401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver: Bitcoin Scaling Solution Segwit a “Bait and Switch” on: November 07, 2016, 05:35:40 PM
Some more drama it seems. I agree that if most people have core it is for something. However one should consider alternatives and not discard anything
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: rapidly increasing price on: November 07, 2016, 10:34:15 AM
Usually it retains a bit of the price after the dumps so it reaches higher heights every time there is a big pump. Perhaps by the end of next year we would have seen the much desired 1000 $ happen...
403  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Vote the FaucetBox Alternatives on: November 07, 2016, 10:30:04 AM
Too bad faucetbox is closing. I also voted Xapo as an alternative for some of the same reasons: the money go directly into your wallet.

It will be great if the closing of faucetbox produces in turn more xapo faucets. That would be beneficial for xapo users.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 07, 2016, 10:24:56 AM
Bitcoin can indeed help some. Even microearnings like faucets and such can provide some in poor countries as life costs are cheaper there. But do not think it helps a big lot though.

405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you put all your money into bitcoin? on: November 07, 2016, 12:02:08 AM
I have only invested about 200$, but have around 2 btc that I have earned bit by bit by trading, fauceting, working etc. For me it is a means to earn money more than an investment.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: November 05, 2016, 07:08:36 PM
Scams are everywhere, that is something that comes with high interest rate possibilities. Highly secure investments are expensive, and that reflects in them offering lower rates.
407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic sellers got flushed fast on: November 05, 2016, 05:08:24 PM

Probably yes. There are few expert traders and many newbies in the Bitcoin world yet, that is (I think) why we see such pumps and dumps.

If there were more people knowing the true value of bitcoin that would not happen.
408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading method is better? on: November 05, 2016, 05:00:43 PM
Altcoins are more likely to deliver profit, and tend to be more predictable in that they usually go up fast at launch and then down shortly after.

Also you can detect when an alt is going up quickly during a relaunch, etc. and get some profit before it tanks again, if you are not too greedy.

Movements in BTC/fiat are less predictable IMO, but are safer long term. Long term BTC tends to go up always.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent rally correlated with exponential increase of fake volume on BTC China on: November 05, 2016, 04:13:20 PM
It is hard to believe that traders are so naive to not recognize fake volume. Or perharps there are too many newbie traders in this world?
410  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: MMURL - Short URL & Earn Money on: November 05, 2016, 04:01:37 PM
Great! I was using credhot and just closed and was looking for another url shortener that allowed payment in bitcoin. Because even though you speak of dollars... you are refering to dollars in bitcoin right?
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Business To Create? on: November 05, 2016, 03:59:40 PM
I think that exchanges will be more and more used. There are few exchanges with a wide variety of altcoins IMO and the ones there are, though good, do not have too much volume. Most people are after the BTC and exchange alts for BTC, so it can be considered a "Bitcoin" business.

Also I think there is a lack of a service that allow people to tip bitcoin really easily. Most of tipping services assume the user already nows about bitcoin and need to be filled with btc before you can tip. A service that (for example) could be refilled by watching some ads in a faucet-like way (that would not require a new user to know anything about bitcoin) Then it could allow you to tip blog authors and others would be great.

412  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC keep rise again... on: November 05, 2016, 04:22:30 AM
It has always shocked me how news can affect so much the price of bitcoin. I guess this is because it is not in so many hands... there are relatively few bitcoin users and they panic or get excited at the smallest piece of news.
413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: November 05, 2016, 04:19:08 AM
Did not now the Christmas season produces more trading volume. Gotta be prepared for this year!

You always learn something new here. Thanks.
414  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: www.faucetbirds.com & www.faucetcows.com acquired by faucetgaming on: November 05, 2016, 04:16:57 AM
That's good news. I love those faucet games and the earning possibilities they have for the long haul. They are semi passive. Hope the best for them.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Capital Controls on Bitcoin on: November 05, 2016, 04:14:34 AM
It will be hard to ban something so pervasive. Perhaps I do not know much, but, as there are lots of bitcoin miners in China... isn´t that good for the country? Does it not mean chinese are getting money virtually from nowhere (so country gets richer)? Why would they want to ban it?

417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening to bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 12:30:53 PM
I think they have always been a scam. Thing is, as many people are now wary of them being a scam they close earlier because they cannot go on so much.
418  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: November 04, 2016, 12:18:50 PM
I have been using cryptopia for about a year, and love it. The exchange is much easier to navigate than most exchanges, notifications are fast and help a lot with daily trading. There are lots of coins that are not in other exchanges.

I have found a great community too in the trollbox. Hope to see cryptopia skyrocket!
