what an awful build and such a waste of space, btw 2 psu's is a thing of the past nowdays

@cryptowatcher420

thats my  normal build but it takes 3 hours from design to construct.

please let me know your constructive feedback.

rig complete I am putting a wooden bracket underneath motherboard to mount it.

also i put anti static bag always so it doesn't short circuit.

7 gtx 1070ti = 3450 sols 70%tdp and 200+ core and 500+ memory

750w evga gold (power 3 cards-3 risers and mobo and cpu) and 900watts hp server plantinum on top to power 4 cards and 4 risers

Yes i am going to do a better job with cable management when I have more time.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cheapest Rig Frame Built under $25 and 20 min. on: December 09, 2017, 04:53:13 AM
Hey guys just wanted to share a quick frame design that i have built under $25 and 20 min.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0XLTT5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Buy following shelf from amazon $20

Buy 1 8 ft 2x2 from Homedepot or lowes. & 1 8 ft 2x1

Set it up like i did. took it me 20 min to cut the height and length and 5 min to screw them together. They are zip tied to the frame. and risers are screwed it as well.

the length of 2 bars where risers are resting is 32 inches
the 2 bottom piece is 8 inches
the 2 pieces standing on the pole is 7 inches tall and
the 2x1 is also 32 inches for screw-ing and zip tie graphics card securely.

Good luck and let me know your thoughts.

I don't know much about the inner workings of bitcoin, but they know what wallet the stolen coins went into and where they went from there. Is it impossible to black-list the tainted coins/wallets? If every single transaction is in a ledger, then wouldn't every single coin be traceable?

Yep stick to your day job, blockchain aint for you son!!
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 07, 2017, 04:32:48 AM
Put me down for $1400 i used to cash out weekly until they put carrot in front of me by saving 2% by using internal wallet bravo bravo[I am sucker to fall for me].

Lesson learned. No more i say!!!

cold storage + private wallet

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 20, 2017, 06:01:29 PM
im having nothing but issues

after a day both of my units still go all X's on the chips even with newest firmware and downclocking freq

now one of the units has a hash board that is totally missing the last 4 chips on the chain and is getting massive HW errors

reboots, manual power cycles, nothing seems to bring the chips back (they dont even show X... just not there at all)

wonder if 2 of these is too much for a 2880w IBM PSU?

Downclock to 500Mhz or lower they will pull 1100-1150 watts compare to 1215-1230watts for 537Mh and run a lot more stable.

$150 coupon is not going to make a difference when you paid .42 BTC on average for your D3 i know i did.

thats like paying $3600 oh well "No risk no reward... "

How my L3+ was hacked!

Waking up today morning i found my L3+ was not hashing. It turns out it was hashing for some one else on nicehash with BTC address:
14c2ewCFeW1VYtyhLFWB6rFJV36ZysEWUf

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/14c2ewCFeW1VYtyhLFWB6rFJV36ZysEWUf

it seems some one out there has auto scanner searching network for L3+ and inputs default password of Root:

i only lost 8 hours of hashing on 1 machine.
here are the following mistakes i made:
1) I put the L3+ in DMZ (nicehash was not working so i figured DMZ might fix the issue)
2) I kept the default user and password
3) disabled firewall on my router

Just a headsup to people. to change the default password.

In all honesty it was my own stupidity and complacency.

so you had your baikal hacked too or this is someone else that copied pasted your post?
https://deeponion.org/community/threads/how-my-baikal-a2000-was-hacked.9643/

That was not me, some one just copied my post for there Baikal incident. some one can't even write there original words.  Grin Grin

"Imitation is sincerest form of flattery" I guess.

Edit: I guess they are copying post to hit there post #s for onion forums i guess.

First thing what I did when I booted them - I changed the root password.

How come that someone got into your private network first?

I had the miner in DMZ because nicehash wasn't working so i thought maybe one of the firewall was blocking it.

Did anyone receive Nov 1-10 batch L3+?

yes they shipped it early oct 21st for me.

Mine hasn't been shipped yet for some reason???

I would open a ticket, seems like an issue.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal miner Problems,Tips and Help on: November 15, 2017, 09:10:27 PM
I didn't have to do enable-nicehashsma: true

for some weird reason it started working on its own.. and all the pools are alive now with nicehash.

on my D3, L3+ and A900 also GPU rigs nicehash is showing up as Dead pool?

Any idea why? It was working fine no issue and all  of sudden cannot connect. disabled all the firewalls on router and pc etc any tips will be appreciated.

Edit: is my ip IP banned maybe because one of the miners submitted bad shares?
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal miner Problems,Tips and Help on: November 15, 2017, 12:26:05 AM
i even added

edit: samething with zpool

My Nov 20th to 30th batch will be here tomorrow  Grin Along with 40 of my PSU's that I ordered. I've been waiting on the PSU's forever and they finally shipped.

Damn no update on psu for me same batch order. so i ended ordering psu from parallel miner just in case.

Edit: https://www.parallelminer.com/product/now-with-rev7-board-1950watt-110v240v-80-gold-power-supply-for-antminer-d3/

They ship fast.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 13, 2017, 05:52:15 PM
How many miners do you think I can connect to a 12 mbps line? I have plenty of electrical infrastructure in place, the only place that I am lacking is decent internet. I have average about 10-12 mbps, just wondering if I can run about 10 to 12 miners off of this?

yes you can minersd only use around 50-200kb/s sporadically so 10-12MBPS is plenty.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 13, 2017, 03:16:34 AM
yes reflash it if you rebooted twice and still 1 board is not hashing. you may have lost it... before you reflash
1) make sure the pins are connected properly and its properly powered i am talking about the 2 6pin pcie that goes directly into the top of chip. [check all of them]
2) swap pcie pin connectors make sure they are supplying power correctly.
3) make sure the hasshing cables the white cables are connected to controller properly.

after all that it still shows up as not hashing reflash firmware

good luck and keep us updated.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 12, 2017, 05:43:07 PM
Those people including me who just entered in dash mining first time and have purchased d3 will not sell dash cheaply and will hold thus decreasing the supply and in this case price will follow hashrate. The dash network will increase more with the supply of A5 and remaining d3 for Nov delivery so IMO dash price will rise more until it is reasonably profitable for mining and reasonable is 8 to 10$ per day and not expecting $ 40 per day

I agree 100%
