2581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 29, 2022, 04:23:24 PM
Price analysis can also be a good factor to consider only on a long-term base and if one wants to make a passive trading decision then it must be of liquidity and volatility to open a position at the right time and predict which direction the trade could go. I use that term because the market is unpredictable in general view but with the volatility comes an increase in trading profits if the market is mastered and skills build to dictate the future of the market and which direction it goes in the long run.

So are you earning a passive income with the present market situation?

I tried many times to trade regularly in order to gain passive profits but I'm not able to stay for long. The same situation with those people I met before, they were only good for months. Except for those traders who turned mentors and are now teaching and coaching about trading. I am not against trading gurus but there are too many of them that were able to remain unemployed and free from 8 to 5 mainly because they earned thru trading mentorships and coaching not from trading.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported in his Sunday newsletter, per Yahoo Sports that if the Jazz choose to trade superstar Donovan Mitchell to the Knicks or any other team, there is a “decent chance” the Lakers would be involved as a third team.
https://www.foxsports.com.au/basketball/nba/nba-2022-trade-news-donovan-mitchell-to-new-york-knicks-russell-westbrook-deal-los-angeles-lakers-utah-jazz/news-story/bc882f4af1dbcb176d32bed5d033874f
Jazz again?
Quote
Stein offered up the hypothetical of Los Angles landing Bojan Bogdanovic from the Jazz and Evan Fournier from the Knicks and whether that would be enough to pry the picks from the Lakers.
These are just rumors but it may all become fruitful if suddenly the Jazz moves and try to make the trade with the Knicks.
Bojan and Fournier. That completes a good roleplayer roster for the Lakers and they would have strong outside players. Knicks will receive Mitchell so Westbrook might land in Utah with some draft pieces that the Lakers or Knicks would offer. I am positive it could work out. Jazz is rebuilding while the Knicks are trying to get more veteran strength in the likes of Mitchell.

So why not just trade Mitchell for Westbrook? isn't it possible?

I guess both are making at least $30 million per year, Westbrook probably has a higher salary than Mitchell, but Jazz are seeing Westbrook could bring the team to the championship, maybe they'll ask for the Lakers to trade Mitchell for him. I'm not so familiar with the trade rules, but is my thinking make sense?
We will see if the Lakers are willing to give up their future draft picks. It was the main reason they failed to acquire Irving because they are unwilling to give up more future draft picks. Landing Bojan or Fournier may not be enough for the Lakers unless it's only a single first-round draft. I can understand the Lakers' management though. Bron is old and Kyrie is not getting younger, so without future, first-round draft picks in the near future then they will end up a losing team for many years again unless they will burn millions of money in order to sign superstars from the other teams.

Wesbrook is worth $47 million next season compared to Mitchell's $37 million. But it is very possible that the Lakers are willing to give up future draft picks for a young Mitchell.

But you are right Nate Diaz pretty much will not do much on Khamzat's Career, but upon that unexpected defeat of Kamaru Usman after this fight I surely think a title match is a proper next fight for Khamzat Chimaev,

Ha-ha, unexpected defeat. There were so many recent fights, where a huge underdog won, that I start to think that Nate could lend some decent punches into Chimaev face. Like in a fight Burns vs Chimaev. A lot of people thought that untouchable Chimaev would win in first or second round, but in reality he took a good beating by Burns.

Burns was ranked 2 or 3 at the time though while Nate is not even listed in the top 10 and is also inactive already for a year. Nate may be able to land some of his strikes but knowing Chimaev's big heart, the guy will not be stopped easily.

Leon Edwards may rematch Kamaru next but I want to see Kamaru fight a lesser opponent as a tune-up. Let Edwards face Colby or Chimaev and then Usman next. I'm bored with the constant immediate rematches UFC has been doing. But Chimaev should be able to get his title shot next year.

So just at the end of this week, TI's last regional qualifiers will already start to kick in South America and eastern Europe. This is going to be very tough and exciting as every team will give their last hurrahs in order to enter TI Singapore. Infamous will be favorites to win in South America but it'll be hell in eastern Europe as Outsiders, Betboom, and Navi are great teams too. I'm also hoping that T1 together with Ana and Topson are the ones to qualify in SEA.

With regards to TI. My top 3 picks are Team Spirit, OG, and LGD.
2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 29, 2022, 02:14:12 PM
I still cannot find the betting odds in this fight. But I'm expecting Ramirez as the underdog at around 2.5 to 3.0. I will be surprised if Ramirez's odds reach as high as 3.5 or even more at 4.0.

Bivol is clearly the favorite here as a technical fighter and he just beat the pound-for-pound king. The excellent news for Bivol is that this fight is happening in UAE so maybe we can avoid biased judges and referees here. Because if this fight happens in the US then it will be nearly the same as the Canelo fight when it comes to judging knowing Ramirez as a cash cow of Golden Boy Promotions and he is also undefeated and popular.

Team Secret have hard time in beating Team Aster. In the chat, many have been making fun of them that they're a choking team.

Well, I still have faith in them and they were just sent in the lower bracket. So, whoever wins with the next game with Fnatic and OG proceed to the next round versus Team Secret.

In a few moments now, OG and Fnatic game starts.

Choke or no choke , Team Aster played much more better than Secret today and Monet might be the best carry in the world right now or at least tight with Ame so no wonder why most of the fans are considering Ame vs Monet the best carry rivals in the last years.

It's still not over for Secret as they still have a chance from lower bracket when they most likely face OG as FNATIC are simply an amazing team to watch.
Aster showed strong in Arlington majors so before this tournament started I actually picked them together with OG and Entity as favorites to win. But I bet on Team Secret today. Cheesy Aster was too focused and too clean against Secret. Even in game 1, Secret was successfully hunting Aster 1 by 1 early but the problem was they never actually checked on Monet and were giving him more space during that time to continue farming.

For now, it's OG vs Fnatic. I watched it but turned it off because it's becoming a mismatch. Fnatic hunted early but ended up getting killed. Come on SEA! Cheesy
2588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 27, 2022, 11:48:12 AM
So George Kambosos is fully aware that this rematch is a do or die for him. If he losses again especially in a wide decision or stoppage, people will start to believe that his Teofimo victory was only a fluke. And he will get back into the drawing board again. Mentioning that he won't go back to fighting domestic fighters in Australia might mean that he will fight overseas against hometown fighters which is kinda difficult for him as he is not a KO artist. Personally, I want Kambosos to win to shake things up. And I always want underdogs to win as much as possible.

Quoted from Yahoo Sports;
Quote
"It's a great division but for me, I'm 29 so for me it's do or die," Kambosos told reporters.

"If I don't overcome this fight you will not see me back in Australia fighting domestic guys; that's not me.

"Everything I have I will be putting into that ring and me training, and god willing I will be victorious."
2589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 27, 2022, 11:24:11 AM

I'm not gonna lie that the "competitiveness" criteria caught me by surprise. I seriously do not understand why a judge should score based on that. I mean that's kinda adding emotion into the bout and judges should be looking at it objectively right?

This is why there were some boxing fights that the audience felt they were cheated by the judges' scores.
Maybe it was owed to that criteria, "competitiveness", where audience is neglecting this factor.
And we may see this factor an important one, when the boxer wins via split decision or even by UD.
I believe, the boxers also knew those criteria. This is why some are playing safe inside the ring.

Well right now, there is actually no single universally accepted specific rule as to how to score a boxing match. The author mentioned some that I never heard of but as I said there is no such thing as a specific rule so a judge can score fights depending on his standards and beliefs on how to win fights. I also tried to become a boxing judge when I was in college. To make it simple, the fighter that lands most should win. But we also consider the quality of the punches. 10 jabs should be the equivalent to 5 power shots. But some fighters like GGG have lethal jabs so it depends on the judge how it interprets the kind of shots. The impact of punches also matters.

Ring generalship, effective aggressiveness, and defense are always mentioned as huge factors in scoring a fight because they lead to successful punches and counter punches. And if a round is somehow at a tie then the aggressor should win. Most of the time, the aggressor is the ring general and the one that controls the tempo of the fight. Fighters like Floyd Mayweather may not be aggressive but due to his superb defense, most aggressors aren't that effective causing Floyd to successfully counter-punches.
2590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: August 27, 2022, 09:48:21 AM
Casinos that issue their own tokens will get funding from token sales to develop their casinos bigger

I don't think they used those tokens to raise funding but in order to get those tokens you need to mine it via wagering. Thats whales wager alot during the opening of the casino because the mining difficulty is too low because if the level of difficulty increases the wager requirement also increases and the rewards decreases.
Maybe you are referring to BetFury? But most casinos that created their own tokens are for funding or additional sort of purposes. Moonbet for example is for funding purposes. Not sure about OWL. I remember some years ago when I was invited by a friend here to check Betking's crowdfunding in exchange for their tokens that are guaranteed future dividends when the casino starts earning. During ICO days I saw a lot of casino projects here marketing their tokens in order to start their businesses. Most failed I guess as I haven't heard them now.
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: August 26, 2022, 12:02:31 PM
Somehow I had regrets after 2017 and last year's all-time highs. I would have been a dollar millionaire now if I sold all my bitcoins and altcoins last year at an average of $60,000 per bitcoin. Then use some of the proceeds to buy back next year or by 2023. But what is done is done. We need to move forward and consider past mistakes as learning experiences no matter how hard it is. I'm still happy and proud of my achievements. I never thought that my crypto investments are that effective and life-changing.

Right now I am actually tempted to sell my house in order to buy back. We'll see.

Large banks in China are in trouble as well. They have lent tens of billions to poor countries as part of China's ambitious Belt and Road Initiative. A significant portion of their credit portfolio is likely to become nonperforming as their borrowers are unable to service the debt due to the global economic downturn.

I don't think protests in front of banks imply worse economic conditions are impending for China.

I'm more of the opinion that money lent under the B&R program is extra money which China can afford to give away, so it's not like they are lending recklessly.

Exactly. The Chinese were smart enough that is why they are now the second largest economy in the world and are probably the second world power after the US. Chinese loans to poor and developing countries are risky but the interests are also higher compared to standard government loans. And apart from that, the Chinese included conditions like that 99-year control in a big port in Sri Lanka. Terms that are probably not allowed to be viewed and shared by the general public. 99 years, that is a lot of time. Even the Chinese government can just pay their host banks so they can utilize it for their navies and other operations in the Indian Ocean.
2593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is going to a the bitcoin conference worth it? on: August 26, 2022, 10:09:35 AM
I am also an asocial type of person and it's been a while now since I am invested in Bitcoin but I haven't tried attending a single crypto conference or gathering. I made a lot of friends online as they are into crypto too and most of them already attended crypto-related gatherings. So it is not bad actually. If you have the time and you want to attend then go. You might learn new stuff there or meet new crypto friends. Who knows it'll lead and start a crypto career for you.
2594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 26, 2022, 09:45:56 AM
And most upsets happened when the underdogs have KO power. Like what happened to Tyson-Douglas, Lewis-Rahman I, Lewis-McCall I, Mayorga-Forrest I, and so on. Kambosos although not a knockout artist with a 50% KO rate still managed to hurt Teo prompting the tempo of the fight to change. Conceicao on the other hand has less than a 50% KO rate plus he is fighting a young and super quick safety first boxer in Shakur. An upset is still possible but very unlikely.

So who's probably next after Conceicao? Move up to lightweight or try to become undisputed at super-featherweight? There are 2 more belts to collect for Shakur in the division with each of them owned by new champions just this year. New IBF champion Joe Cordina mentioned that he wanted Shakur while new WBA champ Hector Garcia I believe is not tied up to any rival networks of ESPN which is also very doable. But my dream fight for Shakur is to fight Haney before the undisputed champ moves up to super lightweight.
2595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: August 26, 2022, 08:12:00 AM
I'm surprised most people thought that Wilder is better than Joshua even during their undefeated days. I always see AJ as being more technical and composed than Wilder. During their undefeated days as champions, there were rumors of a unification fight and I saw the odds favored AJ. If AJ is mentally unstable then Wilder is also or maybe even more mentally affected by that embarrassing knockout loss to Fury. Both fighters can get hurt too. Wilder may have the hand speed advantage but AJ has a better defense with his hands always high.

I'd like to see it but I think Wilder wins it fairly easy. He hits too hard. If he can knock down Fury 3-4 times or however many it was I think he can do the same to AJ. AJ probably won't fight Wilder anytime soon and will fight some easier opponents just to try get his mojo back.
Maybe this time the odds would favor Wilder over AJ due to his hand speed so he might be the first to land. Fury on the other hand is not known to have the toughest chin in boxing. He went down before and I can't forget during his first or second fight in the US where he was knocked down by a former cruiserweight and light puncher USS Cunningham. Wilder's 40+ wins with only 1 non-knockout is just parallel to AJ's 20+ victories with only 1 decision win, although it became 2 during his second reign probably due to mental effects he fought safe against Ruiz.

Wilder an Olympic bronze medalist only fought for a world title when he already has 30+ wins and after fighting bums after bums which were unnecessary for an Olympic medalist. Whereas AJ fought for a world title after only a few fights. So they are the same when it comes to high level of pro experience. AJ even held 3 belts before compared to Wilder's 1.

Maybe a new name for AJ like Chisora, Pulev, and Hunter.

AJ already met Pulev and as I remember, their fight wasnt very dramatic. It was a matter of time when AJ would finish Pulev, because AJ completely dominated. I think we wont see anything new if they meet again. Chisora - isnt he old enough to consider him as "famous, but long ago not in prime". Hunter could be a good opponent, but just on a paper. I see no big names on his record list, I dont he will give AJ a good fight. But what about Dillian Whyte ? They have already met. Could be a good rematch, even though Whyte lost.
My bad. AJ fought Pulev already before pursuing his mandatory with Usyk. I think Pulev was AJ's IBF mandatory before and Usyk to his WBO belt. Well, if Hearn doesn't mind rematches then Ruiz and Whyte are possible foes. Although I prefer a new name for AJ who's also not coming off from a defeat but beatable so I came up with Hunter and Chisora.

Wilder vs Joshua was a fight fans wanted to watch for a long time but at least I always got the impression Joshua avoided Wilder, and now if Joshua wants to have any chance at another title fight he has no option but to fight Wilder and beat him, would he do it? I hope he tries as I still want to watch the fight, but if I am honest I think that as long as Wilder is healthy and is not suffering from some long term injury after his fight with Fury that Wilder should beat Joshua and deliver a KO on him.
I also got the impression Joshua avoided Wilder, if I remember correctly that fight could have happened several years ago yet somehow it just did not go head.
It is actually AJ and Eddie over the years that pursued Wilder. I can read a lot of reliable articles on this. And I am yet to see a reliable source saying AJ ducked Wilder except they refused some offers but they submitted better counter offers. And only after Wilder's draw with Fury that Wilder suddenly admitted that he refused an AJ fight. There are a lot of reliable sources to prove this. The excuse is too shallow IMO. Maybe the truth is Wilder's ego cannot risk losing to AJ? Or maybe Wilder is one of those guys that worshipped Haymon? I always thought that PBC is like a cult. So many fighters sacrificed millions of dollars just to continue staying with Haymon's PBC like Quillin, Jermall, and Wilder.

As for me, casino slot machines are purely a game of luck so might as well enjoy playing them while waiting for luck. I usually jump into different slot games not just I am looking for luck but also to test them as well but I also set money and time limits. It's gonna be boring if I will focus on a single slot game so I only stayed most of my time when I keep winning in a certain slot game otherwise I will just try the other slot games.

Secret might take down OG in this best of 3 as they are much better in this patch as Nisha is having a very big hero pool now.
Damn. Nisha did a lot of magic tricks with his kills and escapes in the first 2 maps using Void Spirit and Templar Assasin. I haven't watched the 3rd map because I was unlucky with my bets earlier when I'm watching their games.  Cheesy

Group B was very very tough compared to Group A. I'm glad Fnatic still managed to gain a slot in the upper bracket. As the hosting region, it is the only team from SEA that remained alive. So I am really hoping they can score an upset over Aster.
I reckon about the teams in the group A. That bracket seems easy unlike on group B where most the actions are being done. OG, Nigma, Fnatic, Boom, TSM, Team Liquid. These are good teams and Boom has to say goodbye and the same goes for Team Liquid.
The remaining teams for the playoffs were already set. Currently, at the top bracket. Fnatic against Team Aster is already 1-0 in favor of Aster and OG against Team Secret 1-0 in favor of OG.
And it's done. Team Secret and Aster won 2-1 and they will move forward already securing a minimum 3rd place for them. All the teams I was rooting, they lost. OG is still favored to beat Nigma or TA but Fnatic will be facing the winner of 2 tough teams Entity and TSM.

I guess it is part of the event of the valve right now I don't know if this is included with the bet games but there's an event of casual game play with the match of SF mid battle between Armel and Sumail those are the kings of mid currently Chief Armel of Fnatic manage to win the game and make a signature kill to the king of the mid which is the SF Ult unexpectedly and becomes memes all over the dota 2 and e-sports community.
It was a very fun game. And it was actually a tie-breaker between Fnatic and Nigma. Sumail could have won that game if he was more patient due to his regen advantage.
2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 25, 2022, 01:46:44 PM
I just feel like this is a fight that's happening because it'll make Chimaev look absolutely next level, because Diaz is a fan favourite, and is still held in high regard by many. The reality is he's been off the paces for a few years now, and isn't the fighter he used to be. Plus, Chimaev did lose some stock after that Burns fight.

So, I do think this is feeding Diaz to the dogs type of bout, and I'll probably be avoiding the fight all together in terms of betting. There's no reward for the obvious choice, and the likelihood of the underdog getting anything is rather slim. I'd say it's probably the most mismatched fight of this year.

This smells like a passing of the torch. Chimaev is an exciting fighter with an interesting personality too just like Diaz. Just perfect timing because this is also Diaz's last fight in his contract with the UFC. Dana will try to make Chimaev his next big fish.

A bad match up and Dana trying to completely destroy Diaz's future market. Especially if Jake Paul will try to lure Diaz into a boxing fight. Diaz tried to apply for a boxing license before and I haven't heard an update, probably blocked by Dana who's holding a live contract. Jake Paul also mentioned Diaz's name before.

2600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 25, 2022, 01:15:50 PM

I think what the Knicks offered for Donovan Mitchell was reasonable. As compared to what they are being offered for Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz want a significant upgrade over what they are being offered now.

It's crazy how Utah Jazz is still rejecting New York Knicks' offer for Mitchell. Was it 5 future draft picks already? Plus a young Toppin who's still very useful in case the Jazz is playoffs-ready in 3 years or more.

Meanwhile, super rich Los Angeles Lakers is still hoping for some trades and acquisitions before the season starts. Another target for them is Buddy Hield whom Lebron also wanted even before.

I think it's Hield and Turner from the Pacers? Perhaps Toppin might be good, but Fornier? they might be looking for another more name player in the Knicks lineup that's why the didn't accept it.

The Lakers is just finalizing the Pat Bev acquisition, gonna be interesting to see Bev in Lakers uniform and obviously the experience is what brings him to the Lakers and of course his tough defense.
That's gonna be very big if the Lakers can also acquire Turner. I do not know how or why the Pacers are just giving up its star players and acting like a rebuilding team. They already wasted a lot of talent which they will try to get from future draft picks. Malcolm Brogdon for example for a bunch of extras the Celtics wanted to avoid and a 2023 draft pick. The Celtics are favorites to win the next season's trophy so Indiana may settle for pick 30. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Fournier will become a mentor since he will be old by the time the Jazz becomes a playoff team again.

Pat is experienced but also with an ego together with Lebron and Russ. They will collide if they always lose games. Pat is the guy that can be honest and will tell Russ to his face that he sucks. Cheesy
