962  Economy / Services / Re: How to profit from the stock market, doesn't matter which way the market goes on: December 15, 2011, 03:42:57 AM
Does it work with moderately large sums of money ($500K for instance)?
Sure. But if you have that kind of money, I am sure you should be trading something else.

964  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NMCBit pool 0% fee prop 6.6% PPS on: December 14, 2011, 10:11:51 PM
I have been on NMCBIT crunching 7.5G/Hash for 24hrs+
My balance still reads:
Balance: 2.03291180 NMC
Balance: 1.42773973 BTC

That doesn't look right, as it says the balance is updated every hour.
It will pay when the block is found.  Right now there is nothing to give out.  But when this block (currently 50 hours) ends then within an hour the updated values will be presented.  Unlike some very large pools 1000GH+ the payouts here are less frequent but worth more.
How do you know when the block ends?
Block ends when we find one.  We have had really really bad luck with namecoin blocks and normal bad luck with bitcoin block so far.
So if I worked for the pool for 2 days, and no block was found during the two days. Then I quit.
Then, 3 days later, a block was found. Will I still get my share for my 2 days work?

Great, as I never said you can make millions.
From the first post, I clearly stated that this is not a get rich quick scheme.
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt Gox issues on: December 14, 2011, 08:14:28 PM
OK...So....MtGox finally agrees with me that my account was hacked....It seems that the hacker provided them with a forged US passport and maybe some other documentation that was either fake or forged....Not bad....It only took them about three weeks to figure this out....LOL...Not let's see how long it takes them to get me access to my account again....I wonder how long this processes would have taken if I had not called them out in the forums?  This is no way to run a business....

I will keep this thread updated as I get more information from MtGox for anyone that is interested...
That is not surprising at all.
I'am still waiting on numerous support tickets from 5 months back!

This strategy does NOT rely on being able to predict the future.
All trading requires probabilistic forecasting.
Problem is.... no one can accurately forecast the future, that is.... if you are not an insider or member of congress.

are you being serious? or is this for lolz?
971  Economy / Services / Re: How to profit from the stock market, doesn't matter which way the market goes on: December 14, 2011, 03:16:50 AM
The examples he gave made it look like dividend stripping. If so, there is no free lunch, if you believe the market to be generally efficient (which is often, but not always, is). Plus there may be tax consequences to consider when calculating your net profits from any such scheme.
I will just let you guys keep guessing. I won't say if you are right or wrong, because doing either one would lead to more guessing, or give out part of the secret.
Like you said, there is no free lunch, another reason why I wouldn't reveal too much info.
BTW, if it was that easy, I doubt it takes 90 minutes to explain to someone who have traded stocks before.
No, I did not figure in the tax consequences. Everyone's tax situation is different, even just within the US.
972  Economy / Services / Re: How to profit from the stock market, doesn't matter which way the market goes on: December 13, 2011, 10:49:27 PM
any other takers?
Would you guys like to see more proves? I have a feeling that the screen shots are not really convincing, as people think there are other "hidden" transactions.
Predict 5 moves, or state 5 actions that someone should take, sufficient time beforehand. If you can do that consistently, then you show people that you can profit. This way you don't have to give away your scheme, but you can still show people that it works.
This strategy does NOT rely on being able to predict the future. If I tell you what actions to take, I would have given away part if not all of the secret.

Do you have a pic?
Or link to the item on the site?
Must one buy ALL 6 of them? or would you part it out?

977  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for loan, $500 to $3000 or more per individual, 1.25% for 3 months on: December 12, 2011, 09:55:11 PM
My guess is that he is going to be spending it on his stock strategy which he is selling for $100.
He claims he "can make 15-25% or even more on your money per yr, with almost zero risk."
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=53973.20

It seems suspicious to me.  He is reporting gains on what looks like a loss. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=53973.msg643704#msg643704

Lender beware
YOUR OWN calculation shows "Net profit: $12.30".
How is that a loss?
Furthermore, the strategy is for LONG term. 3 months is not long term.
