1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 20, 2022, 02:08:01 PM
The host will face Ecuador in the first game of the day, and given that most observers think Ecuador will win, I have a strong hunch that Qatar will win their opening match in Group A, and I'm giving Qatar 3.60 and Ecuador 2.25. Since Qatar defeated Ecuador 4:3 last year, I believe history will repeat itself today. I also know that Ecuador won't want to take any chances, so good luck to the two clubs.

They are not giving the host nation any chance at all. The same thought I had before. I was like, is this really serious? But it changed now that the World Cup is about to start. Is Qatar the worst team in this tournament in FIFA rankings? Netherlands and Senegal are top 20 nations. Seeing their previous matches, defense will be the main problem for Qatar. Qatar by far can be surely overpowered by these stronger teams. But Ecuador is not that good either. And this is the only match that the host nation has what it takes to win. I believe both teams will score. Qatar has to rely on their positioning for them to cruise a victory.

3  Economy / Economics / Re: government hampers the country's economy on: October 22, 2022, 04:36:53 AM
This is about corruption which is common not only in developed and developing countries but gone uncontrolled in poor countries. Education is the key but it will take time even multiple generations to put an end to corruption or put it in the lowest form.

For hundreds of years, humans came up with many forms of government testing their effectiveness when it comes to power, economy, and populace and nothing came up perfect. Democracy came up as the nearest to perfection but it has its flaws too. But democracy in a fully educated country bound by a population enriched with deep social awareness and responsibility might work.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2022, 01:12:11 PM
Bitcoin will hit $100k without Elon Musk. The cycle has not been broken and it will continue for long. More and more people are hearing about Bitcoin. Once they will understand the importance of decentralization and its limited supply, there will be more adoptions to come. Without the likes of Elon Musk, Bitcoin might move slowly but organic.

I have no hate on Elon Musk. I recognized that he can influence the movement of the price of Bitcoin with his hypes but only temporarily. Elon Musk adopting and supporting Bitcoin is another story but there were also billionaires who did it earlier than him.

Pre-season games are part of team practice and get together in order to put themselves into prime condition once NBA real season begins. I like it when NBA teams visits other nations for exhibition games. Phoenix Suns visited Australia. They lost to Adelaide 36ers but nothing to lose and nothing serious. Phoenix Suns is one of the teams that we can watch because they were number one in their regular season. This year and next year they have the same stars, Booker, Ayton and Paul. How long can Paul play at championship level?

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 01, 2022, 07:48:55 AM
The Lakers reported that they are still open to trade their future first round picks but they want long term returns. We are referring to their 2027 and 2029 future first round draft picks. The Lakers are giving a sign that they want a young high potential player that can carry the team when Bron and Davis are gone or old. No wonder all their previous talks to unload Russ and acquire any players from Kyrie, Clarkson, Hield, Turner and Bogdanovich ended in failures.

Does the Lakers 2027, 2029 first round drafts and Russ' $47 million payrate enough to acquire a young star potential like Mitchell?
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: September 30, 2022, 05:26:01 PM
There are cases where gambling becomes a tourist destination. Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, Macau, Singapore and Japan are very familiar to me when it comes to casinos visited by local and foreign tourists in order to gamble.

I'm setting Las Vegas as an example. It is a desert and it is hot. Tourists want to enjoy and relax in their travels and a desert isn't the place for it. But thanks to its variety of huge casinos it also attracted many forms of events regularly. This made Las Vegas as the entertainment and gambling capital of the world even if it is located in a desert.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 30, 2022, 04:48:49 PM
It's the reason why casino business is a booming industry. Physical casinos took heavy hits during COVID-19. But online casinos took much of the market share and continued to flourish even up to now that physical casinos are back into business.

It's rare to find physical casinos filing for bankruptcy and closing its operations. There are more casino openings than casino closings. And the birth of the internet also gave birth to online casinos that are until now growing fast.

Bitcoin is just different among others. For many years I was looking at Ethereum as the best coin within reach that can take over Bitcoin at the top. Merge is done turning Ethereum into POS. There are clamors that ETH is heading towards indirect centralization. There are POW believers that jumped ship to ETC and ETHW. The next ATH are possibly happening in 2025 and I am confident that Bitcoin will remain on top while there is no assurance that ETH will remain second.

Let's see if this new coach can guide the team more than Ime so that their efforts won't be in vain.

The new coach needs to work more since they are the runner-up and the expectation for this team is high.

He needs to make sure that the team is still intact and the chemistries that they've established while coach Udoka still
around should be remain or better to be enhanced now that it's the assistant coach term to mentor the entire team
they need to work together and continue the chase on the winning the NBA crown.

Boston Celtics has a new coach? I read it on the news that the assistant coach would be the temporary head coach? Is there a change of heart in Boston's management now? If the assistant coach becomes the temporary head coach and he remains a very good friend of Ime, things aren't as hard as we think it is. Ime and him can talk all the time on the things to do, the players to focus and so on. But maybe all of Boston from the owners to the staff, janitors and the fans hated Ime already.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 28, 2022, 09:54:13 AM

People are always underestimating real madrid as a club that can win UCL but so many times real madrid has proven us to be wrong caused by real madrid was the only club that able to win UCL for a few times in a row. That proves that if real madrid is still worthy to be called as the best team in the world. Bayern and Man city may become very tough competitors for real madrid but the problem is when people didn't aware if real madrid was always get small odds compared with another club.
I didn't know why so many sites put pretty strange odds for real

No one doubts the existence of Real Madrid in La Liga and in the Champions League. it's just that sometimes other clubs are more interesting for us to discuss. because after all we admit that real madrid have a winning mentality, even though sometimes they are often not very favored.
last season, real madrid three times slipped through the eye of the needle but thanks to the mentality forged by time, they were able to turn things around.
There are three big clubs that have to recognize the greatness of Real Madrid last season, PSG in the last 16, Chelsea in the quarter-finals, and Manchester City in the semifinals. this season also real madrid has a big chance as the favorite team to win the title, however, Man City, PSG, Bayern Munich including Barcelona are very tough competitors in the race for the title this season.
Was it Liverpool the other season? It's the predictions of the experts paid by the biggest gambling casinos around the world. But these teams seemed rather equal. It is easier to predict teams to enter into the semis but it's a heavy task to predict the champion. Lewandowski, Haaland and Mane are new to their teams but they are already performing well. While PSG and Real Madrid have their superstars established and well acquainted already.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 09:33:04 AM
1. It is possible to open an online casino without a license.
2. It is not legal to open an online casino without a license.

Depending on the location but there is always a big risk operating an online casino without a license. There are authorities that aren't so strict so you may take the risk. In case of a very strict government on money laundering and gambling, you will be in prison if you don't have enough money and connections. But why look for a headache when you can make business with legal papers?
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 08:58:55 AM
If I am a good teacher to my students and a good faculty to my co-teachers then I there is nothing to worry. I am not a compulsive gambler, so what is wrong with it? I won't be the first one to approach my co-workers because it only shows I am guilty and defensive. I would tell my class the truth in case they think bad on me. And I would also tell my co-workers if they will ask me about it. Just make it simple and honest. There is no big deal here.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2022, 04:46:01 AM
5 days until nba preseason kicks off. Starting to look like the Lakers aren’t going to get their roster problems figured out. I’m looking forward to seeing how Ben Simmons fits in with Kyrie and KD. Also excited to see Zion Williamson healthy again. Looking to be an exciting season. I wonder if Giannis is still getting better…
Giannis. I hope he is practicing his shooting skills. If he mastered it, he will be difficult to stop as he will be able to use it for new moves like hesitations.
The Nets. As long as they work as professionals it will be good. Now that Kyrie can play all of the games without the need for a vaccine there's a chance they will take the top of the East.
Zion. Well, something is included in his contract so we might see a thinner Zion with more agility.
4 more days and the preseason will start.

Everyone is excited. Is Zion thinner now? In the past Zion asked for a trade. Could it be because of the weight limit included in his contract? These players nowadays are becoming more demanding just like Ben Simmons. There will be some changes in the CBA soon.

The team that I am most excited to see is the Memphis Grizzlies. They are so silent this off-season. I am excited what their young players can bring this new season. They are not at their peaks last season. Now they are more experienced.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do you sell your Bitcoin forever, OR wait to buy back later ??? on: September 26, 2022, 04:14:23 AM
Indeed, no one expected bitcoin to fall further, and I myself did not think that bitcoin would fall deeper as it is today, but if we think clearly we will not be surprised because indeed the trade and economic cycles work like that, namely , there is an increase as well as a decrease. if I talk about bitcoin, of course I will sell bitcoin if there is a profit, and I have sold bitcoin at a high price, namely in 2021, which is the price range, 57000 dollars, and now I have started buying bitcoin again and I am buying bitcoin with a gradual system or can also be called the DCA system.

Those who don't want bitcoin to fall further are the ones who bought bitcoin at a higher price than it is now and they are losing money, they hope bitcoin doesn't drop and rise because they don't want to lose more. Or those who have bought enough bitcoins that they want and now expect it to grow to make a profit. There are many people waiting for bitcoin to fall further, because they haven't bought enough bitcoin for themselves, they want a bigger profit if they can buy it at a lower price.

I myself expect the bear market to last for as long as possible to accumulate as many bitcoins as possible, if we lose this opportunity and the bull season comes, I think we will run out of chances of seeing bitcoin at 20k again. Just like 2018, people who didn't buy bitcoin at 3k will never get a chance to see it.

Me too. I am one of those people that only watched bitcoin at 3k and didn't buy due to fear that it won't stop dropping.

This time I do not want to lose the opportunity. I am observing how the market evolves in the next months to come. I have very little bitcoin savings at the moment, it's less than a single bitcoin. I am buying gradually. DCA is better than a one time buy. I have this hunch that bitcoin is still to bottom down this year or next year but it is hard for us to timing it.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2022, 03:49:34 AM
Going back to this Ime Udoka drama… I’m not sure how serious people are, but I’m hearing rumors that his affair went further than just with the female staff member that’s been in social media… There are now rumors that he was also having inappropriate relationships with players… Maybe people are being crazy for clicks, but I suspect that Matt Barnes was right when he said that this story is 1000x crazier than anyone realizes right now.

I am pondering on the suspension if it was right. But Boston Celtic's management won't suspend Udoka if his issues are not that serious. They are hoping the issue to die down after the suspension and maybe they can let him return in the middle of the season. But things are getting worse. I read a news yesterday about the possibility of completely removing Udoka as a head coach. This is a disaster to the team because basketball fans assumed them to be the team to beat in this new season.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 23, 2022, 07:41:27 AM
KYC is not enough for crypto casinos? Crypto casinos should check all its players source of funds?
I disagree about checking the source of funds. It is a private area. How can a crypto casino evaluate and learn someone's source of funds? It violates people's rights. I simply avoid joining the casino if they force me to show my source of funds. It is too much!!!

Are we going to ignore that land based casinos are not even asking for its gamblers KYC? There are some casinos that need an ID before people can enter. But that's it, they don't photocopy the ID for for their copy. Most casinos I entered do not require ID. You can easily enter as long as you don't look like a criminal or beggar.
What casinos you are talking about? Online casinos or physical casinos?
If land-based casinos don't require visitors for KYC, do you think it should be applied to online-based casinos as well?
In my opinion, each casino may have different regulations, we can't expect them to have the same rules about KYC.

I also accept it that KYC is possibly needed on online casinos in order to help fight money laundering. But for someone to say that casinos should check all its players source of funds is too private and you also said it is too much.

In your own experiences in a physical casino, did they asked for a KYC? Asking for an ID without taking a copy of it is not KYC. It appears that international money laundering is a very big issue but local money laundering is not that kind of a big deal. It varies from places to places but I just shared my opinion that it is not strict on physical casinos.

I don't think is a disaster season for Chelsea because the season just started, and they still lot of talented players here, with a new coach who has prove in the premier League that he can play attractive and effective football seasons after season so we should still be optimistic about the season, they have players like thiago Silva, koulibaily, raheem sterling, Aubameyang, Recce James and jorginho who are world class players and can play in any team In the world so they can still turn this season to a positive one.
Every big team that experienced a slump at the start of the season, actually there is no need to worry about the results. Because the team still has more time to bounce back in the next few games like for example Chelsea for example, who still have a chance in four more games in the group stage and it would be great if in those four games Chelsea can win it even though it's not easy.

Yes, Chelsea will definitely improve higher in their remaining matches because is too early to conclude that Chelsea will not achieve anything from this tournament. If Chelsea coach can allow those players that have strength to play in the first half, so that they will have enough strength to reduce their opponent strengths so that in the second half their will be enough opportunity for them to score many goals that will make their points to increase. I think, Chelsea strikers are fully ready to make the fans happy in their remaining matches, because they will like to do somethings good that will make the world to believe them in this season.

It is still too early for Chelsea if it is about the Premier League. But in the Champions League, there isn't an ample of time left. The outcome of their game with Milan early next month is of high importance. If they will lose to Milan, they are done in CL. But if they can hold Milan into a draw at Stamford Bridge, things will be different as they are suited to win over Dinamo and RB. I guess there is 65% chance for Chelsea to vie a spot for the next rounds.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 22, 2022, 03:34:09 AM
...There are many negative effect of war but no profit...[/url]

I probably read all of the wars that are written in the books. And it is actually all about profit, either by land, power, religion, and ethnicity. Wars may be costly of course but those involved especially the aggressor calculated it already and made sure that it is all worth it.

So let's talk about the example which is the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. Do we really think Putin and his cabinets didn't expect heavy sanctions and losses coming? Of course, they analyzed as many possible outcomes. Russia believes that it is worth it to invade Ukraine in order to strengthen its position in the country and the possibility of stopping it from joining NATO. If Ukraine joins NATO then there is a high possibility that nukes will be installed. Crimea a part of Ukraine that was taken earlier by Russia has been a big naval base of the Russian navy since the old times and it will be in danger if Ukraine joins NATO.

Although Russia didn't expect the war to prolong I think it will end with the aggressor holding big Crimea and the rebel regions of Luhansk and Donetsk in the east. There are only over 200 million Russians and its vast lands are rich enough for them to recover its economic losses in the coming years.

I am not saying that I am a pro-Russian invasion here. I believe wars should be prevented at all costs. But as a long-time history and current events follower, I can see the Russian point of view.

Sure, all wars start with a goal and there will be profits in it. No country spends billions of dollars to wage war without taking into account profit, profit here is about territory, people, natural resources...
Today, the world is no longer the same as before, war is very unlikely, it is no longer an invasion between big countries and small countries to win resources or assert their position. It only flares up when there are problems that cannot be solved by foreign policy and it directly affects the safety and interests of the country.

Like you, I must say that war between Russia and Ukraine is a crime and should never be supported or encouraged. But in the case of Russia, if they don't act, Ukraine joins NaTo then the safety of its people and their prosperity will be threatened as NaTo establishes military bases close to their territory. Each side has its own reasons, it is difficult to defend either side.

We'll said fellas. Everybody think that Putin is out of his mind, that includes me to be honest. But at the same time, deep in our minds, we know that things are complicated but there are profits to gain and it is even more valuable than money. Security is what inside Putin's head and Crimea together with some territories in eastern Ukraine.

Depending on someone's perspective but negotiations are generally clear that Russia has the upper hand. Russian main demands is for Ukraine to never join NATO, officially accepts that Crimea is part of Russia and Donbas and Luhansk be granted independence. And Russia is occupying more than its primary objectives that means more cards to play in the negotiating table. Even if Russia won't achieve all of these terms in the treaty it is still a victory for them than not doing anything.
