Do you think a group buy for this is possible/feasible? Seems like a pretty efficient miner at 750watts per 600 Mh/s
It might be possible, since they do accept a btc or ltc payment. I have three A4+ coming to my house already, so I unfortunately have no need for a A6. This A6 is basicly two A4+ units tied together. There are some reputable members here at the forum, like philipma1957, who could be asked if he's interested about hosting a group buy.

Well at least Bitmain still sells for small customers as well.
Inno doesn't anymore.
It's a disappointment.
So if you are a small customers, you must walk to Bitmain or BW.com.
BW.com sells their BW-L21 miner at their own webshop, and also via an official distributor Hyperbit.

Inno seems to be moving towards selling hardware to big scale customers only, as they already previously changed the minimum order quantity to 50 units min.. And now they released this new even more industrial scale miner unit, the A6.

Cool, that's basicly two A4+ LtcMasters in one nice package. I guess the 3200 USD price mentioned at the website is not correct. There are actually three different prices First, 56.476LTC equals about 17112 USD. Second, they mention the USD price, 3200 USD. Third, 0.614985 BTC equals about 10270 USD

Well I thought to tell about that, in case somebody wants to buy one.
T9s are more reliable than S9s, but less power efficient.
This sales price is too high for me personally.
|
|
|
Shipping is not that expensive that it would really be needed to collect outside the escrow deal, unless the seller is poor. But how can a poor seller have their hands on a S9?
|
|
|
The whole payment should be done through a escrow.
So the payment is including the miner and the shipping cost.

@Flying HellfishThe cost of providing a demo unit for a trusted forum member is so so so small, if the member pays for the miner, that I see zero reasons why not to do it?

So is it "fuck the customers, we don't care about what they think about us" ? How do we suppose trust then that the warranty repairs or anything else would be respected? I would really like if Halong would go more along your path Scott, instead of what they are doing at the moment.

Escrow service is a must, when buying from a newly registered forum member.
These guys for example are great guys for the escrow: OgNasty and philipma1957
how does this work? Buyer sends payment to ognasty & ognasty to me? Yes. More info is available at his escrow thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303281I've used his service in multiple occasions, always been a smooth trade.

Have you waited for long enough time?
The cold start process takes time with these new model S9's.

|
|
I agree you on that Phil.
They don't give appreciation and value for the review made by one of us.
It's basicly free advertising in the case we pay for the miner.
The money they would earn by showing up the miner would be a greater amount than the money they think they save by hiding it in the closet.

That was mean't as a joke.
And you also might want to learn what is a heat exchanger.
The system would not be connected to a bath tub directly, but via a heat exchanger.
And I still stand at my point that water cooling is safe when you know what you are doing.

@ethernaly
Have you measured the voltage with a multimeter as instructed?
|

In Russia they are actually taking advantage of the heat produced by miners, and they have built water cooled Bitfury-based miner (Sunrise series). So those miners are not only mining btc, but also working as 'water boilers'. Ja. As I've brought up before, I'd think miners supplying heat for thermal pool spa's would be a great way to go. Beats using only gas or electric as direct heat! It would be a really nice project to grab some old Ant C1's, then upgrade them with some Hotmine (Bitfury 16nm) boards and hook them up to a bath tub via a heat exchanger. Few of those and you could even build a spa resort for people interested in Bitcoin. If anybody is interested, you are free to use this as a business idea.

Where do you guys mining with these sticks? For SHA256 sticks and little miners, there is solo.ckpool.org (solo) and ckpool.org (pooled mining, coinbase payouts directly to miners, very simple). For scrypt mining, I only found TBDice.org solo pool, I pointed one Zeus Blizzard miner there. Is there simple pooled mining website, just like http://ckpool.org/ for SHA256 miners? I don't want to mine with sticks on ordinary pool, because most of the times, they have high minimum payout. There is TBDice.org for a solo pool mining and Litecoinpool.org for a pool mining. These are the two most popular choices I think, and I'm using these at the moment as they're good.

Yeah there is certainly nothing confirmed yet about Bitmain's future hardware.
