Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Increasing Very Fast!

I have not seen it reaching 5000$ yet, although my source for price is https://price.bitcoin.com/, it touched 5900 or so. But it seems very likely that it will surpass such a price before December. Things are so crazy that I wont be much amazed if it crossed the 6000$ too.

I have seen some freezes in currencies with yobit some times, but most time it does work good for me (although it is true that I tend to use only BTC, LTC and DOGE).
However, that is something that I have seen happening a lot with other exchanges too. It is not as if Yobit was worse than most in my experience.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get bitcoin every days?
|
on: September 02, 2017, 02:21:06 PM
|
It will some somewhat obvious, but work your way up until you get there. First, fauceting into getting 0.40 a day. Then, when some is saved, fauceting + trading to get 1$ a day. Then signature campaigns + fauceting + trading to get 4$ a day... Then translating + trading + signature + some lending (poloniex, yobit) to get 8$ a day...
And so on until 40$ daily. With BTC is possible to start from scratch and go up... but will require some time.

popularity can trump features and innovation. Bitcoin is much popular. Besides, it is working its way to being faster with the lightning network and all.
Other coins are good, but I do not think they can end Bitcoin or surpass it.

I do not think it will go lower than 2000 or so. The big raise attracts more and more people in, and keeps rising. Only a major flaw, a security hole, or the fall of a big bitcoin company could bring it down hard now in my opinion. People that buys high do not want to sell lower, and there are lots of people who have bought in the 3000+ range.
But who does really know?

Economy / Speculation / Re: Marketcap & BTC Dominance
|
on: September 01, 2017, 02:57:17 PM
|
Yes, marketcap is somewhat deceitful in multiplying supply x price, just because if someone were going to sell, say only 10% of bitcoin in circulation all at once, its price (and thus marketcap) will go much lower than that 10%.
However, I think it shows the strength of bitcoin somewhat. In fact, I have never seen BTC in a second position despite theoretically someone could create a coin with trillions of supply and buy it for some dollars to make it go down.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin?
|
on: August 31, 2017, 09:40:58 AM
|
It is not reliable to invest all your funds in something that is so risky and volatile. Even if it only goes up, the mentality of "I will risk all" will likely prevail and you will not profit (i.e. use the money you earn).
Being a little more balanced is better.

It is harder nowadays, but I think it is yet possible to do faucets all the while you surf the internet. Get some thousand sathoshis. Buy good altcoins in dips, and sell for BTC again. Slow but you can get some BTC for free.
Then of course you can invest fiat and sell higher, buy a little lower and so on.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ?
|
on: August 30, 2017, 04:49:34 PM
|
It is always risky. But investments always are. However, the sentiment with Bitcoin is clearly that it will go up with everybody, and that is somewhat a guarantee that it will keep on going up... at least until a certain point.
I remember the real state crisis in 2008... everybody was convinced then and the years before that, that property would alwasy go up. And it did go up for a good time and many got rich with it.... but finally crashed.
So yes, it is very likely for it to go up, but at some point it is likely to crash too.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin value crash if North Korea goes to war with Japan
|
on: August 30, 2017, 01:04:10 PM
|
I really hope that a war does not break, but think that when a war happens, the things that tend to go up in price are the real goods: food, clothing, shelter... we go back to reality when war breaks, are more aware that "money" is not worth much really, but only represents value of physical goods, so they go up in price.

Hardware wallets seem like the most convenient and safe option, but you can yet use paper wallets. Perhaps several of them in small chunks that you can use separately when you have to withdraw...

It is too mucho of a profit to even consider it. More if we think that BTC is going up everyday. When one can multipliy x1.20 in so short a time, it tends not to need others so much...

Hello, first had to type the address. Then, after three attempts, I cannot get it to work and receive one popup after another. I read it is only 10 sat reward... so I cannot lose more time.
Is a little confusing with so many popups and not a clear place to insert the address and claim.

Economy / Speculation / Re: What will bitcoin do in market crash 3.0?
|
on: August 29, 2017, 09:55:00 AM

It is hard to tell. Many people may remember the friend who told them about Bitcoin and seek refuge in it. The ones that are already into BTC will hold it or buy more most likely. But many can also sell to get cash in the crisis...
Depends on too many factors.
