well, i'm not impressed with the distribution of Cube.
and the fork will take place in about 50 days. and i'm not really sure how it will affect hyper inflation at all Cheesy

but seeing someone waiting, and i keep involving myself in a coin that i dont own
for fun i compiled a mac wallet from the new source Smiley

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5j8d4FSc7drZ0lwTHloN1pXd1k/view?usp=sharing

..
if anyone has any concern, i have been compiling official and unofficial mac wallets for a few months.
see the thread in my sig for a vague list of the wallets i have compiled.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DRZ] [DROIDZ] [ANTI-INSTAMINE] - A FRESH NEW START - WALLET UPDATES!!! on: January 29, 2016, 12:16:03 AM
The C-Cex wallet (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drzold/wallet.dws?11495.htm) still holds about 207K stolen coins, and it stakes! Most means the current owner could try ready to swap them for DRZv3. 207K is not much compared to the whole amount which was stolen, but is pretty considerable amount... and its mu-u-uch bigger than my whole stash of DRZ Grin. Would be right to prevent them to be swapped and dumped (for example make new hardfork in old DRZv2.4 chain, and introduce a new wallet, which invalidate transactions from those addresses).

Anyway, SoopY, whatever you decide to go with, I am ok with that. Community trusts you and thats the most important part!

i asked C-cex for a copy of that wallet.dat or if they could burn it.
they suggested i talk to dev.
can someone else try asking them?

or, those addresses could be blocked?

..
that staking is only recent. someone is paying attention :p
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DRZ] [DROIDZ] [ANTI-INSTAMINE] - A FRESH NEW START - WALLET UPDATES!!! on: January 28, 2016, 03:13:52 AM
whilst the chains do have the same amount of coins,

the dump of drz1 effectively did create a higher coin count as those coins were already swapped, so will need to be swapped again.
so they count for x2.

any furuther swap to a new chain, will need to count drz1 AND drz2

also there does seem to be 300k? still in c=cex wallet.
i asked c-cex for the .dat but they suggested i ask the dev :p
i replied but havent heard back.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DRZ] [DROIDZ] [ANTI-INSTAMINE] - A FRESH NEW START - WALLET UPDATES!!! on: January 28, 2016, 03:06:55 AM
there could be a careful juggle. with a hardfork to create new coins (and enable masternodes as meant to be)

we need a hardfork to enable masternodes as required,
it might be easier just to generate another 1.7 million coins (or however many) whilst doing this
rather than creating a whole new chain.

then a 1:1 swap could take place

.

a question is whether there are still drz1 addresses that should be barred from the swap process ?

edit..
i believe it is possible to do a name rebrand and keep the same chain?

i'm thinking this way will reduce work for the exchanges and overall reduce need for a larger swap.
so tis simpler than doing another full swap to a new coin
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigiCube C-CEX MERCHANT ANDROID StakeStick Smart TV Staker on: January 28, 2016, 02:31:29 AM
there's obviously noobs who are not following this discussion with useful knowledge.

1. when you succesfully stake, the reward is based on three things.
  • the amount that is staking, ie the amount that was transacted
  • the age of that amount in relation to 2000% per year, ie one day will be 2000/365, one week will be 2000/52

so if you have a 5 coin amount stake after 1 day the return will be
5 coins * ( 2000% / 365 ) = 5*(20/365) = 0.273972602739726

a cap on this reward will then limit the stake reward to that cap value, the above example is not at risk of being capped.

however, the #1 richlist which obviously belongs to iGotSpots earned 1222 coins in a single stake in roughly 1 day
http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/tx.php?tx=6653ac00faff412ca08fbb95aae4a221fd2c9a2505d430d6e706454d72bb9420

23,143.6603 coin * (2000% / 365) =roughly calculated=> 23143 * (20/365) = 1265    (not exactly the same figures as above, but roughly close enough)

this stake would have been highly capped. so iGotSpots would have lost 1212 coins with a 10 coin cap reward.

-=-=-
The other thing to consider is how compound interest works in relation to staking coins.

Compound interest is when you get interest on the interest you have already received.

a 2000% return per annum with NO compounding would return you exactly 2000% interest.
=> 5 coins would then earn 100 coins in one year, giving you 105 coins.

WITH compound interest, the actual return is based on how often you receive interest.
you receive interest on the interest you have already recieved.

if you received a daily interest return (based on 2000% annual rate)
=> 5 coins would then become 1,429,686,276.18 coins in one year.

THAT IS A STUPENDOUS DIFFERENCE.
the actual return is based on how much you are staking, and how often it successfully stakes.

The most succesful way to compound your staking coins, is to stake them as often as you can.
And the best way to do that is to keep them in a single clump.

A single clump of 100 coins will stake quicker than 20 clumps of 5 coins.

simply put,
exponential growth benefits the richer because their returns are higher in simple numbers.

eg
5 coins compounding monthly over a year +> 646,539.1
100 coins compounding monthly over a year => 12,930,781.92

from a difference of 95 coins between initial stakes to a difference of 12284242.82 coins

-=-=-

How a cap might influence stake returns.

A cap will limit the maximum amount of coins you can receive for a single reward
the transaction above had a stake return of 1222 coins, if there was a 10 coin cap in place, it would have received the maximum 10 coins.

The maximum cap will be reached by staking 365 coins in one day.
however at this juncture, the above 23143 coins staked in about one day, so the difficulty seems to suggest those 365 coins will stake in about 23143/365 days +> 63.405 days

At this point the maths becomes a head fuck as you then attempt to juggle the correct stake size vs diffictuly vs compounding returns vs max capped reward.

THE important thing is that a cap will benefit small stake holders, because in the attempt to receive maximum cap reward the large stakes will be divided into many smaller stakes.
THIS will reduce income for larger owners as those many smaller stakes will reduce the compounding interest effects of larger stakes.

THIS will benefit small holders. Small coin owners will not be as strongly effected as Large coin ownes.

...

vs. spots idea of

Anyway, I like the idea of having a minimum coin age to get the 2000% and giving a flat reward of like 1 CUBE to those underneath it

If we set that to 10,000, for example, then an input of 5000 would have to not stake for two days to get the higher rate, an input of 1000 would have to wait 10 days, etc, etc

This value could also be on a sliding scale. Like, you must have 2% of the current block number to qualify for higher rates or something. Currently that would be 6927.72 CUBE. That's actually a pretty good idea to make the scale slide up with time

this requires some consideration.

as the coin supply grows, the amount of staking inputs will grow, the coin code will continue to spit the inputs.
this will increase difficulty by increasing coin weight and number of inputs.
the increase in difficulty will result in a natural increase in coin age for succesful inputs.

whether this will reduce hyperinflation to a useful level is another question?
again the maths involved are a head fuck.

this does seem again to reward the richer holders, it seems to merely reduce the possible compounding timeline. ie compounding interest is still available but less often.
exponential growth is best appreciated by the richer holders.

--edit
not to forget that currently most stake returns are under 1 coin, will they be capped to 1 coin ?
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigiCube C-CEX MERCHANT ANDROID StakeStick Smart TV Staker on: January 27, 2016, 10:41:04 AM
So let's put also a vote. I like option 4 for now!
Agree we need to control the inflation, but we can try to spread the coin around and get new investors. The most attractive here is the high stake, so why should we reduce it and lose investors.

the majority of current stakes are below 10 coins, you can keep your stupidly unsustainable inflation rate and still cap it.
to give some sense of control for the future.

--
edit
if anyone wants an actual sustainably useful coin anyway? it's all about mad profits vs bagholders at this point.

does anyone even understand exponential growth?

look at this beautiful graph and watch it keep growing ... http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/charts.php?type=supply&startheight=100&endheight=344684
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigiCube C-CEX MERCHANT ANDROID StakeStick Smart TV Staker on: January 27, 2016, 04:43:00 AM
I do not regret the way CUBE was handled. The coin is still the same as it was last week. If you have a problem with CUBE, it's because you don't like me personally. Simple as that

lol. so the fact that it has an obvious destiny of being a hyperinflated valueless coin is only because i dont like you.

also that you refuse to own #1 address is also because i don't like you. such spite

dude shut the fuck up you probably have zero cube invested, the dev did nothing illegal or devious

devious like not owning up to being Spots ?
or devious like owning #1 richlist and not owning up to it?

devious is devious

just have a look at the transactions on the top wallet.
deposits totalling 1281 on 27th oct.
unfortunately the explorer is a bit skewiff and the link might not work to the correct page ??
http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/address.php?address=CZDkAUACJ1ntNdxhbpo4ut8eVDiymfd7NC&txstart=12000

the first deposit is in block
http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/block.php?height=19569 transaction http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/tx.php?tx=c94736702d9466436e027ecd4a20d7981bf21b383a4f068e2375c5e4620e3976

with the then total coin count of 15,425
then the address #1 on the richlist received 8.3% of total coins on that date.

why isnt it listed as dev wallet ?

so is Spots ready to claim #1 yet ?

who else would have access to so many coins so early on ?
unless you were scammed by killerjoegreece of course, which is another good answer.

edit.
and for more amusement, the first deposit of those six transactions came at 27 Oct 2015 06:34:54
meanwhile here in the thread at October 27, 2015, 06:25:17 AM

Caught up on all the sig campaign participants. Thanks everyone, approaching 60!

.
note to presstab,
please add to your explorer more information on block pages as to amount of coins transacted (to prevent the need to go into individual transactions to find out)
also add a previous block and next block link.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigiCube C-CEX MERCHANT ANDROID StakeStick Smart TV Staker on: January 27, 2016, 04:37:14 AM
If anyone else thinks 100 is too low, please post here what your suggestion is. I am open to listen

I also think at least 1000 (probably 2k-3k). Think also in the long term. There is a limitation of blocks per day or month and if 100 or 1000 is fine today, difficulty will go up followed by weeks to get a stake and this would probably kill the coin.

If every block staked for 100 (long-term talk), then it would be creating 288,000 new coins per day

most stakes are currently less than 1 coin reward atm. a 100 coin cap is pretty meaningless
doing a 10 coin cap would be interesting enough in that most people wouldnt give a shit and would leave their wallet staking by itself.
others would have fun crafting input sizes to maximise returns.

would be useful then to add manual split/combine values.
--
have a look at http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/chain.php to see the last 100 stake amounts,

here are the highest rewards from those in descending order
113.35
60.84
58.97
12.38
12.16
11.55

over 90 out of the last 100 are valued under 10
the majority are under 1 coin.

.
an interesting point on that 113 coin stake, is that it was a greater than 100% reward. initial stake was 85.4736 coins, and it was about 25 days old.
that's pretty cool, and it seems that that wallet is not a regular staker.

yes, this (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drz/address.dws?344.htm, 2RL8w6zM57Ly3B4MN3Cc9qoW9sfy5RGbaV) is the swap main wallet. It still has all the unswapped coins, and it stakes!

And yes, its very nice to see the new blockchain explorer in cryptoid. It means not only dark forces are working, but also forces of light are not sleeping Grin

the remaining pre-mine has been moved to some new addresses, there was some concern that it was still vulnerable

in the above address at the time of the move there was a balance of 1,323,192.972073 DRZ

as the wallets on the explorer are not updated real time, it's hard to see total balances without looking at individual addresses atm.

1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Introducing Francs FRN. Leading the Revolution. on: January 25, 2016, 02:32:09 PM
We've discussed about the time locking implementation today.

I personally ignored most of the concept. It seems that nLockTime'd transactions are not treated as standard transactions, therefore not kept in the mempools or relayed between miners. Except those with special rules who will mine until the nLockTime is elapsed.
It would be our responsibility to keep the signed transaction and publish it at the right time. Creating raw transactions tx with the nTimeLock parameter is something that seems to be commonly misunderstood among the users and there's many downs using that feature.

Opinions are pretty mitigate. We're still looking at the best way to do this.

vs.

The quick, easy & dirty way:

- divide premine into equal parts and deposit  into for example 10 different addresses known to the public (chunking could be different)
- timelock those coins at these addresses in the code, release coins over time/at given timestamps. (release plan could be different), release updated code/wallets
- wait for the majority to update therefore effectively locking those premined coins
- hit exchange

Yay! Wink

it seems that wurstgelee suggests putting a bar on transactions from particular addresses with a timestamp in the coin code. which will require forking so all clients will follow that rule.

it should be reasonably simple to do, and with the small amount of exchanges it would be easy to pull off atm.

.
the obvious outcome of both methods, is to make the coins un-accessible until a later date.

i just had a look at tracking D3 coins (or D2) depending on which naming protocol you follow :p

i'm going to stick with D3 !!

anyway.
yobit coins are in a huge clump still.

c-cex is split up a bit more. but this is one of theirs.

i'm not sure the best way to communicate with cryptoid but i've been messaging them with these, so they can add names to the richlist/wallets

all i'm doing atm is just looking at my past transactions in/out and checking the addresses Smiley

I think the mere fact that the dev has not dumped any of his coins on the market proves that he is a trust worthy person and is not the scammer you make him out to be.

lol.
you are obviously deliberately being a noob.

question. would you prefer to dump your coins for pissy amount or mega awesome amount?
same answer applies to anyone who has coins to dump.

i personally am unsure of his motivations towards making money from cube, whether it would or would not lead to him dumping the coins he refuses to admit to owning.

there are no obvious rules stating that he must be totally clear and transaparent about all things,

look at the stakesticks, they are apparently in the mail and people are receiving them. but there has been no individual response from the dev to the orderers saying order received, sent etc.
if all things were clear and transparent there would be more information forthcoming, I would know that my order is in the post and even possibly have a tracking number.
but seemingly, this lack of transparency is no reason to distrust him, because at this poin some people have received them?
(although to be hones, the one obvious poster has some relationship with Spots which in the real world makes his posts have no necessary usefulness as to the whereabouts of my order)

it is the same with the coins, it is only the past history of alt-shit-coins that make their ownership an issue.
if you want to trust that just because you're a shill or spots alt he will never dump the coins, that's not enough for me.

i know he has lied in the past about very important stuff (regarding gorillabucks code integrity), and i know he is not without flaws.
this does not mean Cube is doomed, but it does suggest he should be more transparent.

Cheesy i have been doing some blockchain trawling the last few days,

i have to say cryptoID offer some fine explorer features, largest wallets and overview are fine
presstab has some useful graphs, but lacks ability to interact with the chain as cleanly.

would be interesting to do a good review of the differing explorer services ..
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigiCube C-CEX MERCHANT ANDROID StakeStick Smart TV Staker on: January 25, 2016, 03:39:36 AM
it's not politics to discuss possible distribution problems.
richlist #1 certainly seems to belong to iGotSpots.

and while it may not be a scam, that is a purely semantical argument. i had a look through the chain and it certainly seems that there was questionable distribution going on,
#1 is an obvious example, where it was initially funded by 1281 coins at a time when most people were lucky to recieve 1 to 4 coins /week.

there are other large unexplained transfers going on if anybody cares to follow the coins, (large for the time frame during first few weeks when the total distributed coins should have been very low)

obviously iGotSpots could do anything he wanted with the pre=mine, he has been distributing the sig campaign funds regularly and the only complaints seem to have been fixed.
it was purely up to him to put those funds into the #1 address, however he has seemingly denied owning that address

it is possible that those coins were given as a bounty for some services rendered, i would discount this option due to the amount of funds involved.

.
i believe the stakesticks are real and being distributed (possibly due to my lovely nature Cheesy), and should i receive the one i ordered i will be glad to publish details

i also believe that #1 address belongs to spots because of the amount of coins involved, and also because they seem to be untouched, except for occasional reducing number of inputs.

there is no necessary problem for the dev to control such a large quantity of coins, however it is a problem to refuse to address the issue directly.

edit.
some of us are here for the joy of crypto, some of us are here to have fun, some of us are here to make money as well.
the desire to make money should give no excuse for dodgy unethical behaviour at the expense of others

some coins are obvious thievery, some are more subtle.
