Of course it doesn't have to be Southgate. I just talked about it because of the recent rumours going around.  Smiley  There are surely better options with really good careers.

I have already mentioned Conte as an example. He is familiar with the Premier League already you know. He has a nice history with Chelsea like winning a Premier League and an FA Cup titles. Maybe he would be considered as one of the candidates in case of deciding to sack Erik ten Hag. However there are new rumours like Sir Jim Ratcliffe can give another chance to Erik ten Hag for next season. If this happens they had better make their transfers properly in the summer.

Manchester United will be damned if they think that Gareth Southgate would do a better job than Erik Ten Hag in the long run, then they must be fucking blind.
England manager and he is yet to win a single trophy with the national team. Is this the so called coach that would defeat Manchester City, Liverpool and also win Manchester United the Premier League and the Champions League Competition? They shouldn't forget that no English Coach has ever won the Premier League Competition and Gareth Southgate would be of no good use. Both Michael Carrick and David Moyes are far better than him.

Antonio Conte works with already made players, I see that the plans of Manchester United would be to develop youngins just as Sir Alex Ferguson did with the 92 set of players and ahead.
Erik Ten Hag or Roberto De Zebri would do grand. But how good is Zebri if he handles a top club like Manchester United?

Seeing Arsenal struggling to get rid of Porto in the 16th round made me doubt them and I think Arsenal's mentality is still the same as before, nothing has improved from that team.

And Bayern Munich has high confidence against Arsenal because the last meeting between these two teams was where Bayern Munich could beat Arsenal easily.
There are many factors that make Bayern Munich very favorite to be able to beat Arsenal, one of which is Bayern Munich's great motivation to be able to win a trophy this season after they failed in the Bundeliga and I think that is quite realistic and in terms of strength, Bayern Munich is quite capable.

FC Porto are no small side in the European Competitions, infact they should have been the club to progress to this round but props to Arsenal who fought hard to hold down that own goal from the first half to second half of the game. They're not doing so bad though I'm not a supporter of them in the Champions League Competition. They don't have the character and mentality to win Bayern Munich. I will doubt them until they prove otherwise.

Bayern Munich also have seen them players returning from Injury. Even the Injured Harry Kane has found his way back from the recovery process.
I do believe that Bayern Munich would see the next round over arsenal. But this is football, anything can definitely happen arsenal can still make things happen.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 28, 2024, 02:38:24 PM
I assume PSG would be the only team Zidane would be interested in if he becomes okay with managing a team again. His wish has been to manage France indeed but it doesn't look like he will get the opportunity in the near future for now. I would really like to see Zidane managing PSG some day. I believe they can be more successful with him.

He would only need to be free about building the team according to his own system. PSG have a lot of money so they can do the same as Manchester City have done for Guardiola. But before anything else I don't know whether Zidane would think of such agreement with them.  Sad

Maybe Paris Saint Germans and also Marseille because I've read stuffs relating to him working with Marseille. I feel like he can only handle a big club with world class players and not build and mold players into goal machines same way Xabi Alonso has done for Bayern Leverkusen.

What he achieved with Real Madrid I'd say was with the help of these world class players, Toni Kroos, Bale, Benzema, Casemiro, Luka Modric and also Cristiano Ronaldo. As they all worked hard to get the Champions League Competition for three consecutive seasons.
They Paris Saint Germans have enough time to prepare for the game against Barcelona. But the game against Marseille during the weekend seems like a easy going game.

Did you think Ten Hag's poor season at Manchester United is because of a few players being out due to injury? Even if the injured players are fit to play, Manchester United will continue to perform as they did. Take a look at Liverpool, they are greater than Manchester United, yet they have more injured players. Liverpool has more players absent, but they are still winning games and competing for the title with Manchester City and Arsenal, can Manchester United do the same with the players available? Manchester United are still struggling to break into the top four.

We may blame Ten Hag's, he's in control and responsible for everything. The current squad cannot do anything for Manchester United, they must sign players during the transfer window. Consider Manchester United's defense line, Varane can no longer defend and there is no one to replace him at the moment. Even in their last game against Liverpool, Manchester United could not have equalized, if Klopp had not removed his top players.

Y'all blame Erik Ten Hag but not Eddie Howe? You'd talk about comparisons I know, so why compare Manchester United and Liverpool? These are different clubs with different mentality of the game. You have every right to blame the manager but considering how Newcastle have back them coach even as he's having a bad season, I feel like Manchester United fans show have just done better. Varane not too bad, he just needs the right partner by his side and that's Lisandro Martinez who should be back, ready and fit for the game against Brentford.

Injuries contributed to his poor season, you have to look at what he did last season before writing him off this season. He needs better players and even if he was to use the back up players, did the deliver? Do you want him to go score the goals they should have scored?
Personally, I feel like Erik Ten Hag deserves another season. Jim Radcliffe and his teammates shouldn't bring in Gareth Southgate for crying out loud  Grin
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 28, 2024, 01:44:05 PM
Without Harry Kane, I think it is very understandable to say that they are going to lose the attacking power that they have. They will not be as strong as they are with him. And of course, Bayern Munich named Harry Kane and on top of that, he also needs to perform. I am not saying he has to score, even though if he does score it is going to be great. But him being in important positions and situations even off the ball is going to be a great threat for the opponent. And he's a player who knows very well how to do that. Bayern Munich is definitely going to suffer in defense. So they will be really hoping that they will be able to somehow manage that with better offense

Aye' .... I will agree, it was like that when they saw Robert Lewandoski leaving, they had good winger's to create these chances but who to convert them was lacking.
Harry Kane made a good move to the club it's just that Thomas Tuchel and Injury problems spoiled plans, now it's almost like Harry Kane won't be winning his first career trophy. This is my only vex about the happenings in the German bundesliga. Anyways, Xabi Alonso and Bayern Leverkusen deserves the trophy. So much hardworking put into these Competition, I don't need no noise outside to tell me what's to be or not.

Hopefully, he won't be rushed back into the game they'd play against Borrussia Dortmund since he is just returning back from Injury. They have a tougher task in the Champions League Competition against Arsenal.
Harry Kane has also been a good goalscorer against his former London rivals, I hope to see him bang a goal or two again.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 28, 2024, 12:55:37 PM
You should also notice that Man United will also be playing against tough opponents like Liverpool and Arsenal, but with their current disposition, they might trip on much easier teams.
I think Aston Villa is probably already beyond United's reach, but, luckily, if the below source is correct, they only need to get to 5th place to play in the UCL next season:

ps. why do we have 2 EPL threads?

Manchester United hasn't lost to Liverpool though during the games they have played this season, but this final straw would mean alot since they'd be having players like Alexander Arnold and Diogo Jota returning and to be fit for the game against Manchester United, we will definitely come to that on the 7th of April.

For Arsenal, they have always got the better of Manchester United firbsine seasons, maybe Manchester United can try to challenge them this second leg. They lose the first game so I see no ho they'd want to repeat same lose against Arsenal. Anyways, Gunner's still remains my favorite club to win the Premier League Competition even if I'm fond of Manchester United.

I can't give a response to that honestly, but since it's kickin' smoothly without spammers, good then. We'd hope Manchester United overtakes Aston Villa then. Lol

No doubt Arteta is a good manager, he already made Arsenal be a strong team again. In the last 2 seasons, Arsenal always joined the race for the title. Even in the current season, Arsenal is leading the EPL standings, they are a great team under Arteta management. If he watched the match Real Madrid U18 vs Atletico Madrid U18, he is very likely interested in certain young players of both teams. I guess Arteta may have a plan to sign youngsters of Atletico Madrid.

Yes, Arteta has the chance to give a trophy for Arsenal. But the competition is very tight, Liverpool and Man City won't let Arteta to win the trophy. However, if Arteta can beat Guardiola in the next match, I think Arteta will have the chance to win the EPL trophy for this season.

Source: tribuna.com

Before they got this strong, they have gone through phases an I'm sure this particular phase should win them the Premier League Competition no matter how difficult and tough this season might have started and is also going for Arsenal. The Premier League has never been for one chicken side you see.
I also need to clarify the talks of signing yougins from Spanish academies, could be true because this has been them strength from time.

Mikel Arteta remains my number one favorite to win the Premier League Competition this season, they have come a long way an they do deserve to be lifting that trophy.
There's three names mentioned to be out Injured for the game against Manchester City which are;  Saka, Gabriel and Martineli. Manchester City though have more important players out Injured.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 27, 2024, 08:01:18 PM
It wouldn't be surprising if he went to Bayern Munich because I remember he has a history there as a football player. I don't think Xabi, who did wonders in the Bayer Leverkusen story, would go directly to Bayern so as not to disrespect them. Maybe it could be an option for Liverpool. Liverpool could be better with him in the Premier League.

This is business and there's nothing wrong if he finally decides to leave for Bayern Munich. They've both had a good time as he took Bayern Leverkusen from last season to go top of the Bundesliga League Competition.
T's the best decision he'd take for himself. Spending another year with Leverkusen is not something I see him doing, he should be smart enough to make swift moves.

Moving to Liverpool? That shouldn't be his first moves, I think he is making progress, he should follow a club that can back him up, he had a great future ahead of him. I trust that he will utilize it very well.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has been reported back from his recovery process as he was not allowed to feature for England during the last two fixtures against Brazil and Belgium.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 27, 2024, 04:56:19 PM
I think there are still 3 matches where Mancity might fail to get full points:
Tottenham vs Mancity
Mancity vs Aston
Brighton vs Mancity

I wrote Brighton above because from their last 14 matches at home, Brighton has only lost once and it happen back in August 2023.
Even big teams such as Liverpool could only get a draw, Tottenham and Newcastle even didn't get any points from there.

Having games like;

Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City and  Aston Villa against Manchester City is reason enough why nobody should write off Manchester United from qualifying for that top four position.

Roberto De Zebri has done well for Brighton and even them first year in the European Europa League Competition, he brought them that far in the competition and I must give him his regards and also his flowers. They'd be up against Liverpool who will be at home as they failed to progress to the next round of the FA Cup Competition against Manchester United.
I'm sure Brighton would fight them since they won't be playing any further European Europa League games no more.

Manchester City are tops sides. I won't write off Josep Pep Guardiola until its done and over. I have come to see reasons with some of the things said by Joào Cancelo, there's got to be two sides of every story even more.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 27, 2024, 04:45:12 PM
Indeed, we certainly still remember how the match went, which was so fierce and we didn't want to lose. But again, Real Madrid has blood in the Champions League and it will be very difficult for any team to get rid of them. But the placement will be different when Real Madrid will face Manchester City and maybe that could be the end of their journey this season.

We know how Manchester City is the defending champion and the team that can be avoided the most in the early rounds. But Real Madrid has to face it and I think it will be a challenge for Real Madrid to be able to avenge last season's defeat. Victory will definitely belong to Manchester City but the luck factor will be completely in the hands of Real Madrid, I think so far that is the exact picture.

Yeah, Manchester City was so creative last season as they made good use of both wings against Real Madrid. Most used was the right wing as Dani Carvajal couldn't bear it from coming from Jack Grealish and De Bruyne.
As the right wing of Manchester City, they had Kyle Walker at his best and he held down Vinicius Junior in his pocket, having him absent because of that slight Injury would be fuckery. I will not be hoping he returns early enough but we'll see to that. Real Madrid remains my next and best pick for this trophy this season.

As for the game between Paris Saint Germany and Barcelona, it's so sad to see Xavi Hernandez giving them the lead already. Anyways, I don't think he stands a chance against hs former coach who both worked and won the treble for Barcelona against Juventus and Antonio Conte that Champions League finals.

Paris Saint Germans with the help of Kylian Mbappe has got this game secured.

Manchester United is starting to spread its wings again and this time they are interested in bringing in Crystal Palace's talented winger, Michael Olise. As is known, for the winger position, Manchester United often experience deadlock and the available options sometimes make Erik Ten Hag not very confident about his current squad, especially for next season. Michal Olise is a right winger and he seems to be left footed, so this is the perfect fit for that position.

Hearing this news, Crystal Palace immediately raised the price of their players to 60 million euros and as we know, this tradition has been normal since several seasons ago when there were big EPL teams who were interested in bringing in key players from weak teams. I'm curious whether the Red Devils are willing to pay 60 million euros for his services or are looking for other options. Looking at Michael Olise's statistics so far it's not too bad with 6 goals and 3 assists.

I'm really not fazede about this Erik Ten Hag sack and all of the sky sports bullshit promoting and pushing Southgate towards Manchester United, can he focus on uping his game with England? Imagine such a squad filled with talented youngins anf he has no good pattern of play?  Manchester United Jim Radcliffe must be blind if he doesn't see this!

Bringing in Olise would mean either of Antony or Amad Diallo leaving Manchester United, I don't know. With so much talks against Antony, I see he would be the targeted name to be axed

Personally, I like the Olise, he has been more of a direct and productive winger for crystal palace than what Antony had been fir Manchester United this very season who is even given so much freedom to do hus things. It would work but they can't keep using Rashford on the wing he is a complete fat fuckeer.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 27, 2024, 04:31:25 PM
I did not expect this season to be the same as previous season, when Manchester United performed poorly but eventually qualified for the Champions League. Manchester United's performance this season has been completely different; we cannot trust them right now because they can win or lose any of their games; it will be very difficult for Manchester United to win all of their remaining games; Manchester United may only get points against opponents in the relegation zone, but not against tough opponents. We've only seen how Manchester United performed against Liverpool in their last FA Cup game; they only become serious when they face a big opponent.

Manchester United is now in sixth place with a goal difference of zero, Tottenham and Aston Villa are not weak teams at the moment, I believe none of these clubs will lose their position to finish in the top four because they are in good form as well as capable of qualifying. Man United is nine points behind Aston Villa and six points behind Tottenham; However, I believe Aston Villa and Tottenham will continue to win their remaining games as well. They might fire Ten Hags at the end of the season.

They had a poor start this season because of Injury, Erik Ten Hag wasn't having all of his best players from last season. I don't know how one should explain to y'all that he was only working with average players and how do y'all expect good results week in week out with such player's? This is no time to blame the coach, if you thinking it's one easy going job please go apply with your CV lol.

It's same way y'all predicted Manchester United would lose against Liverpool this and that and how did the game finally play? Erik Ten Hag said it that era's definitely comes to an end. He meant that when he said it, meanwhile, if you look at Manchester United against Liverpool this season, they have not lost a game.

You conclude with Manchester United and not with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa? Y'all can be objective for once.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 27, 2024, 07:41:26 AM
Xabi and which team he will go to is just a pure speculation at the moment, I do not believe that they are going to be all that much aware of his decision more than us. Newspapers will just write whatever they want to write and won't care about anything. Bayern is in troubled position right now, sort of because of Xabi as well, so him wanting to go to Bayern would not make sense, but even if that's true, even Xabi doesn't know who he will pick yet as long as it is not official.

We should wait and see, until the very very official deal being public to everyone, I will not believe anyone at all. It should be important to realize that we are going to end up with some stuff that are not easy to handle, so it is not going to be easy.

Newspapers can be great sources of speculations because they're all doing this for clicks. Besides, there's nothing on going about Xabi Alonso. We're all making predictions about his next move and destination.
Personally, I would love to see him end up as a Bayern Munich manager, for the next four years and he will have the chance to work with a good number nine, win the Bundesliga League Competition and also the Champions League Competition to boost his profile before finally leaving for Liverpool so he would be respected.

They're also one more game left until the cup finals. They look likely to win the treble this season if they get to workout and win the European Europa League Competition this season.
Victor Boniface also reported to be back training, we'd see if he would get the selection of joining the weekend game or against West Ham United in the first round of the game.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Lega Serie A 🇮🇹 (Italian League) Prediction Thread 2023/2024⚽ on: March 27, 2024, 07:24:20 AM
I checked my usual source (BBC Sport) to read some transfer speculations today and the interesting point is there was only one related to a Serie A club.  Sad

I'm linking this to the big debt big Serie A clubs have been in. What do you say? They are of course making transfers in summers but generally we don't see them spending a huge amount of money on a player. Inter have a quite strong level of squad though. However other big clubs would really need some good transfers to get more competitive for the league championship.

We have seen really good coaches coming here but not being able to do much because of money problems for transfers.

With Players like Chiesa and Bremen the defender linked with a move out of Juventus,  they would really do with some incomings as well the coaching role. I don't know if they'd still want to go with Max Allegri as head coach. Two to three signatures would be seen as Sofyan Amrabat has also been reported as one of thr names they're interested in signing.

Napoli will not be qualifying for the Champions League Competition so I know, a big name like Victor Oshime would be leaving ASAP. He would leave for Chelsea in my own opinion and I know Chelsea football club and Napoli are good doing business together just like they did with the case of Koulibaily.

Ac Milan also would be eyeing a replacement for Oliver Giroud sikce he'll be leaving as they have no plans to offer him a new contract, they're exploring the market and would come up with a good replacement for him who can use both feets.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 27, 2024, 07:10:00 AM
Based on their position in the premier league table, you will know that Manchester united have a long way to go before people will begin to see good performance from Manchester united, because it look like their manager is trying to improve the team in this season so that they will be able to display excellent next season.  Aston villa and Tottenham are strong teams, people are still looking up in this season but for Manchester united to take over 4th position and 5th position from those two teams, I think it will be difficult because they will try their possible best to maintain all those positions till the end of the tournament. If Manchester united can win all their matches, they will be able to reach 4th position but it will be difficult for Manchester united to defeat all their opponent in their remaining matches.
Assuming Manchester United can win the rest matches, there's no guarantee they will able to reach 4th position because if both Tottenham and Aston Villa are win streak, nothing will change. Tongue

I'm sure Manchester United able to reach at least 5th position, all of them will face Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City, the thing is Manchester United always has bigger chance to pull upsets than Aston Villa or Tottenham.

I know this might be easy writing but, when you compare the games between these sides they're to play until the season comes to an end, you'd see that Manchester United has got a lesser dramatic games and fixtures ahead. Only if they can make good use of it and overtake Tottenham Hotspur.

Most of you'll wrote Manchester United off even before the game kicked off against Liverpool for that Fa Cup Competition. What was the result finally at the end of the game? I believe this would be the reviving force that would definitely back Erik Ten Hag. He has quality names back from Injury with no European games or fixtures to play, if they can take it week in week out, they'd definitely level up to the fourth position.
I have that believe they'd make it happen. Why no complains of Marcus Rashford not pressing, is he not the problem with Manchester United? If that was Cristiano Ronaldo, lots would have been said about the most consistent player over the last fifteen fauckin years.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 27, 2024, 07:01:40 AM
If you think Real Madrid will underestimate any opponent in the remainder of the season, then I guarantee you are wrong. Then from that, this season only leaves 9 matches instead of 10 matches with an 8 point advantage over Barcelona. Of course it's still not safe, but to make some rotations to focus more on the Champions League, I don't think it's a big problem.

Ancelotti knows exactly about your concerns about the potential for Real Madrid to fail to win the title without the threat of Barcelona. Bbut I believe that winning 8 points is a blessing in itself for Real Madrid to remain comfortable in every remaining match this season, even for the El Clasico match against Barcelona.

They're warriors with high winning mentality, they do know what's at stake and these players for Real Madrid would definitely do all in them power to lift up the La Liga Competition.
Looking down on clubs at this point would be useless, this is the finish line, final lap and they'll have to keep up with the consistency. I'm afraid they'd lose some games but that wouldn't halt them from winning and lifting the La Liga trophy at the end of tjis very season.

Barcelona has also stepped up with them game ever since Xavi Hernandez was announced to be leaving the club at the end of the season. I'm really not sure if this would work though, reading and seeing Deco denying talks about this.

I'm only bothered for the defenders, Maybe Aurelin Tchouameni would still be deployed back to the defense as usual. That would be fun for Camavinga  Grin
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 27, 2024, 06:52:51 AM
Kobbie Mainoo is a Manchester United bound player and would end up being a legendary player for Manchester United just like the likes of Wayne Rooney, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Co's.
How would you know that, Kobbie Mainoo is just 18 years old, so how can you predict the long future he has ahead of him. Kobbie Mainoo is a brilliant footballer and Manchester United will definitely want to keep him for as long as possible, but who knows what will happen in the future, he might develop so well and at a time in his career, he could leave the club and go somewhere else.

Would be unwise for Manchester United to keg go of such generational talent, I know many clubs would be around lurking and trying to convince him to join, but this is my own opinion and view of this young lad. At 18 and he has so much awareness, ball composure, strength, vision, good with the ball on both feets? I would do everything possible to hold down this player for Manchester United if I'm to be amongst the management.

Wazza ( Wayne Rooney ) and Roy Keane didn't actually start from the academy. I can only remember Paul Scholes from the 1992 set!

The news Alexander Arnold linked to Real Madrid has been buzzing, he is not a good defender defensive wise but he is a good spreader of the ball with his spot on and accurate long range passes. Having Andy Robertson and Alexander Arnold reminds me of Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso. They be very great with long range passes.

The injuries to De Bruyne, Ederson and Walker will certainly not reduce Manchester City's performance in my opinion, indeed all three are important players in the current squad but we also cannot deny if Manchester City still have Ortega, Kovacic and some defenders who can replace Walker well, at the moment I think the game against Arsenal will be the toughest game besides Tottenham in their remaining games this season,  In addition, I don't see there is another team that might be a strong opponent for Manchester City in the remaining of their matches this season.

I have a feeling all three will play against Arsenal. Man City have a history of players pulling out of internationals, to then miraculously recover for their club shortly after.

Arsenal are doing the same though, Saka pulled out of England camp and Gabriel is supposedly not fit to play for Brazil. Let’s see if they are all really injured at the weekend.

Same thing happened with John Stones tonight. Could it be that, they've already planned on doing that before the game? Because I didn't see anyone hit John Stones or come in collision with the Englishman while attacking or defending during the friendly game they played tonight against Belgium.
Good to see that they could come from behind to squeeze a point out of that game, with Ivan Toney scoring his first goal for the three lions tonight

Belgium sat back to defend, only of they had attacked and contained them well, they shouldn't have shared points between themselves. Beautiful pass from Romelu Lukaku yo link up the second goal for Telemann.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 26, 2024, 10:24:30 PM
Considering Arsenal's current impressive form this season , it's unlikely that any team participating will underestimate their capabilities. The recent performance of Arsenal suggests they are in a particularly strong position. Therefore, when Arsenal faces off against Bayern Munich, it's clear that neither team will have an easy match. As for predicting the favorite team to win in their upcoming encounter, it's difficult for me to definitively declare Bayern Munich or Arsenal as the front-runner.

Many opinions asserting Bayern's superiority over Arsenal seem to be based solely on past encounters between the two teams. However, a deeper analysis of Arsenal's performance throughout this season compared to Bayern Munich's suggests that assuming Bayern will easily defeat Arsenal may be premature. It's essential to wait and witness the outcome of their first leg before jumping to conclusions about Bayern Munich being superior to Arsenal. Only after observing their performance on the field can we make an informed judgment about which team holds the upper hand.

Gunner's no doubts can be very great in the Premier League Competition but they're not the same in the Champions League Competition. They can get to the finals and they'll lose it. It's been like that for them even if you go back to history, I can recall my uncle telling me about a club cup finals they played against Ajax and lost the cup Competitions years back.
They're a club I have supported from last season and I want to see Mikel Arteta winning his first Premier League Competition with the club. Anyways, I'm no gunner's fan.

I'm not even expecting them to get a win against Bayern Munich. They might look good on paper according to the bookmakers, but this is Bayern Munich.
Thomas Tuchel might be having it wrong but since the game against Lazio, they have responded quite well.

Honestly all of these injuries during the national break gives me a lot of headache. If it was a serious cup game, like even if it was qualifying games then I would sort of understand because it means something for the nation, and all the more important ones are at summer so they are fine, even if injured players do recover during the season itself.

However, middle of the season national friendly game is something I would never understand, not only it means nothing but also it gives people a break from the regular season game for no reason at all, makes no sense. Let them have the league games during these times and then end the season a little early. Season is usually over by June anyway, so have friendly games at June as much as you want and the cup was at July I think, so people would have a lot of time.

I feel you. Tonight, we saw John Stones leaving the friendly game they played against Belgium National Football Team. Same goes with Kyle Walker during the first friendly against Brazil National Team.
The absence of these players and also Kevin De Bruyne would definitely affect the Manchester City squad as they host gunner's on Sunday evening at the Etihad stadium. I have a strong feeling that Arsenal would utilize it and go back home with all three points and also to top the Premier League Competition..

International duties are tiring, it always affects a squad without depth and even with depths, important players are difficult to replace.

And as for Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, qualifications for the top four seems open and it wouldn't be wise to rule out Manchester United chances of qualification.
