1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 02, 2014, 03:01:01 PM
Hi Folks. I'd would be really nice if we could get some more trade volume over at ShareXCoin https://sharexcoin.com/market/NXT_BTC. The price there is quite a bit higher than BTER at this moment... I expect that is due to low volume.  But, someone could make a few bucks on Arbitrage right now anyway.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does it take so long to confirm? on: June 02, 2014, 02:43:47 PM
Some require a bigger miner fee, if I`m guessing right.

Yes, if your transaction size is smaller than 1,000 bytes, it needs to be sent with fees. If your outputs of your transactions is more than 0.01, you need not include a fee. Look at this page: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees

Should all wallets be calculating the correct fee? Isn't that the point of the "reference" wallet?

Can you still buy FeeShares with ShareCoin?

I thought that was no longer possible and the only way to buy FeeShares is with bitcoins.
there are 10000 feeshares for sale.sharex just sold around 2000+.zip said he will reopen the share/fee market 2-3 months later.

Thanks, I found it confusing because I could not find a share/fee market when I looked.
sharecoin-feeshare market was closed , so you can't find it now.
It will be reopened when the dev think it's necessary.

It will be opened when it IS necessary. Does anyone remember how many FeeShares were sold? I recall it was around 500 or so.

2000+

I pretty clearly remember the original amount put up for sale was 2000. So, I'm certain it wasn't more than that. It seems the FeeShare page is no longer on the exchange though.

Quote
5% (5,000 FEEs) were sold to the public on May 10, 2014 when ShareXcoin first launched.

The page is here: https://sharexcoin.com/interests/about

Right, forgot this info was there. The fee_shares/about page is now a 404 though.

SO, it was 5000 originally available, and not all of them were sold. But, I thought the number was under 2000.

I'd still like to see the transparency info that was promised, IE, number of FeeShares owned, payments per share per day, etc.

1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - The only coin backed up by a real bussiness on: June 02, 2014, 04:37:22 AM
1000+, but less than 1,200 .I forgot the exact number , it did not reach 2,000 as lzr1900 said.
if less than 1,200 why Revenue collected from ShareXcoin is divided into 100,000?
why is not divided into 1,200 feeshare's holder?
at least 50% for sharexcoin and 50% just for 1200 FeeShare's holder
That's because there are 100,000 feeshares in total.
sharex owns 50,000.
the rest 50,000 will be sold to public.
read it here.
https://sharexcoin.com/interests/about

100,000 FeeShares available
and only 50% for public
yes i know that
but at this moment only 1,200 feeshare reached
revenue should is divided into 100,000 if sold 50,000 freeshare (sold out)

So, if a company issues stock and only 10% of it sells, you think they should give out 100% of the dividends to 10% of the stock holders. That's not how dividends work.

1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 01, 2014, 07:36:46 PM
ok, another newbie question: how do you access the NRS browser interface? Thanks
are you using one click instal or did you download the actual nrs client?

if its nrs run the nrs command line client like thing.. think its called "run" or "nrs" not sure.. wait for it to say successfully connected to nrs and then run the file with the .html file (chrome/firefox/ie logo) should work.

thats the only "webclient" thats working.. one click install one is a locally run program. not browser.

This is where I get confused again: here's what I did originally- I downloaded this file https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/downloads/nxt-client-1.1.4.zip   unzipped the file; double clicked the run.bat file; waited for it to do its thing then went to this site http://localhost:7876/  and then accessed my NXT  client (or wallet or whatever is the correct terminology)

since then I've downloaded the official NXT client version 1.2 from here http://www.nxt.org/client-download/ and having done that all I now need to do when I want to access my NXT client etc I simply click on the program called Nxt wallet which either by virtue of having downloaded the zip file or the official NXT client version 1.2  (I don't know which)  is now listed in my list of programs.

I don't know if what I've downloaded and am using is what you have referred to as a 'one click install';  'a locally run program' . However if i don't first click on the program on my PC called Nxt wallet and instead simply try to access my client by going to http://localhost:7876/ i always get the 'Unable to connect' message.  Huh

Obviously I'm missing something here (apart from sufficient brain cells) but I don't know what!

Any further help for the hard of understanding would be very welcome - thanks  Smiley

The wallet is basically two halves. A "client" and a "server". The "server" runs and gets commands from the "Client".

So, when you run the wallet you have in launches the server and a UI. While that is running, you can open the browser to connect to the "server" and type in a password (any password) and that will create a NXT id. Viola... a new wallet/id.

It is possible to just run the "server" part only as well, but I'm not sure with the wallet you have. I haven't tried. Also, you can just run the wallet, minimize it to tray and then use your browser just as well.

I know this is sort of stupid but I did this to test what people knew about Qora. You see I have recently come to the conclusion that almost no one has any interest in Qora, no massive rush to a new innovation in Crypto. When I trade on Sharexoin I'm literally the only one buying cause a day later my order is still the last one. Its bizarre.

I think the guy who said Qora was part of the NXT family I think is the key. Because of so many clones and IPO's of NXT in the last months Qora I think is overlooked as some kind of NXT clone with a few added things thrown in.

Its very early but apart fro the price putting it high in Coinmarketcap I would say Qora has less interest that the average shitcoin pump and dump. I wont make any conclusions but its clear to me people are clueless to Qora and what it is. This is both negative and positive however you want to look at it.

The price was slowly rising on ShareX... then Polo added it, and everyone moved over there and the price tanked again. It bound to rise again as the client becomes more stable and the specifics of the PoS and other features are made clearer.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: May 31, 2014, 04:46:41 AM
Almost a day keep the wallet online as blocks, it is still not generated. Sad
What I do not like this?

1, make sure it is unlocked
2, make sure u have enough Qora
1.+
2. Enough is how much?

Still no PoS info forth coming. But, I guess you'll have to have at least 500k before you see any PoS blocks come your way.

sharexcoin.com is shit. Chinese made this shit platform.

500sat or increase 525% Smiley

Woot! .99 BTC of volume. Oh wait.

That said, ShareX is in no way dead. It is new. It will grow if the high level of support and performance keeps up when there are 10k people trading on there.

Whats the Interestrate for POS ?

I don't think it is straight interest. I think it is more like NXT where the transaction fees are earned by staking or holding. Were still waiting for info on the all new POS algo.

I opened a ticket logically...wanted to buy some more but if I can't withdraw there's no point.
Gotta use the OTC it seems.

I've heard zero problems about ShareXCoin withdrawals.

A man feared his wife wasn't hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid.

Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family doctor to discuss the problem.

The Doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.

Here's what you do," said the Doctor, "stand about 40 feet away from her, and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you.

If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response."

That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was in the den. He says to himself, "I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens."

Then in a normal tone he asks, 'Honey, what's for dinner?"

No response...

So the husband moves closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats, "Honey, what's for dinner?"

Still no response.

Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his wife and asks, "Honey, what's for dinner?"

Again no response.

So, he walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away.. "Honey, what's for dinner?"

Again there is no response.

So he walks right up behind her... "Honey, what's for dinner?"

NXT Has won the vote on ShareXCoin.com.

The dev said the implementation is done and they are doing final testing. But, they are working on some client optimizations to ensure NXTers have an awesome experience before they make the market live.

I know we should announce first before doing any maintance, but yesterday maintance was unexpected. I tried to do it as fast as possible and luckily it only takes 30 minutes.

Can we expect Nxt to be  on in 12 more hours .. or integration take more time?
It may take a while, I don't know for sure. 2 or 3 days perhaps.

IF you go with the user submitting an account token, make sure to put the steps to do it. Seems like DGEX has ton's of problems with people not knowing how to submit a token.

Support the NXT community by driving up the price through HODLing. We're almost #3.  Grin

wth is "HODling"?

The same as HOLding  Wink

Ah, we just spell it wrong for fun?
