1161  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 Bitcoin Predictions on: January 13, 2016, 06:48:40 PM
Here are my Bitcoin price predictions:
1. BTC stable at around $400-$500 for the next few months.
2. 40-50% spike for block halving hype.
3. Retracement back down to $400-$500 level.
4. Slow rise to $700 per BTC once weak hands are out.

This OP mimics so well what I think will happen, that I will only quote it. Around 400-500$ rising slowly from that, with ups and downs along the way. Sounds logical.
1162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 13, 2016, 06:44:43 PM
But, did the price really go below 400$? I have seen a quite important drop, but it is still well above 400 and does not seem to sink more. I expect it to rebound, like the other two times before. Time to buy some more bitcoin, I think.

Let's see.
1163  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you help with bitcoin? on: January 13, 2016, 05:10:20 PM
If I really had a lot of money, I would put up a site selling products at a discount in bitcoin. Then I would try to promote the site. If people can buy cheaper in Bitcoin, they will likely learn how to use it without insisting on it.

That is what I think at least.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most creative ways to hide your seed on: January 13, 2016, 05:01:51 PM
That made me think of how I keep my seed  Grin I was installing the HD wallet and when the seed/passphrase was shown I thought: How can I record it and be sure of not losing it? then I read a message in the installation window that said something like "do not take a pic of this or something like that".

Then I went "Oh yes, a pic! such great idea" and made a pic of the screen loooooool.

1165  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: scam bullshit on: January 13, 2016, 04:56:48 PM
I reached to the 1 million minimum withdraw with effort in satoshieight, but knowing from the start that the probability of being paid was close to zero. Too high claims in too little time.

But I had to try, LOL.

Never again.
1166  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: BonumCoin.com - Free Bitcoin Daily! on: January 13, 2016, 03:06:22 PM
Great faucet, very clean and a nice ammount.

Yes, it is only one time a day... but frequency does not matter much if you use it along with other faucets. It is the work/benefit ratio that is good, and it is not easy to get 1000 satoshis for just one captcha these days.

1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: *NEW WALLET* FLY coin v1.78 RELEASED 1/10/2016!! New thread. on: January 12, 2016, 06:50:28 PM
LOOK OUT PEOPLE - I HAD ALL OF MY COINS STOLEN TODAY.  THEY GOT 4100 OR MORE OF MY FLYCOINS - I AM SURE THEY WILL BE DUMPED AS THEY JUST DID WITH MY AMBERCOINS

Sorry to hear that brother. Is that why everybody is asking for the admins in cryptopia chat? I will cancel my buy orders asap until this solves.

Hope you can get them back.
1168  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: goBitFaucet.co | My First Faucet XD on: January 12, 2016, 04:47:48 PM
Lots of popups, then two fake box to enter the Bitcoin address. Finally I find them, enter my address, solve the captcha and get to claim only to get a message "your faucet exceeded the safety limits" or something like that.

I hope the best, that you can fix it and make it a little more comfortable to claim. Some flaws at first are understandable, as this is your first faucet.
1169  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: January 12, 2016, 04:33:50 PM
This is quite interesting, a mining game that tells you it is a game beforehand. There are lots of "mining" sites that are in fact fake, and the only one playing the game is the owner, so a site like this is great for a change.

Thanks for sharing this. Will check it.
1170  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Eternity Wall - Messages lasting forever on: January 12, 2016, 04:18:10 PM
Nice idea for sure, but How do I do to post messages? I cannot figure out how to do it, cannot type in the field or see any button to do it or something.

And how is that paid service? Perhaps you need the app to do it?
1171  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Stupid powering question on: January 12, 2016, 04:13:01 PM
I expect some laughs at this, but I have seen inventions used in third world countries like a car battery connected to a bike. Battery is connected to a bulb to light the house and people ride and pedal the bike in order to charge the Battery.

Without having any idea of electricity at all... Will something like that be possible for mining? That would be sort of mining by human effort and not just energy consumption from the net.

1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we hold 300... on: January 12, 2016, 04:06:54 PM
Good to see old posts. Now the question is if we will hold the 440$ and maintain Bitcoin above that price as a "new standard" and it seems that the answer may be yes in this case. 300 is holded and surpassed Cheesy
1173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to invest in Bitcoin businesses? on: January 12, 2016, 03:51:59 PM
There are Bitcoin exchanges who allow for investments in them rather easily. For example, Bleutrade exchange offers "bleutrade shares" which are listed as any other altcoin in the exchange, but represent a piece of the company's profit by trading fees. You just buy shares and get a % of the fees collected by the exchange.

Cryptopia (another exchange) offer shares at 1 million DOTcoin (which can be bought at the same exchange for Bitcoin). Then you just contact an admin (they can be accessed easily through chat or message) and buy a share.

1174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Exchange cryptsy dies? on: January 12, 2016, 03:09:18 PM
So this is really the end? I have been reading about cryptsy dying for months I think, but whenever I entered the site it seemed to work. It is true that some coins were overpiced, though.

Fortunately (it seems) I have nothing in cryptsy right now.
1175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the danger of buying Bitcoins with ID from a bank? on: January 12, 2016, 03:03:40 PM
Personally, I do not mind giving my id in order to buy bitcoin in a more convenient way. I do not feel every hacker in the world is after me to steal my coins or cash and use it for criminal activities. There is a risk that happens perhaps, but I feel it is not worth the pain to try to make every transaction absolutely private.

1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin from illegal activities on: January 12, 2016, 02:42:33 PM
In my view, is the activity that is tainted, not the coins. Lets say something receives X ammount of BTC for selling drugs. Then he pays X ammount to buy a tablet in a site accepting Bitcoin. Part of the coins are now in the hands of the merchant who sold the tablet.... how can that money be considered "tainted"? He obtained it lawfully.

1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 12, 2016, 02:32:57 PM
Bitcoin might someday have power to make banks change or evolve. But they will likely not disappear. There is too much money and tradition at stake, and bankers tend to be cunning enough to adapt and not let themselves die.

But yes, I expect some change.
1178  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitFury has the No. 1 Crown for Now... on: January 11, 2016, 03:39:54 PM
Remember bitfury because they were partners of bit-x, if I am not wrong. Would love to see the cloud mining service working again, it was good for me.

Anyone here uses bitfury miners?
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big Rally In Progress! on: January 11, 2016, 03:10:16 PM
yeah, price has clearly stabilized on a higher number, with some ups and downs, but always far above the numbers that were normal in the beginning of 2014. It is likely to become stable above the 450$ mark in some weeks or perhaps a couple of months.
1180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stamp is Leading BTC.....That means DUMPAGE! on: January 11, 2016, 02:58:42 PM
Never heard about stamp. Is this a shorthand for the real name of the exchange?

Does not seem there is going to be a big dump either. Price is going a little bit down, but slowly, and hope it goes up again soon.
