Busy with an in-depth technical & fundamental analysis of all crypto coins and HBN now on my undervalued coins list.

Will start throwing some hashing power @ HBN during the next few days - may also be running a HBN pool.

Keep up the good work Tranz!

ps: looking forward to the Mac client...

Thank you!

I look forward to your article.

Kinda sad to see the diff sitting high. Solo'ing is starting to be fruitless, but at least that means there's a decent network building behind it Cheesy

Looks like I'll have to join a pool soon.

Currently in the works to finish up some extra water cooled gpu's to bump me up to 3,400khs Cheesy

Nice speed!

I did just join a pool, mostly just to support one, and give some donation. But I saw we just about hit 1 difficulty!

Tranz any word on a *nix release of the wallet? the windows wallet locks up for a few days, hangs, or crashes on close and logs it in windows mysterious vault (somewhere don't care, lol)...

The old win client did have an issue with crashes with encrypted wallets. This is fixed in version 1.3, and shouldn't be seen.

I will see if I can get an unix flavored for out there with QT support.

Here's a page that may help.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212621.msg2233135#msg2233135

Seems you are missing.
sudo apt-get install libboost1.48-all-dev
or maybe the make is incorrect.

Also you seem to be using db 5.1 You will want to only use 4.8 -

sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev

Let me know if this helps.

Nice job mr. Tranz  Wink

Thanks!

New Version of HBN. You may need to upgrade in the coming months, as it includes leveldb.

For now please change the icon.

or here https://github.com/Tranz5/HoboNickels/tree/master/src/qt/res/icons

Thanks.

Version 1.3 is now ready.

This will require you re-sync with the network.

For more advanced users you can shut down the old client, and rename your blk0001.dat to bootstrap.dat and then start up the new 1.3 client. This should cut your conversion time by half.

Please let me know if you have any issues.

More security features.

Downloaded new blockchain from the mega link, I have no balance, but confirmed transactions...

What was your balance before?   Old coins are intact, if you happened to stake a few coins on the wrong chain those could have been orphaned.

Try restarting the client with -rescan option

Or try more aggressive -salvagewallet

HBN will no longer open

ADT wallet is now fixed. Thanks!

Glad to hear your ADT coins are in-tact.

Current version of HBN takes a few minutes to open. The block chain is big.  You can see things are moving along by looking at the task manager and seeing the CPU usage and memory usage increase. Version 1.3 cuts this time in halve as well as the block chain  size.  I suggest waiting until then. I will have full details in a few days.  Just check the HBN thread.

Any other HBN specific question will be fielded in my thread(see sig). Leave this one alone now for ADT.

Good night.

Guys I am off for the night, I'll check back. But I think ADT is back on the road!  Now back to HBN for me.

I'll leave you with this.

My ADT and HBN win QT clients keep closing automatically while syncing blockchains.  This has never happened before, any ideas?

This is not normal I have also not seen this.. What does your debug log say?

The Debug.log files are long, I don't know where to start.  It also has stopped since I posted...figures.  Oh well.

Whenever you have issue, open it, start at the bottom and work your way up. There is usually and ERROR line or something else that may seem out of place.

The only issue I know of is when you bootstrap the blkchain file on init sync. It tends to crash when it is 99% done. but still works.

HBN just closed on me.  I checked the log from the bottom, and it's nothing but this stuff.  ADT closed as well

received block 00000002038e3e24b3cc
SetBestChain: new best=00000002038e3e24b3cc  height=121869  trust=84440696467  date=09/04/13 01:12:29

ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED
received block 00000001d9a4146fe980

I also get these but I'm assuming it's normal
ERROR: CheckProofOfStake() : INFO: read txPrev failed
WARNING: ProcessBlock(): check proof-of-stake failed for block d8d16d539cb69183e10562245be130fd41457ecf260ba0d033cbd6a8504cf491

Yes those are normal while catching up.  Not sure why your client is closing? Perhaps it is a firewall or some other security on your system?

I have the block chains for HBN here http://hobonickels.info/downloads.html

and for ADT I made one here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372734.msg4358133#msg4358133

Follow the instructions for the ADT one, it should work for both.

Now intermittent between 0 and 1 peers.

restart your client so you can hop on the correct blockchain.

What would be the reason for it connecting to the wrong one when I did what everyone else did?

Time difference, since the change was based on time, you and only 1 other peer in your group couldve accepted the PoS. The others would see it as DoS and kick you off.

Some of you may need to start fresh, by downloading the block chain. I am doing that on my other computer, that was on the wrong chain.

My other computer did re-sync all the way up and is now trying to run PoS, but damn the difficulty is high..

"proof-of-stake" : 9.86665835,

This is a good thing!

thanks for you work

You are one the right chain.

As far as Cryptsy. They need to get the new client and re-sync with the block chain, it should send out all pending transactions. Or at least credit them back to you. You will have to take that up with them.
