81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin as early as this October? on: September 25, 2017, 07:11:45 AM
Seems to good to be true for me. I myself went into bitcoin because I saw it accepted as a payment means for some service I used. If Amazon accepted it, there would be millions of new Bitcoin users and that would make the price go to the moon.

As for conversion and the difficulties for amazon and 3rd parties, they could just convert the BTC asap after receiving them... I see not much problem with that.
82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for newbie on: September 25, 2017, 07:03:02 AM
My best advice would be to just start with as low as you can and practice. There are exchanges that allow for trading as low as 5000 satoshi.

Being "in" trading makes you get a lot of practical experience, as you'll soon identify when a coin is low and when its high, allowing you to have a sense on when it is profitable to buy or sell.

Other advice: Patience. Many, Many times one thinks a coin will never go back again, and it ends up happening.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin has enemy (except altcoin) what is it? on: September 25, 2017, 06:49:55 AM
Government/bankers can be a hard enemy for it going mainstream, as BTC will steal much power from them in the form of control and taxes.

But I think crime and illicit activities also is. It is true that you can do bad things with fiat too... but if Bitcoin is a first choice for criminals that will make the public have it in a very negative light.

84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of 1 Satoshi rise to $1? on: September 24, 2017, 10:12:33 PM
Well it can end up happening far in the future. We must consider that many bitcoins are lost too (unrecoverable wallets and such), and more will be lost as years pass by. It could well be that we end up having only 14 million bitcoin total or less at some point. If there is a worldwide mass adoption... It is much to think a big part of the world's economy would be worth 1,400,000,000,000,000 dollars.... right now U.S. Debt is "only" 1/7 of that http://www.usdebtclock.org/#?
85  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the week we see the $4500? on: September 24, 2017, 09:50:23 PM
I don't know if it will go up again. Despite it went down because of the bullshit, it was likely overpriced too and might remain at this price or even a little lower. Anyway... 3000$+ dollars is a great price! 5 months ago we were in the thousands.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After China & Russia, now India on: September 23, 2017, 08:41:56 PM
any other sane person in the whole world would have "Concerns" about bitcoin. that is nothing new. every government in the world shares these "Concerns" it is not a thing to really discuss. if a country didn't show any "Concerns" about bitcoin then you have to start worrying about your government's competence.

and India has adopted bitcoin and that is the only thing that matters. just like China, Japan, Russia, Australia, US, Switzerland,...

Agreed. If we are going to see Bitcoin where we want it, government will have lots of "concerns". They will not keep quiet while they see it go really mainstream. Some things will happen along the way, and bans (from my point of view) are not at all unlikely.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nice ride but i'm dumping on: September 23, 2017, 08:38:25 PM
I do not think price goes below 2000$, but even if so, I would hold.

I entered BTC late (early 2015 I think), and all that I have is earned at a price much much lower than even 1200 (in fact, when it reached that high I thought I was very blessed), so going down till a point above that does not affect me much.

And for China, forks and all... we have had similar things (Fall of cryptsy, the gavin andersen and mike hearn vs. core discussion, and others) and Bitcoin went on and got stronger.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China playing a game :D on: September 23, 2017, 09:49:35 AM
There is something that boggles me a bit...

None has chinese crypto friends who can inform about the truth? There are no chinese users of this forum who can tell?

Lack of confirmation of whether this is true or not is very very strange.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: September 23, 2017, 09:43:44 AM
And what a about the atomic swap done recently according to Charlie Lee on twitter? should not that had pumped LTC?

I was hopeful to see a big raise when I woke up and it did not happen  Huh
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Charlie Lee: Chinese bitcoin FUD is whale manipulation on: September 22, 2017, 06:19:06 PM
It is good to confirm it. Whales will always be whales... that is pretty much unavoidable. Better start buying if we can to reap some benefit.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin without China on: September 22, 2017, 09:41:41 AM
I voted yes, because in the short run I think Bitcoin will need positive news from China to do so.

But I am confident that in the long run Bitcoin will be more main stream and reach higher heights, even without China.
92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Secrets? on: September 22, 2017, 09:39:44 AM
One thing that I have learnt (and still is very hard to apply for me) is to have patience.

Lots of times I have sold coins that I thought would never go up... and they went, but in month or weeks.

Lots of times I have been bored by markets no moving to "profit everyday" and had jump into things and end up losing.

I think those who have patience and can keep it have a lot of advantage in trading.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest In Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2017, 09:35:06 AM
Well the answer is complex depending or your personal situation, money you have available for investing and all. However, Bitcoin has shown to be a quite profitable investment, and prospects are that it will continue to be.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to btc after the last coin has been mine on: September 22, 2017, 09:32:02 AM
Hopefully, it will be popular and expensive enough, and it will just circulate up and down, people buying and selling with Bitcoin and all.

However, there can also be improvements to the protocol from them on...
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: September 19, 2017, 10:14:08 AM
A major hack or fail in the code is the only thing I can think about right now. That would really have it down. But a thing like that would be like a major hack on the internet, highly unlikely.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New here. Could use help! on: September 19, 2017, 09:02:10 AM
LocalBitcoins is a classic and worked for me the only time I used it. There are websites that give you a list of exchanges with the rates and you can browse that too.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs scam? on: September 19, 2017, 07:47:52 AM
I have came to think most of them are scams, and the new way to get money from users. Of course there will be exceptions.

But not long ago, whenever someone created a coin with some premine, even if it was just 10% premine... people will cry SCAM!

Now there are ICOS everywhere, when you pay in advance for tokens (that are nothing but premined coins) ... and for the most part, none says nothing. Just because they show a roadmap or innovative idea to get the dollars in.

Seems rather funny to me.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: LOWEST PRICE BITCOIN WILL GET TO on: September 19, 2017, 07:27:39 AM
2000$, it did not happen. Although it can happen in the future.

In fact... it was just around 1000$ some months ago and the rise from that was too fast. I won't be suprised if it came back to that price at some point.
99  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Coinbase negotiate? on: September 19, 2017, 07:03:51 AM
Yeah GDAX works pretty well and has a lot of trading volume. It was formerly known as "Coinbase Exchange" so it is likely a product from coinbase people I guess.

Have been using it and did not know it does not have fees... lol. One learns by reading posts...
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do with 10 eth on: September 18, 2017, 07:54:31 PM
I will put it on lending to earn some interest while I wait a big raise...then will sell and rebuy it lower, and repeat  Grin

Hopefully that would multiply it at least by 20-30% more.
