2881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 20, 2023, 08:36:51 AM

Question is:

What is the possibility of the betting agent getting his money soon/considering the gambler's low-income earnings?

It is extremely difficult for the betting agent to get his money soon considering the low income earnings of the gambler in this case. The gambler's only choice in this context is if he goes and get a loan from the bank which if does so this would burden even further the situation he got and put himself in.That is why gambling is not for everyone and unfortunately the only one to blame is the gambler in this case, most of the blame is on him but if the betting agent just let him play on credit without any contract or any paper or legal agreement then he is the one to have a hard time and probably not ever get his money back.
2882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 20, 2023, 08:02:28 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
do you quit your jobs after your first pay??
It's same thing with gambling for some persons.

I do not encourage addiction if that's the case but I feel like gambling is a source of livelihood for so many persons, quitting after a big win isn't even an option for them

Of course quitting after a big win is never an option for most of us and  is most of the time an incentive rather and than a stopper for most people but there are some gamblers,me being one of them that we set limits for example if I hit x1500 my bet I call it a day and quit for that day no matter if I see that the slot machine is giving a lot of money during this session as I consider my objective achieved.

Sometimes is easy to quit, you hit a really big loss and that put you into thinking mode, you say what I have done now and I will never do it again while the hard quitting is when you win sometimes and you think that even if you lose some others winning times will come again and this is a dangerous cycle ready to throw you into addiction.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 20, 2023, 07:36:41 AM
Sometimes in extreme conditions they do.It is a personal case to me as I was badly addicted in 2019 and in the early 2020,one time I lost so much money that I could not afford to lose that my level of regret and sadness was at the highest.I laid down to think cold headed and started thinking of what I had just done, this led me to carefully think ahead and I decided to never again gambling more than I could afford to lose, since then with the passing of time I developed a really strong self will and managed to never do that horrible thing again.

So bottom line, gambling addicts sometimes do think and correct the consequences caused by their behavior.
2884  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 20, 2023, 07:10:33 AM
Decentralized casinos, which operate on blockchain technology, sometimes offer an alternative to traditional casinos by providing more anonymity and removing the need for KYC but obviously they are not entirely foolproof either. As with any online activity, there are inherent risks so using the reputate sites, checking in the forum... those are required.
Generally decentralized casinos do ask for KYC data. If the need arises such as for big withdrawal or if they are suspecting any un usual activities then they ask for KYC. You cannot guarantee that your data is secure in a reputed casino. Data leaks may happen and sometimes they might not delete your data after closure of your account. There is risk but if you are gambling you are always at a risk. I do not think KYC data can be such a big issue for a gambler.
Decentralized platforms are not regulated, registered or licensed, so there hasn't been any instance so far where a decentralized casino asked its gamblers to complete KYC verification because the money that is being bet on games isn't going to them and then coming back to the gamblers because everything is done on-chain through smart contracts, so they don't need to check anything at all and that is what they do.

Though authorities have signaled that they might start regulating decentralized platforms too in the future, and if that happens and they are forced to register themselves and operate under a license, they will surely ask gamblers for KYC verification after that.
Some casinos that pose themselves to be decentralized are not totally decentralized. It cannot be decentralized and still be requiring KYC. Whose serve will recieve the KYCed data and for what purpose.
A totally decentralized casino is been hunted by the government and used for illicit purposes and that is why they do not gain much public popularity. Also the difficulty in setting it up is not what someone that just want to gamble for fun will want to do.

No casino nowadays be it FIAT who have always been KYC complaint and the crypto ones will at some point ask for KYC if you win a big amount and want to withdraw money. That is in the casinos right to ask for KYC as they want to know who is getting this amount of money in order to comply with anti money laundering policies.Of course in the end it is up to the user if he wants to get it all at once this amount or he is patient enough to get it in smaller chunks thus avoiding KYC,personally I have KYC level 2 only on Stake which I fully believe them.

I only free roll when I check my affiliate income.

It seems it's probably best to convert 100k RP for BTC and then buy FUN.  I kind of like spending 4400 RP for the wheel.  Sometimes it pays out more than 4400 satoshis... sometimes it pays out more than 4400 RP... sometimes it gets a Lambo ticket (and of course other times you "kinda" lose.)

Right now I'm sitting with 44 Lambo tickets this drawing, that'd be a nice surprise to wake up to.

Currently, I have 5477 affiliates.  I think I've won a weekly prize once thus far.

FreeBitco.in bankrolls the entire faucet on FreeBitcoins.com.  Not to shabby Tongue

You have a huge amount of affiliates,of course if at least half of them are active it is normal that it is not to shabby  Grin.I only have 25 affiliates which are all active, well sorta as they roll once in 2-3 days I assume when they remember to do so and whatever help from the affiliated no matter how small it is always appreciated.

Now if you get a good amount of satoshis from your affiliates, buying FUN tokens in this exact moment as discussed earlier here is the best you can do as I am pretty sure in the next bull run the guys who have accumulated the most of them would be making a substantial decent profit out of them.
2886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 19, 2023, 08:39:49 PM
So far I don't see any surprise results, sure some may consider the Denmark draw and the Romania draw as surprise results but to me they are normal results, finally one of these days where I have to admit that betting on National teams is much better than betting in club teams as we are seeing very few surprise results during this round of Euro qualifiers.

I think the game of tomorrow are even better to make even more money as I don't think there will be a lot of surprise results tomorrow either although you never know what to expect from such games.

Is there a way to buy FUN with reward points?

There are some but which all of them lead to the same destination, you exchange you reward points for different things, like 1000% roll bonus and that is a good way to buy 3-4 FUN for every roll you make, the best way though is to exchange your RP for WoF spins but in order to do so to exchange a lot of them is only if you have gambled enough that you can exchange your RP up to 100 WoF spins and with these spins to get Satoshis to buy the FUN tokens,so as you see the best way if you are a gambler is the second one and the best way if you are not a gambler is to buy and use that 1000% bonus.
2888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: June 19, 2023, 07:33:53 PM
although the competition is very fierce in the gambling industry, but if the casino already has a lot of customers as well as one of the biggest casinos I don't think it is necessary to carry out promotions that spend too much money to attract the attention of new customers. because if the casino has become big, of course it will be enough to do advertisements, of course, people out there will already recognize that the casino is very big and trusted, so there is no doubt thinking about any risks.
except for the things you mentioned are done by small casinos that have to compete with casinos that are already big.
The gaming industry is essentially all about competition, with the best remaining at the top and providing clearly visible rewards to its customers. The gambling industry is all about taking chances for the purpose to attain your goals. Casinos and other gaming sites have their differences, and I'm convinced that both parties are working relentlessly collaboratively to meet client demand and complaints. The space is all about profits and losses; gamblers tend to stick with the gambling site that best fits their playing style; no one wants a casino site that does not favor them.

Correct! those gamblers who use the platforms are enjoying with the services and perks that they are getting from the site, they choose to stay as they are comfortable and they trust the owners, exploring with other casino house will be at risk knowing that the chance of getting scam is really something that can happen to anyone.

All about trust and how you deal with your research before taking your way using any platforms for your gambling activities.

Nowadays the number of scam casinos is on the rise as scammers are always looking to make profit from unsuspecting victims,it is easy to copy cat and make a clone of a casino website. That is why most people who are here long enough they keep reading the Gambling section of the forum and they know that the best casinos to play where they know they will be safe and their money will be safe is in the ones who are here long enough, have only positive feedback, keep their users busy with bonuses and promotion and is only natural that these users feel appreciated there and remain loyal to such casinos.

I suggest this advice to anyone reading here.

Ok I didn't do too badly on hindsight, though have to say in this pool finishing two points off the pack leaders is quite a distance... Seem to be either dropping off a position or keeping steady every race but just have to keep hoping one of you bastards slip up.

Nice win rdbase!

Last year, the first season of this predictor pool I started from the very bottom place but in the middle of the season I did 8-9 consecutive races missing the top place by just 0.5 to 1 point and that is what brought me to that third place which was the last place of the paying spots.I had even lost three times the EBP and the pole sitter. Why am I telling all this, because consistency is key in this pool,as long as we do 0.5 to 1 point distance from the first place every remaining race there is no chance that the one who achieve such result won't end up in the paying spots, that is what I think the beauty of this pool, there are always chances to catch up here much different than football pools.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 19, 2023, 02:12:03 PM
I just did a random pick for this round of F1 as I still believe we will have 1 chaos race and it seems that Canada might be that one.

Also , after Ferrari won LeMans , I went with Lec to get another podium , followed by a victory and 1-2 podium for Ferrari with both Max and Lewis having a DNF as I didn't take neither of them for top 10. Instead , I went with Perez to take 3rd place and also the fastest lap of the race. Grin Grin Grin

I did the same and didn't change my picks after quali...  But I got my best result in the pool thus far because of it.  Cheesy  I think I'll be doing just that from here on out.  I don't think I'll be fighting for the money spots anyway since I'm ranked 22th at the table.

Can't wait for the next races, Austria, Silverstone, Hungary then we go to Belgium!  I hope it doesn't rain in Belgium. Spa is prolly my favorite track of all time.

Spa I think is the favorite of all the F1 fans as it is a track well over 7 km,the longest in the F1 calendar and a very technical track which somewhat emphasize drivers skill more than the car power,of course the car power is needed to win the race but I am talking here about the fight for the other spots as 1st and 2nd most likely are Redbull spots here if Perez does not screw up again.

Good for you that you got that many points with random picks,in fact it was tight there in the standings from what I have seen not a lot of differences in the first 15 spots so keep going with randomness and who knows you maybe coming for those prize spots until the end.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU Mining altcoins on: June 19, 2023, 01:17:43 PM
If you want to mine on CPU, buy Ryzen 2000, 3000 & 5000 series from the second hand market.
3000 & 5000 series basically have same performance for most mining algorithms. Ryzen 1000 just might work if you get them for free as I see people offloading them for real cheap these days. But power consumption might not be optimal for the performance.

They are usually cheap enough for it to be "manageable" if you are adventurous to take a potential no win scenario but just break even.
Don't buy the newest stuff because you will never get back the investment in time.

I don't do this myself but looked into it briefly at times. It's never profitable to put in as a investment but if you have a large cache of used parts it could be done as a side hobby.

If you are upgrading your main PC just for the latest & greatest, your old PC's could be used for this unless you want to hand it over to someone else to be sold or such as parts.
Used parts market have a large supply of potential cheap processors to be used these days with decent performance per unit to be much better than buying the newest generation.

Though GPU mining is much easier to setup & get a return faster.
The payback of such a computer in mining is very doubtful, most likely never. Have you studied processor prices now? The Ryzen 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000 series processors do not have motherboards for multi-processor installation, so for each processor you have a lot of additional costs for components and additional power consumption when mining.

Exactly. You can only profit if you have already build computers with such processors that for example like I have permission to use work PC-s to do whatever I like as long as I get the job done, you may have also permission of doing so and this means you are mining free of cost and you can try any CPU coins,I have gone with Raptoreum and this is a gamble I am more than willing to make as if this coin hits its previous all time high of almost 0.09 I would be a very happy man and I would be a super happy man if it reaches a new all time high in the next bull run.
What do you do at work if your work computers are busy mining? Smiley
I would probably pay my employee an extra $30 a month so that he does not do extraneous business on working PCs, which after mining will need more frequent cleaning and replacement of thermal paste and of course a good cooling system.

Not only mining,I have also virtual machines running and other financial programs that I monitor as I am the IT so it is like a Operation Center room my office and no one says a thing to me as long as I get the job done and bring money to the company by having their systems in uptime and working as much as possible  Grin.

I am mining with the CPU so not a lot of maintenance is need for CPU mining and I don't see any decrease in performance,I don't do mining because I am badly in need of money but why don't do it when I can and at 0 cost,it is a no brainer I will do it.

So at the end you steal from your employer and nothing more. I am sure he has no idea what you are doing. So this is morally questionable, but you also advertise casinos, so sure you have no morally.

I have permission from my employer to do whatever I like in that room, operations room which happens to be my office as long as I keep the devices in an efficient operating condition as the company makes money from such work.I am not stealing anything and the fact that I advertise casinos got nothing to do with having moral or not  Grin.

I believe you to be envious as you cannot mine for free like I do and I have already more than 10.000 thousand CPU coins which I can make a fortune in the next bull run  Grin.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: June 19, 2023, 01:01:59 PM

1. I see that I've lost more money than I could easily afford to lose. Just a bit more, and I stop.

2. If I win a good amount, more than 50x of my bet, I stop for the day, right away.

I agree with your first point as that can be very dangerous if people continue to go further south and the risk of addiction is exactly there. While for the second point I found it very difficult for me to just quit for 50x my bet but if your bet is big enough then I may agree with it too, personally when I play if I don't hit over x1500 my bet it is very difficult for me to stop,I do not play for x50 my bet as that is not substantial amount for me because I play with lower bets, usually the minimum one and with such bet I need at least x1500 multiplier in order to consider it a good day and a good win.
2893  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the most recognised celebrations in your country? on: June 19, 2023, 12:38:24 PM
It was father's day yesterday and in my country it was recognised as many people sent their father's good wishes on that day. In some places it was celebrated more, less in some other places and not celebrated at all in some places all because of the level of importance that they have place on the celebration. Different celebrations have different importance and the importance can be determined by the persons location.
For example, a Christmas holiday will be celebrated more in a Christian country as Eid would in an Islamic country.

Arrange these celebrations in order of how celebrated and recognised they are in your country.
Christmas day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Eid holidays, Valentine's Day, Halloween, children's day, Thanksgiving, Independence dayetc

What I have listed cannot be all the celebrations, you can add a celebration that you know which is not part of what I have listed.

I live now in a country where they celebrate not only their national holidays but they do so for all the religions, summer day, children's day,Valentine day,Black Friday,Cyber Monday (which are American holidays by the way) and they do not care as long as they get a day off from these "holidays" which most of them are imported here but don't you just love the fact that as long as they get some benefit,i.e work day off they embrace whatever celebration they can.

They also do not make distinctions as which "holiday" is celebrated more as for them they are all the same, they bring the benefit of days off and the more the merrier.
2894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 19, 2023, 12:20:31 PM
Some casinos came out with their own token if I remember correctly Betfury to be one of them and a couple of others casinos did the same, they were also letting users investing in their bankroll which was kinda like buying stocks.Their popularity though as far as I know is long gone and very well reputable casinos who are market leaders now do not offer such option and this to me explain well why they will not be successful to the gamblers.

I personally was never tempted to try and invest in a casino bankroll but there were users who were posting their progress here and one of them won a nice amount of Bitcoin without doing anything by just investing there.

Head of Ukraine intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov death
Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi,  deserted to a foreign country
So, first they made conspiracy theory that Zaluzhny is dead or heavy injured. But when it become clear that he is OK, Russia comes with another cheap fake that he run away from Ukraine.
And now Budanov dead, c'mon...

I have been asking a lot of times where do the Kremlin guys take their drugs as normal people cannot say the things these guys say  Grin. They keep it as a secret though while Ukrainian counter offensive slow-slowly is taking good ground, yesterday they liberated the 8th village in 2 weeks and Russia is suffering the highest level of casualties since March where they lost a lot of personnel in Bakhmut fight (of course Ukrainian is losing too but never in the same amount as Russia). The Kremlin guys though thanks to their drugs told this weekend that we have demilitarized Ukraine and we have achieve our goal, how freaking funny is this  Grin.
2896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: June 19, 2023, 11:16:54 AM
Gambling is just for fun and not to make money. And if anyone wants to earn or make money from gambling, they should think again because it won't be easy and they could lose a lot of money. And it depends on their goals in playing gambling because if they just want to have fun, they don't think about chasing the win.

Many people think they can recover their losses, but instead of quitting, they try to play a few rounds to see how good their luck is. But what is there is that they have experienced perhaps more losses than before.

And only having self-control can prevent you from losing a lot. But unfortunately, only a few gamblers can really control themselves while gambling so they can stop on time.

The idea of gambling just for fun is the most ideal method, so that we avoid potential addiction. But even that is conditional, must be balanced with self-control and responsibility. maybe, for you, we, us, this idea is very familiar. but for most beginners, this kind of idea would not have occurred to them.

This notion too, does not necessarily mean that we cannot make a profit from gambling. there are many methods to make money gambling, even if the concept is just for fun. because, our goal in gambling is none other than risking our money and at the same time bringing in income if luck is on our side. but unfortunately, the concept of the idea of having fun is mostly allegorical. because in practice, it's not uncommon for us to get carried away when doing gambling sessions. or even, it could be that emotions control us more. not infrequently, we are carried away by an atmosphere that ends in successive defeats. So how wise would it be if the idea of simply having fun in gambling was balanced, with both self-control and responsibility. that way, at least we have more limits when conducting gambling sessions.
Your view of gambling as chilled-out leisure paints an alluring picture but not without risks. Things get messy when the initial excitement of risk-taking turns into a fixation. Saying that only a few gamblers can stay in control is a big understatement. Many studies reveal that most people can't recognize when they've shifted from a good time to an addiction. Their brains link the thrill of the gamble with happiness, complicating quitting. Though gambling for fun with self-restraint seems feasible, it overlooks the potential destruction of addiction. It's essential to highlight that for many, gambling isn't a simple toss-up between enjoyment and gain. It's a psychological trap causing deep financial and emotional issues.

That is a nice explanation out there, the human brain cannot make a distinction between a good time and when we overdo it because most of the time while we are gambling our brain emit dopamine the hormone which makes us feel good and in a happy mood, this is dangerous as only when we lose all the money we realize that we were not that happy after all.

I think though a big step in getting away from becoming addicted is to withdraw money we need for something else and only to leave money that we can afford to lose to the casino site, even if we lose that money we will not be that sad and this works for me most of the times.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 19, 2023, 10:39:46 AM
Well, another victory for Verstappen. This isn't exciting anymore, is it? He now holds the record together with Senna, but that record is different from the moment it was measured at the Brazilian. A race without Verstappen would make it all more fun and exciting. Of course all credits to Verstappen, because only the very best in this sport can win his races with great force majeure. The rest is so behind every race that it doesn't really seem like a race. I think the rest are already happy with a 2nd place. Only teammate Perez seems to be the only one who can win a game every now and then this season.

Well, I quite enjoyed this race, even though from the start I already knew that Max would win again, it was the race behind him that was quite interesting. Especially when Alonso and Hamilton competed for P2 and Albon, who held 5 people behind him for half the race, was very exciting to watch. And what's even more interesting is how Ferrari's strategy managed to bring Leclerc and Sainz to the top and that's very good. So this is a very good race in my opinion compared to the previous races.

I think Albon deserved to be driver of the day in yesterday race as he made sure only thanks to his driving skills to keep behind better cars than Williams and in a track like this one where DRS gives you a big upper hand the fact that he manage to keep behind better cars means that this guy deserves again to be racing in a top team like Redbull where did race for little time a couple of seasons back.I think he can be a good fit for Mercedes when Hamilton leaves or for Ferrari if Leclerc is not happy with them and moves on to another team,I am sure Albon can bring us a lot of good racing based on what he is doing with Williams which is the weakest car on the grid.

Overally, a bad performance from Perez once again...

yeah, pretty disappointing from him, not sure what is happening
overall, having Alonso and Hamilton on a podium is good for F1, at least race for second place is becoming more interesting, since Max is already champion IMO

regarding race, watch some parts, and it was pretty boring, nothing much to see during the race, and top three closing on qualifications schedule
kudos to Bottas, he got point, but podium would really an achievement with his car

I think he had a really big odd Bottas to be in top 10 drivers and I think those bold enough to bet on him in the end of the race to be inside the points threshold got a nice reward for their courage. The race was boring yes but it is because of all other teams not being able to keep up with Redbull and what makes it even more boring is the fact that Perez does not know to drive well enough in order to put pressure on the other cars,I am sure if it was Verstappen in Perez place would have been in the podium as a minimum, his driving style is much more aggressive and that is what is needed from a driver in F1 in general, not some drivers who just know how to drive a F1 car.
2899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 19, 2023, 09:27:59 AM
*sighs* here we go again with people trying to justify gambling as a source of income when they can easily just fill up an application form and get themselves a regular 9-5 that doesn't put their entire savings and their family's future in the line.

First off, are you good at gambling? Do you win more than lose? Do you think you have what it takes to take on the pro scene and be pitted against people who have probably cracked the secrets to the game way before you did? Second, Are you really willing to put your stuff on the line for some strategy you saw on the internet, even worse someone you heard from? I'm not that belligerent and gullible but I sure as hell know people will fall for this kind of crap. I mean there are people who used gambling consultation services lmao.

Gambling is not a form of profit-taking venture. It is an entertainment method that you do when you want to wind out and experience the joy of spending money you don't mind losing. If you think of gambling otherwise, and you're not any of those two I mentioned above then you might wanna ask yourself if you're still sane or something.

People will learn quick that relying on this industry for their income as they will put their family in trouble.
Do remember, most gamblers are having financial problems, hence, the negative stigma when someone is into gambling.
The likelihood of failure is high when you put yourself into this habit. Very few persons can get out alive whether short-term or long-term basis.
So to make sure you are putting something on your table, better look for a stable job and not think that gambling will ever sustain your lifestyle.
A lot of people are getting trap to the idea of hitting big one day, but we all know, most of the time, such luck won't ever come.
And your family can't wait for such luck as you need to put something in your tummy to survive. Don't exchange it to the concept of hitting the jackpot.
Gambling, conventionally, has a reputation for precipitating financial ruin. Still, its key to comprehend that it also offers potential rewards. Like all financial pursuits, it necessitates apt risk management, unwavering discipline, and a firm grip on probabilities. I align with the view that haphazard gambling for constant income is unwise and often disastrous. Yet, gambling with a calculated strategy, practical hopes, and stringent self-limits can serve as legitimate leisure and, rarely, a gainful venture. Moderation and financial acumen are crucial. With the means and insight to gauge the odds, betting can be an electrifying, occasionally rewarding diversion. However, it should never be the sole income channel or a financial problem solver.

Gambling cannot be considered as a long risk investment as while gambling we have also the risk of getting addicted and that is sure to bring to ruin any financial situation we may have.I of course acknowledge that gambling can also be a life changing event if you get to hit in the slot machines for example that x300.000 multiplier or you may be that lucky person who get to win a huge jackpot but this is also almost impossible to hit for normal people and even those that do so they have been gambling from a long time that they are still not in so much profit even after hitting these big wins.

The real life changing events for people who have won multimillion dollar jackpots can be counted with the fingers of one hand and in percentage that is like 0.0000000001% of world population have managed to get it,so no success in gambling for me,it is just entertaining.
