Have you tried -rescan or -salvagewallet to see if the coins could be found?

Looks like we rolled back a few hundred blocks. 27 hours till old peers are forcibly removed.
Reminder please do not run stake yet. And you MUST upgrade now

So I assume you don't own this address? LMEvStavc3PhDDerMQhy46VvZs49d7JU29
Were ALL of your coins sent?

Mined on coinex the days before 31 oct (or so, there is no useful log/info for users on coinex, and now delisted as minable.. very surprisingly.. ), so sent from coinex not to
Ahh ok well some of those were orphaned, although most assuredly not them all. I think coinex is waiting until the all clear is sent, before re-running the mining pool. . For now just run your wallet on the newest version and hang tight, after we are in good shape I'll see if I can send you a few hObOs to make up for the loss. Thanks!

Quick question :
Am I right on track ?
"version" : "v1.2.1.4-geb597e5-hobo", "protocolversion" : 70002, "blocks" : 293798, "moneysupply" : 1422638.08079000, "connections" : 21, "wallets" : 1, "proxy" : "", "ip" : "82.176.*.* "difficulty" : 0.07796764, "testnet" : false, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Redownload Blockchain. If warning persist contact the Development Team"
Yes you are correct. Just hang tight, and soon(day or 2) we can release stake. The Warning will go away after I start pushing checkpoints.

How many forks are there of this now? there even is a correct one? http://hobo.gets-it.net/ is correct? http://www.coinchoose.com/ ? I got block in wallet (v1.2.1.3-gb3d0643-hobo) 288858 guess it's wrong, but really don't have a clue.. the joy of broken cryptocoins.. I think coinex is having issues as well separate of the HBNs. As long as those coins were not mined recently and rolled back, they should make their way to coinex, as your wallet should re-broadcast when it sees they were orphaned. Do you have confirmations? did reset blockchain again, but didnt have any confirmations (but think there where yesterday, but might have been runing too old wallet).. so I guess whenever coinex fix there shit i get it back in the balance Well thats not the case, these are still lost: Status: 0/unconfirmed Date: 31 Oct 2013 23:29 From: unknown To: F2ioe5mkjNQkmBdJrj7GtzhNkiNiojCk1B (own address, label: coinex.pw) Credit: 1304.208984 HOBO Net amount: +1304.208984 HOBO Transaction ID: 7cdd707eb88c995b83ac0749b06a4eb7747c8bcf2abc8e1c1b30794cdf152637 These are not im my wallet nor on coinex.. Please download the newest wallet 1.2.1.4 and start the client with -salvagewallet. Also where and when do you get those coins you sent to coinex? Were they mined, what was the age?

Updated and synced... all is well.
A new beginning for HBN... hopefully ppl are paying attention and we will not have many lagging.
Yes I hope so. all of their old coins would still be save, but after cut off time, newly mined coins will be un-useable

CoinEX updated to 1.2.1.4, and we're getting alot of those messages in our debug.log: ERROR: mempool transaction missing input
Yes, shutdown/restart may fix it, if not -salvagewallet has worked for me. It is orphaned records trying to find a home

Thanks all I appreciate the quick response.

I have sent out an alert for those mining on the wrong version. Hopefully this gets people's attention!

Am getting quite a bit of rejects. 13 out of 16 are "Generated but not accepted"
Rejects or orphans? Orphans are still high right now. Once we all get on 1.2.1.4, and the auto checkpoints start that should go down considerably
|
|
|
Updating to 1.2.1.4 now. Still put stake reserve in? or ok to try?
Yes please put on reserve until after we get past the cutoff time Nov 4 23:00 GMT I will begin issuing auto checkpoints. Soon after I confirm they and some test stake are working I will put the word out to release the hounds Thanks for the quick update!

Hey everyone. Sorry to do this to you. But I was doing a code review with another person and we found an issue with 1.2.1.3. With the fix to the int64 to cbignum the reward would've started giving 1000% percent interest! YIKES! It could've been another CENTS. We have caught it in time but now I need your help to make sure we are all on the same chain come Nov 4 23:00 GMT. Less then 40 hours from now! So please upgrade right away! Here are the links. I am sending out alerts and PMs to all who have been in this thread. Please start client with -reservebalance=999999 until further notice. Current Client Found Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303749.msg3251165#msg3251165Edit: If you are seeing this for the first time after Nov 4th, you need to do the following: 1) Stop your client 2) Remove the following 3 files from your %appdata%/HoboNickels Directory ( blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat and database directory) 3) Start client with -salvagewallet 4) Wait for client to sync. If you mined or staked after Nov 4th 23:00 GMT those coins will be no good. All coins had before that time are safe and should show up after you are sync'd. Thanks.

Great. Updated the client now all my nickels are gone.
Did you delete your wallet.dat?! The only coins you should lose would be those that were minned then rolled back. But that was happening old or new. I have upgraded many computers and not lost any coins. Wallet.dat was backuped, the coins in it (65) were mined the past few days indeed. Bad luck I guess, shit happens. I will send you the missing 65. Yes right now mining is risky with the block chain roll backs. As soon as all old peers are kicked off (Nov 4th) I will begin issuing checkpoints, this with the new code shoud stop the roll backs. Thanks!

I'm still stuck on how y'all think altcoins create wealth. I don't see any of them being any easier to transact than Bitcoin.
I'll try to keep this short. I believe BTC protocol creates wealth because of the value it adds to the system. It allows for fast and cheap transfers world wide. It prevents a central authority from destroying the currency at it own whims. It is a store of wealth. Any of these things can be done with other services or instruments; PayPal, Gold, fiat. BTC just does it better. Now enter Alts. If the alt adds nothing new to BTC it adds very little value. It does add some value, as it allows for the acquisition of BTC, from some other means, other then buying or mining BTC directly. Both of which can be difficult and expensive. Alt Coins that add new features to BTC, add true wealth. Example Proof of Stake, which now allows for much higher energy efficiency of inflating a crypto. A big issue for BTC. Obviously some of these features could be added BTC, some maybe can not. In short I think alt coins are a mixed bag. Creating one simply to pump and dump, is damaging to the system, but hey it is a free market. Creating ones to improve and enhance BTC is a good thing! IMHO...
