1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: February 16, 2023, 12:56:14 PM
Up until now I have not really thought about getting involved with XRP however have been doing more research and if they win the case feel it could really do well.

With a market cap of $21m already, how high can this really go if all goes well?

Think I may start to DCA into it and if it does win the case then who knows how high it can go, wouldn’t be surprised if it still did a 15x or more from current price.

Are you for or against XRP?
Maybe I was wrong in ignoring their issue against the SEC but it looks like it was becoming a dead issue since it was been many years past and it was not yet over. I think the SEC may give up and sue scam coins rather than spend their time in XRP.
But I would say to you OP that investing in XRP is too risky from their situation. It is not profitable I see compared to other altcoins so never spend a lot of money on this project. If I were you, spend more on Bitcoins or BNB, or ETH, as they are definitely worth to invest and are more secured investments.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: February 15, 2023, 09:45:40 PM
Yes, some pay and some don't, so you have to do a lot of research to find out which projects are reliable.
Some pays shitcoins and still useless.

In general, Telegram channels are full of scams and trolls, so you should be careful and it is better to stay away from them.

There are a lot of reliable bounty here in the bounty section of the forum, they always pay out. This is better than telegram channels which have a lot of spam.
I have no trust in telegram because we are not sure who is talking to us either a scammer or the real owner of the account. This platform become a medium to huge scam event in the market.
If we are joining bounties, we better not expect a lot nor expect money because it was very unfortunate and seems hopeless to get valuable coins that we can able to sell in good exchanges.
1023  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 15, 2023, 09:20:16 PM
Crypto investment alone can't fully provide us with financial freedom but at least this could help us to improve our finances a little bit. So, if we think about getting rich from here, I'm not saying it was impossible but it probably will take many many years before it happens. In order to have financial freedom, we much urge ourselves to acquire more investments, we need more sacrifices to get there. But if we don't have the courage to risk more money and become patient, this is just a dream, and no way to reach it.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 15, 2023, 11:54:56 AM
But there is a title eliminator first, which means that Donaire will be in a waiting period before he knows who will be his opponent for the WBC vacant belt. But the thing is that he is assured of a title shot already based on his ranking from WBC.
That's a very positive for him. He can use his time now to stay in condition and train more so he will be 100% fit when there's a fight for him. At his age, he may be considered old, but he is still waiting for another shot at becoming a champion again. I guess he will stay in this division. If he can retire as a champion, then good for him, but if not, then that's alright, as he has already achieved a lot in his career.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 15, 2023, 11:00:15 AM
Waiting to see if Inoue will make an addition to his belt or if how Fulton will defend this division and add good hypes
to his name.
Just like how Bivol can pull an upset against Canelo, many people including me now respecting Bivol Grin

But I think it's really different to compare Canelo and Inoue, when Canelo fight with GGG it's really close, while Inoue is really dominated against all champions. Despite Fulton not a popular boxer, but he have undefeated record and have fought many good boxers, so I just hope the fight would be interesting and the result would be different with majority of people predictions Grin

Yes, we wish it will be as close as we wanted to see and Fulton going on a full distance against the Monster. But we have seen our the likes of Donaire and Butler fall from Inoue's power punches. He you could say that he dominated everyone in this division he beat the majority by KO/TKO, only Donaire last 12 rounds in the final of WBSS tournament, but we can see how tough Inoue is, still goes to win despite Nonito breaking his orbital bone. And once it healed they go on a rematch and we all know how that fight turns out.

I don't mind if this fight ends quickly or goes the distance, as long as it's entertaining. In Inoue's last fight, which was the undisputed fight with Butler, it went the distance, but we didn't enjoy it because it was a boring fight until Inoue caught Butler and knocked him out
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 14, 2023, 01:14:15 PM
He asked me why not just leave the coin on Binance so that when ever he wants to sell it, he can just use the same method; that's when I brought to his notice "Not your key, not your coin," and he was convinced.
That's a good explanation of the question. Storing assets such as Bitcoin in exchange wallets is highly discouraged by various considerations that can make assets disappear without a guarantee. What's worse is that assets can be frozen despite the stability of the coins stored.
Continue to convey various knowledge about Bitcoin to anyone who is deemed necessary to explain including how to keep Bitcoin safe.
It could be their choice but yes, we have to educate them about the risk of storing our funds on the exchange because even if it was a known and reputable exchange like Binance, we can't assure that our money is safe from possible hacks and not even sure if they will refund if that will happen. Considering this situation, we better secure it with our controlled wallet which I think was safer than we keep on an exchange wallet.
1027  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 14, 2023, 12:51:26 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
Think about your priorities first before planning to put your extra money into an investment. I know it was your desire to invest and make some earnings while studying but in the case today, I think you should focus on your studies first and make prepare for future expenses so you don't need to ask your parents for money. Saving is not a waste of time because we have the purpose of dong this. In fact, as a student we have been encourage to make this as a habit. We can start investing if we already have enough savings so no matter what will happen to that, we still have money left.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 11:23:02 AM

Both still doing the adjustment and with these 2 consecutive losses, it might need for coach Kidd to call them out and find the better
system that will going to fit for both stars.
They should figure out how to win soon, otherwise they will continue to slide down which is not good for their playoffs chance.
Dallas now down to rank 5 with 31-28 record, still good though as it's about .500, but the competition is very high in the west, so every win matters.

Kyrie already played with other stars and with the way he loves the game professionally, I can
say that he can adjust to how to help Luka.

It's a matter of time and playing together to build and established good chemistries between them
while the season is still ongoing.

Kyrie did play with other stars because he has been traded several times, but Luka, it's his first time playing wih a real superstar.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 14, 2023, 10:51:28 AM

I don't want to sound ignorant with how other's are seeing the outcome but it already done and like what I mentioned before
nothing we can do about it, we need to move forward and let this one go.

Right, we need to move forward because tomorrow there are games, and focus is very important so we will make a correct guess on what team will win.

TNT (1.10) vs Blackwater (5.80) , by the way, TNT has a new import, so might as well risk on this one/ Grin
SMB (1.10) vs Northport (6.00)
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 13, 2023, 10:30:37 AM
It's more of a comeback fight and he should be showing us that he is ready for the big time show. Unfortunately, many of us see a different Thurman and made us conclude that he is no longer in his prime or somewhat getting old.
Every boxer sometimes have a not-so-satisfying performance, but we also have to remember that Errol Spence also struggle against an opponent, and that is against Porter when he only won via split decision, many of us think it's because of the injury he committed during a car crashed that's why he is not 100% yet, so it's the same story here. To stop this speculation, I think this fight should happen soon.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 13, 2023, 09:28:58 AM
Where are the Patrick Beverley fans at? There's bad news about him as he's been waived by the Orlando Magic.

Actually, that's not bad news since that was already expected, therefore he's expected it too.

There are teams already that show interest in doing a buyout to acquire him.

As far as rumors are concerned, some teams that might be involved are Mavericks or going back to Clippers, or Timberwolves.
That's good to hear if there will be another team that will buy him out.
I'd love to see him back the Clippers as currently, the Clippers need someone who can bring energy on the court.
Still remember the last time when Leonard was injured but the Clippers still managed to reach the WCF, it's their first time actually, and have you known that Beverly has done a big part in that success?
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: February 10, 2023, 08:50:34 AM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
I think you need to learn more about NFT and study their performance. I know it was indeed to have a good start but the trend has changed it is getting worse day by day. If you plan to invest in lowered-priced NFTs, then I would say that you are also wanting to lose your money with them. You are saying that you only have a limited budget and it was not a problem, you can buy potential coins with the use of the DCA strategy. Stop looking for cheap coins because it shows that these coins have no market value and investors are rejected them already, How to make fortune with them? Nothing...
1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 10, 2023, 08:14:27 AM
Since the year started with a good results by moving from $20k to $24k this year, show that the price of BTC and crypto will move higher to satisfy investors soon. Now that the month is moving faster and investors need to think faster so that they will not miss their reward at the end of the year. The price of BTC just drop down to $22k few days ago, which is another opportunity for those that missed last year not to invest in a stable coins to do it now because, the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
Are you sure investors will experience $80 this year?
It is something we need to think also that the price of Bitcoin can't move that fast like a race.
We can be optimistic in the future and remain bullish but I guess we must know that the recovery is not fast. The price of Bitcoin is still not getting far away from $20k and the market still bearish. What would be our basis or something that would influence the price to pump high? I'm also optimistic about the future of Bitcoin but in this current situation, "that is impossible".
1034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 09, 2023, 09:48:29 PM
Newbies must know the volatile nature of the market so they won't wonder why the price will move up and down.
And most of all they have to:
 * continue learning
 * never underestimate the market or make it too easy
 * they must prepare to accept losses
 * Don't rush to succeed - must extend patience as it surely comes
 * must learn TA and chart reading

So many things that a newbie must know but it never makes sense if we never do it in actuality. In order to reach our goal and succeed, a newbie must have the courage to trade and never be afraid to lose as it was a part of learning.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 09, 2023, 08:55:37 PM
Well, I'd never see or even think that USDT can't be trusted but yes, we also have to consider the level of trust and it can be applied in all stablecoins, not only for USDT. For many negative issues that happen to stablecoins, we can't just simply remove our fear and think that this might happen to USDT anytime. I'm also using USDT when moving my coins to our local currency and it just took a few minutes to finish that is why I don't have any worries about using it as I'd never hold this for too long.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 09, 2023, 12:07:43 PM
However, we can say that Thurman didn't really perform well against Barrios, everyone is expecting that he will come back strong and make a statement win. Barrios is not even a legitimate 147 lbs, he just move up in weight but Thurman just win by the judges decision.

And now he is going to fight the best of the welterweight but going up in super welterweight.
Yes, it was an ugly win as we are expecting he will come back strong, like winning via KO. Well, I guess Thurman has learned his lesson, he doesn't want to be too complacent, it's enough for him to win via decision than loses control and make mistakes that will lead to another L. His comeback may not that impressive, but a win is a win, and that's the reason why he is here given a shot to beat Spence.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 09, 2023, 11:23:11 AM

The Warriors has lost the game against the Blazers but you're quite lucky because you're betting on a +3.5 handicap and which covered the spread as the gap was only 3 points.

Same with what happen to my bet, I got the Warriors +4.5 with 1.80 odds. Actually, I was not expecting it will win anymore as the Warriors area already running out of time, good thing Klay Thompson still decided to shot a 3 point shot despite the fact that they have no chance to win the game.

Actually, the Warriors could have won that game, they just have a problem with their shooting in the last 5 minutes of the game. Their 3 point shot is not dropping anymore, probably they run out of bullets because they are shooting pretty well, especially Poole who only miss a few attempts.

It was a high scoring game, if the Blazers weren't shooting well, I think they'll suffer another defeat as the ball movement of the Warriors are better, they just fell short in the end.

Yes, they could've had the game because the Warriors managed to bounce back as they chase the Blazers in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but somehow along the road, they suddenly ran out of fuel and having a bad performance leaving the Blazers an advantage for them to take the lead again. It was a good game though, we owe our win for KT because of that 3-point shot he did that helped us bettors.
The warriors just live and die on their 3-point shooting, when their 3-point shooting was falling, they were so into the game and have even led. Unfortunately, it expires in the end, and suffer defeat. The pre-game spread was +2.5 for the Warriors, lucky for you that you get it on live.

Still the Warriors road record is not good, it's actually the opposite of their home record, so following the trend, you'll know which side is safe.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 08, 2023, 09:43:04 PM
You don't need to pay attention to any coin ads from famous people on Twitter at all. This is their business, they make money on it, luring naive investors to buy this or that project. They make money, while investors lose their money. Very often these Influencers advertise all sorts of gaming projects, NFTs or memcoins. All this is not worth your attention and money. These are all garbage projects that will never bring good profits to their investors. Only to those who bought before the appearance of such advertising from a known account.
This is another dirty tactic of the scammers, they are using social media platforms and known names to fulfill their plan as they know that it could easily encourage new investors to invest in their worthless project. Yes, they are just seeking for their success and their concern now is how to make money without thinking about what it cost the investors.

I think we need space from social media and not listen to them when talking about cryptocurrency. In fact, I consider social media not a reliable source of information.
1039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 08, 2023, 09:29:17 PM
Trading is an addictive activity too for anyone who wonders how it can be called as an addicition cause most common traders are doing trading alone from their home and when they go hard at it they forget everything and immerse into the trading alone which can affect their mental stability by too much of stress given to our brain so at some point when we are in loss the things may change into more extreme likely suicidal thoughts even possible because I know even adult gamers tried for losing a game so anything when its done too much its called an addicition.
Addiction is no longer a healthy habit. Yes, many people who have been in addiction have also a different behavior maybe this is because they are affected by their new environment and emotional stress. But I don't think it is a need to put them in rehab as what OP is saying like those who are in gambling addiction. I believe this kind of addiction can be relieved through simple processes like encouraging them to go outside and have family bonding or friends hangouts.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 08, 2023, 09:36:32 AM
<>and when Spence will gonna just finish Thurman easily, then there will be no point in him fighting anybody except Crawford.
It's not gonna happen, if Spence even struggle against Porter, I think Thurman is the better fighter than Porter, so in case Spence will win, that should not be an easy fight. In fact, I think Spence is just overrated, he just know how to choose his opponent well to maintain his clean record, but this time, he is wrong in choosing Thurman.
