I agree with the facts of your video in that LN is going to be for the banks and a disaster for BTC. However it is not all just the block size that is what really happened even though it is what everyone has been in an uproar about but was merely the icing on the cake. The real subversion happened in March of 2015 wherein they added RBF or replace by fee which broke zero-conf and first seen.

https://theflippening.github.io/open-letter-to-bitcoin-miners-from-another-miner/
"Due to the constant high fees and network congestion, they introduced an anti-feature called Replace By Fee (RBF) https://medium.com/@octskyward/replace-by-fee-43edd9a1dd6d (Mar 28, 2015). The aim of this was to allow users to pay a higher fee for transactions that were stuck and unconfirmed. This broke a critical feature called Zero-Conf which meant merchants could reliably accept a low value transaction with no confirmations as long as it was the first transaction seen on the network. Merchants could monitor key nodes around the network and reliably detect double spends with very good accuracy which allowed them to accept transactions with high confidence within 10 seconds and not have to wait minutes or hours for confirmations. Zero-Conf worked great for Brick and Mortar stores like buying your morning coffee. With the RBF feature, now users could pay for their goods, leave the store, then send the same transaction again but this time with a higher fee and send the amount back to their own wallet and rob the merchant in broad daylight. This feature robs Bitcoin of being a useful Point of Sale transaction mechanism."

So, to counter the double spend problem, which they created with their greed and desire for higher fees and corporate centralization, they added segwit which would later lead the way and allow the Lightning Network.

This entire uproar and fiasco with segwit vs segwit 2x forks etc was supposedly because of a slowing BTC and increasingly high fees and it was, however they created the problem to begin with in order to bring in their solution.

This is critically called the Hegelian Dialectic or Problem, Reaction, Solution. Create the problem (slow and high fees), get a reaction (please help us btc users) then offer up the solution, that being the one that they desired in the first place. Segwit vs 2x was merely a circus show to distract from what was being created in the first place. Blockstream and the other corp types like Mastercard and related Bilderburg connections are behind all of this since 2015 and were behind both Segwit and 2x.

They offered up both solutions to their problem and then let the people choose which cup of poison they wanted. It has all been a masterful deception wherein they will be the ultimate winners unless we the people see through this deception and choose wisely.

why are you posting Blockstream/Lightning FUD in the Bcash (LOL) thread?  Bcash (LOL) doesn't even have Lightning because it still hasn't fixed transaction malleability.

Is your motivation just sour grapes?

Prob because for weeks i have been asking segwetters about a thread dedicated to segwit/lightning on bitcointalk.
I cant find any big active thread , with a regular large community or core devs teaching anyone here,
The segwetters should be trying to help people adopt this wonderful stuff they claim will work and people will use.
The way segwetters speak , you would expect a thriving community, lots of users, lots of views and replies... where is it m8?

Instead segwetters just spend their time coming here, talk trash and try and tell bitcoin cashers about segwet and lightning developments.   Angry  Angry
(kinda like what you just did)  Cry  Cry

Your baffling inability to use the forum's Search function isn't relevant to Bcash (LOL), except for the part I pointed out regarding Bcash (LOL)'s embarrassingly persistent lack of support for segwit and Lightning.

There are tons of segwit and Lightning threads on Reddit, EG https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7rceo8/one_lightning_network_tx_is_18000_times_cheaper/.

Segwit is a fairly abstruse low-level feature; ideally it should be transparent to blissfully ignorant end-users.  Segwit is only high-profile because bad actors like Coinbase and Gemini are dragging their feet and making themselves appear incompetent by procrastinating instead of adopting the beneficial new tech in a timely manner, to the detriment of their paying customers and the network as a whole.

For over a year, Bitcoin Core has been very actively trying to help people adopt the wonderful segwit and Lightning technology which vastly lowers fees and dramatically speeds up transactions.

Where have you been?  How could you have possibly missed it?  I can only presume the source of your sour grapes grumbling is displaced anger at yourself for missing the boat on those obvious, well-publicized, high-profile efforts.

The segwitter community you seek is called "Bitcoin Core."  You have found it already.  You're already here, soaking in it and yet complaining all the while. Cheesy

It's very odd you choose to pipe up about segwit and Ligntning in the one place we reserve (like a short bus) for our 'special' Bcash (LOL) retrogrades. Wink

I said Bitcointalk thread...there is nothing in the search box here for segwit...
I did not ask for reddit threads.
So you say for over a year core has been trying to help ....again where is it on bitcointalk?  links please.
and who is this "we" you refer too? where are these "we", so i can have a lil chat with them in an unmoderated thread on bitcointalk.

Also big thing for me....Bitcoin is NOT bitcoin core!, the segwet community is bitcoin core and the segwit community doesnt exist.

Most bullish news of the past 3 years - GREG MAXWELL QUIT!

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7rfog0/blockstream_is_falling_apart_greg_maxwell_resigns/

Ding dong, the witch is dead!

He left his position as CTO to work on Bitcoin full time

Being the CTO takes up a lot of time valuable time that can now be spent on the Bitcoin protocol

So yes this is great news

Hahaha, it will never stop surprising me how obtuse stupidity is.

I guess when Lee left the ship and sold all his LTCs it was also great news, because he did it for the good of the community ...

Since icebreaker did not/cannot answer this...i will put this forward again(and again) to all the old btc segwetters...

For weeks i have been asking segwetters about a thread dedicated to segwit/lightning on bitcointalk.
I cant find any big active segwit thread , with a regular large community or core devs teaching anyone here,

You cant find one because...NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE BLOCK/CORE SCAM!
old btc is an old fork ,infected with segwit, it should not be called btc or bitcoin.

BUY BCH it is the only version of Bitcoin that is segwit free....

BCH IS BITCOIN...the only BITCOIN.

BCASH IS NOTHING MORE THEN AN ALTCOIN.

Don't listen to red tagged users be warned !

Bunching data with one signature can limit spam on the blockchain. In other words, rather than having many small blocks of data sent to the network, one single chunk is sent, which can be processed more quickly.

Its goal was to solve some of the problems that were plaguing the original bitcoin, including high transaction fees and slow processing times. But to manage that, it had to compromise slightly on a couple of features that original bitcoin fans held very dear — decentralisation and security.  Grin Grin

As for me BCH is one of the most unpredictable coins. But I'm willing to take risks and keep this coin in my portfolio. I guess the developers will make several attempts to prove to the community that their coin is better than BTC in this year. And in these moments the price of BCH will grow drammaticaly for sure.

Are there any plans for this in ecommerce? It would be cool to see cash picking up some of these failed bitcoin accounts.

Many. Pls do some analysis out e.g. in reddit or bitcoin.com or https://mobile.twitter.com/Bitcoin
