1181  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN]FortuneJack.com| Signature Campaign | Sr. Members+ ~ Earn up to $100/Week! on: February 04, 2023, 11:47:18 AM
What do you think about several user apply in FortuneJack signature campaign and they have active on current campaign, how come some of them not respect and loyal with their current active campaign?. Possibility give them chance for joining here?
Hi @Panglima Perang,
Sorry if I have to give a few simple answers to the questions you asked, although ignoring this one is also better. But because I see that you are still very newbie, I will give you a little understanding.

You need to know that this is not the place for discussion or exchange of opinions because this is a campaign thread which basically does not need to be littered with discussions that are not important. The answer to your question is NO PROBLEM WITH THE ACTIVE CAMPAIGN THEY ARE FOLLOWING NOW.

Because campaign participants are not required to be loyal to the campaign they are participating in even though they have to follow the rules in the campaign. Because everyone is free to move freely to other campaigns without having to ask permission from the manager of the campaign they are currently following.
So try to discuss elsewhere with more weighty questions so you can get more knowledge for yourself.
Seconded, I know it's better to just leave it as it is but it's just appalling to have someone call us out over a very normal and acceptable action.

There are several reasons why we would like to switch campaigns, it's mostly the pay, but whatever happens I think I speak for everyone when I say we have the basic human decency to tell campaign managers when we're switching campaigns. So they don't have to scramble spreadsheets.

I hope along the way you gain more knowledge about how things work in this forum. For now, take these statements at face value.
1182  Economy / Services / Re: [Temp END] HUNNYPLAY Signature Campaign | Up-to $2.40 per post on: February 03, 2023, 09:18:37 PM
Post count for Week#9 is done. You can remove signature and avatar if you want.

I am waiting for an exchange to receive BTC to pay. Once I find someone to get the BTC in exchange of the USDT which we have in the escrow address, I will make the payment. Please allow me 24 hours.

HunnyPlay signature campaign is on a Temp END. The management team will be working on to add BTC in their system and other required update which they are working on. They are interested to relaunch the campaign after few weeks. Let's hope they had very good time with us and join us again.

Thanks HunnyPlay team (HunnyFinance) and thank you all. It was a pleasure working with you. Please make hunnyplay.com your home for gambling.

I will appreciate if you leave a review on my service page of the experience you have working with me, please make it bold and honest.

Cheers,

I would like to ask, upon relaunch of this campaign, do people need to reapply, and will old campaign members be given privileges again?
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: February 03, 2023, 08:05:50 PM
I got a little discouraged following FTX's collaps and with it bitcoins so before everything went in shambles I immediately sold all of my holdings. I still have a few that I use for gambling but most of what I own in crypto are now cashed out and saved. One thing that you should know when you hold bitcoins is that you shouldn't give in to the pressure of the people around you to hold coins. If you think you wouldn't be able to afford tanking any loss then fuck what those people say against you. It's your money and will be your loss only, not them. When things simmer down cash back in. There's no rule book that says you should remain diamond hands on bitcoin even if you start having stomach problems from all the packet ramen you've been eating coz most of your holdings are lost in the bear market.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin limitation on: February 03, 2023, 06:28:37 PM
This is not a limitation of Bitcoin but rather your current situation. You shouldn’t push yourself to learn Bitcoin if you are on the secluded area away from the internet. Investing Bitcoin is not a must if your current situation is not suitable for it. What’s your main goal on studying Bitcoin? To become developer or investors? Because you can buy and hold Bitcoin by just traveling on your capital to buy and store it in your wallet to hold. It doesn’t need to be check most of the time if your main goal is just to invest.

You can also download all the ebooks related to Bitcoin then study offline in your island.
Honestly, I think he should. He's clearly capable if not only for the fact that he doesn't have consistent running electricity. Generators like that do not come cheap so I guess he can stand to dedicate a few hours of his time and his life learning about bitcoin, so that when he moves to a more industrialized area, he wouldn't be as misinformed that much. I think he's inspiring to say the least, and to shut down a dream like that just because of his circumstance instead of giving him moral support is a little bit cruel don't you think?
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On Ordinals: Where do you stand? on: February 02, 2023, 03:04:32 PM
Honestly, I am very impartial on which one's making sense and who's right. On one hand, Ordinals and their supporters have a point. At this point in time there's no use appealing to what Satoshi would've wanted for bitcoin. The project is bigger than him now and is already self-serving, so I don't think any of his opinions matter at this point. On the other, I can see this causing problems in the long run, they won't be the last project that's going to run in the bitcoin blockchain, thus this may cause issues down the line in the matters of transaction processes.

Purists do not have a say in this. They are clowns at most.

1187  Economy / Services / Re: yahoo62278 Campaign Management services(Available) on: February 01, 2023, 06:36:59 PM
Worked under Yahoo's supervision as my campaign manager, I only have two words to say for him. He's superb and a must-have manager for projects.

He is very passionate with steering proper audiences to the projects he manage and that shows, unlike some managers here who pick favorites and sometimes even include members that aren't qualified just because, yahoo right here made sure that all of his campaigns are successful and funds are escrowed too.

Yahoo is a good campaign manager, great even. So if you want to have a successful campaign here at bitcointalk, you know who to contact.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 31, 2023, 12:53:12 AM
I remember watching videos of people participating in those matches where they exchange slaps and wait for someone to be knocked out.

I just Googled this and found this:
https://www.powerslap.com/

It's amazing how it looks like, and this made me interested in watching it.

You could also join if you want  Shocked
https://www.powerslap.com/#about

Really interesting fights though. I like the part of the site where it shows the W-L records.
They treat the sport with the same level of seriousness and regard as other contact sports of the same genre, which is good because you don't get CTE and other head trauma that may debilitate you for the rest of your retirement life to be laughed at because you joined a slapping competition.

Props to Dana for treating this as if it's a real sport, thus way fighters are bound to get better treatment and care from professionals, as well as extra pay for their hard work.
1189  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do gamers hate crypto games? on: January 29, 2023, 10:03:15 PM
Most streamers despise cryptocurrency for a couple of things. Wintrading and scamlinks for instance are where most of their hatred is seated. Wintrading is the act of deliberately throwing your game for the promise of benefit from a player from the enemy team, most of the time this comes in the form of monetary compensation and crypto is one of the biggest payment channels these wintraders abuse, due to anonymity and other reasons. Scamlinks from crypto scams also litter their viewer chats way back then from bots who send links in waves. This has been effectively solved now but the impact it made in the streaming industry made it so that almost all streamers automatically hate anything that involves crypto.
1190  Other / Off-topic / Re: White Card entered in Football !!! on: January 26, 2023, 03:34:30 PM
Since this is a pretty novel rule addition in the Football's long list of already very strict rule. It's a breath of fresh air that incentivizes good behavior within the field. For now, the medical staff that took care of that unwell fan got it, I would like to see how this sits well when an athlete gets it someday, as of this moment we don't even know what the white card really does, it just shows that the umpire kind of recognized the good behavior, or at least if someone already knows what it does within the field then please inform me.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: A True Leader With Economic Vision. on: January 23, 2023, 05:50:44 PM
For me, what sets a regular "Boss" from a "True Leader" is how he sees growth. A boss will see growth in numbers, be it profits, be it performance, or anything else that is countable and can be calculated through metrics and such. A true leader will go beyond this and see growth as progress. He'd appreciate how far his enterprise and his employees have gone to, and would do anything in his power to maintain this kind of drive within the company. But if you wouldn't mind me asking, who the hell is Dennis Jarvis? I see that he's affiliated in some way to bitcoin but as far as I know and correct me if I'm wrong with this, bitcoin doesn't have a central organization that leads its choices and paths.
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Crypto Recovery on: January 22, 2023, 07:54:47 PM
Loss of asset through account lockouts have been a very pressing issue within this industry since time immemorial. An estimated 23% of the whole 21 million supply of bitcoins have been lost over time, which by today's price would be around $100 billion. And we can't forget about that software engineer who is down to the last 2 attempts to his IronKey before it totally shuts itself off, so no wonder there's a market for this type of issues.

Just about today I stumbled upon an article that talks about Crypto Recovery, pioneered by a father and son duo, who are both adept at tech (obviously). Apparently, they offer services to help recover passwords to your bitcoin wallets should you ever come to need one. In any case, no user testimonials have been given out, so the credibility of this service is still in question, at least for me.

So what do you guys think, will a feature like this be possible? At least before quantum computers become ubiquitous? What are your thoughts about this?

1193  Economy / Economics / Re: The Growth of cryptocurrency over foreign currency. on: January 19, 2023, 09:10:48 PM
I don't think it's fair to compare fiat's valuation over cryptocurrencies. For one, cryptocurrencies are being used not only as transaction material, but also as a store of value. So most of its valuation will depend on the fact that it is scarce. On the other hand, fiat is made to be spent and circulated, which is why more will be printed over time, effectively diminishing its value. This rolls down to the next reason why it's not fair to compare the two. Fiat is inflationary. Meaning its value will diminish over time due to economic struggles, overprinting, the whole shebang, whilst cryptocurrencies, at least most of them, will remain deflationary. Wherein some of them like bitcoin. are halving their total circulating supplies over time to preserve and pump its value. Fiats do not have this type of feature and it doesn't need it either, because it is meant to be spent, not to be saved.
1194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on: January 19, 2023, 08:17:19 PM
It's not creating new bitcoins. When you mine for gold, you don't create gold amongst the rocks and rubble that you tear down. You discover them and release said gold ores from the dirt and rocks that it is stuck with. The same can be said for bitcoin. When you mine bitcoin, you mine amongst the codes where bitcoins could be found and calculations are made by your system to fulfill this. Which is why the more powerful your rig is, the more potent it could become with mining bitcoins.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bloody Year 2022 coming to End on: January 18, 2023, 08:02:51 PM
I think regardless of whether the year was bloody for bitcoin (Which it is), bitcoin is still deemed to recover due to its cyclical nature for profit. There's a plethora of reasons as to why this is the case but all of it is really pegged on the fact that bitcoin's total circulating supply is slashed midway (we call it the halving) every 4 years or something, which pumps the value of the coin drastically by means of scarcity. The next halving wouldn't happen til 2024 though, so as of now I am not really confident that bitcoin will rally upwards this year, unless something monumental were to happen.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoin awareness for easy adoption in my locality on: January 18, 2023, 04:55:34 PM
This is actually great. Information campaigns about bitcoin and how they can make the most out of the technology besides how profitable it could be is more than enough to ensure that a handful of people from your local will switch. It came in great timing too that your Mrs. Sharon came to you asking for advice (I guess) on how she can maximize her profits amidst the high transfer fees and the pressing bylaws that her bank is giving her. What I would highly suggest you include in your seminar, if you haven't yet is how to setup wallets and stuff that would allow them to own and transfer bitcoin so the change is made seamless for them.
1197  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: January 16, 2023, 09:27:29 PM
Primarily being more smart with how I spend my money. I have only been financially literate recently and looking back I regret spending more than what I am capable of just to look nice, or look rich amongst my peers so I don't get the eyes. Budgeting is king, and investing is the best way you can make sure your money stays valuable even when shit hits the fan. I sure hope I knew about these things back then but better late than never I guess. Right now, at a capably-paying job, I'm able to live within my means, stay fit because I don't have to spend so much money on food, only what I can eat and afford, and most importantly able to invest a good percent of what I earn which I know will pay me dividends in the future.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 16, 2023, 08:32:52 PM
The key to success in investing with bitcoins, or investing in anything really, is not playing with money you don't own yet. Say for example, bitcoin is in a good trend, and you find yourself already thinking of ways to spend or invest the money. That is fine, but if it comes to a point that you are already depending on the existence of such cashflow despite it not even materializing yet, then that's gonna cause problems for you. You have to make do of what you have right now, or find means to increase your capabilities, but never ever play with money that is yet to come, especially with investing, because things may go south at a moment's glance and you wouldn't be able to do anything to prevent it.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 16, 2023, 07:43:55 PM
That is one good example of turning a liability, which in this case is your old motorbike, to an asset, which you sold for money to invest in bitcoin. The thing is if you kept your motorbike, you may find yourself suddenly eager to customize it and make it so it's on par with the current models, but that will certainly cost you a lot of money, which you could've used to invest into something else. Provided that you have a good and running motorcycle besides the one you sold, I would say you made a great decision investing it, although I wouldn't really suggest blindly investing your money on anything, doesn't have to be always crypto, without researching first and foremost.
1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be banned or stopped by governments on: January 13, 2023, 07:50:12 PM
If governments could ban Bitcoin, they would have done it by now.

Indian government (maybe other also)  say that " to ban cryptocurrency we need global help"
Good luck with that.

The real question is: why are governments so afraid of Bitcoin (AKA money they don't control and can't print)? Think about it, and you'll find the reason why I like Bitcoin.
They did, China for one have completely shut off cryptocurrency usage within their country AFAIK, and everyone who will be found mining or generating cryptocurrencies in their households are subjected to prison or other grave punishments. So yes, they are very much capable of banning usage of bitcoin. Although I must agree with your statement, they need sheer luck and a ton of money and support from all the other countries in order to successfully shut off bitcoin, which is certainly not gonna happen, not when measures are being taken to regulate its usage anyway.
