and they told me the car is worth 3900 ( the amount they said not me ) but i cant get a $1500 loan on it, i am at my wits end the place i am in is bleeding me dry with the bills and the new place i would be paying one bill and everything is included. and then i could raise my son and give him a better life one where he dont have to see his dad struggle just to keep the lights and make sure the rent is not late or incure a $50 per week late fee for a place that is at best considered Sub-standard conditions
Can you not get any loan on it? Seems if you could get even half of the $1500 you initially asked for you'd be really close and could probably seal a 2 month deal or something here for the rest. I'm not looking to loan, I just would like to see you solve your problem and I really don't want to see you owing 100BTC for a long time in the future.

What's the rent at the new place? How will you pay it? Will you really have less than $100 per month to put toward paying this back?
You should be really careful about a bitcoin denominated loan if you don't have either bitcoin denominated pay or a large amount of cash coming soon. You could get stuck returning a lot more value above principle and interest in current USD terms, or defaulting, depending on your style.
edit: A few more questions came to mind that might help. Where do you live? Can you live without the car?

We pushed over 9 2 weeks ago in an unhealthy situation...
Exactly. If the investment and speculative capital continues to steadily flow into Bitcoin, that wealth won't be easily spooked with the lack of technical bid vacuum areas. Most are only looking at the purely speculative aspect of the Bitcoin markets without taking into account real world business activity. As a market grows toward the 9-10 digit size, it starts attracting 'legitimate' businesses that see a potential client/consumer market that can be tapped. So at some level not too far above the USD$100mm market size, real businesses should start waking up to Bitcoin's presence and seek ways to tap into it. With that happening, the chances of Bitcoin's exchange rate collapsing becomes even more remote. 9-10 digit size? Like $857,499,185 and $1,320,419,443? :-)

Is the mixer out of bitcoins? I received a large txn anonymously. One third of the BTC came through immediately, and no more has been transferred in the last two hours. I'll just wait it out until tomorrow and see... It doesn't seem to offer the bonus anymore or I'd shoot some in.

Heh, I think he's insulting the effectiveness of the ads.

I'm wondering whether we're going to see the inverse of what used to happen in the past, people buying after a major hack, instead of selling. After all, people who lost bitcoin due to hacks will probably want to have them back..
Yep... they totally sent money to the exchanges that quick . The charts have been very bullish lately. I doubt this move is related to what happened at BTC-E. If the idea is right the effect can be immediate since some people already have money in exchanges. Selling induced by hack-panic would be pretty quick too. I think it's safe to say at this point the people who hold coins are mostly people who have decided to hold them through attacks since attacks are always happening.

And we're... BACK
**SEALS RELOADED** starts in about 30 min. 1BTC in prizes, totally free.

I'm going to take the server down for some maintenance around 3am ET. I'll wait for the half hour game to complete and give plenty of warning to cash games.
My best guess is 20 minutes downtime. Come right back, there will be a 1BTC freeroll at 4am ET.

FWIW, I do believe the hacker is using the name 'MrWubbles'.
I do believe MrWubbles is falsely taking credit. SupaDupaJenkins may be the culprit, however. It's possible it's false, but it seems convincing to me. Maybe I'm too quick to trust people when they say I can't trust them. I'm monitoring the btc-e chat, and they seem to believe Mr. Wubbles is trolling. He had obviously lied before about deleting the database. If Mr. Wubbles had the ability to do that, there would be a much easier way of "hurting the exchange" without hurting its users: withdraw the hot wallet directly. I'm pretty sure that would 'hurt the users' too. Though it wouldn't lure others in.

From the BTC-E chat box: MrWubbles: now logging in as support to troll more MrWubbles: dev account has been deleted MrWubbles: dev account has been deleted MrWubbles: support is being deleted now MrWubbles: dumping everyone's wallets MrWubbles: bitinstant reserves have been leaked for days MrWubbles: all your base MrWubbles: I'm Mr Wubbles of wub fame MrWubbles: Expect Mass Database Leak Soon MrWubbles: wub database destroyed Is MrWubbles someone that people know?

Well that's not good really. It means withdrawals are going through. Do you have a verified acct or anything TTBit? or will the haxor be able to get tons out via dummies?

Moving thread to speculation is a mistake imo. This is a big deal. Maybe rename to "possible BTC-E hack" or something.

I think $5 wrench still defeats one time pad.

Seems like virtually zero automatic arb going on.
|
|
|
Uhh, wouldn't a hack explain this best? Someone gets unlimited fiat on the exchange somehow and buys up all coins at any price to get them off?
|
|
|
Looks like record volume and record price. $40? maybe it is broken.
|
|

this is just the start.
Exactly. I've been predicting a full blown frenzy into Bitcoin due an intensifying collapse in confidence of the world financial system for a while now - it looks like it has begun. Just wait until September when Europe is back from vacation and the shit really starts to hit the fan. September is THE month for banking crises, and I have a feeling that this September will make 2008 look like a blip. Summer 2011 will look like a blimp to, know what I mean? know what I mean?

I'm surprised they let it be that obvious. Both for their sake (keeping people from knowing the full size) and for customers.
I tried to do something similar for SealsWithClubs just out of curiosity, but got nowhere. I've deposited and withdrawn there several times, but all my deposit and withdraw transactions are dead ends. I don't know how you did it, but nice job! Ha, I don't try very hard, but I did use blockchain.info mixer a few times.

I've gotten in the habit of calling them money. The people who matter know what that means.
