2981  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: December 27, 2015, 12:41:24 AM
Only difference from normal martingale is you lose your money faster in this stratergy, the only way you can stay in profit is by not betting at all.

Not really, you can be insanely lucky and hit the jackpot, then you would be always be on profit, unless you are stupid enough to gamble all of your jackpot away. The best situation would be to win a jackpot and just retire from gambling, or do it very rarely.
2982  Economy / Gambling / Do you play in demo mode just to get rid of the urge to play? on: December 27, 2015, 12:01:53 AM
Sometimes I just really want to gamble because I miss the excitement, but I know should not do it, so I just play some games in demo mode with fake credits. After im done, I don't feel like risking real money anymore. This is a good technique to stop gambling in a stupid compulsory way.
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: December 26, 2015, 11:32:14 PM
It is very complicated to earn free Bitcoins fast unless you are skilled and manage to make a lot of profit in one day by selling your services and making trading as well. As trading is risky, it is worth it once you know how to do it right and minimize losses to earn profit. You can always try alt coin trading and if done right (and depending on how price performs on the market for the specific alt coin) you could earn a decent amount of profit.

This might not be fast, but you will get to at least 1 Bitcoin if you do as mentioned above. Also, try looking into signature campaigns as they are highly rewarding depending on your constructive posts and high rank.  Smiley

A year ago I would have said that altcoins were a booming market and there was a lot of money to be made, but right now... what's hot? I don't see much stuff happening, everything is being focused on BTC. I wonder if when sidechains kick in, alts will be totally irrelevant or not.
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: December 26, 2015, 11:30:44 PM
I remember when this site was new to me back in the day, I was discovering Bitcoin and I stumbled upon this thread, I was so mad jealous to not be part of the early adopters, thinking "damn, I will never even be able to make 1 BTC". After 1+ year of hard work dedication, I have managed to make a couple and im less bitter about it. I will continue to keep working on my crypto portfolio so hopefully some day someone gets inspired by this post to get your ass working into getting BTC instead of complaining.
2985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch for this imitated blockchain site bilockchain.info/ on: December 26, 2015, 11:27:29 PM
Fucking Phising .I'm reporting this website to blockchain moderators .Thanks a lot for sharing the info!
Reporting to blockchain won't do anything, you need to report this to google so they remove it from their search results and ads.

It's still available in a ton of other search engines. Sure, most people use Google, but believe it or not, some people use bing, and some other people that want increased privacy use stuff like start page, duckduckgo, etc.. so it would still show up there. The site has to go down.
2986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: December 25, 2015, 12:26:02 AM
Ask Hufflepuff xD

Besides cheating, as he did, there's no way to be totally "safe". If there was, gambling wouldn't exist. Gambling is the entertainment of risk and reward. It's an ENTERTAINMENT.

One safe way which still has risks is having 1,000 bitcoin, and gamble using the martingale strategy and a 1 satoshi base bet Cheesy

Yeah, if there was a certain way to win, whats ts the point? The actual word of gambling would stop making sens as it implies risk, without risk, there's no gambling to be done, so it's the same as playing with demo credits.
2987  Economy / Gambling / Did anyone made bank with the Overeem vs Dos Santos fight? on: December 25, 2015, 12:09:26 AM
Some dudes made a lot of cash with this one. A lot of people were betting against Overeem because of the past involvements of failed drug testings, dude showed up with a less defined physique and less threatening cut muscles.. but he knocked the f*** out of Overeem, which means the dudes that invested big in Overeem made a big shoot.
2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: XTnodes.com: Added support for Bitcoin Unlimited. See the number of BU nodes & b on: December 25, 2015, 12:07:24 AM
Do people still support this thing? I thought it was clear now that the changes proposed in Bitcoin XT would centralize nodes to a ridiculous unnecessary level. It has been tested that 2 MB is the best we can do for now, 8 is just nonsense, not to mention Hearn's involvement in R3 and all the anti-Tor stuff.
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Skepticism on: December 25, 2015, 12:05:55 AM
I like that things get critisized and the weak points get pointed at because that's how we can improve, but has anyone noticed that everyone criticizing the LN never propose a better idea? (and centralizing nodes with huge blocks isn't a better idea).
2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just hit the 15,000,000 mark! on: December 24, 2015, 11:59:10 PM

Fantastic screencap, it's such a rare number to see a round number like that, I wonder if Satoshi predicted that we would hit the 15 million landmark right during xmas.
2991  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: December 24, 2015, 11:53:31 PM
Ask this guy who lost 25,000. He is still active on the forums.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16457.0
That's stabbing his heart so hard I think.. So sad this happen to that guy

Wow oh god, that thread, I remember reading about it back in the day (not in 2011 because I wasn't there, but when I started a couple of years ago) and I was devastated. I didn't even have 1 BTC back then so 25K was just insane, considering it was about 700 dollars per coin when I did read that.
2992  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merry Christmas Everyone on: December 24, 2015, 11:51:58 PM
Today is a great day for Bitcoin too, the Bitcoin number 15 million was mined, so you can celebrate that too as well if you don't normally celebrate Christmas.
2993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Capacity increases for the Bitcoin system on: December 23, 2015, 12:45:30 AM
still not sure about segregated witness, if it not carry any risk, why satoshi has not think about it since the beginning, when he limited the block to 1?

i welcome the synching speed up, this is needed for those that have not strong machine, not my case, as i can sync and open the client in 20 seconds..

Yes, it will be great to be able to open the client faster, in my case, it is very much needed, because my hardware is 5 years old now. About the segregated witness feature, im not sure but if it only has an impact on light clients, it's still important because consider that most people aren't going to be running full nodes anyway, so improvements on this department are welcome.

The code speedup is a useful improvement.  However, it does not increase the capacity of the bitcoin system since the capacity is limited artificially by the 1 MB blocksize limit.

Segregated witness does nothing for light clients.  It may increase the network capacity in a complex way, because it changes what counts in the 1 MB block limit.  It does not reduce bandwidth usage at all, so it amounts to a complex way of partially bypassing the 1 MB block limit.  The same effect could be achieved with much less effort by a simple increase in the block size, say to 2 MB.  Segregated witness also requires all of the clients to be updated in a non-trivial way, including SPV clients which don't care about the block limit.

What you are seeing is a political game being played by bitcoin core to make it look like they are doing something.  For someone who knows how bitcoin works they are not doing good engineering.  In particular, they are not following the KISS principle. (Keep It Simple Stupid.  Don't do something complex when a simple change can accomplish the same thing.)

We can't raise the blocksize too much because it would compromise decentralization of nodes. For example, for me downloading the blockchain is a pain in the ass. If the blockchain gets bigger im just not going to deal with running a node. Slowly less and less people with care and we distribution of nodes will be centralized, which banks and governments would love.
But yes 2 MB seems like a good compromise, even tho it solves shit nothing in the long run tho.. in the long run we aren't scaling up without something like the LN anyway.
2994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much you lost money in gambling? on: December 23, 2015, 12:37:40 AM
One of the advantages of not having a lot of money is just can't lose a lot of money, so basically that, I have never lot a lot of money because I didn't have enough to bet. Now that im slowly and through hard work making some BTC I value it too much to blow it on the casino.
2995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many People Here Sell on eBay on: December 23, 2015, 12:03:59 AM
I have been using ebay for years to buy stuff, but I have never sold a single thing, I actually have no idea how the system works to sell stuff, like, you have to bring the stuff to the postal office, or you hire someone like UPS to come to your door and take the package.. I have no idea.

Anyway, I hope OpenBazar is a success, and maybe I start selling something.
2996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bruce Sringsteen's promotor ventures into Bitcoin on: December 22, 2015, 11:18:43 PM
It's always good to see people related to big mainstream names getting into Bitcoin even if they have no idea about it, just like Mike Tyson with his ATM machines, I doubt he really gets it, but his name brings a ton of media attention which is always great.
2997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Infographic] 2016 seems to be promising for bitcoin on: December 22, 2015, 11:09:22 PM
We are making solid progress now with the consensus of the capacity increase signed by a lot of people in both sides so I think we are headed towards a very bullish 2016. The funds will come from one place or another, the excuses to not get involved in Bitcoin are getting harder to find for those that already aren't invested.

2999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: December 22, 2015, 10:59:48 PM
0.0135 USD/BTC (2010-07-12).

That's freaking crazy, I wish I was around there back in the time. I had no idea that Bitcoin existed back then, it took me a couple of years later for destiny to present Bitcoin to me, oh well, im still earlier than like 90% of people out there.
3000  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcasino.io on: December 21, 2015, 07:31:48 PM
What do people think of bitcasino.io? Because I think they are absolutely shockingly terrible. They tried to say I hadn't placed the right bet when I clearly had on the multibet double moneyback special and it took me over a week to get my bonus from them. Totally crap service.
Plus they don't have many live game options to choose from. Anyone else had any problems with them?

I have never in my life heard this site before. Unless someone can give you some decent feedback I would stick to stablished sites that are known to pay back and to have good customer service. Stunna is a great guy with Primedice and has demonstrated it for years.
The guys in fastdice are running a successful, good rated and quickly-paid sig campaign which is always a great sign of high trust.
