Bittrex is an exchange I would like to see us on. They are US based on tranparent.
I liked AGX, but it might take them a while to get over the issue they had. They need a lot more volume.

Yes I think the seed option of the qora client is the best feature for this coin. Computer illiterates like me do not need to get paranoid when the software goes crazy. It's very easy to get your account back as compared to NXT, DOGE, BITCOIN, etc.. I think the voting system will be up and running on the 25th YAYYY!!
Of course there are deterministic wallets available for bitcoin like Electrum and Armory. NXT is a brain wallet, so no problem there either, the account id is base on your password. Doge, no idea if there are deterministic wallets for it. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, the deterministic wallet is a nice thing, I'm just saying, it's not a major differentiator. |

So you're emphasizing broader distribution of the coin, the mind set of "if people have it they will want to use it"?
This already happened due to the preposterous overselling and wallet problems after the dump. Why not exploit it? Merchant acceptance is like climbing a mountain, why not instead just play it where it landed? It would get the idea in the heads of potential users that NAUT isn't just an incrementally advance blockchain or tech gimmick, it's a fund (in progress) linked to Bitcoin and other CCs. It goes with, it doesn't go against. It doesn't want to replace anything, it wants to create worth. It would be good to create some kind of loyalty card program (based on blockchain addresses) where a merchant could say "do you want your 2 percent discount for paying in Bitcoin OR do you want to pay full price in Bitcoin and get 4 percent back in NAUT? - just give me your NAUT card for the cash back" I suggested some stuff like that and someone posted, oh with ideas like this I'm selling all my NAUT. |

Still out of sync - closed the wallet for +10 mins.. even restarted pc- 9 hours behind.
I doubt it' s just me - looks like a network problem.
Hope it gets fixed soon and i'm sure it will.
It's out of sync because the wallet displays that message when the last block it has is longer than X minutes ago. If it has the last block it is technically in sync. |

PoS Update We have begun the coding work on PoS, it is estimated it will take about a week to complete and then we will need to test. The one thing I have learned about crypto is to expect the unexpected! I don't want to over promise and under-deliver so I will only post about what is completed and tested. As we move further in the process I will be able to get a realistic date of implementation. My desire has always been for PoS to be implemented well before the PoW stage is done. In terms of stake (or 'dividend' for guys like me) I have set it at 2%. I had hoped to tie the stake to a well known price index, but relying on a third party would compromise network security. I chose 2% because most central banks target 2% inflation per year - Wall Street will understand this. I am also consulting with a few well respected economists to determine if there is such a thing as 'optimal money supply growth' - so far we have not found it - if we can determine an optimal method then we will try to incorporate with PoS...BUT no promises as this is much more art than science. -BK Devil's advocate. Lets bust out of this current alt market pump and dump day trader BS bubble, but what slice of "wall st." are you targeting? Too broad and not enough will get it. Too narrow and the same fate. A 10 year treasury is at 2.5%. Would likely be a shit buy right now and not your target market but I'm just saying. Investment Grade Corporate ETF is at 3.2%. You're trying to make Nauti stable and accepted. Would you say this is it? High Yield corporate ETF 4.48%. More volatile, doesn't really seem like your target market even if Nauti is going to be volatile until the market is deep enough to discount an appropriate price. S&P 500 earnings yield is ~6%. Is this your target market? Some narrower slice of this? Probably all poor comparison's really but what does "wall st." relate to? I could go on, but why is "wall st." coming to this party? I think they will in time, but why Nauti? And why now? You have the stabilization fund so the pitch is less price volatility (after the market discovers/discounts the price more efficiently - too thinly traded right now combined with mining supply phase), why is 2% attractive? Are you pitching total return so the 2% inflation + steady price increases tied to NAUTi acceptance? Perhaps non-correlated asset class. Okay, but does the potential return on this really offset the risk of a new experimental, non-correlated asset? Love what you're doing but maybe we need another "wall st.," name or 3 to join forces and up the ante a bit. What exactly is your elevator pitch to the non-crypto initiated? Why would they get Nauti? Not sure I'm seeing a fully fleshed out pitch yet. None of the algo or POS stuff is going to be remotely relevant in that brief moment in time. And what the ADD, Pavlov's dogs conditioned alt market thinks doesn't remotely matter in that moment. I'm in, but I'm curious what the pitch really is? First hurdle is getting btc. Second is graduating to see Nauti/alts. I see it long term. I'm in Nauti, but I want to really see what angle you are taking. And when I roll into my office tomorrow I want to play off that angle and help them get it. The more of us get the non-alt market pitch the more we can help others get it and get Nauti. Have you landed any high profile Nauti investors that want to lend their name? Very good questions im sure BK will give us a hint on what his plans are, i think block times will be all sorted after POS but for the moment its really slow blocks, i dunno why as the mining difficulty is higher than at its low point so shouldn't things be chugging along nicely. Seriously, we've been living with this issue for a month now. I feel the digisheild adjustment difficulty is flawed. It adjusts too radically. the coin is useless with day long block times. |

The 1% Fee Issue
Let me say that I think I got mixed up in writing this out. We initially intended the 1% fee to undercut paypal and credit card vendors (being the typical payment systems for e-commerce) who on average charge merchants anywhere from 2-8% fees depending on the payment method. In this scenario, we were factoring in the merchant paying the fees, but being rewarded half of it back for validating with the network and allowing the decentralized ratings and review system to apply to them.
I will take the hit on this one and say that I think I just simply wrote it up ass backwards from my head when I was writing everything up.
So, I'm still confused. The credit card fees are charged to the merchant not the sender. Your white paper says 1% fee charged to the sender. Is that still the plan? What was written backwards? |

Is this something the community fund is interested in providing a bounty for?
There already is one http://qora.club/ no one really uses it. If no one use it , I will close it soon just for saving money. Was not aware. It seems having multiple threads for various topics would be much more productive than one super thread. |

How would this affect the coin population? For example, I think the percentage should start higher and adjust down as you get to your original projected 16m coins. I haven't done the math, but figure out what percentage rate would garner the same amount of coins as the current mining. ALthough, I think maybe the current mining is going to fast. I suggest that you project what level of interest would take the coin to 15million in 5 years using a percentage that reduces each year, say 20% year 1, 15% year 2, hoping to hit 15mm year 5, and then go to 1% - 2% for maintenance. Have you considered a PoS that stops mining coins at X number of coins and the stake rewards at that point come 100% from fees. This would keep the population of coins fixes at the final population, preventing inflationary price creap and instead cause a deflationary creap, ie, 1 coins buying power will increase as more and more people use the coin? thanks... |

Especially when you consider what NAUT will be worth in a few months time. Pizza and BTC comes to mind, while I am on this point 200 NAUT for a T-Shirt?? GULP, SPLUTTER Hummmmmm I will have to think about that.  The shirt is cool enough that so what if you technically end up spending 200 dollars for it @ $1 = 1 NAUT later on you make BK very happy then  I will be much more than that within a year if we keep growing and expanding at this pace :-) True, however we life today....if you can pay with future money...would be great, because then NAUT has become a Creditcard... Also, current fiat value of NAUT = $0.069221 (Ref. CoinMarketCap), making a NAUT T-Shirt $13.84. Assuming the shirts cost $20 USD that means a $6.16 loss for each shirt until there is a gross count that covers the difference. But with overall fairly few t-shirts (as of right now), the T-Shirt gross is fairly small. Basically don't consider it 200 lost naut, you have to consider it as it's fiat value (as of right now). As Naut's floor changes (and stabilizes) I'm sure the price will change. If it ends up being 1 NAUT = $1 as a floor I'm sure the Shirts will change to 20 NAUT, and so on. Also, I have no idea what to tip on an article, lol. Yeah, just buy the shirts and buy some more NAUT to compensate  Also, if you buy a shirt for 200 NAUT and the price goes over 1$ you'll probably still be extremely happy assuming 200 NAUT isn't all you have :-) Also, do we know who will work on the further technical development of NAUT? I'm thinking POS, future updates and so on. I would expect if the USD value of NAUT grows that much the NAUT price of the t's would be adjusted. I think they were originally prices assuming a NUAT would be around 20k sat. |

Not to get too abstract, but there are many on this Earth who claim there is technology that exists that goes beyond anything we thought possible for this time period, whether it be alien or not, it is almost certain that there are technologies kept secret which are not revealed publicly.
I find it irritating how some people in this forum seem to think there is nothing in the world that they don't know of or haven't heard of.
"Some people" here. BTW: I never said that. But, the scientific community is much more open and transparent now than it every was. This is because people know that sharing research helps the greater whole. Is it possible that the NSA has built a quantum computer, sure. The real question is, is it probable? |
