121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 04, 2023, 03:57:23 PM
I'll just keep holding lol. 100k is not that much, to be honest. Bitcoin will be much much more expensive in the next 10-15 years.

I think withdrawing bitcoin at 100k is like withdrawing it at 100$ in 2013. So I won't make this mistake.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Biden budget proposes 30% tax on crypto mining electricity usage on: May 04, 2023, 04:01:35 AM
I'm surprised. I thought Biding would be the first person to attack crypto. I guess he wants to win out votes boys.

I think, in general, the crypto policy in the US gonna get better and better because they probably understand that if they attack the crypto community than they will get a very, very angry minority that will vote them out. And crypto enthusiasts also can move to other countries because of the regulations and spend their crypto there. I think they don't want to miss on out crypto money so everything would be fine.
123  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Your thoughts on crypto exhcnages. on: May 02, 2023, 10:27:16 AM
Second, you're saying centralized exchange is good to make people know how crypto actually works and make them know are then more than wallet, but why you're saying P2P at the end?

Hello!

I mean a lot of people use P2P on exchanges like Binance to withdraw money or buy usdt and then buy crypto/bitcoin later. That's why I like to distinguish these two.

But thanks for the criticism!

Hello!
I'm talking about this trend:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5450536.0

it's about a large uptick in the amount of BTC held on Binance.

124  Economy / Exchanges / Your thoughts on crypto exhcnages. on: May 01, 2023, 07:29:28 AM
After I saw tread93's post on this forum about Binance, I started thinking about the role of crypto exchanges in adoption.

In my opinion, exchanges are great for people who want to try buying crypto and don't want to dig into a ditails. I think it helps more people to "experience" Bitcoin and I think most of them are then more to wallets when they realize how crypto actually works.

My second take is that exchanges are representing crypto and bitcoin in some ways. They try to get licenses in countries, deal with the government, and, in general, are the face of crypto for some people. It can be bad considering that exchanges could go bankrupt like FTX, but in general, I think exchanges speed up adoption.

I think the best way is to use the exchange to buy crypto or like a P2P platform, but hold all crypto on the wallet, preferably a cold one.

But what do you think about it?
I know that many people hate centralized platforms so I want to hear your thoughts.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sees a large uptick in the amount of BTC held on their exchange on: May 01, 2023, 07:21:03 AM
That's why we all should hold our crypto on wallets and not on exchanges.
I think exchanges are good for people who are new to crypto and want to buy quickly and easily, but this is dangerous to hold crypto on them.

It's scary that people don't realize that any platform can go down in a blink of an eye and all your crypto could be lost. After all examples we saw I thought it would be pretty obvious.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should wait before owning my bitcoin on: April 28, 2023, 02:15:31 AM
Good idea. But I recommend you learn more about Bitcoin and trends so you can decide for yourself.
And overall, if you are not a good trader, then the best decision for you would be to use DCA to buy Bitcoin periodically in small parts.
That way you will statistically buy at a better price because you will leave your feeling aside and won't make emotional mistakes.

p.s. I'm waiting for bitcoin to go down too, so I think you choose the right tactics for now.

Good luck!
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Addiction. on: April 27, 2023, 04:09:00 AM
I think this is called banging. In some way, investment is gambling because you don't know for sure that you will earn money from it but you hope for it. I think this fact gives you a drive to invest more and more because you expect gains and every time you lose money because of the best investment, you try to compensate for the lost money with new investments.

So I think comparing it with gambling is pretty solid. I even think everything that involves risk and money could be called gambling.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto (btc) is not for the weak on: April 26, 2023, 12:19:27 AM
I think it's not cool to say crypto is for someone specific. Crypto is for everyone and everyone can use it. You can even use crypto if you don't know anything about it.

And it's great that even people in poor countries with bad education can use crypto to make their life better. Cos most of these people are probably unbanked.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What will you do with bitcoin? on: April 25, 2023, 04:51:32 AM
Hello guys!
Today I was thinking about Bitcoin and where it will finally go up. And I came to the conclusion that I don't really understand what is the right thing to do with Bitcoin after it will "go to the moon".

So I wanted to ask you all, what are you planing to do with bitcoin when it will go to 70k, 80k etc. Are you planing to sell it or you will keep holding it?
If you will sell it, at what price are you planning to do it?
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which YouTube channels and pages to follow for update on market news and TA? on: April 25, 2023, 03:15:39 AM
Honestly, I don't recommend following youtube for TA. The best way to follow TA is to follow it yourself.

Better learn how it works and train your skills and intuition. Because there are a lot of fake analysts on youtube.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoiner still support the use of centralized exchanges? on: April 24, 2023, 05:12:49 AM
Well, you can use decentralized ways to buy and hold Bitcoin. The fact that you have some options is great and gives you freedom.
And besides, exchanges are great for people who have no knowledge about crypto and they want to try buying bitcoin without spending a lot of time figuring out how the whole system works.

So I think centralized platforms are great in terms of new people coming in crypto and adopting it. And the fact that some exchanges even work with governments like bitfinex and Lugano shows that they play a role in crypto adoption and promotion.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep hodling your Bitcoin on: April 23, 2023, 12:38:49 AM
Yeah, good advice. You can't lose Bitcoin if you just hold it. You lose it when you sell it.
And it's obvious that Bitcoin will come back to 70k eventually so it's just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, it's important to NOT be afraid and stay positive.

DCA is also a good idea to accumulate some cheap BTC while you wait. It will make you even richer when Bitcoin will finally go up.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Important update on Bitcoin. Why is it falling? Will it go lower? on: April 23, 2023, 12:36:10 AM
Hello guys!

Could of days ago I wrote a post while Bitcoin was going up that it's a bad time to buy it and it will go down because of the macroeconomic factors. And now, could of days after, bitcoin is really falling.
So I want to explain why and remind you of what you can expect next.

So while bitcoin was pumping, some people were hesitating if they should buy bitcoin right now, but for me, it was pretty obvious that crypto winter is NOT over. It's not that I'm really smart of something, I just try to ignore all this hype that comes from Bitcoin going up 1-2k. I just follow the same signals for the last half a year.

So first of all, I want to recommend staying skeptical about people saying that bitcoin will keep pumping without any visible reasons. And also try to ignore FOMO. You won't miss anything and you still have a lot of time to buy bitcoin at a good price.

So that being said, I want to share my thoughts on what to expect from Bitcoin next.
My predictions have not changed, I still think that Bitcoin will fall or stagnate for the next half a year. It's all connected to the economic crises that are still happening in the US.
I still think that the best signals to watch are FED actions and interest rates. When FED will start cutting them, I think it would be a good time to buy crypto.

There are some speculations that interest rates will soon go down, but I don't really see a strong reason for that. We still see that core inflation is high so FED still needs to push more to lower it. So we probably see another 0.25% raise at the next FED meeting. And after that, there is a possibility that they will start cutting them in Q4 of 2023.
But I think it's pretty early to assume that, so lest just keep watching inflation reports.

I wish everyone a nice week. Stay safe.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: April 22, 2023, 12:49:30 AM
It's mostly because of inflation. FED raised interest rates so money simply becomes more "expensive". That led to people not being willing to spend, companies not willing to hire, and people not willing to buy. That all caused money to move slowly and that's why it's harder to git it these days.

But it will be over probably in 2024, so it's okay.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you want bitcoin to stay? on: April 22, 2023, 12:35:29 AM
Strange question. Bitcoin is the future of money and it's the only anonymous money and the money of freedom.

Bitcoin is the only way you can get away from government control. So it's not even about the price of Bitcoin or the money you can make selling it, it's about technology and idea.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does It takes time for market to be bull on: April 21, 2023, 01:11:21 AM
It highly depends on the economy and people.

If we talk about the economy, it need some time to recover and start growing again. Even right now we still didn't get rid of inflation and, consequentially, interest rates so we need time to do it.

And if we talk bout people/investors, then there is a problem of "fear". Investors treat Bitcoin as an asset (and the risky one) so they are usually waiting for a good moment/signal to invest in it. That's why you can see long periods of stagnation in prices. And it is also important to notice that regular people that want to buy bitcoin also follow trends so they are also waiting for Bitcoin to go up.

Essentially, that's why Bitcoin needs some time to start growing again.
137  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin is going down. on: April 20, 2023, 02:38:19 AM
Hello everyone.
As you can see, bitcoin is going down and I believe that it will keep falling.
As I explained in my last posts, this Bitcoin rise wasn't sustainable. There are literally no reasons for Bitcoin to go up now.

So I want to remain you guys again that right now is not the time to buy bitcoin.
Inflation is still high, interest rates are still getting higher, FED is not planning to stop any time soon, and the economy is suffering. All these reasons won't let Bitcoin rise from the ashes YET. But I believe we will see the end of it this year, probably in Q4.

So I recommend holding on to your cash/stablecoins right now and waiting for the signals to buy Bitcoin.
And as always, the best signals to look for: FED start cutting rates. When this will happen, it will mean that economy will start recovering soon so it's a great time to buy anything you want before crypto and the stock market will go up.

Have a nice day and take care.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 20, 2023, 02:28:06 AM
Of course. Any amount of money is a good beginning. If you want to succeed just keep investing USD in bitcoin in small parts periodically (DCA) and someday you will have a lot of money in BTC. Consistency is very important here.

And remember, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The fall of crypto influencers. on: April 19, 2023, 02:37:34 AM
I made a post about crypto influencers not that long ago talking about how people still trust them despite all the cringe and stupid stuff they post.
In the the last post, after reading your comments, I came to conclusion that most of the people who follow crypto influencers are:
1) Normies (or lazy people who don't want to do research and want to follow trend)
2) Bots
3) Bitcoin uneducated people

I think the third category is the most interesting one because I don't know how long it will exist considering what is happening with Bitcoin right now.
We can see that there are more and more programs about Bitcoin awareness and crypto education. More people are getting interested in what bitcoin/crypto actually is. And one of the signs of Bitcoin adoption is the promotion of Bitcoin education.

I think in the next few years, influencers can lose their "influence" over uneducated people because they're gonna be fewer and fewer of these people on the internet. And I don't think that bots and normies are sustainable audiences so I think influencers will see a hard time soon.

And overall, bitcoin education will decrease people's need for influencers simply because they will already have all the knowledge needed and all these Twitter posts about "PUMP IS COMING" will sound pretty stupid. And you shouldn't be the most educated person to see it. And it's pretty obvious that all these Twitter people post specifically for people who don't have a good knowledge about crypto because most of these posts are just basics and hype.

So what do you think?
Will we finally see the fall of influencers or there still will be enough stupid people to follow their advice?
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No late comer in bitcoin Investment. on: April 18, 2023, 01:15:09 AM
Agree. We all are still pretty early and bitcoin will see a lot of ups and downs in the next decade. So I think if someone wants to buy bitcoin they just need to start DCAing and not think too much about the price.

But if you want to risk and buy bitcoin for the best price, then you need to look into bigger picture and find signals that will show you where the next move gonna happen.
