this coin and what's happening with it?

Your best bet is to read Post 1.

Basically:

It is a PoS coin and 100,000,000 pre-mine were given away to 1523 Bitcoin talk members that applied and provided a ShareCoin signature/address in their bitcoin talk sig. Each person got either 65k (first 1000 people) or 58k (rest) SHARE.

Many have got their coins, some are still waiting the 7 day requirement.

About 9 days ago a new exchange opened by the ShareCoin developer called ShareXCoin.com.

About 2 days ago the exchange started offering stock called "FeeShares" on the exchange. There are 100,000 feeshares and each pays .001% of the revenue of the exchange in BTC to your ShareXCoin wallet/balance. The FeeShares can only be bought with ShareCoin and the cost are 20,000 SHARE each. At this time only 5000 FeeShares are available. Full info about FeeShares here: https://sharexcoin.com/fee_shares/about

There is a multipool and any BTC mined in the multipool (waffel.com) is used to buy Share and distributed to folks providing hash to the multipool. The BTC is placed as a buy order on the exchange.

If you hold your SHARE at the sharexcoin exchange the interest rate paid for PoS is doubled, the extra share comes from the SHARE used to pay for FeeShares and also that bought by the BTC buy orders from the multipool.

And... your all caught up.

I followed this advice and now my wallet is updated. However, my balance, stake and unconfirmed all say 0 SHARE. This despite my recent transactions showing the influx of my 65359 stake and an additional 132 that it was staking. Why is this the case? There are no outgoing transactions.

Can anyone help with this?

I also have that problem of not staking I've been trying for days to get an answer but no one seems to know Sad also you have to have your wallet encrypted and unlocked to stake i know that much because everyone keeps telling me that Lol

I found the BlackCoin FAQ on PoS staking. It seems you don't have to have your wallet open 100% of the time. I assume this coin will work the same. It's good info. http://www.blackcoin.co/faq/

ShareCoin needs to get ALOT more info on their site. This thread is full of the same questions over and over again.

I'm aware of that, that has nothing to do with my problem, my problem is my wallet refuses to stake regardless of it being opened or closed.

Sorry, no idea. I assume your coins aged more than 24 hours? It is opened and unlocked and still hasn't given you any stake?

0feepools

Please close your registration. You are consisting of almost all hash power, and this will hurt the coin as it tries to grow. We NEED to spread the hashrate out!

Can you explain how this hurts the coin? I don't understand.

From what I understand, as the coin grows, 0feepool will be the largest hash power for a long time. Therefore, it would be a 51% attack, and anyone mining at 0feepool would hoard all of the coins. At the moment, it is ok, but as more people become involved, it could be bad

Correct me if I'm wrong on anything. This is just what I see happening. It might not accually work this way but just in case  Grin

I think it would only be a problem if the pool owner is malicious. It's not a matter of "hording the coins".

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/658/what-can-an-attacker-with-51-of-hash-power-do

So, it's not really "bad" for the coin so to speak assuming the pool owner doesn't manipulate the blockchain.

Do we know anything about who runs this pool. What is his motivation for charging 0 fee? Is it to perform an attack? I don't know.

That said, if he IS MALICIOUS and is planning a 51% attack, then he certainly isn't going to stop registrations because he would want to control 51% of the hash power to perform his attack.

Hi all. I'm coding a gamble site to use both communitycoins and sharecoins.

You can find the site on http://comm.hopto.org

As I haven't received my stake yet(in two days), sharecoin house is empty. Nevertheless you can try it without betting.

If you find it usefull and want further development, please consider in donate only a few sharecoins to the address below, which is house address. With a bunch of coins (50-100) the site will start rolling.

Please consider making a little donation to: SeeLyjqeXAHFJvCTpBEVVmMYQnnqhr15tv

It doesn't work for me  Undecided

Sorry it is http://comm.hopto.org
(changed on the original message).

Site is quite slow. Where are the servers hosted?

Is anyone holding SHARE at the exchange site getting there 2x stake interest? If so, when is it being paid? Once a day.

Got question about LOCKED WALLET:

Once I locked it Im getting "Minting is suspended due to locked wallet". So I dont get any PoS coins... How to make it unlocked for good? I've search the whole wallet but cant find that option!

I would suggest not doing that. Just unlock it and leave it opened. It needs to be opened to Stake (afaict).

So I can mint coin only if I got my computer online, so that basiclly means to get max profit I need to be 24/7  Roll Eyes?

no, it doesn't have to be unlocked and running all the time. And the rate is always the same. You can't maximize profit by leaving it on all the time. I suggest you read up on POS in general.

Is this your personal observation? My understanding is the reason you get Stake rewards is not just because you own coin, but because you keep your wallet online to provide hashing power to the network to confirm transactions. Have you had your wallet closed to 2 or 3 days and still got the PoS reward for those days? (Yes I've read about PoS are peercoin of which this coin is a fork of.)

19178.08 BTC Daily Transaction volume SharexCoin needs to earn YOU 0.07 BTC back in one year

It's 15x more than Cryptsy 24h trade volume  Shocked

That's the point. With ShareCoins at 350 satoshis each, it's actually really stupid to purchase FeeShares because it would take you years to get the same BTC back that you would spend in FeeShares. I bought FeeShares as soon as I could and then did the maths and realised my huge mistake. I can't see the 3 FeeShares I own being able to make 0.2 BTC by the end of this year unless the system changes.

How is a 50% return in 1 year stupid?

The returns are infinite if you were given 3 FeeShares worth of ShareCoin as well.

That said, we don't know what the return is because we don't know the current revenue. If I was sure it would be 50% in a year I would buy MANY of them. Also, if the exchange does very well, then the FeeShares / BTC market will raise the price so in addition to dividends you are getting growth.

While everyone has said how expensive FeeShares are, their price has only gone up, against the expectations of many on this thread after the per FeeShare price was posted.
