1761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: July 31, 2020, 09:18:39 AM
Hi there i am asking this because i took out a loan at Nexo against my bitcoin. They told me my collateral bitcoin would have to drop 40 percent before they would start selling my bitcoin if the LTV threshold was passed. For me that would be if bitcoin were to  drop to around 5900 in price. So my question what are the chances of bitcoin dropping back to below 5900 again? I know anything is possible like what happened in march but realistically at this stage and time, what are the chances of that happening and me losing all my bitcoin? Thanks
The possibility is high, we all know that every after sudden increase in price of bitcoin, especially if its jump is too quick to go up just the way it is right now, a dump is expected. Or if it continues to increase even further, its dive will also deeper than our expectation. It might reach your expected dive when that time comes or maybe around $6-$7k.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The difference between a true Crypto gambling site and a Fiat/Crypto site.. on: July 31, 2020, 08:54:22 AM
That is the major advantage of pure crypto gambling website. Players are not obliged to undergo KYC process unless the site asked you to. So if you are playing in pure crypto casino, I don't think it is fair if they want us to submit KYC docs. Definitely, players will avoid them as the purpose of being anonymous is not practiced. However, for fiat-based or hybrid casino, they have no choice but to ask KYC as it is required by their license and permits. And this is the reason why crypto casinos are now becoming popular among gamblers.
I do agree, crypto gamblers do avoid sites that obliged their users to undergo kyc process, that proves that they want to be anonymous in their gambling activity that's why crypto gambling is the primary choice of gamblers right now. Unlike in fiat based casino since fiat is being used, regulation is still there that's why users have no other choice but to do kyc.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty thread with self moderated lock on: July 31, 2020, 07:45:33 AM
I think they do this to prevent members from posting something about the project they don't want people to know about, by self moderating a thread they will be able to delete any criticism from members regarding the project or bounty, so once a thread be it announcement or bounty is self moderated you should be concerned and probably avoid it.
Actually this is an old trick and yes they do this to prevent participants or other members to post suspicious information about the project. Most of the time they also do this if there are participants that kept on asking about the bounty or the information of the exchange, etc. Their solution is to either remove or lock the thread to avoid questions and run away so easily.
1764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: July 31, 2020, 07:13:38 AM
Better go with the top crypto in the market. Btc and eth is showing a good progress compared to other crypto in the market. If you are after with a better profit you can divide your investment only in these two, but if you think that your portfolio is good enough, then that's it, you just have to wait for the right time where they will show you how high they will increase.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting biggest winners. on: July 31, 2020, 06:44:48 AM
Such stories are very inspiring! But as you know, these are isolated cases in a million.
Yes, but if you keep trying, it you could be one of the lucky winners that will be listed in the history.  Smiley
Yeah right, but the possibility is really low. There is also a chance that the opposite might be the outcome.

And you seem to understand that it is almost impossible to win such a large amount with a small bet, but this 1% inspires and you think, maybe this time it will be me?

Almost impossible is not impossible, so as long as there's a chance, people will still gamble, if they could buy a lottery ticket, why can't they bet on sports doing parlay if they love sports betting.
As long as there is a chance and if you are really lucky enough to continuously win even with a small bet in your pocket. It is impossible but as you have said, almost impossible is not impossible as long as there is a small percentage of chance.
1766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kobe Bryant's death has been used for scamming. on: July 30, 2020, 12:24:33 PM
I just can't believe how low could this people be using someones death in order to scam people?
I am not surprise but how could those people eat or even sleep? I am not just talking about this picture of Kobe Bryant but also for those who use other person or death/sick person to scam or gain money from others.
There are other ways to earn but why would they even use this kind of move just to gain money?
When it comes to money, scammers don't feel anything. They don't care to anyone or feel bad as long as they get enough money to benefit themselves. Scammers don't have conscience, they can sleep or eat so easily because from the very start, this is what they do for a living.
There are other ways to earn indeed, however, they prefer the easiest way possible to earn money even if it turns out to be a bad activity.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if you want to invest in crypto... on: July 30, 2020, 11:16:58 AM
to prove they're not scammer project and minimize your investment of being scam...

1. look for the team if they're legit and real human... prove to yourself if they're human and real, not fake linkin from russia, reddit or facebook stuff...
2. list your find...
Aside from that, searching for their location can actually help. Looking on it in google maps to verify if the given location is really their working place. This way, we can verify if they just grab the address that they use for their project or if it is legit. There are more other ways to prove that they are not scammer, that's why we should always do the investigation and find every information we need to confirm.
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: July 30, 2020, 10:12:07 AM
The youtube video is no longer available, it is either removed by them or youtube removed it because of multiple reports regarding this illegal activity. Many people might have fallen from this scam method since they are using a news channel name to gather a lot of viewers and make them look like legitimate. Also, seeing this youtube channel, they already made thousands of subscribers, it only means that they already reached so many people that might believed on this trick.
1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to win at casino on: July 29, 2020, 07:23:51 PM
hi guys how does one win when playing in casino? is there a strategy that u use in order to win, or do u just randomly make decisions when you play. also how do u determine when to cash out or deposit more money
I don't think that random decisions will make you win. I think they just have some sort of strategy when they play and they just keep on doing what makes them win. Determining when to cash out will always depend on every individual, this is something that you can only decide for yourself if you are already satisfied with your winnings or not.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: July 29, 2020, 11:49:47 AM
Maybe it could really happen, but I must say that these are few rare cases.
Some may say that it is a technique of the project moderator but most of the time delays and unresponsiveness of the team is an indication of a scam.
Many instances also happened where participants are only paid at first wave of the project then none anymore.
It actually happens and yes it is a rare case. I have a friend of mine who actually received his bounty after a year, even after his thoughts that the project is already a scam since there are no exchanges, the coin has no value and considered as shitcoin. But then after looking at his wallet, he sees that it finally has a value.
1771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to Offer Crypto Trading on: July 29, 2020, 11:23:03 AM
This is like the funniest news I’m reading today lol. So they are all now getting interested in cryptocurrency?? Huh PayPal is not the only company that I have been seeing as of recent that is employing crypto engineers, I have seen a lot of them that are listing jobs in the same category.

We shouldn’t speculate on what we don’t know, it’s better to wait for them to make the proper announcement. No matter how much people to try to pressure them into revealing their plans, they are not going to do it, until they are done with what they are doing and ready to unveil it. And that’s how a company should work, things should be kept a secret until it’s ready to be released.

thats thier concept they love surprises and that makes people more excited but there are companies that slowly released partial updates on what they are gonna be releasing but the effect is the same because people are still excited  .

this isnt funny but this is a good news   .  you may find it funny because paypal is already a payment method and you know that paypal is too ambitious before  .  i have a read a thread before simillar to this , i think this isnt a rumor but its true    .
Yes, that's how they do their business, by making new updates that will make people excited by having new features that will be useful for everyone.

This is good news, but it is better to wait for their official announcement. Because as far as I remember, Paypal prohibits activities involving cryptocurrency. This might be a change of their heart or they have realization regarding this matter.
1772  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 29, 2020, 10:16:29 AM
I just hope that my business does not die, hopefully only sleep so that one day I can wake up in fresh condition again. the business I built is tourism based, so how can we possibly benefit from the tourism business? with the closure of tourism, strict safeguards, and a reduction in the number of visitors it makes us think hard. Is it necessary to create a cryptocurrency that supports tourism?
We all know that tourism is one of the most affected business right now, the answer is simple, you cannot possibly benefit from your tourism business as of now. But as long as you manage to survive until this pandemic ends, your business will also survive. Tourism is always there, always in demand as long as the tourists would like to accept your service.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 09:41:25 AM
I think 18 will be the age for a person to mature in gambling, this is the time when a person can think deep and have realization especially in gambling. Also, age should be regulated for the sake of the gambler itself. There are possibilities that this might affect a person not only financially but mentally if it is too young to experience gambling.
Even 18 is not enough to be considered as a mature in my opinion but most of the countries allows people over 18 to gamble and it changes depends upon the country where you are living.I had seen 5 year as legal age to gamble on a country not remember the name of it but read somewhere on bitcointalk. But definitely we should have an age limit to restrict the kids ruining their parents bank balance knowingly or unknowingly.
Age limit should be very important when it comes to gambling. The point in here mostly gambling site do not require a kyc to join their site and play. As to how an online casino can verify if the player is below 18? It just came to my mind though, but the parents of a minor should supervise their kids to stay away from gambling. Therefore, the age limit is incredibly essential in the gambling industry.
Most of the gambling sites have terms in their condition which mention about age limit as well and every user have to self declare that they are over 18 to access the site which same goes to adult websites as well. And its not their job to monitor the people's age limit, if they found a minor playing then they will simply block their accounts.
And how can they possibly do that? Most gambling sites do not perform kyc verification nor investigation regarding the age of their users. Even if they have terms and conditions, this can be easily ignored. And, if ever that they have found a minor, which I don't think that will gonna happen (unless they have kyc), user can easily create a new account to play again.

1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 20, 2020, 11:45:16 AM
First, let's jump ahead to welcome offer and skip the legit or not legit. Let's just assume that the site is legit, so for me the best welcome bonus offer is I am not picky as long as the welcome offer is decent and does not require more requirements except depositing crypto which is what most people do to get bonus.
As far as I know, most gambling sites who offer bonuses will really require you to depositing first to be enabled for the bonus. It is not a bad requirement as long as you see that the website is legit. Giving bonuses once you have deposited is the best welcome for me, before most of the time, the bonus doesn't end at first, there are times that bonuses will continue as long as you are active.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: July 20, 2020, 11:12:29 AM
Newbies really need to know about investments and altcoin held, especially those who don't understand the analysis and look at the charts on the exchange, so it's better to top the top 10 coins from CMC, it will be better if you look at developments in the market.
I do agree, they really need a lot of time to learn and know what investment they should make. In top altcoins, it will be better because those are the altcoins that are not easy to collapse. They are good for short term and long term investment.
1777  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: July 20, 2020, 10:40:51 AM
There is no turning back to the lives that we have before, we should able to accept and face the reality that we re now in the new normal where all of the people outside of their house are required to wear face mask to lessen the spread of the virus. Many businesses are now permanently closed and it is sad because there are a lot of people who lose their job not only in my country but in the rest of the world.
Yes, what we have before will never come back to what we have right now. We should accept it and continue to move forward and let's hope that everything will be alright sooner. Even if we cannot go back to our lives before, as long as we can make it safe and healthy once this was all done.
1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next bitcoin memorable dates on: July 20, 2020, 10:05:27 AM
All of those years mentioned are not proven because all are only hypothetical. There are many things that could happen that will affect the date of those events. Ther is no person who can predict the things that will happen in the future. We all have our own standard or basis on the events, it will only differ on what will we trust. Anyway, I am hoping that all those events will happen it would benefit us a lot.
Of course, those dates are just a prediction and there is no one who can prove it because no one can travel through time. There are really a lot of things that might happen, and maybe these predictions will really happen and not at the same time.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: July 20, 2020, 07:51:22 AM
I am always telling people the same thing,,, to really be honest with themselves and ask if the project is truly being a beneficial one for the society and the user. For me, it is also very important to have your own belief in the project, because even if the project has 100 good use cases but YOU do not believe in it and YOU do not ever want to use it,,, then it is pointless.
That's true because this is the only for us to analyze whether if a certain project has a future or not. There are times that people most likely invest only because other people invest in it or it was being advertised by some influential people without thinking and analyzing if it is the right investment.
1780  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: July 20, 2020, 02:46:58 AM
It has a huge effect on our country the same as the other countries. Even though the infrastructures start their operation again, we are still facing a hard time recovering the economy. Due to the messy decision making of our government, there are so many mistakes that have been done that's why our country's economy is not in good shape.
