1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: misconceptions have always been and will always be on: February 07, 2023, 12:01:39 PM
People just started wrongly. Bitcoin is a biggest cryptocurrency and how did they fall into other cryptocurrencies, not into Bitcoin?

Maybe greed is most important reason and I can not get any different solid reason to start with altcoins and be scammed with misleading whitepaper, presentations, tweets and misconceptions.

Because they are greed, always greed and always close their eyes, stay blinded, they will be scammed repeatedly. Even if they read your topics, they will be scammed in future if they won't change themselves.
We can do nothing to the person who is greedy as they are literally blind not to say the truth about worthless projects.
High rewards are somewhat attractive that could influence new investors but they neglect the scam risk and could lose their money in an instant.

What we need I guess is proper education, I'd see this as a very effective way to stop spreading fake news and information about Bitcoin. And this could create clear views for those who are in doubt about Bitcoin as it was too different from what we heard and read online, especially in social media platforms.
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 07, 2023, 11:17:06 AM
Figueroa himself is coming from a successful redemption fight against Castro after he was defeated by Fulton. So he has already recovered his confidence inside the ring. Magsayo has yet to have that.

The pressure here is more on Magsayo, as you have said, it's redemption time for him, so he either win here to have a chance for the belt again, or lose and it will be square one for Mark and his rankings will be affected and might take him a year to get another crack at the champion.

Indeed, Magsayo is facing a lot of pressure now. A fighter's first defeat must be traumatic after having been winning one fight after another for a long time. But I guess it must be harder to keep that defeat out of his mind and make sure it will be a thing of the past already. The stake is high. 2 consecutive losses after being undefeated must be hard to recover from. So this is somehow an all or nothing fight for him. He can't afford the loss of confidence and self-esteem if he is once again defeated this time around.

He must win this fight, otherwise that opportunity will be gone and he'll be having a hard time finding that again. yes, he lose once, maybe he can make his own excuse and try to improve himself, but if he losses again, then that would only tell that he is not really bound to be a big star like Donaire.

True, he is lucky that it does not take long for him to wait for a big fight, now that its here, this is an opportunity to prove that although he is not undefeated anymore, but he can become a champion again. We only have few Filipino boxing champs, so I'm sure Magsayo is now inspired to carry the nation in this fight and will go home bringing the glory.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 07, 2023, 10:47:54 AM
Lebron recently said that he wishes he could have a normal life, go eat a meal somewhere, get a starbucks with his name on it, like regular people, I think he wouldn't even be mad if Kyrie took some attention away from him. And to think that Lebron is not even near the end yet, he could play at least another 2 seasons after this, is beyond logical.

That's the price of being popular, you also lose your freedom like normal people that can do anywhere they want. Lebron will be making a lot of people happy tomorrow if he will break that record, and it's good timing as they are playing on their home court, so probably the arena now is already filled with balloons on the ceiling waiting to drop tomorrow.

Quote
Dude could breach 40k+ points and that would be a shock, as long as he stays healthy, he could break 40k, and that's expected.
The way he is playing now, that is a statement that he is taking care of his body well, and he has more seasons left in his career for sure.
1044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 07, 2023, 10:32:16 AM
Not to ask how as it surely comes soon. Although we can't tell when but reaching $25k is not impossible, in fact, we are very close to it.
After a year in a bearish market, I think that investors are not yet done with their accumulation. This year can be considered as preparation for the bull season which is expected after halving, investors are still filling their bags for more Bitcoin. Though the pumps are slow at least we have some insights that we are leading back high again and it was a motivating factor for the holder to keep hold and wait for the next ATH.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 06, 2023, 11:41:17 AM

So no surprise that Canelo will pick Tank. Tim Bradley picks Garcia, because he hated Tank hehehe.

One of them is right but we will only know right after the fight. Seeing celebrities in the boxing world giving their comments will only make this fight more interesting because it only tells that it's a popular fight and the fact that it's noticed by popular celebrities. Well, for Canelo, it might be something personal, but let's respect his opinion because it will not dictate the fight's outcome.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 06, 2023, 10:53:53 AM
That's true, it's also been said for a long time that he really needs someone's help and there it goes through Kyrie. Hoping for the best of the two, and yes, it's really all about the chemistry because we've seen a team that's full of superstars but yet still didn't take any ring.
Chemistry is the key on their team and let's see how they'll be able to adjust to that and everyone is very optimistic with this addition for the Mavs.
It's a risky move by the Dallas Mavericks but it's worth a try though. By the way, for the information of everyone, Irving's contract will expire in less than a year, so it will give Dallas a huge problem if he will not sign with the Dallas. Well, I don't want to think of the negative possibility, I'm hoping that they'll play well so they have a shot of winning a championship together.
Luka is just getting the probable right help that he needs and that's why Dallas has decided to take him as soon as he's already expressed his desire of getting out of the Nets.
On the other hand, the Nets management has said that KD will stay on them and they're likely to build their roster with a new set of talented players but for how long and how soon enough?  Grin
Durant is not the old Durant who won championships with the Warriors, he became a fragile player now that could be injured anytime, so there's no assurance that even if he will stay the Nets will be a championship team. The thing is, if they rely solely on Durant, what would happen if he'll get injured?

He has good stats this season, but not sure if the impact is still the same compared to when he was still with the Warriors. This guy is really good, he is a hall of Famer but the injury problem is a big hindrance to his success.

https://www.foxsports.com/nba/kevin-durant-player-stats

29.7 PPG
6.7 RPG
5.3 APG

That's  an impressive stats, without him, Nets will really struggle.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 03, 2023, 12:38:36 PM

Right, so all his antics before the fight backfired on him big time. As you can see in his first knockout that he was laughing, which mean he didn't expect that to happen, so in the fight alone, he is mentally affected.

And so after, he was so ashamed and if I'm not mistaken, he went on a hiatus after the fight and he didn't get out in the public because of his embarrassement. Nevertheless he need to resume his career, maybe he was still under contract to PBC so he need to fullfill and fight again. But maybe physically he is fined, but psychologically he might be affected by that big lost to Pacman.

I don't think that gives a bad effect on him, in fact, he was able to give a good fight, he just fell short, in the end, that's why he lose in a close decision fight with Manny. Thurman now has sure learned a lot from his previous lost, and I believe that will make him more dangerous in this fight because he will be well motivated to win to get his popular status again.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be profitable for the business? on: February 03, 2023, 11:15:11 AM
They say it you take the risk of crypto volatility, then why not accept bitcoin payments?
But you have to consider some factors before proceeding with your plans like the legality of Bitcoin in the jurisdiction of the business, the demand from customers for Bitcoin payment options and of course the knowledge of your consumers/ customers about bitcoin payments.

I believe that OP has done the research already and probably he found out that it was legal in their place. But yes, if we think about the demand and people's awareness of accepting Bitcoin, that can be a big challenge for him. It was indeed not profitable for business at this time but I know the demand will increase in the future due to continuous crypto adoption. It really takes time for him to see good results from accepting Bitcoin and he should invest also more in marketing just to spread more awareness to their community that he is accepting Bitcoin.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 03, 2023, 10:51:12 AM
Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.
If we ask how? We have to put those things to the project developers. Maybe having strict crypto regulations could somewhat help to improve the credibility of the incoming projects but this won't give us assurance to have a safe investment. That is why I don't encourage people to invest in new projects for they have been known as scams and worthless projects. In fact, we already have Bitcoin and ETH, and we know their profitability, so I think we don't need to look for another project if we know that we can't find legit and trusted coins.
1050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: February 02, 2023, 09:23:39 PM
I learned to work on my own, and this option seemed to me quite effective. I studied on the demo account of the Amarkets broker, and thanks to this I was able to achieve success, because I have already worked out many situations on the demo account.
Well, everyone has their option and think about which is good for them. It was fine to have someone will teach us about trading because not all things have been taught online, not even in the demo account, it was too far from the actual trading. But at least having someone to guide us while we are still learning could give us a better idea of what we gonna do next, we can take action faster than just relying on what we read and watching only tutorials.
But as I said, that will depend on us personally which one is more effective.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or tokens related to the AI or ML on: February 02, 2023, 08:47:32 PM
https://cryptorank.io/tags/artificial-intelligence

Here you can see a list of such projects. In my opinion, this may turn out to be a new hype in the near future. The topic of artificial intelligence is being actively discussed in the community environment and it may have a certain impact on future projects. It may turn out to be one of the new rapidly developing trends.
This actually gives more interest to the investors and it has also been noticed that once there is another new set of crypto creations, hypes are likely to happen. I expect such a thing as it happens before like in Meta, Defi, NFT, and many others but of course, we also have to be aware of the risk it gives to us, scammers are here to take advantage of the trend that is we should not fall in love with them. However, many people earn from investing in hype projects so it is still expected that many investors will join the party.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 11:32:02 AM

Yeah, he has proven that he can win outside of his native country Japan. But if this one is going to be held in Saitama again, Inoue will have so much confident because he wanted to please the crowd again, just like what he did against Donaire, devastating knockout win.

Perhaps we may want to re-phrase that, chances of Fulton are slim to stop the train hype of the Inoue. Naoya is on a destructive path that we don't know who is going to beat him in 122 lbs.

Fulton is really in a tough challenge here as Inoue will be the crowd favorite despite being the challenger. I can't imagine this fight will end in judges' scorecards as if we follow the trend, Inoue will easily win here via KO. As long as Fulton is willing to go toe to toe, it will not be a boring fight, and of course, he has to suffer a painful defeat as Inoue is such a heavy hitter.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 02, 2023, 11:02:43 AM
I won my first game bet, I got a live bet Phoenix ML when they are down, the odds is 2.00 and I'm happy for it. Now, going to the 2nd game, I think I'm now tempted with the odds of ROS, they are still winless, so I'm expecting that they will play harder to beat the undefeated converge team.
Congratulations, that was an easy win. Northport really cannot be trusted as they don't have their best players, they were leading early but gave up their lead, actually, Phoenix had led as high as 26 points, although in the 4th quarter, Northport had some big run it wasn't enough to make it a close game and give the phoenix a scare.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 01, 2023, 09:41:16 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
Nothing is impossible for a project that really has potential but in this case, Shiba Inu doesn't have it. But it was not how the market works, we can still make a profit in a project that has a low market value. However, choosing Shiba Inu is not a wise choice this time. Not because it was a meme coin but it is because of its low performance after the hype. A project build in the hype and just pumps due to manipulation, that project will never stay long in the market but soon to collapse and die.
1055  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 01, 2023, 09:17:33 PM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.
It actually happens in real life, not to me but to my friend.  However, I understand their sentiments about why they do that because they have no option and many poor people did the same. It is a big mistake to borrow money just to pay for another debt, it becomes continuous, and couldn't get out of it unless you will increase your income. Sometimes we are too blind not to see the other opportunities around us, it is really a need for us to work hard and sacrifice ourselves from buying unnecessary things, instead to prior paying our debts. But if we can't do it, therefore, there is no way we can settle this thing forever.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 01, 2023, 11:04:28 AM

Lebron and AD did play that's why they won the game. Hopefully no one of them will get injured, their coaching staff are just managing their minutes, and give them some rest especially on a back to back game that's why we didn't see Lebron and AD played against the Nets.

They really need this win and some wins in their next games because they are really left behind and they blurring their chance to get their playoff spot due to the result of their games this season. If they don't want to jeopardize their chance, they need to be healthy and continue winning games no matter who will be their opponent is and as we can see in the last game against Boston Celtics, they are really capable of beating them if only not to the cause of blindness of the ref and they were really doing double works because of their rank's situation and they really wanted to gamble in the NBA playoff since they're one of the superteams in the NBA if not only for the injuries.

Still, plenty of games, if they can't make it to the top 6, I'm sure they'll make it to the play-in tournament, and when that happened as long as Davis is healthy, I believe the Lakers have a decent chance of getting to the playoffs. Look at the Warriors and Clippers now, they are behind in standing before but they are already now in the top 5 and top 4 respectively, it's because of the close competition in the West.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 01, 2023, 10:22:58 AM
Hard for me to believe that Lakers won in OT last night. Without LeBron and AD , lakers are really a total different team that can't even fight for playoffs but with them in the court , everything changes for Lakers.

Also , with this W from last night , their chances to catch playoffs are once again in their hands but still , if AD or Lebron will miss some games due to injuries , I'm afraid Lakers dream of catching playoffs will be crushed.
Lebron and AD did play that's why they won the game. Hopefully no one of them will get injured, their coaching staff are just managing their minutes, and give them some rest especially on a back to back game that's why we didn't see Lebron and AD played against the Nets.

Sad for Bulls too , as my team simply doesn't have the same chemistry between players like they had last year and I think it's all to LaVine as even last night he had a poor performance.

I disagree with that because Bulls were able to play competitive basketball against the Clippers, it was a close game and they could win that game if they made a perfect execution in the last minutes of the game.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: January 31, 2023, 09:24:01 PM
Well, the truth is that - scammers will always find a way to trick people. They are getting smarter which could trick us if we are new here and most especially, you are a greedy person. Because even though how much we work on spreading scam awareness and their technique if we are also too blind not to see it due to attractive rewards, it still makes no sense. It is not a war between one person or two against these scammers but should also be a war for everyone who is here. We can't stop them if not all remain too naive not to see how scammers trick us.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 31, 2023, 08:52:05 PM
Yes, I'm still capable of holding a bitcoin for a perfect time for bitcoin to move on due to the way I'm thinking, I don't rush for everything, although I know the bitcoin aspect so it is my choice to do what I want and I am seeing that the bitcoin price is getting interested a little bit, just can't wait for a perfect time to release it, success to my fellow holders and my fellow members.
You actually have the courage and faith in Bitcoin. A long-term holder couldn't be easily affected by what it happens around you because a person like you is totally aiming for the next Bullrun, such a perfect time to sell though.

However, I don't hate those people who are selling their Bitcoin this time because I feel the needs of these people as well. Those who are not ready yet to embrace as a holder will fall into a life as trader. Some are very certain about Buy Low and Sell High, they no longer hold if they see a profit already.
