Most of the fiats used by the countries are national currencies so it is impossible to eliminate them. National currency is a part of every country's symbolic identity as a nation and it created not only as a currency but to represent a country. The governments around the world are mandated to protect anything that is part of their national identity so cryptocurrency will never be able to replace fiats.

There is no assurance of bullrun on these upcoming event next year but I think there be more price uptrends. I'm not expecting a bullrun next year but I hope that 2019 will be better than this year as many cryptocurrencies will have more price uptrends. 2018 is mostly bearish compared to 2017 and next year, the growth will still depend on some factors that due to occur in the next several weeks.

The cryptocurrency market was having a short uptrend before the Christmas and the price of many coins are up with modest gains. But I believe this price surges are only temporary nd decline will follow again. During the brief price rise, we saw the top coins like ethereum, waves, ripple bitcoin and other top coins goes up and they will likely to go up again in the coming weeks so this coins are still good bets for your new year investment.

People that still condemns or criticize bitcoin had no knowledge on the cryptocurrency itself and most of them got  their informations on some wrong sources. There are also reports in the media that some individuals are using bitcoin to scam people and this is one of the reasons why bitcoin is considered also a scam. The adoption of bitcoin as a currency or payment system continues as many companies or merchants around the world are now planning to accept bitcoin in the future.

I think only the ones that are not constantly updated will going to die because their developers are not active improving the coin of their state. If wealthy nations like US, Japan and Germany make their own cryptocurrency that tied on their national currencies, they will surely hire developers that will be always active and constantly improving the features of their coin to match the popular cryptocurrencies in the market.

It still good to buy even the price is going up above $100, it is lower than the previous months. There might be a possibility that ethereum price will go up next year on its scheduled hardfork but it is still uncertain if that possible trend will continue. Ethereium price have been going down since its all-time high last January this year and may further go down before its awaited bounce back.

These kind of people don't really understand what cryptocurrency is all about and that is the reason why they bitcoin everytime its price go down. Those so called average wanna be investors are only concerned on how fast they can earn profits in cryptocurrencies. They must educate themselve first on the basics of cryptocurrencies and learn how to choose the right decision before investing or buying some coins.

I agree with that because hodl is till the best strategy if you are determined to earn profit in the future. Bitcoin might take longer time to go up but it is sure to recover when a lot of investors start buying again when the price is already affordable. Another way to make profit is through trading, if you know how to trade. Selling your coin to buy another but profitable coin is also a good option because there are some altcoins that continue to go up even the market is still bearish.

These governments that won't allow bitcoin in their countries might not yet ready to accept cryptocurrency or they had a law that prohibit the use of another currency. Bitcoin has a high volatility and fluctuate rapidly so these countries might be having a hard time dealing with it so they rather ban it than allowing it. However, banning a cryptocurrency like bitcoin may not be successful because might buy the coin in an underground exchanges. China, for example, reportedly banned bitcoin but many chinese can still able to buy the cryptocurrency from many sources inside their country

Some short price uptrends may happen this remaining month of 2018 but a bullrun is no longer possible because it lacked some factors that trigger it. I think investors are still willing to invest more because the price of some coins ethereum and bitcoin is now lower than before. Investors and traders can only hope that next year will be better than this year despite some uncertainties that still prevailing in the crypto market.

In the past, many of the countries suffered economic recession or crash then grow agaib after a few years. It means economy  will also go through the cycle of uptrend and downtrend. The government will surely put some measures to boost up the economy by raising taxes, interest rates and others. Some economists predicts that there might be an economic slowdown or recession in the next two years before it resumes it growth again. Will it affect the cryptocurrencies? That will remain to be seen in the next couple of years.

I think it depend on the kind of regulation that a government want to impose. If the regulation is strict, investors and users of cryptocurrency can't use the coin without government approval. All transactions are subject to the regulation being implemented and owning a cryptocurrency is not easy. Crypto-friendly regulation will make it easier to buy, sell and trade bitcoins and many merchants will use it as one of their payment options.

It can be possible that a cryptocurrency will become the currency of the future but it might still need a government approval even it is a decentralized currency. A law for the use of all cryptocurrencies are still needed to protect consumers and businesses for possible ill- effects of using a highly volatile currency in a transaction. Bitcoin is created as an alternative currency but its high volatility might prevent some sectors from using it as a currency.
