Yes it is. Bitcoin is starting to become bigger here in Brazil. When I discovered Bitcoin in 2014, almost no one knew about btc when I asked them. Now, people I know may not be experts but they know the name and the basic concept of Bitcoin. We also can finally buy some stuff more easily with btc.

I don't think anyone is able to have this amount of accounts without all of them being Newbies. And even if they are, its still very hard to believe someone created 10k accounts. Probably just a scam, and maybe that's why the thread was deleted?

I remember when I was the only one of my friends who knew anything about Bitcoin. One day I bought something from a local shop with Bitcoin and one of my friends was very surprised and thinking how cool that was.

Bitcoin is great to transfer high amount of money over the world, but unfortunately due to the actual situation and high fees, not that good for micro transactions like it was back in the days.

Minha mãe não tem cartão de crédito, e por isso usa um Acesso que é facilmente encontrado em um supermercado a 5 minutos de nossa casa, pra pagar mensalidades de serviços na internet como Spotify, Netflix e outras compras online diversas. Maybe the "default fee" from the wallet you are using isn't high enought to be confirmed.
I had $2 in a old wallet and I sended this amount to my new wallet with a $0.6 fee. This is a very small amount and very bellow the amount sugested by my Electrum. But after 2 days (and using viabtc accelerator) my payment god confirmed.

You should always check https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ to see how much do you need AT LEAST to make a payment, even if you don't want to pay the "suggested" fee.

1 - The traditional money is centralized, can be controlled and created by your government when they please. Since Bitcoin is not regulated, no one controls your money, and that's why Bitcoin is the money of the people.

2 - Bitcoin can be both investment and currency while real money is only money which is subject to inflation as the world roll.

The community need to do some big changes to handles this transactions.

Also, there are a lot of altcoins with great potential to become something big: ETH, XRP, DCR, etc.

Not that bad but last year I sold 0.6 BTC for R$ 1200,00 (Brazil's currency).
