Logan Paul is a very decent wrestler. I'd probably welcome seeing him wrestle some of the MMA guys, maybe without the striking element, since that's really been his down fall. He doesn't look like someone who particularly enjoyed punching someone in his boxing matches. Although, he gave Floyd a fair go, I'll give him that.

Looking forward to it.  I think there's just a few of us brave souls itt who's willing to get ridiculed for laying out our predictions even if they turn out to be wrong.  Lol.  I know I've made a lot of mistakes.  So I'm sorry if you guys tailed.  I'm not a sharp sports bettor.  I'm just a degen like most of you guys.  Cheesy
Oh yeah, I think I've said before I do it for fun, and I always do stupidly long accumulators which never come in. I don't even consider myself to be half decent at it either. A lot of the time, whoever I go for, the opposite happens, at least it feels like that sometimes Cheesy.

I might be able to get some predictions out for this weekends card, actually. I haven't had a whole lot of time to watch the tape of the fighters, so a lot of the predictions will likely be a shot in the dark. Maybe, with one of my smallest accumulators in a while. Looking to put 2-4 fights on there at the moment.

I think the Nurmagomedov fight, has the potential to catch a lot of those that do bet on the fight in favour of him, simply because of his name. I think it'll be a close fight, and for me personally isn't going to be one of the fights I put on my betting slip.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 24, 2023, 11:35:09 AM
No event this weekend, and next weekend will be the only event I'll be able to watch for a few weeks. Hopefully, it'll be a good one. I was one fight from earning a decent amount last weekend. That always seems the case though, and the annoying bit was I had by submission or decision for Anthony, and he ended the fight via TKO in the third round. So, it was definitely a close one.
24  Other / Meta / Re: Annoyed about a "bad" report, can the mod PM me? on: May 21, 2023, 03:37:03 PM
I handled quite a few of your reports, however I don't recall marking any of them bad. If I did, it was by mistake, however there's no way of checking that on my end. I didn't handle them all though, so quite possibly done by another moderator.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 20, 2023, 03:33:59 PM
This is a horrible night to bet. There's too many close calls for me, including the main event. Anyhow, here's my predictions:

Takashi Sato
Natália Silva
Chase Hooper
Rodrigo Nascimento
Orion Cosce
Viacheslav Borshchev
Diego Ferreira
Joaquin Buckley
Lupita Godinez
Anthony Hernandez
Mackenzie Dern
Vanessa Demopoulos

Joaquin Buckley is definitely a risky one. Although, he will probably have more volume than Fialho, and if that's the case, I think he wins either via TKO or decision, but has the chance to be clipped. Mackenzie Dern all depends on Angela's takedown defense. Anthony Hernandez is probably one of my more confident picks. He has decent wrestling, and submissions. Natália Silva is probably the most confident pick of the night. I like Vanessa here, she has decent submissions, but the only problem is she'll likely get out struck. So, if she can't finish the fight, she probably loses to a decision.

O'Malley probably has a chance in any striking match, somewhat. However, when you add in the takedowns, and other threats he quickly becomes outclassed. Unfortunately, I don't think he has enough variety to his style to actually become champion or anywhere near it. Paddy the baddy is more well rounded, and I think he's going to get found out in the up, and coming match ups. Although, I'll admit I do like Paddy that bit more. He's got a character about him, but just hits home different. He seems a nice lad outside the cage too.

I'm probably going to miss this weekends fights, but I'll see if I can get some predictions out. Looks a good night of fights.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 08, 2023, 01:42:14 PM
From the UFC 288 I would definitely gonna remember Evloev vs Lopes fight (it was his debut fight in UFC). A debut against top10. This fight should be like taking a walk for Evlovev. Howevr Lopes impressed me a lot. Each round Evloev have to survive against triangle, kimura and knee lock. If this wasnt a fight against top10, judges would have given Lopes a victory, or his opponent would tap. He was good at striking also.
The impressive thing is Lopes actually did that on short notice, without a full camp, which might be the reason he gassed so much in the latter two rounds. Yet, he still threatened submissions off of his back. If Evloev wasn't so experienced he would've likely tapped. So, Lopes has risen his stock a lot, and honestly Evloev probably lost a little bit of the hype that was behind him. However, it'll be really telling when we've seen more fights in the UFC with Lopes to really figure out where his ceiling is.

Also, Kron Gracie was a huge disappointment. I'm a massive fan of Ryan Hall so I'm not opposed to that style, but the lack of development Kron showed anywhere, but the ground was just worrying. I don't think he'll be in the UFC much longer. He didn't look particularly good on the ground either.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 07, 2023, 12:12:36 AM
Yeah, there's a ton of underdogs which could win on the main card. I can see why this fight night is a Pay per view since it's absolutely stacked with competitive fights, that could go either way. Anyway, first fight on my betting slip, so we know the routine. I end up losing, and it kills the hype for the rest of the night Cheesy.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2023, 12:10:21 AM
I didn't think I could but after reading your post, I looked into it and if I can prove it was stolen, I can change it!   I'm going to go to Service Canada first thing Monday with my letter and try.  Thanks for prompting me Smiley
That's alright, I was mainly curious. I feel like it should be allowed, if you can prove your social security number has been breached, and not just changing it for another reason, just in case it can be abused by people somehow. I wish you the best of luck.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2023, 11:57:28 AM
I got a letter today telling me the bad news.  Fuck.  They're offering 2 years of identity theft protection services but what good is that when my Social Insurance Number is forever?  I don't have much with Mackenzie but the first thing I do will be to move it out... I'm thinking Bitcoin.
Can you not change your social insurance number? I guess it would be a pain in the arse to change it everywhere, but I'd hope they'd have something in place to secure people who have had their data breached.

32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2023, 11:40:33 AM
Aljamain Sterling
Gilbert Burns
Jéssica Andrade
Movsar Evloev
Charles Jourdain
Drew Dober
Kennedy Nzechukwu
Khaos Williams
Virna Jandiroba
Parker Porter
Ikram Aliskerov
Claudio Ribeiro

There's some tough fights in there, with a lot of knock out power. Phil Hawes obviously being the prime example of that, but I just fancy his opponent a little more due to being more well rounded. Khaos is another one, I think he's got the skill to get it done, but ultimately I've gone with him due to his opponent eating shots like no tomorrow in nearly every fight he has, which you can't really do against someone like Khaos.

I'm fancying Virna just because of the wrestling, and Marina previously struggling against wrestlers or those who can grapple well. Claudio Ribeiro is a massive risk, because he carries his hands very low, and always has the chance of being knocked out himself. Although, he's got good movement which often mitigates the risk.

Charles Jourdain also being a massive risk. If this fight goes to the floor, which I expect Gracie to pull guard a few times in this fight, it could be over quickly. If Jourdain stays on the feet, and resists the temptation to go to the ground, I fancy him in the stand up. It's that classic, fighter IQ question. Gracie has decent stand up, but he does most of his notable work on the mat.

It's a tough night to bet on I'd say. Some good value underdogs though.

Any of you guys backing Muhammad this weekend?  I was thinking Burns last week but I just find it hard to fade Muhammad.  I think he'll have the right game plan just as he did vs Thompson, Sean Brady and Luque.  :/  The line is a close to a coin flip now but could move towards Muhammad's favor imho.
Likewise, I just can't ever go against Burns. No matter who you put him against in the top five, I'll pick Burns. I believe he's one of the most dangerous, as well as most rounded fighters you can get. I personally thought he beat Chimaev, and he most definitely did better than a lot of people were expecting, despite Chimaev being seen as this unstoppable force. Burns gets it done for me, and is probably one of my more confident picks this weekend. However, that doesn't mean much Cheesy.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 29, 2023, 09:41:25 PM
Vieira has definitely had trouble with his gas tank in the past. I vaguely remember him squeezing for a finish a while ago, and then looked exhausted after he didn't get it. I'm sure that was him, but only vaguely remember it. My memory definitely isn't what it used to be Cheesy. I wonder if Vieira will look for the takedowns as soon as possible to avoid the stand up of Cody.

I missed the predictions, but here's my betting slip:

Martin Buday
Horth
Egger
Vieira
Caio Borralho
Ricky Simon
Josh Quinlan

A rather speculative betslip, but I'm feeling confident-ish. Egger is fighting right now, so will probably mess it up as per usual. Not that Egger has messed up my betting slip, but I usually end up losing early in the night Cheesy.

Update: There ya go, Egger loses. It's like clockwork I'm telling you Cheesy.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 27, 2023, 06:50:30 PM
But the thing with Simon is he could be chinny and Yadong has powerrr.  And another thing, who was the last guy to KO Simon?  Yep, it's Faber, Yadong's head coach.  Cheesy
It's almost like the stars have aligned...it's mad because I was quite confident about Simon in this match up despite the power, but I just know how sometimes the universe just lines up perfectly, and it would be very poetic if Song KOed Simon knowing that his coach was the last one to put him out. Thanks for that, doubt. I didn't really need that Cheesy.

Nah, in all seriousness I think it's a fantastic headliner. I don't think we'll be disappointed whatever way it goes.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 26, 2023, 09:30:16 PM
^  Michael Johnson was actually a highly touted prospect back in the day even though his record wasn't that good.  He fought the top guys and had wins over a young Tony Ferguson, Dustin Poirier and Edson Barboza.

Anyway, yeah the next event is not really that good but it's better than the worst events this year imho.  Looking forward in watching Durden vs Johnson, I wanna see Quinlan in there, Borralho vs Oleksiejczuk and the main event.  Curious how Song Yadong fares vs Simon's wrestling.

Ricky is relentless in the wrestling, so if Yadong can't keep it on the feet, he's in for a very long night. Ricky, on the other hand has questions to be asked on the feet. I think it's one of those classic match ups; wrestler vs striker, and it's ultimately going to decide who wins. However, I've learned my lesson far too many times, never doubt a dedicated wrestler to get things done in these tricky matchups.

Anyway, lost my lottery ticket again.  I gotta stop doing these.  Next event I just bet on the guys that I think are gonna win with good value.  Sad
I was one fight off from a few k. A Bellator fight let me down, though. Surprisingly had a good week in the UFC. The one week I add a Bellator fight on to my card, it ends up ruining a win. Anyway, next UFC event looks fairly spicy. I'm liking Simon in this headliner though, don't know about you.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 23, 2023, 03:50:04 PM
Sergei Pavlovich looks the real deal, even defended a few takedown attempts, despite them not being setup by Blaydes. I'm not sure why Blaydes stayed on the feet as long as he did, it was quite clear Sergei Pavlovich was hurting him every single time he was landing. I didn't want to see Curtis lose in that way, but I've got to give it to Pavlovich he's put a real statement on that win.

He looks like the real deal, and can defend wrestlers. Remember, Curtis is one of the best in the division for his wrestling skills. I believe he has the most time on top in control time.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 22, 2023, 03:46:32 PM
Blaydes - Jackson
Add:  Tavares - Green - Marshall
Add:  Lucindo - Rosa
Add:  Semelsberger - Usman
Add:  Hiestand - Giagos
I really like the Blaydes pick, I think most people will be going for Pav. I just don't want to see Curtis get knocked out. I'm hoping he can win with the wrestling. Although, the odds for Blaydes just aren't worth the risk in my opinion. I'll be keeping him off of my betting slip. Lucindo, and Rosa I like. Usman, I like him. Watched him a fair amount, and for the most part he just seems like a nice guy. However, I don't know too much about his opponent, and how much Usman has been training. I have some concerns.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 21, 2023, 11:23:52 PM
I might be in the minority, but I think Burns takes that fight. We've seen how dangerous Burns is, and his only notable losses are against the best in the division. He really tested Chimaev, and honestly I thought he won the fight. He lost against Usman, but actually was looking very dangerous until that jab caught him. If Burns avoided that jab he probably would've won that fight, as that's ultimately all he was having trouble with. I think he's improved since then.

I'm not all that interested in the Korean Zombie vs Max Holloway call out. I think Max wins that quite convincingly. Sadly, Korean Zombie hasn't been the same fighter as he used to be, and you can tell he's aging. Whereas, Max is still relatively fresh for his age. I think it would be too one sided, and ultimately lead to a lot of damage for The Korean Zombie. Pretty easy bet though, if they make the odds at least 1.50 for Max.
