1301  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NEED MINING STORIES FOR BITCOIN BOOK on: June 10, 2023, 09:01:20 PM
I can't seem to find someone here who tells their story and I don't think you need someone about Bitcoin mining stories because all people who mine Bitcoin are almost have the same story.

Try this one below and maybe you can get some guide about mining where authors tell their stories about mining Bitcoin.

1302  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S19j pro + dropping Hashrate on: June 09, 2023, 01:10:47 PM
I don't know exactly what your unit problem is but if you can paste the whole logs here maybe we can find the issue.
Just don't forget to put all logs inside the insert code tag it's a # button that you can find when editing a post.

Anyway, I have a few suggestions maybe the issue is high temp so make sure that your room is well-ventilated and make sure that you bring hot air out of the room.
Another suggestion try to upgrade the firmware to the latest version.
1303  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: not tech savvy need some help on: June 08, 2023, 05:37:14 PM
tried following your advice but the 1.35 4lines wants a chain code and a root key but i have like a really long password with symbols i cant input under "chain code" area?is it a different option?

No, I guess you did it wrong after you paste your root key and check the "encrypt wallet" after restore the wallet you should be able to put any password you want.

If the guide above that I posted didn't help then I suggest check the video guide from Armory support from this link below.

About chain code, it should be included in your paper backup if not, or if you don't have it try to restore the wallet on version 1.35c(unencrypted).
1304  Other / Meta / Re: Onionsite Has Disconnected - Only in bitcointalk on: June 08, 2023, 03:58:17 PM
That is not a forum issue but it's a common issue even on other websites when accessing you can sometimes get this error and I think the cause may be due to an overloaded Tor network.

I can't find any possible solution to this but to reset your identity or wait for a few hours it will fix by itself.
1305  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How would you get started on create a custom firmware for a Antminer S19 on: June 08, 2023, 03:43:50 PM
No one would do that and there is no guide here on how to create custom firmware for this unit and I'm sure no one will share a guide.

If your problem is the fan and power control there are some modded firmware that you can find on the forum with that features.
Sample Braiins OS you can find their official thread from this link below

1306  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Recommended chip temperature - Antminer 17 serie? on: June 07, 2023, 09:06:50 PM
I tried to search on Google but you can only find PCB temp for this unit.
Also tried to search for the BM1397 datasheet but no one share it yet.

I think the Asic chip max temp for the 17 series is usually around 110c-135c.

My suggestion is better run it in auto mode instead of running it in manual mode because if you set it near the max temp you just likely frying your chips to death.
And it is always better to keep them cool.
1307  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Identify Canaan Avalon 1066 hashboard on: June 07, 2023, 03:57:38 PM
PVT_T0 it is a list of the temperature of 0 hashboard meaning it should be the first hashboard but thats not the only way to identify which hashboard is bad check the HASHS on the logs sample this one HASHS[ 1 0 0 ] if it shows the same as this then the first hashboard is bad.

Why not share all of your logs? It doesn't have any API of your miner so it is safe if you share the whole logs instead.

Another thing is the troubleshooting is available on Canaan support under this link below and then go to the manual then download the troubleshooting pdf file.

1308  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Have you ever tried to repair a broken ASIC miner yourself? on: June 06, 2023, 08:42:54 PM

Not sure where you got the "selling" part from, looking at the website all the diagrams and materials are downloadable for free, they probably offer paid consultation of some sort which of course makes sense, they can't be doing that for free, whether they are legit or not is something I don't know, but I checked the website and the materials are free.

The image diagram is free its publicly posted there but when I trying to download the docx or the repair guide from Whatsminer M3 it ask for MHC payment check the screenshot below.

1309  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: June 06, 2023, 08:17:29 PM
It seems this is the last post from the admin FuzzyBear. Please does anyone know how i can get my Devtome account up?
I already sent a message to admin FuzzyBear but his last post is saying 2021, please can anybody help me out on how to get Devtome account??
Are you sure? He is active here recently it would be better make a separate thread about devtome because this thread is for Gekkoscience.

Or bring your concern to their official thread here

Ok I just PM him for you and expect for response through PM.
1310  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: DIY Crypto Mining on: June 06, 2023, 02:50:56 PM
As far as I know this Raspberry pi and usb stick you are talking about cannot be used for bitcoin mining. Because it doesn't have the ability to solve a math problem to mine Bitcoin.

The raspberry pi only use to run the software the USB stick miner we talking about is Compact F it is an ASIC miner in USB stick that support SHA256 meaning you can still mine Bitcoin using this USB miner.

Actually, about solving a block I heard the news who mine solo with this miner and luckily mine a 6.5BTC on ckpool minus 2% fees.
1311  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Have you ever tried to repair a broken ASIC miner yourself? on: June 06, 2023, 02:22:33 PM
Are you sure you are selling them? Do you own those guides?
Most of the guides and docs can be downloaded for free from their support.

And also you can download them free from https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/

1312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 06, 2023, 02:09:58 PM
DCA only works if you know that the price will rise again soon true traders do not use this strategy they mostly do stop-loss to cut losses and without analysis, you will never know when to buy the dip.

Due to recent news about Binance and Coinbase, there are many investors pulled out their investments from exchanges. So there is still a possibility that the price may decrease more if you don't use stop-loss you may lose more.

Unless you believe the issue on both Binance and Coinbase will solve early then DCA will work and if you can wait for long to hold while buying the dip.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help me, what happened with my transaction? on: June 05, 2023, 10:43:38 PM
Trustwallet has some bugs like this issue even the transaction is confirmed. It's a well-known issue.

Would you mind to try to connect to another internet or use VPN and maybe there is something in your current internet blocking trustwallet to connect online.

If it didn't work like the above said you can import your wallet to Electrum.
1314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to receive L-BTC from exchanges to Electrum wallet on: June 05, 2023, 09:36:22 PM
so you think i should use lightning channel if im doing like 10 small transactions of around 20$-30$ each monthly ?
Take note that lightning is still experimental which is why most of exchanges do not support it yet like Binance but there is news that they are going to support it but only for small transactions.

So I think yes due to current network congestion having a lightning channel can save you more fees than using Mainnet.
1315  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: DIY Crypto Mining on: June 05, 2023, 09:19:16 PM
There's a guide here that you can follow if you want to run a compact F USB miner check this one below to get some idea.

One compact F is not enough to make a quick buck I think 10 or more with a hub will make you $1+ weekly.
1316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to receive L-BTC from exchanges to Electrum wallet on: June 04, 2023, 11:53:29 PM
+ im just looking for a way to withdraw my btc earnings from binance to electrum with low fees

Even if you withdraw it to Electrum you will still pay fees. Opening channels on Electrum still need to pay fees.

If you want to withdraw with low fees the only option you can pay low fees is by using BNB smartchain but Electrum doesn't support it.

I already check Binance fees on withdrawal they currently ask for around $5 for both mainnet and Ethereum chain.
1317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 1166 Pro 81T Help on: June 03, 2023, 11:40:58 PM
There are many issues according to your logs not only overheating it also has problems connecting to the pool due to high netfail and bootby also like the above said the middle hashboard is abnormal or it might have connection problems you can try to clean terminals and replug them first but if it didn't work you'll need to replace it.
1318  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Solo Mine to Bitcoin Core with Antminer S9 on: June 03, 2023, 11:27:26 PM
If you want to solo mine why not use https://solo.ckpool.org/ so that you don't need to host and wait to download almost 500gb blockchain?
I never heard someone succeed in mine solo with their own node unless you run your own pool.

If you want an open-source pool then you can check this one https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp
So that you have your own stratum mining pool and I'm sure it will work to mine solo.
1319  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: offline air-gapped electrum on: June 02, 2023, 11:47:25 PM
Is anyone doing this and what is the app they are using to allow offline signing of ETH transactions and then port over to separate computer to broadcast, same flow as with Electrum?

If you talking about ETH then you should make another thread to the altcoin section to get the right response.

And I think there is no app yet for ETH that can make offline transaction but they do have a web version that you can also with your phone check this link here
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: June 02, 2023, 11:22:38 PM
I agree with @BitMaxz that while we have security in a wallet like Electrum, then there is no desire to move to a new wallet.
Nunchuk requires an email and there is no way to make a wallet on this app without the email. So what's the point of collecting our email? Maybe because of their cloud service but it is still not safe to keep our private keys to any online storage.

I also check their PlayStore reviews most of the reviews look biased and fake the only real reviews there are those that give 1 star.
