1041  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [175 GHs] NMCBit Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled on: October 23, 2011, 02:45:53 AM
Ok, got 4 machines set up now. But 3 other machines won't connect.
It is set up the same way on all the machines. I've checked the username/password like 10 times. Also compared the entire connection string, there is no difference (except the username).
Whats the problem?

1045  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: which pools are offering merged mining? on: October 23, 2011, 12:50:55 AM
I thought BTC Guild was supposed to have merged mining as of 10/22.
I don't see it.

Yeah, I read on another board from an Nvidia expert saying that as long you keep your temps below 100° and you notice that your system is still stable, these hot temperatures are no problem.

So if you can mine with your cards at 90° with a smooth and stable system, there's nothing to worry about.
Agree.
I used to run my 9800GX2 at 105C for 2 yrs, and nothing happened.

if I had an encrpyted file can you crack the password?
depends on what kind of encrypted file
1049  Economy / Services / Re: Password retrieval for MD5, NTLM, LM, SHA1 hashes on: September 21, 2011, 01:24:27 AM
Putting your GPU to use for something other than Bitcoin?
I generally don't use GPUs. And if I do need to use them, I use nVidia GPUs due to their CUDA support.
1050  Economy / Services / Password retrieval for MD5, NTLM, LM, SHA1 hashes on: September 21, 2011, 01:08:08 AM
Offering password retrieval for MD5, NTLM, LM, SHA1 hashes.
Going rate is 2BTC per password retrieved. Pay nothing if it I can't solve it.
NTLM and LM hashes are mostly used by Windows login password.

If interested, please let me know.

1053  Economy / Marketplace / Re: MtGox: why is this ticket taking so long to get an answer? on: September 20, 2011, 08:57:34 PM
you are lucky that they even reply you.
I've sent like 5-10 support tickets in the past, none ever got answered.
1054  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Sapphire 5830 reaches 90C, but fan speed stays ~50% on: September 19, 2011, 09:44:25 PM
4 x 5830 with abotu 1inch space in between, and two 12cm fan blowing.
Upped the voltage to 1.25v. Even if I lower the voltage, the temperature is still 90C.
That is because the fan will not kick up speed if it doesn't touch 90C.

And yes, my fans can speed up to 100% no problem.
1055  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is my money safe at Mt. Gox on: September 16, 2011, 05:39:39 PM
no it's not safe.
Remember the hack? Mt. Gox didn't even respond to 99.9% of the messages they receive.

What if I just want my basement to look like vladmir's datacenters? Tongue
Then you can convince newegg to sell you for $370 a piece.

that is one way to burn out the fan.... which i am not planning on doing.
1058  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Sapphire 5830 reaches 90C, but fan speed stays ~50% on: September 16, 2011, 02:46:46 PM
When the temperature reaches 90C, the card will downclock automatically.
The problem is, the fan is only running at 50%. Why won't the fan kick up to like 70% to cool it down instead of downclocking?
Is it just me or everyone else have the same problem?
1059  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: New 5970's (Newegg) For $400 Shipped! on: September 16, 2011, 01:11:13 AM
except the BTC price is so low now that it makes no sense to buy new cards... that is if you are paying for electricity
1060  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you're not out, get out. on: September 09, 2011, 07:20:51 PM
remember - get out now!   sell low and buy high.

Seems right the right decision. We need to lose money in order to make money!!!
SOme people gotta lose $ in order for others to win $.
