1701  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: October 29, 2020, 09:33:13 PM
This is what the first transaction of buying bitcoin with PayPal looks like:

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire hinted that the function is now available for a limited number of persons.
It looks like the local wallet that we are using, but since paypal is using by people around the world, this is a great news to the crypto community. This will make their users to easily buy and store bitcoin since there are some country who are having a hard time buying or they directly buy in the exchange before they can withdraw it in their own btc wallet.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions for our dear project promoters on: October 29, 2020, 01:09:31 PM
For all promoters which one would you prefer?

1. Project promoters (bounty hunters) should start fighting for themselves, if some projects become successful and still plan to ignore or refuse to pay bounty hunters they should take the fight and spread how untrust able the project can be over the internet.

2. Promoters should face the bounty manager and make him or her strife for promoters rewards

3. Promoters should stop promoting bounty projects that doesn't implement escrow payment
Of course I prefer to stop promoting bounty projects with no escrows. Working with escrow is safe without worrying whether the project will pay or not. Number 1 and 2 is actually the common scenario in bounty campaigns where they always try yo spread negativity about that certain scam project or they will make the bounty manager to take responsibility by asking him to talk to the project developer.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Half bread is better than none on: October 28, 2020, 11:42:46 PM
Altcoins are really scary, if you can do some research you will see many good altcoins that had very good start and value in 2018 and are still alive today but we never heard anything good from them anymore for some reasons, they are now like ghosts, honestly altcoin investment is more scary, this is why its better to always take profit, most especially from new altcoins, Profit is Profit, either big or small.
Yes, that's why we should really be careful when choosing an altcoin, it is better to take risk in new altcoins that are promising than those old altcoins without any updates on the project or any development. Their prices will likely decline in the long run. Unlike in new project, there are possibilities that it will boom any moment once you have found a good altcoin.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: October 28, 2020, 11:05:51 PM
I think this is every worst situation for all, especially those who are suffering from the pandemic, so we have one option that is to find a way to turn it into positive.
Many died as well, lost our jobs, our businesses and everything, so we really couldn't say it's a blessing. But in this condition, we should just look forward and think about of next-generation future. otherwise, our upcoming generation will also suffer as now we are facing

Even before Corona Virus is labeled as a Pandemic Crisis, most people in third world countries are suffering from the loss of jobs and food to eat. This pandemic further crushes these people who already had it bad. Motivation is not enough (i guess?) for most people since what they need is help from someone or even from the government. Lets just hope that most governments would follow the example of New Zealand since they are one of the best countries that has mitigated the outbreak.
That's true, motivation is not enough but it can help everyone to move forward and think positive that there is a bright tomorrow waiting for everyone. About the help from the government, I think it is provided, it is just not enough to help each and every one of their citizen. The same in our country, that is one of the problem since not anyone received help from the government due to not having enough funds for that program.
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 28, 2020, 03:06:35 PM
Do you trust newbies that starts projects?
There are two types of newbies that starts projects.
1. Newbie with "Copper member" tag.
2. Newbie without "Copper member" tag.

When a newbie without "Copper member" tag manage a project then that project is much more likely to be a scam. So I personally don't. participate in that project.

When a newbie with "Copper member" tag manage a project then that project can be trusted somewhat. And you can participate in some such projects after making your own research about it.
I advice you not to base only on that copper mebership. Even with copper membership as long as the one who handles the project is a newbie, it is much risky. Copper membership is only being bought to allow newbie members to post an image for the project. Participating in known or those reputable managers is better than wasting time on possible scam projects.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 27, 2020, 10:19:07 PM
Discord is more friendly and open, I much prefer to a few other platforms.   Telegram might be better for brief communication but discord is more of a community regular experience.
So basically, to sum it all, Discord is much better than TELEGRAM? (based on the comments here in this thread) I rarely use Discord that's why I don't know, if I happened to use it, it's because I'm playing a certain team game, I really find this platform just like Twitch.

And besides I haven't encountered that many projects that requires to use Discord, so that's also the reason why I didn't bother being a Mod there.
For gathering gamers that might be the possible players for gambling site, Yes, gamers are everywhere in discord. It is better since the majority of users of discord is gamers. Unlike in telegram, it is more on discussion which includes gaming activity.
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 27, 2020, 09:21:46 PM
I certainly agree with basically everything you stated above.  I think the pandemic brought on a much quicker move to a "digital world" where as if it hadn't happened, it would have probably taken another 5-10 years to get to where it's headed.  Brick and mortar type stores were already on their way out, just like many things done physically such as cash.  Credit cards, paypal, bitcion, and every other type of digital payment form have only grown from all of this.
Yes it becomes the reason for all people to become closer to the digital world. Aside from your given example that people started using digital payments, we can also see most countries do online classes. It means that even those old people started using technology wherein they can't use it before. But since they don't have any other choice, they tried to learn just to continue teaching.
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops Confusion on: October 27, 2020, 11:49:18 AM
I think that kind is the typical airdrops nowadays, they are requiring some registration process or something with referral activities.
Airdrop should be the same with faucet or at least only need to join the telegram group or follow social medias.
My point is, airdrop should be created without bothersome requirements so everyone have fair chance to get free coins and tokens.

Yes, it becomes the common scenario nowadays compared to what airdrops that we have experienced before. Old airdrops are just really giving away their coins without asking the participants to do anything like sharing in social media or what. But right now, airdrop campaigns are taking advantage of the bounty hunters, requiring them to do a certain task in exchange of a valueless airdrop coin.
1709  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 26, 2020, 09:44:55 AM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?
Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?
The reason is that, it is part of the government's job or simply they have the power to control the money printing process. Not ours and not even the cryptocurrency. It is not part of the scope of crypto because it is already outside of its capability. I don't know exactly what you are talking about making a dent but if you are looking for the progress of crypto, you should know it if you truly know what is crypto.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies have the lowest transaction fees? on: October 26, 2020, 09:19:49 AM
I think it's doge, it's transaction fee is cheaper compared to any altcoin in the market. But this is only being used to do transactions like transferring funds to another. On withdrawing funds, I am using xrp, it is also cheap but not as cheap as doge. It is just I can easily convert it to fiat in our local wallet, its transaction fee is also instant that's why it is good.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 22, 2020, 09:58:31 PM
Heat did everything but I think ref somehow help them to win games, if there's a good call, Lakers could finish the heat in 4, we've seen it but sometimes best players are going to be out of rhythm if the calls are all against them, just like what Davis experience, he also had some off games in the series.

I think not. On those 2 games where the Heat won, try to check the foul call stats at each team and we can say no involvement of referees to that just to increase the chance of Miami Heat winning on that games.

I also expected a sweep but after watching the whole series, we have seen how positive Heat players to avoid being swept. And that's a 4-1 if only Danny Green
able to hit that supposed open big clutch shot on Game 5.
Indeed, it is a clean fight between the both teams. However, we all know that there are some instances that referees di really have their favorable team which they will give a lot of advantages of the game.

And to answer OP, no it is not. As I said, there are only times that the referee will have a favorable team but it doesn't mean that the whole NBA games are rigged.
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 21, 2020, 11:19:59 PM

sig campaign may increase the visibility here in the forum but as others have said, credibility depends on the team handling it. even if it is handled by reputable manager in the forum, if the team will not do their part, the failure is always forthcoming. as the manager can only handle the campaign and the team is fully responsible in realizing their objectives, the final ball is still on them.
the success of the project depends on the resilience and sincerity of the team. and to what extent they are willing to undertake in accomplishing their mission. because most projects wane their enthusiasm as time goes by, up until they totally abandon the project. most of them are only active at the initial stage but when it comes to actual application, very few can achieve that stage.
Basically, it is just another tool to make it known by many people. The team will be the one to decide and the one who will be making their move towards the success or if they even have the plan to be one of the successful project. Even if it is handled by known manager, it is still depends on how they will do at the end.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: October 20, 2020, 10:56:23 PM
If the Telegram groups are active, then this is good so that everyone, by asking questions, can eliminate their fears and find out whether this project will achieve successes or not, if any project group is active on Telegram and they answer people's questions, this does not mean that they may fulfill their promises, and we must not rely entirely on Telegram groups in making an investment decision.
Not because the telegram is active it means that it is good already. There are instances that the telegram being active is just an act to take advantage of the member of the group. They will always try their best to look like a legit project even without the goal of succeeding the project.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 20, 2020, 09:52:29 PM
My question is: there is something to learn about roulette gambling, or just luck in this game.
It is base on pure luck. There are some gamblers who have tried to make their own strategies, tricks, or what, but what I know is this is just for temporary or more like they believe that their certain strategy was the reason why they can win but the truth is, they just got lucky.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think we have more bounty hunters now because of the pandemic on: October 19, 2020, 10:58:43 PM
We only have a few bounty, so I don't think that we have more bounty hunters now. Bounty hunting is also not reliable source of income nowadays, and most of the time, it takes time before they send the reward for bounty hunters, that is something that they cannot wait by those affected of this pandemic.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 19, 2020, 10:15:14 PM

Do you ever asked yourselves these things?
1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?

-Preferably in a gambling casino, the vibe is really different than playing online,
-Only the amount of money I can take to lose, I always try to limit myself in gambling since there are chances that I might start to spend mo money on it.
-If I continuously lose my bet, I always try to stop myself, I might lose control if I continue to gamble. The same as having a win streak, I better stop myself to avoid losing all my winnings.
-Probably slots
-Just enjoy the game and do not mind if you lose, you set only the amount of money that you risk to lose and if you spend it already, stop yourself and leave immediately.
1717  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 19, 2020, 09:30:21 AM

The question is that are we really going to improve the economy?

Or make covid19 transmission worst of their decision?

In my opinion opening the economy even further right now will just increase the corona cases very fast. The problem we are facing right now is the second wave of the pandemic. In Europe for example every country is reporting rising corona cases and we can't really open the economy anymore. On the otherside we also can't have another lockdown this year. All the countries here are experiencing negative growth in GDP. We just can't afford another closing down of the economy. It's very hard to balance off human lifes vs the economy, but we need to find a mix.
Opening of the economy will indeed increase the number of cases of the corona but there is no other choice but to save the economy than keeping everyone inside their houses. This is the only solution since even if people will be ordered to stay on their home, they will only suffer from hunger and might die due to that reason.
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: the cheater bounty participants began to act again on: October 16, 2020, 01:12:49 PM
so I invite all of you to do the same by double-checking the bounty spreadsheet that you are following and if you find your social media profiles on other bitcointalk accounts to give negative trust
Common accounts who are using other peoples social media profiles are those newbies. Even if they will be given a negative trust, they can just create another account and participate over and over again. The best practice is to increase your requirements in ranks and have more strict rules. This way, newly created accounts will not be able to participate and you can at least decrease the possible participants of your campaign.
1719  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing Poker.com on: October 16, 2020, 11:14:03 AM
I once played there, but left because the interface was changed after the update and I was tired of figuring out what was going on. In addition, for the first two days after that, their server constantly crashed and I could not enjoy the game to the full.

Why did you give Bump to this old and inactive thread?
Do you really even play their?
If you are a true Gambler and want to play poker, then avoid these type of websites.
Better go for trusted ones.
And if possible don't also try to use any your essential information on the site.
They may phish your account details too.
There are many Gambling sites with good reputation present here, spend your time there.
The site that was being introduced is not an actual gambling site, it is just one of the poker review site. Basically, you cannot play or you don't need to avoid this type of website. There will be no information being taken as there will be no information being provided or given to them. You are asking him if he ever played in that site even though you didn't even visit yourself.
