1701  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 28, 2018, 11:59:03 PM
The danger that they created for themselves is now people can follow the money. 6k is a lot for some people, enough that they're going to have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives.

well no one sent me a btc address with payment to dragonmint.

So I can not  do anything to trace  payments backwards or forwards.

Maybe elokk could help you out and send a btc address they have used for payment?`

I sent him pm.

Hey btw, any word from Canaan if they would support Kano pool with some AvalonMiner 821 units for a give-away competition like with they have done previous generation AvalonMiners?  Smiley
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GIANT B - WWW.BITTAWMART.COM - MINERS HAVE ARRIVED on: January 28, 2018, 10:21:19 PM
Here is an example picture of the Cube miner. You can see the CE marking there, after the model name "BAIKAL Cube V1.4". https://imgur.com/nqVMfZS

thanks HagssFIN I will take another look
I think that is not the correct CE marking.

http://mondos-porco.blogspot.it/2015/12/la-cina-falsifica-il-marchio-ce-europeo_15.html

You are correct, they have printed the 'C' and 'E' too close together.

It looks more like the bull shit 'China Export' marking.

So I stand corrected.

We have no 100% certainty that the Baikal cube actually has a legit CE conformity.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: January 28, 2018, 10:07:02 PM
Is there any way to tell how long a miner has been used? I'm about to buy 2 L3+'s off of a guy locally and he said that he has mined with them for a month but I really wanted to check and see if there is a way for me to tell.

If you ask for the miner serial number, you can check the order date here https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?m=technicalSupport

See "Warranty Check".

If anybody is interested in buying an L3+ Jan batch for 0.3 BTC + shipping send me a PM. I prefer selling to another forum member than going through ebay.
Some tips...

I recommend you do a proper sales thread in the marketplace computer hardware section.

Photos of the hardware with a piece of paper and your name on it.

And be ready to accept payment through a escrow service.
how the escrow service is happening here Huh I am selling antminer A3

After the seller and buyer have a confirmed deal,

1.  Buyer sends the btc payment to escrow agent  (OgNasty or philipma1957 for example).
2. Buyer sends a personal message as instructed by the escrow agent  (OgNasty has his escrow service thread for instructions).
Make sure that you have two recipients for this message, both escrow agent and seller.
3. Escrow confirms that he has successfully received funds and he says that he will release after buyer has confirmed that he has received the goods in a good condition.
4. Seller sends the goods to the buyer.
5. Buyer receives the goods and confirms that they are in promised condition.
6. When escrow agent has received confirmation from the buyer, he will release the funds to the seller.
7. Trade complete.  Smiley
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer A3 only has antpool as alive. Sia and luxor shows as dead on: January 27, 2018, 10:57:59 PM
What did you do to get it to work? Mine are showing as dead too. (Unless its AntPool)

Are you sure you have typed everything correctly and also typed a port in the stratum server address?

here is an example (siamining pool)

1708  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KryptMiner - 20th/s @ 800w (a new magical miner / scam?) on: January 27, 2018, 10:31:01 PM
We need more people willing to take the risk so that others may not have to.

I disagree.

We need more proof and transparency when a new manufacturer enters the market, so it will be less risky from the very beginning.

Even though Bitmain is not the most likable manufacturer at the moment,  they are still a good example entering the market as a new manufacturer  with a solid discussion thread here at the forum with the Antminer S1 back in the 2013  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=330665.0

1710  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: January 26, 2018, 11:20:30 PM
No news currently. The last I heard from Bitfury, chips were sold out until around Halloween.

But Bitfury's not the only game in town. We might see a little magic yet.

I'm just gonna go ahead and enter few wild guesses here about the ASIC chip manufacturer  Cheesy

BW.com? Canaan? Pangolinminer? Halong Mining (if they are real)?  Ebang Communication?

Question already asked, Can i re-use an old Pie first model with the 821 software or a Pie 3 is necessary ?

Yes, there are three versions of the A821 OpenWrt software.

One version for the Raspberry Pi 1.
One version for the Raspberry Pi 2.
And one version for the Raspberry Pi 3.

1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using evea 1300 with new Antminer a3 on: January 26, 2018, 12:01:56 PM
Next time, please buy the Bitmain APW3++ power supply and it will be much easier for you, as you don't seem to know that much about psus.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using evea 1300 with new Antminer a3 on: January 26, 2018, 11:59:11 AM
Thanks you really helped me! But don’t I need 3 cables to each board in the miner and another one for the controller board? Means I need 10 cables. In the picture you showed only 6 cables

Am I wrong here?

If those pci-e power cables are at least 16AWG wire gauge, then you should not have any issues.

The wire gauge information is printed of the invidual wires.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using evea 1300 with new Antminer a3 on: January 26, 2018, 10:58:35 AM
Also remember that you need to connect a green wire (PS_ON) and a black wire (COM) together by using a jumper or a paper clip.

I don't know if there is a jumper like this included with the EVGA power supply. https://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-24-Pin-ATX-Power-Supply-Bridge-Tool-Jumper-/312036767648

If not, you can buy one.

Or you can use this paper clip method.

1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using evea 1300 with new Antminer a3 on: January 26, 2018, 10:48:58 AM
Yeah, the A3 uses around 1200w of power according to its spec sheet. 1300W PSU will work but usually, it's recommended to not run your PSU over 80% of its max wattage. But for a little time, you should be completely fine Smiley.

Thanks. I got the miner but I don’t have 10 connections with 6 pins. I have only 6 coming with the evea. How can I solve it?

I did this picture in the most simple way that came to my mind, hope it helps you to power your A3 unit. https://i.imgur.com/I0wZnGZ.jpg
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: (Review/Guide) BW.com BW-L21, 550 Mh/s, 950W Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner on: January 26, 2018, 10:14:44 AM
I'm not denying the possibility of a such problem.
I do have seen other reports saying the same too.

If you have the miner pointed to a low latency stratum server and you still get a high rejected rate, then there is something wrong.
In this case please contact BW.com and report this issue to them.

You win nothing by yelling at me, and you don't really encourage me to help you.
This will be my last reply to you.

You should point your criticism to BW.com, the manufacturer.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Riserless Mining Motherboards the death of PCIE risers? Mining Rig Tear Down! on: January 26, 2018, 10:05:55 AM
If I remember right, I noticed the reason was  a loose Molex connector wires connection to the riser board, bad soldering work.
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Riserless Mining Motherboards the death of PCIE risers? Mining Rig Tear Down! on: January 26, 2018, 07:59:02 AM
Riserless mobo's?

USB Risers?

Nah, my rigs are still using the ribbon risers. 2013-2014 mining FTW

Damn those ribbon risers were dangerous for me back in the 2014, I still remember one suddenly bursting in to burning and lots of smoke because of that.  Cheesy

Nothing else than the riser was damaged, luckily. Maybe I just ended up with a bad quality batch one, but I would be careful using those.
1719  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Do you shut down your miners in a lightning storm? on: January 25, 2018, 11:36:39 PM
I will be more expensive to shut down your miners during a lightning storm (because of the down time), than to install a proper surge protection for them.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: (Review/Guide) BW.com BW-L21, 550 Mh/s, 950W Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner on: January 25, 2018, 09:03:49 PM
The dashboard does show 586mhs but mine can hardly stay above 500 for reported hashrate. I would say it runs between 430-500 , more on the lower end .

Does BW falsely adervtised 540 for their miner to justify the higher price vs bitmain or is it a software issue that they don't even seem to care enough to adress and fix .

I tried sending them an email but i always get a message saying the email could not be delivered

I'm also wondering the legitimacy of OP's review since all we see on his thread is people reporting lower reported hashrate than miner is "producing" .

Wow, what a nice way to ask help by throwing a accusation here.  Cheesy

I think you are having a high rejected shares rate.
