2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 09:58:42 AM
The interest in bitcoin comes with the price, whenever the price increase so does the interest and vice versa.
Most new adopters heard about bitcoin due to the hype in mass media if bitcoin suddenly spike up and they will fell to the bull trap, buy at the ath before it plummets.
Nevertheless, people who aware of bitcoin technology utilization as a medium of exchange or store of value will never left bitcoin even after some crashes.

Yes, after those crashes that went through which eventually pulled down bitcoin price the people tend to learned something valuable because of that experience. They only had that idea of joining the trend of the hype without even thinking the importance of it, if they hold their Bitcoin for so long. Some people may find it not interesting but there were more of them like me who still have strong conviction for bitcoin, even though it's not yet at the maximum level of price; yet the potential is somehow surprising.
It's understandable for a person to leave in bitcoin if he doesn't know how it works.
It is clear that they just joined due to the hype without knowing anything. They have already lost their interest now, but we all bet that if bitcoin will create another ATH, these people will return and repeat what they have done before.
2362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If You Died Tomorrow, What Would Happen To Your Crypto? on: October 21, 2019, 06:12:12 AM
The answer to the question is a bit obvious, it would remain in your wallet, ofcourse, unless, there are other people who knows about private infos of your wallet in order for them to take over of your holdings. Your holdings won't vanish just because the wallet is no longer active, as far as I know. So basically it does depend to the person if he would let other people know about his investments in crypto if ever he would die someday just to be prepared and for investments to not be wasted.
Basically, if the owner dies and his wallet was left inactive, the supply of circulating crypto will decreased. Unless he trusted it to someone else and continue using cryptocurrency as his heir, which is better so someone can benefit from the earned crypto than letting it to put to waste and become inactive forever.
2363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP! I want to invest but don't know which and how. is DigiByte ok? on: October 21, 2019, 04:54:58 AM
You've done a little research but still considering more of other people's opinions than your understanding after that research.
Before investing, always know what investment you should consider.
An investment without proper knowledge will only lead to failure. You should consider your own opinion when it comes to investing and not the opinion coming from other people/investors.

thank you, thats very helpful. I still have a lot more research and consideration before even thinking of buying anything. but thats helpful, I will consider my own opinions too. I guess im too trusting
Do not trust to other people so easily. Not all their words will do good in you especially when it comes to investing.
Most of the time, people use words to attract more investors to hype their investment only to benefit themselves and leaving after you having losses. That is part of their marketing strategy.
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 21, 2019, 03:59:20 AM
I don't think you made a mistake because investing in bitcoin is a very smart choice, you should be able to take advantage of the high price of bitcoin when it is difficult to get bitcoin will definitely buy a lot at expensive prices and you can get a lot of benefits from bitcoin, when investing don't be easy panic and don't sell bitcoin at cheap prices.
Exactly investing in bitcoin is not a mistake, it’s a mistake if we are not totally know how it works and how we gain benefit from it. Why having a doubt in investing in bitcoin? We should know when investing there is a risk and we should be certain about our decision.
Many people are thinking that they made a mistake by investing in bitcoin, this is due to a sudden decrease in the price of bitcoin where we all know that this is a normal situation in the market.
Newbie investors mindset is they can easily make a profit just by investing in it without knowing that it is not instant money, where it is the same as other investment that takes time before making a profit.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Doing This? on: October 21, 2019, 02:53:48 AM
I want to ask all of you, do you share or give very private things (private key, passphrase, password and else) of Bitcoin to your family? I ask like this because I think if something bad happens to us (I personally hope it doesn't happen), it would be better if we pass down all the things from bitcoin that we have to our families. For example, when we have an accident that makes us comatose state (I hope it won't happen) at the hospital and we need medical expenses, it would be better if our wife or children can take money from the bitcoin that we have to use as our medical expenses.

I personally bequeath all my bitcoin knowledge to my family. I told them my bitcoin assets, how I made money from bitcoin, and also told them how to access them. All of this I did so that all of my bitcoin assets could be useful for my family. What about you guys, do you guys do the same with me?
If you want give your private key or password to anyone in your family it's alright choose the people you really trust so your assets will be safe what ever happens. And I think if you give that  to trusted person make it sure they know how to use it. Nothing is wrong if you give to one your family member what your private key like you said it will be helpful to them what ever happens to you in the future.
It is very difficult to transfer a private key even to a family member. In this case, there is no 100% confidence that the money will not disappear from the account. Here's what I don't like about cryptocurrency, that only 1 person should own a private key.

Private key is the most important thing if you own a crypto currency. If you share it with someone or even with your life partner, there is every chance that you might have a bad day with him/her and he /she may misuse your funds. It is very difficult to completely trust anyone and then share the key with your loved one.
If it is someone from your family or your loved ones it shouldn't matter.
Thinking something like they misused your fund will only show that you do not trust them.

But its everyone's decision whether they share any information with anyone or not, if not sharing it to someone close to you will secure your funds then its fine.
2366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you identify a transparent project team? on: October 20, 2019, 05:01:25 PM
The world of cryptoqurrency is very anonymous and this anonymity is not only in forums, communities, transactions, projects, and even the faces of developers & teams. so, there is no really appropriate way to identify them, including identifying through video calls. it is not entirely a guarantee if they are valid. so follow your heart & it's important you make sure that they are the team responsible for some of their previous experiences.
The anonymity does not go for ICOs, every investor has the right to know the team behind the project and If they are not willing to provide information about themselves then they are not fit to be funded. Its disheartening that those with known identity still scam let alone those not opening up. Some top members of this forum are known so this community is not actually anonymous.

Indeed. It is their duty and responsibility to be trusted by people who are interested to invest their project. They need to build trust and transparency so we should know them well not only on their linkedIn but also they need to have AMA, or any live session regarding what they are doing and vision about the project and as much as possible they should attend blockchain events too.
Identifying the real identity of the team project is the first step to gain the trust of their investors. Without giving any information they just make it clear that they are not sincere in developing the project and they will only show the community that they cant be trusted.
A transparent project gives any legal information and updates regarding the whole project to its community, its their responsibility and priority.
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should we do ? on: October 20, 2019, 01:30:30 PM
It has been more than 2 months since this news circulated in India and nothing happened as reported. no one is jailed for bitcoin transactions. I think this news is just a speculation from the government to scare bitcoin holders in India. so my advice is if you remain confident with bitcoin, don't pay attention to this bad news
Manipulating bitcoin's price, it's normal.
The government wanted to hold cryptocurrency into their hands, announcing about banning bitcoin into their country then its price will drop, then they will make a move to become closer to their goal.

This looks like bad news, but we should keep holding onto our coins.
2368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before I Invest With Cryptoqurrency? on: October 20, 2019, 12:35:48 PM
Personally, I can say that you need to invest only in a time-tested cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Since right now in the market, these coins occupy leading positions. And with these coins you can well regulate your income. Since the price of these coins is always changing on the exchange, you can make good money on it. There are many other young coins on the market and it is not known how they will behave in the future. And buying new coins is also a very big risk.
Investing in bitcoin and ethereum doesn't make any difference when you invest in other altcoins. Investing in top altcoins doesn't guarantee your profit.
Any altcoins in the market can give us a profit if we know how to handle the volatility of the market. Investing is not just holding then sell it if its price will rise nor buy top altcoins then you have a guaranteed profit. Proper knowledge is needed to avoid unexpected losses.
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legality effect on: October 20, 2019, 08:54:02 AM
in my country Indonesian bitcoin has been recognized by the government and is very welcomed by crypto fans especially bitcoin, if the legalization of bitcoin in that country even if used as a transaction tool is good news for bitcoin itself apart from increasing bitcoin prices so people know what bitcoin is and the benefits.

Legalizations or regulations of Bitcoin to a specific country doesnt automatically mean the price will increase. Keep in mind that, not everyone is knowledgeable when it comes to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. There's going to be a doubt at first. Plus, people might not get comfortable using Bitcoin as medium for transactions.
I just had a though that were still far from global adoption, how much more when we're talking about global acceptance of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency?
Legalizing bitcoin on a certain country won't increase the price instantly of course but it will surely affect the price of bitcoin slowly plus the incentives that the current country will receive. Like for example opening the eyes of citizens about bitcoin and the full acceptance of blockchain technology in their own country, That's why I believe that the effect of legalization on a certain country will take effect slowly.
Yes, it still has its progress before its price will surge.
Adaption from a certain country won't take effect instantly to bitcoin price, but we can see the changes in its price due to the increase in demand.
It will slowly increase until every individual that got into crypto will invest in it.
2370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have a Dream... on: October 20, 2019, 07:56:16 AM
I support your dream will building lightening network using bitcoin as payment, you have keep build first and have much money to start it. Don't worry about your dreaming because is come true just work hard and take profit with bitcoin and save it for getting your dreaming build lightening network at the future.
That dream will become a reality not only in lightning network but for all potential cryptos. This would be easy and more convenient for transactions. I keep looking forward when the market is doing good though it fluctuates more often. I dream that the market will also be profitable for all other crypto.
This dream is still far away from our touch, it will only happen if mass adoption will begin.
Legalization from other countries to increase the number of end-users will help to boost the development of cryptocurrency. The chances for this dream to happen will depend on how countries will react about cryptocurrency.
2371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 20, 2019, 06:38:43 AM
I guess bitcoin will survived although he is alone, remember the history of the crypto in which bitcoin is just the only one cryptocurrency coin and there is no altcoins nor ripples back then and still bitcoin stand up and survive although it is alone. But now I believe he can still survive alone although the altcoins and the ripple become so down.
There is no such thing in this world that can survive alone.
Altcoins were created because it serves as other functions of bitcoin. It is created to fulfill the flaws of bitcoin.

Altcoins have different functions where bitcoin doesn't have. And vice versa. The demand for crypto cannot reach up to this point if bitcoin is the only crypto we have.
2372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 20, 2019, 05:38:12 AM
my friends lost his coins from offline wallet when he was chatting online on facebook messenger
sure he can't restore his coin
so how can protect offline wallet ?

Securing your private key is the same way of protecting your offline wallet.
If ever you have given it to an unknown person, the chances of losing your assets will be big.

If your friend is somehow given the information about his wallet, maybe that is the reason why he lost his coins even if he is using an offline wallet.
An offline wallet is secured, it can't be hacked that easily unless you give it to others.
2373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teams showing real faces to public can still scam you on: October 20, 2019, 04:28:26 AM
of course its still can, that is no reason to make a project look like it is not a scam, for example ,
if u know project such as keplertek , then sparkster , they showing the real their face on video, telegram, social media, but well, they still scamming people.

Usually people with nothing to lose either someone having a poor background or just straight retarded. Some people are just insane enough to don't care whether their face will appear on so many websites as a scammer. How they usually dont give even a single shit about that usually fascinates me, how can someone could have no shame I mean. However, most of people from developed country more specifically with good education background like graduating from prestige university usually will have too much to lose to do that so that;s why it's always important to look after their curriculum vitae or LinkedIn profile even further.

I have the same sentiment on that because I have personally witnessed one blockchain project with publicly known team members and unfortunately I know them in personal level. Long story short, it turned out the project becomes dead. So you will ask to yourself, where did the money goes? How about the investment of those institutions that believed on them? Are they going to return it? I seriously doubt they will return the money collected. So how can they live their everyday lives that everyone knows they pocketed the money. I think they have no shame at all as you said.

I think they will not return investor money. They have paid themselves a very high salary just to spend investor money. In addition, they have already spent investors' money on various meetings that have no results or can be called a vacation
Returning the investor's money is impossible in that case. Investors face the risk, they know that it might happen.

The team simply wasn't able to handle their project in the right way. The money they have collected had already been used for the project or maybe just to fund themselves.
2374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it help bitcoin if we shift funds to it ? on: October 20, 2019, 03:38:44 AM
We are all aware that the bitcoin is the last hope when the other altcoins including Ethereum are struggling to survive and even bitcoin has not had any massive pump as it's fighting hard to stay on $8,000 despite numerous fluctuations but will it help bitcoin if we just move our funds to bitcoin which we have invested into altcoin as it will increase the demand of bitcoin if everyone can do that as this will literally do what the whales have been doing to increase the price when they want by creating the demand.

it could work if people shift their funds to bitcoin at the same time, but if not. then it will just fail. the reason why whales can influence the price of bitcoin is
that they have such a large quantity of bitcoin that they can pump or dump the price in just one transaction that is why a lot of people believe that whales control the
price because of that.
It will not be bringing any good effect on the market.

Altcoins were created in par with bitcoin. Altcoins won't be converted to fiat, unless you convert it to bitcoin.
If all altcoins were to be converted to bitcoin, it will be considered as trash because no one else will ever be buying it.
2375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: October 02, 2019, 08:34:53 AM
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?
In my opinion that is indeed the right thing. Because over time, cryptocurrency increasingly popular and began to be known by many people so that it can happen. And for new coins now, that might be possible, of course, with several factors that support the development of a project itself, how the team, how about the product and several other things that can support the success and achievement of the desired target.

A change like this is certainly possible but you need to pay attention to what the coin is and what will be in the future. For some reason its current situation may not be good but future innovation can change everything. This is where the team comes in and the change from this point on is their responsibility and accordingly developing a beneficial product will cause it to have an important place in the market.
Possibility will come, cryptocurrency has a high volatility. No wonder one day will come, we will be on shock that there prices are to the moon again.
cryptocurrency will become popular again to everyone in every part of the world.
2376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: September 19, 2018, 06:50:21 PM
I feel keeping our coins in exchanges, mininize the risk of loosing our coins to wallet hackers.
exchanges are not for keeping your coins, there is no people who suggest to anyone to hold their coins in an exchanges. if you are doing trading, its fine, but using an exchange as wallet to store your altcoins, its very risky thing to do.
2377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH recover? on: September 19, 2018, 06:39:18 PM
Hello guys, what do you think about today’s situation with ETH? Will ETH recover, or soon altcoin number 1 is going to disappear?
it will recover. fud's cant stop ethereum to increase when bull run happens. lets just believe in ethereum that it will continue to make a name and continue to become number one altcoin in the market.
ethereum is not a weak crypto, I'm sure it will rise from below.
2378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace bank? on: September 19, 2018, 06:29:01 PM
The current trend of blockchain is very high, couple with it's ability to execute millions transactions within seconds, few transactions cost and no third party is require or paper signing. All transactions recorded and kept open, taking alway cross border and languages barrier, excellent in e commences. So many features to change the world. My emphasis is can blockchain has the capacity to replace bank?
do you know what is blockchain? if not, you should know that blockchain is not a type of storage or an institution like banks, it is a technology. banks are different. blockchain will never replace bank.
2379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: September 19, 2018, 06:19:15 PM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
no, bitcoin is different. you can imagine that there is a crypto being created in the future which is really good, but the it wont replace bitcoin because it cant changed the fact that bitcoin is the first ever crypto in the history. without bitcoin, any other crypto will not be created.
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What actual real world benefits have you seen from altcoins on: September 19, 2018, 06:09:10 PM
Interested to know what actual real world benefits people have seen delivered by altcoins. Personally I have seen a coin that used part of its funding pot to pay for school books for children and sponsor sporting equipment for various schools.

The reason I ask this is that good news stories can be in short supply sometimes and it would be nice to share more about the good that comes from crypto.
there is an altcoin which can be use to upgrade your account to premium user in a certain pornsite. it is a benefit for other people, since they can use their investment to it, funny isn't? but its true.
