1001  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: June 25, 2016, 10:23:30 PM
Recently i had a situation that i didn't had enough money to pay to the Taxi and I had only my phone with myself and my bitcoin wallet and was wondering how can i pay to the taxi with bitcoin, and this is what I would like to buy in the near future with my bitcoin. Maybe i can leave him a paper wallet with x amount of bitcoin but nobody knows how to use bitcoin around me.

Send the appropriate amount of BTC to an unfunded private key in your wallet, label it as "taxi (timestamp)" ask for their email address or SMS number, send them the private key.

I would like to buy hardware for my gaming computer, these days no one can deliver them for bitcoin and I would really like to see this.
Soon or later this will happen but it will take some time..

What hardware?

I would like to buy some clothes and some games.

I have those for sale for BTC. Which country do you live in?

Wahou... Let's take an information from Fox News (very reliable) about a quote out its context (very professional) of a hasty answer of ONE guy and let us transform this in a broadwide argument...  Roll Eyes
You obviously don't know Rangel.

Nope. But it doesn't matter. It's still important to underline that it is not an argument.
And anyway, what he says is true. You don't think the representant of the state actually deserve to be protected more than normal citizens?
Why all the means put for POTUS and VP protection then?

Absolutely not.

Especially since those like Rangel who represent the International Criminals Union at the absolute expense of public safety/We The People have zero legitimate fear about their sole beneficiaries committing any violence whatsoever against them, nor We The People suddenly becoming We The Criminals Unionists.

Guns means kill,destroy.
first you should think about sequrity and then think about it's misuse.people dying everybody. superpower countries should come forward for peace and for the human being.

Mass graves of "gun control" victims, from the Native Americans at Wounded Knee, to the Jews of the German Holocaust, and beyond, are certainly peaceful.

My Opinion is, destroy all the Guns of the World...  Cool

Easier to nuke the planet into human extinction, then there will be no need to destroy the billions of guns hidden everywhere.

Check this out, you could integrate it into your idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1516463.msg15259256#msg15259256
You could use use the "3 words" to give people a way to find items that have been stashed somewhere for the treasure hunt.
Sadly, I'm way too busy to build the site myself but have you had any offers from anyone else to help build the site? This subforum is always getting posts from people looking for a project to work on. Smiley

Nice concept. In a BTC context though, I'm reminded of CoinDing, which IIRC never worked. With CoinDing, you were supposed to go to locations on the map where there were GPS-pinned BTC rewards. I went to a few, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't claim them.

Nobody's offered to build the site. Making the private key combination & prize-splitting legitimate, secure & trustless might be impossible, as we've seen with DAO.

No doubt, gun control is a necessary thing.

In my country, to get a weapon license, you have to provide a whole bunch of documents, including hunting license, medical sertificate, etc., and also pass a specific exam.

And then you get murdered, raped, and/or maimed with impunity, if you don't do what's necessary.

Meanwhile in the third-world country of Australia (complain to Barack "no advanced developed country on earth" Obama about his characterization, not me), "gun control" worked, to ensure all manner of criminals are the only ones armed & send "gun violence" "out-of-control" this decade...

New plan unveiled to tackle out-of-control gun violence

COMBATING gun crime in NSW remains the top priority of the state's police force, senior officers announced on Wednesday.

In the past 12 months, more than 9000 guns have been taken off NSW streets and 3352 people have been charged as part of ongoing investigations by Strike Force Raptor and Operations Apollo and Spartan.

Unveiling a new plan to tackle out-of-control gun violence in Sydney on Wednesday, NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said all three strike forces had been brought together to form Operation Talon.

"There is no single source of gun crime violence...guns have fallen into the hands of organised crime, outlaw motorcycle gangs, mid-level crime groups and petty thieves and the lines are often blurred," Mr Scipione said

"That's why it is so important to focus on all these aspects in a unified way...pulling our resources together under the one banner we have that opportunity."

This is really appreciated that you would be using the money for charity purpose which would be generated by renting out to others. Also why dont you join any campaign and then whatever you earn give to charity?

I couldn't meet all their standard conditions, and they need to agree to mine above to get everything donated en masse, so I can afford to move my spartan existence (everything of mine would then fit in a U-haul cargo van - the one with windows, not the roll-up door in the back).

A bit of research I just did after getting tired of people lying about the UK having less violent crime than the US.

http://appsso.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/nui/submitViewTableAction.do Crimes recorded by the police: "Acts causing harm or intending to cause harm to the person, injurious acts of a sexual nature and acts against property involving violence or threat against a person" (not sure if they include intentional homicide since that is a separate option) - England & Wales #1 in 2011, 754,168. Add in Northern Ireland & Scotland to cover the entire UK, 33,494 and 20,145 respectively, you get 807,807.

According to https://ec.europa.eu/CensusHub2/intermediate.do?&method=forwardResult "EU 2011 Population and Housing Census" United Kingdom had 63,182,180 residents. They didn't separate the UK into the different countries like the crime stats. So after putting total population and the violent crime figures above into http://mcpcr.com/per-capita-crime-calculator/ there were 1278.536131548484 instances of violent crime per 100k people in the UK in 2011.

US estimated population 311,591,917 in mid-2011 according to http://geography.about.com/od/obtainpopulationdata/a/uspopulation.htm - US estimated violent crimes 1,203,564 in 2011
according to https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/violent-crime/violent-crime . So after putting totals of estimated population and violent crimes in http://mcpcr.com/per-capita-crime-calculator/ there were 386.2629080971956 instances of violent crime per 100k people in the US in 2011. IIRC I read somewhere that FBI OVERESTIMATES violent crime, too.

386.2629080971956/1278.536131548484=0.302113408112587 or 30.2% of the violent crime per capita in the US that the UK has.

I know where I want to live.

Taking away the rights of an average citizen to obtain and use a gun doesn't prevent criminals and psychopaths from getting guns. It just means that regular people won't be able to defend themselves.

In the United States, illegal guns are used in almost 90% of the gun-related crimes. With Mexican drug cartels such as the Los Zetas, Barrio Azteca and Los Mazatlecos expanding their operations to the Southern United States, it is only a matter of time before states such as Texas going to get swamped from illegal firearms. And if you take the guns away from the American citizens in these states, it will make them sitting ducks against the drug peddlers.

Where do illegal guns come from? Self made at home wit anvil, hammer and fire? Lol

The same way killers used illegals full autos at the bataclan in Paris.
