The awaited bitcoin halving of next year will also boost the price of the bitcoin this year but reaching the $20k again is not likely to happen soon.

There is a possibility that someday bitcoin might be overtaken by another coin like ethereum or ripplebut these coins nearest to the top coin should match first its current market capitalization. Aside from these mentioned coins, there are also other cryptocurrencies that can possibly overtake bitcoin in the future because their developers is very active in developing their coins. Bitcoin will remain to be the top coin in the future as long as there is a large crypto community supporting it.
