Team viewer is a program that allows control of a computer remotely. It is used a lot in technical support. I guess he had already copied his address, or used Teamviewer to send a scrypt that made the transaction. Thanks for sharing this, that's brave of you.

1Q5AV8vb8cnK8zNfy6WbJez8PfLmZK5QgD Well that is one of my addresses at least (lol). I think it is a good idea, just in case. And seems like more than 153 pages of users posting addresses have about the same opinion

Crushing majority of people saying "longer than this" lol, and very likely some of the ones that voted other options are joking. We cannot dream of it hitting 10,000 if it cannot touch the 600$. Hoping for double price is more than enough, I think

It was funny to read this, as I did not thought it was possible to generate private keys out of the blue, even less to match one that has money in it. It is reassuring also to read that this is not easy at all (thanks for the reddit link)

Nice return, but what do you offer as a collateral? There is a sticky in this forum that puts that rule very clearly: No collateral no loan. Have you some altcoins or something to offer as collaterar?

I liked this faucet, but then I lost my registration somehow and missed about it. I remember load times were somewhat slow, but I will consider it to give it another try. The game concept and the levelling up make it rather unique IMO.

If it is a coin that has low volume, you'll likely want to sell it. Although some crapcoins get some boost at times, it is better to foculs on BTC, LTC, DOGE, ETH and the like, and perhaps on some other that, for whatever reason (you like it, you feel it has potential) you'd want to hold.

You can use localbitcoins as some say, also coinbase (have to give personal data) or Xapo or some BTC/USD exchange. I guess you can also try to exchange them in forum, but do not know if that would be too risky.

I agree that the bottom will be around 350 dollars. It has even stayed above 360 and does not seem likely to go lower than 350 unless there is some new FUD or negative news (which can be, but is a little unpredictable).

I agree with poster above. I do not really know if it is best, as I had not used other wallets, but Multibit HD works great for me, syncs fast, and makes backups all by itself. I think it is worth trying.

I think one of the best advice is the one given first: wait till price is stable and then somewhat guess if it is time to buy or sell analysing in which price we are at. If it is relatively low, it is likely to go up from stability mark. But you cannot be sure 100%

Sad to hear you lost money on that one. I guess that with the current prices (that are somewhat low) it is harder yet. Have you tried POS coins? You can invest a little and not risk much. I love NETcoin for example, that provides some interest in the form of newly staked coins every few (six) hours.

As others say, it is quite risky to get a profit from investing. There are several options: cloud mining (which can go wrong), buying promising altcoins (which you never know if they will go up in price), buying shares (there are some exchanges like cryptopia or bleutrade that offer them), or buying POS coins (which offer a % of interest for holding them, but those too can go down).

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin?

I have found a recent way to earn some BTC that is by sharing links using credhot. If you use to share links with your friends and such, you can get some bits by sharing links using that. Is shorta faucet like, but can be bigger if you have many people clicking your links.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins?
|
on: February 01, 2016, 01:14:10 AM

I have about 1.7 Bitcoin only. 0.5 of it I store online (coinbase) because it is easier to use them that way. 1 BTC I store on my local computer using multibit HD wallet, and the rest of it is on a POS altcoin (NETcoin) also on my local wallet, to earn some interest on my coins daily.
That's the way I store them.
