1461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 19, 2023, 11:51:03 PM
Let's discuss the unique challenges of responsible gambling in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Crypto gambling can be fun, but it's important to keep our financial boundaries intact.

Share your tips and thoughts on staying responsible in this digital realm.
You can play all you want as long as you've set yourself a limitation, especially in a proper way of allocating your funds in crypto. set an allowance for that so you will not end up losing all of it. Also, do not rely on gambling as your source of income just like what others did. Be responsible, do not be impulsive, or greedy, and control your emotions while playing to prevent unhealthy obsession.
1462  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SPORTBETTING ADVICE ⚽️ on: October 19, 2023, 11:06:41 PM
Almost all punters are aware of these rules, but only few of them follow them religiously. Why? Because the majority go with their gut instead of thinking about rules and end up losing their money again and again.

None of this will ever change because humans are inherently greedy leading to these results. This is what makes casinos stay in business if you think about it.
Yup, everyone is aware on what will be the outcome if they didn't follow the rules and if they have no proper time and Financial management in gambling. However, some participants play just because they've heard to other that there's a big chance of winning, partially that's true but still there's a big possibility of losing money as well. Just control their emotions while playing, being greedy tends to lose all your money.
1463  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 19, 2023, 10:14:42 PM
The fact is that T&C may be just to difficult to understand, so even if they put a KYC first, then you still may be subject to some conditions for the withdrawal that you may not be be happy with. There best way is to check for reputation and go to sites that only use plain English or plain language in general Terms and Conditions. If you cannot understand something, do not sign to it.
Language shouldn't really be a barrier for someone in understanding the terms and conditions when we can very easily use a translation service to translate that to our native language and then read them, it's not that difficult. Google Translate is the easiest way to do that, one should simply copy and paste every single clause from the terms and conditions and use Google Translate to translate it to our native language and then read them one by one.

What I believe the reality is that people are basically too lazy to read them, they don't want to spend their time reading so many rules and regulations and conditions and they just want to rush into the platform, create their account, and get into gambling right away, and they only feel they should have read them later when they might face an issue.
Yeah, that's right. I think Language is not a problem here since there are a lot of resources that may be used in reading and understanding the terms and conditions. Sometimes I have that kind of mentality that I always skip the long T&C and automatically click the I agree part and that's not a good idea more importantly when monetary is involved.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 19, 2023, 04:21:52 PM

Gambling at work is the most disastrous thing one can think of doing.

Imagine gambling at work and during working hours and your superiors gets to find out, it doesn't matter whether or not you just got started that day or you have been there, their assumption is that you don't put in time into your work and you also indulge in unethical engagements at duty, the office can even be into gambling for a service, you will loose your job instantly.
Situations like this may lead to termination. This is why people should know and realize that during working hours, focusing on your work tasks would be the best thing to do. Instead of taking the risk of losing the job, might be better to aim to be one of the top-performing employees at work. Any other activity especially gambling will put your job at risk. Aside from that, imagine if you lose in gambling, the salary you earned that day will only go to gambling.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 19, 2023, 03:55:49 PM
Too many questions yet OP doesn't seem like to be online again. And again, when it comes to transaction like this, since this is a physical item that needs a thorough check with a mechanic engineer, highly recommended is to do the transaction offline, at least the other person is there when transferring money online.

Some people seem to be victims of those who make blind transactions, and they get to trust someone easily. I believe that was just the OP's mistake. He got an advertisement for a product that someone wants to sell online. He liked the product online without even any doubt, and he quickly got convinced since the plate number of the car was visible.

After all, the plate number can be used to track the car, forgetting the fact that someone can just go anywhere and snap any car they want and paste it online without any proper verification. If the seller is truly the owner, anyone can just get scammed if they are not careful enough. I have seen cases like that mostly on the internet more often.
OP made the mistake of trusting the seller so easily. That leaves him to make a rush decision on buying the car. Maybe after seeing the car in pictures, he got excited and immediately made a reservation for the car. There's a possibility that OP did this kind of transaction for the first time, specifically a car, that's why he sends a down payment without even checking the car physically. When purchasing a car or doing any other transaction, better to check the legitimacy of every information that needs to obtain prior to sending money to another party to avoid getting scammed.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: October 19, 2023, 03:34:35 PM
All I can see from this thread is DCA, DCA.

I believe that it would be a great idea to also be nice to add what “lump sum” is all about. Because I can say that at this point 60% of people that comes to beginner and help board, as well as bitcoin discussion board should be aware of what DCA means and also know the benefits that’s attached to it But most of them don’t know what lump sum is, so it would have been nice to include it in the op.
That's because DCA is the most common strategy for Bitcoin accumulation. By investing a fixed amount of money on a regular basis, regardless of the current state of the market. It's a good strategy that makes you disciplined in terms of investing. Unlike in lump sum investment, which is purchasing bitcoin in one go, can cause a high possibility of missing on purchasing at a lower price. Also, lump sum investment is only applicable to those people who do not have the time to check their investments regularly.
1467  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 19, 2023, 01:07:26 PM

For me, parang di appropriate kung pipili between educational plan o Bitcoin kasi in the first place, magkaiba ang purpose technically kaya natin sila kinonsider sa ating mga financial plans.
Tama. Bakit kapa mamimili, kung kaya mo naman na pagsabayin yung educational plan and crypto, then go for it.
Marami pa rin ang nasisilaw sa malaking kitaan kahit pa sabihin na too good to be true.

Lesson learned the hard way ika nga.
Too good to be true talaga yung offer ni Yexel pero dahil nga well known and social media influencer sya, madami agad yung nagtiwala.

1470  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of war, Gold rises. What about Bitcoin? on: October 19, 2023, 11:22:49 AM

Gold is an asset which has been with the humankind since time immemorial, and its value is of no question.
Thus, we can't discard the fact that it is still one of the reliable assets that people want to hold given circumstances.
Bitcoin, is different as it is a digital asset and a very volatile one up until now.
If you are not a risk taker, you won't involved yourself in this market, you will prefer the tangible ones like gold.
Exactly,
If you're not a risk taker you shouldn't  get involved with bitcoin but I always tell people that the peace of mind with it pin comes when you can afford a while fraction of bitcoin which is owning one full bitcoin, because as a believer, ive always wish I can afford one bitcoin  and just be at peace because as long as bitvoin doesn't fall to zero, you're still in business and now imagine buying one bitcoin at the current market price and letting it grow to an an all time new price, that's cool profit without stress.

I've also been on the opinion  not to compare bitcoin, gold or even land and I once compared land and bitcoin but frankly, if I have my way, I would hold them all.
I would say that both gold and bitcoin are considered different types of investment. Though Bitcoin has more advantages in terms of transparency and volatility and when it comes to value, gold only appreciates its price as time goes by. Bitcoin, as a digital currency commonly referred to as digital gold, has a higher potential for growth but the value is uncertain and everyone is aware of that. You're right that we don't need to compare the BTC to gold as they have differentiation and if you're holding BTC, just hold it and wait till the value appreciates. In the end, Risk takers and investors probably would like to have both as long-term investments.
1471  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: October 19, 2023, 08:13:07 AM
I've been there, and it's not easy. Budgeting is key! Cut non-essentials, save, and look for side gigs. Support from family and community can help too. It's all about making every penny count.

Not only can this make every penny very meaningful, but it can also make every condition capable of being faced by everyone wisely without excessive stress. Because someone who is willing to cut things that are not important and want to save every income into important savings will always be ready to face any difficulties in life.

Apart from that, support from several parties really needs to be sought, but I doubt that every community will support our efforts in this regard because currently everyone is also trying to eliminate the difficulties that exist for themselves. So the most likely means to rely on as support is our own family, because the people in our own family will always be more likely to provide full support for our success and to eliminate any difficulties we have experienced before.

if your income is in the low range, just live within your means. Proper management of funds is very crucial today as there's inflation in different parts of the world, and everyone needs to learn proper budgeting. Do not overspend and Get rid of unnecessary expenses, Allocate your income to your daily needs and monthly bills only and if you have spare time, find a side hustle or invest in your skills, in that way you will learn new things that might help you to upgrade your value and income.
1472  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: October 19, 2023, 06:55:19 AM
And it all comes back to the knowledge we have and the experiences we have had and it is true that not everyone will survive in Crypto trading if they continuously experience losses and vice versa, someone will definitely not get bored trading Bitcoin if they make a profit.
We are not talking about people who want big profits in a short time, I think those are greedy people and greedy people will never be successful wherever they go.

In trading, there is indeed a lot to learn, but I realized one thing and that makes me not disappointed with whatever happens, namely the risk will be proportional to the possible profit.
If we already understand this then there is no need to be afraid of anything anymore.

Exactly, People will not get tired of trading once they are used to doing it, and aside from that, there are a lot of things that need to be known prior to entering the cryptocurrency world. Trading is very risky like one wrong move, your money will be gone so it's crucial that you have knowledge about how the market works. There is no other way to avoid risk, Even some expert traders experienced losing their money and still pursue trading. Based on my observation, the more you experience failure, the more you learn.
1473  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: October 19, 2023, 05:58:16 AM
For me, the whole secret is in good advertising, in good marketing, as I have said many times , sometimes the investment in marketing comes at a time where it pays for itself , it is a very good option, in fact I have seen a lot of participation from many people taking courses to train in digital marketing where they themselves are their own company, just knowing the different types of strategies they have to be able to operate, it can be intuited that when we make a small outline of the things it can generate are a lot , especially the Income , good Marketing when done in the right way , makes the person so eager to take the product or in this case take the actions of the casinos, and that is something that cannot be Avoided , because basically when things are done taking into account everything related to the audiences, to the communities, when a large community is created, the casino or part in question grows so much that very Large Profits can be Presented.

Normally casinos usually put on a lot of contests and events, on the most important dates that you say, yes, Halloween, for many reasons to celebrate , for others it is a Reason not to celebrate because they think it is a cult of bad things, but in themselves they are worthwhile event, Due to its dates , this draws the attention of the players regardless of what is being Celebrated , this causes a wake-up call for many and they can be Participants and possibly winners, this should take Advantage of multiplying the Voice through the Social networks , which It is the best of all the Tools for digital marketing, however not only on Halloween , that is like an appetizer for the main and final event of the year that is Christmas, at Christmas things can be presented in a better way because it is When people want to spend the most, they have to say that they want to Multiply the money , and there is a Better way than using a Casino.

I completely agree on this, having a good advertisement leads and attracts high volume of audiences. Funds that has been used in advertising the campaign through digital marketing will surely be worth it as expected a large volume of clients and profit. As you've said, some are not allowed or some people didn't want to celebrate Halloween due to personal and religion reason but when it comes to having a bonus, promos and Events contest, for sure some of them will participate.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 19, 2023, 04:10:54 AM
Gambling addiction can come from different angle that is why we need to be careful how we gamble so that we are not going to end up getting the addiction we are not supposed to have. Those who gamer too much are liable to get addiction and if care is not taken, things might get worse and the addiction might even get worse that what it was. Everyone want to make profits as a gambler but it is very obvious that not everyone is going to be profitable with gambling Since this is one of the means casinos make profits from gamblers.

Yes, also gambling can turn into an addiction if you rely on all your funds and have a mindset that you can earn a big amount of money with the help of gambling only, part of that is true but if you're irresponsible in your time, There's a big chance of losing all of them such as monetary, investment funds and your assets. it will become an addiction if you have no self-limitations and have no proper advice from others. I agree with your statement that it happens because some people don't gamble just for fun but with the mindset of making a profit and chasing wins/losses.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 18, 2023, 11:57:41 PM
What’s your take? Does day trading seem more of a gamble compared to a straight-up coin flip
Coin flip has a defined winning chance rate while day trading has a dynamic winning chance rate depending on how good you are on trading. So I say trading is more on gambling if you don’t know what you are doing such us newbies buying bunch of random shitcoins without doing research first.

On trading, you have a chance to improve your winning probability while gambling is purely relying on luck since you can’t improve the outcome no matter how good you are.

I agree with you, we could say that day trading is more like gambling if you're unsure on what you're doing or you have no idea how it works and Some traders should know how to control their  emotions. well, everything is easy to learn if you are really interested, we have a lots of accessible tools that will help to do some research regarding this matter.

The pay rate is better now than it was before, although it's still low compared to other campaigns, the participants are assured that this is a long-term campaign which is one of the benefits, there was no escrow the last time, and it is good that Brainboss is now holding the funds and it will be top up from time to time.

The last campaign lasted 143 weeks and they always have new applicants back then, but they have more spots now I noticed on the spreadsheet, so they will not lack of posters if they take out spammers on the list.

There's a lot of improvement in pay rate compared to the last campaign even if they retain the tier-based format.
That's also the reason why I decided to join the campaign, Bitvest shows us a lot of improvement, and they also even allowed using escrow service. This will make everyone comfortable working without any worries of not getting paid. Cryptopreneurbrainboss is a respectable manager and he knows how to handle the job. He checked every participants carefully and selected the people that will promote Bitvest.

-
But I believe Cryptopreneurbrainboss is good manager and he will not tolerate his participants will post anything random just for the sake to increasing their post count.

I agree on this. The concern is not about the manager handling this since post quality can’t be improve if the participants that applying are shit posters. I will not be surprised if the manager will frequently remove user on this campaign or tolerate a medium quality post just to have an active participants.

It’s very hard to find a decent poster for that pay rate while the average campaign gives that payment for a 25 post max. Even Stake that offers much higher pay per post with high post quota fails to full their campaign until now.
That is expected. Bitvest is being watch by spam busters. Cryptopreneurbrainboss already reminded us, the participants, that if ever tagged for spam, it will result to immediate removal from the campaign.

Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?
No, for me, any gambling related activity is not that important for them to know. As long I can handle myself in gambling and I know my limits, it's enough reason not to let them know. Besides, I can already picture their reaction, and what words I can get from them. They are actually the type of people who do not like gambling ever since. Letting them know will only put me in a bad mood

~
How about you guys, did you earn your first Bitcoin through services here on this forum? Are you mining or you bought it as well? Which crypto came to you first, is it Bitcoin or Altcoins? What are your Bitcoin source at the moment if you don't mind me asking?
Yep. I earned my first Bitcoins here, but not on a signature campaign though. It was on an altcoin bounty campaign where I tried to apply as a translator of their ANN, and bounty thread on our local page. To cut the story short, I got paid thru their native tokens, that token got listed on an exchange, and luckily I manage to sell all of them for Bitcoins, bought a smartphone after that, and then a computer, then some assets as well. That's the first time that I earned Bitcoin.

After that, I tried to invest I think $10 coming from my own pocket, and bought Bitcoin. That was my first, and last money that I used that came out of my wallet, and invested into Bitcoin. All of the money that I used to buy the assets I'm currently holding came from signature campaigns, and dividends from the coins as well since I'm holding staking coins.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that has been introduced to me, so I focused solely on Bitcoins when I was starting then over the years, did research some of the top altcoins, invested on some of them, and now I'm currently holding some as well. My Bitcoin source, was of course the signature campaign (no need to hide it as it's pretty obvious), also a portion of my income in my job is being invested as well, but on Bitcoin only, but on different assets as well.
I can relate to your experience. It also happened to me back then, I joined Bounty Campaigns and was able to sell the reward tokens at a high price. Some of it was sold to purchase my needs and wants and also to pay for my expenses, some to hold for bitcoin. Though, I was not able to hold bitcoin for a longer time and sold it after a few months. I regret it sometimes, but I know that it won't do anything that's why I try to focus on buying bitcoin as much as I can.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 16, 2023, 02:01:41 AM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.
It would have been nice to know how much money is what that person won in terms of dollars as that will give us a clearer view about his reasons for avoiding his friends.

Because if that amount is high in terms of dollars, it is possible the reason he is avoiding them is that he does not want to listen to the loan requests of his friends, as he will have to reject them directly, probably putting an end to the friendship right there, or he will have to accept the request, and most likely he will never get his money back.
It is possible that way, he probably knows the behavior of his friends that if he wins his friends will ask for a loan that will never be paid by them. He might receive some reason such as you have won a big amount, why not disregard my loan. But on the other hand, if he considers them as his friends, why not deny the request for money and use some reason to avoid loan requests? It's better than to avoid your friends completely.
