741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: when is the right time to invest on bitcoin on: January 25, 2018, 09:39:37 PM
Now is the right time to invest because the price of the bitcoin is lower than the previous weeks. Bitcoin price is still affected by the uncertainty of regulation in South Korea and the recent event in China. Bitcoin may continue to be bearish this month and might still go down below $10k but it still depend on some factors like the continuing crackdowns of miners and exchanges in China.
742  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: January 25, 2018, 02:59:28 PM
It depend on which country you lives. Here in my country, we can freely use bitcoin even it is not legalized by law but recently the central bank imposed a regulation in some of the existing bitcoin exchanges and their reason is to protect the bitcoin users from being victimized by any unlawful activities. I hope my country will not follow what China has done to their exchanges and miners recently.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is still Ok to invest in Etherium on: January 25, 2018, 12:52:33 PM
Ethereum price grew tremendously reached several all-time high last year and early this year before dipping to $1040. Towards 2018, ethereum, being one of the most stable coin might duplicate its growth last year and expected to hit more all-time highs.
Investing in ethereum this year will  bring more profits if you go for long term hold. It will continue to grow not only in its  value but in the number of dapps that are built on its platform.
744  Economy / Marketplace / Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ? on: January 25, 2018, 11:01:23 AM
They might see bitcoin as a threat to their economy and because they can not control it, they decided to ban the mining and trading of this virtual currency in their land. They don't want any currency that has no direct contribution to their financial growth. They've been considering measure like imposing strict regulation on any exchanges but that plan did not push through and instead they continue their crackdown.
745  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin prices not rising! should we trade or hold? on: January 24, 2018, 02:46:06 PM
it was predicted that bitcoin prices would fall in the last week of 2017 and rise in the first week of 2018 but none of that has happent rather the price has beet pretty stable around 13500 usd.
what are your opinion on this,is it the time to trade or hold because i dont have enough funds to buy or invest more.

Still the best option is hodl if you still beieve in the ability of bitcoin to rise again after some corrections. This present price dip is no different from the past where bitcoin suffers a lot of price downfalls or a massive correction before its recover and later soared reaching some unprecedented highs.
What you need is a patience while waiting for the right time to take profit. Other option is invest your bitcoin trading, but it is more risky and you must learn it first before you trade.
746  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: January 24, 2018, 08:31:54 AM
This January seems to be the bearish month for the bitcoin as it continue to stay below the level of $12k. Every year bitcoin undergo price corrections but it will eventually recovers so you have to be patient in waiting for its come back. Some reasons why the bitcoin is down are the negative news coming from China and other FUDs that coming from polluted source.
If you have still available funds for trading then try to invest in some profitable atcoins to diversify your portfolio and increase your earning. Choose only the coin that has the potential to grow in long term.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what are your predictions in the future for the ripple? on: January 24, 2018, 05:36:18 AM
Ripple, whether you like it or not, is one of the leading cryptocurrency in the coin market, third in rank, with more than $50 billion market capitalization according to coinmarketcap. This coin gained considerable ttention last year with a price surge of 4000%.
Ripple is predicted by some crypto analysts to continue its price surges this 2018 owing to the latest developments and increasing interest toward it. In my opinion, due to the growing demands for ripple and to the growing awareness towards  its technology, it still poised for another growth this year.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all alts for Bitcoin while it's down? on: January 23, 2018, 06:29:38 AM
If you are holding a potential altcoin or some top ten coin then it can be use for long term hodl because its price will sure to rise again after few weeks. Be sure you bought it at lower price so you can benefit from it when it price go up again. If you have no time for trading then still the best option is hodling if you have the patience to wait. Some price of the altcoins are up while bitcoin price is going down, time to make profits then buy again at lower price.
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 23, 2018, 04:23:22 AM
Not advisable especially if you have a stable job and you been recieving steady income for many ears. If you have already a family, it better concentrate on your present job instead of quitting it because investing in bitcoin is always risky. But if you planning to invest in the future, you better start educating yourself with the uses of cryptocurrencies and familiarized them before you decide to buy them. Being well-prepared in dealing with volatility of different coins will minimize the risk or losses.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which coins have best potential? on: January 23, 2018, 03:15:12 AM
Any cryptocurrency with better features, excellent technological innovations, low transaction fees and user-friendly can be potential to replace bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin will still rule for more years as the top coin before a qualified coin overtakes its position. Some present altcoins in the top ten of coinmarketcap might try to topple bitcoin and its success will depend on its support and demand in the market. If the coin is well-supported by well-known business personalities and its demand continuous to be strong, it will likely succeed bitcoin. Any of the top ten coins will be a candidate for me.
751  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: January 22, 2018, 12:48:23 PM
Hi,

Hope I posted in the right board and totally new to this investing bitcoins.

I got under 0.1 bitcoin lending on poloniex but rates are too low for a good return.

Where is the best place to Invest bitcoins with the best returns and lowest risk?

Thanks,

There are several crypto investment online like in the social media but most of them are risky and smells of scam. Trading is also high risk but can give you high return. Trading need skills and knowledge in order to survive and finally make profits. Investing in good ICO can also give you high return but you must research them first before joining.
One alternative, if you have a patience, is to hodl your bitcoin for long term until the price grow. Or you can convert your bitcoin to fiat and invest in offline business instead. Online investments are security risk and you need to secure you bitcoin first from would be hackers.
752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Realistically, how do you think bitcoin will perform this year? on: January 22, 2018, 06:58:50 AM
Every year, bitcoin has different performance level and this year might also differ from last year. Last year bitcoin had its one of the best performance by reaching many all-time highs that peak to almost $20k last december before slowing down for price correction. This year performance will still depend on supply and demand and positive factors that will boost bitcoin price. Repeating its last year's performance wil remain to be seen as bitcoin price still consolidating. I think this year's bitcoin performance will again differ from last year.
753  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Not Yet Legal But Not Banned on: January 22, 2018, 05:24:23 AM
Many countries seem to have a hard time defining and regulating Bitcoin. The current legal framework is not enough to deal with cryptocurrency revolution, thus most countries still have not considered Bitcoin to be an additional legal tender just like the function of their central bank issued fiat money.

However, the Bitcoin revolution is fast reaching the nooks and crannies of many countries all over the world, what with the use of the modern gadgets and the internet. Sooner or later, financial authorities have to come up with the necessary framework with which cryptocurrency can work with.

For now, let us just enjoy the "not yet legal but not banned" status which can anyway fine with me so I can still avoid paying taxes.

Same here in my country, there still no law legalizing bitcoin nor making it illegal. I've been using bitcoin for more three years now and several aready banned the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Our government's central bank imposed some regulations on some bitcoin exchanges to protect the people using it. But I doubt if the government will allow a decentralized currency to be legalize here. The present central bank laws applies only to any currency that can be controlled and not the decentralized virtual currencies. I think amending that central bank laws will not also easy and many present officials might not even consider it.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does bitcoin crash occasionally? on: January 22, 2018, 12:38:34 AM
It is a usual part of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency to have a price correction or a crash and then rise up again later. It is bound by its own volatile nature and fluctuates in almost every second. The rapid changes of bitcoin prices particularly price crashes are caused by some factors like price manipulations, the moves by some governments to ban crypto exchanges, hackings and spreading of FUD that causes further increase panic selling. Othe other hand, demands for more bitcoins will cause its price to move up and often lead it to another all-time high.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: January 21, 2018, 11:47:46 PM
Airdrops is the easiest way to acquire tokens, you just fill up the google form, send it and wait for the day when the tokens are supposed to be send. But not all airpdrops are legit, some of them are aso scams or phising sites that designed to steal the tokens that in your wallet. In bounty, if you already skilled in posting then go for it. There are good bounties in this forum that are sure to give you tokens after the required weeks for posting.

757  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: January 20, 2018, 07:24:32 AM
Even in a country with good or improving economy, there still poverty and unemployment. A country like ours will continue to beset with poverty  because of many factors like unemploymet, constant rise of the price of prime commodities, rapid population growth, calamities and graft and corruption in the government. Economic conditions might deteriorate if the government will fai to address it with efective solutions. Being also in the typhoon belt area, our country has it own share of supertyphoons during rainy season that caused widespread destruction of properties, agriculture and loss of lives.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is still Ok to invest in Etherium on: January 09, 2018, 12:46:33 PM
Ethereum is one of the top cryptocurrency and recently it experienced a price surge that leads to its another all-high of over $1000. The price is still high, the right time to invest in ethereum is when it will go to correction when price is cheaper then wait for another price uptrend. Demand for ethereum will continue to rise in the future so expect many price surges to happen.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: January 09, 2018, 09:11:18 AM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will remain to be the currency of the internet if governments will continue its restrictions and will not allow any virtual currency to be use publicly. So it is not possible for the virtual currencies to overtake any regular currencies. If the banks and other financial institutions support the use of cryptocurrencies, the use of these virtual currencies will grow and the chance to overtake the fiat currency is high.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: January 07, 2018, 01:08:27 PM
When you are trading cryptocurrencies, many traders use bitcoins to buy altcoins and when you are short of cash and the only available source is bitcoin, you will convert it to cash. That just some of the reasons why some bitcoin holders will not able to save and hold their bitcoins. Some are really trying to save their bitcoins and just wait for the right time to take profit and they the ones who gifted with available cash.
