741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 26, 2017, 03:43:48 AM
Anyone in the April Batch get word of whats going on yet? They still having "firmware" issues even though they have already chipped out 1.5 TH worth of miners to their chinese pools?

Are you in April Batch? You didn't get shipping info?

No I bought a few in the May batch, but the April guys should have been shipped out by now, since they are supposedly paying out daily till delivery.

They have started shipping most out already.

Well from difficulty going up again...the 40% previous rises were from them using equip they should have sent to us...(kept i had 4 pulled back after payment)
that was L3's at the begining of the month....now it is looking like it may also hit 30% with the L3+ and april orders backlog....add another 30% for the may
units and 30% for the july units.....not to mention what they are keeping back for their own data halls to mine

hooo boy are we gonna get 'elevator sick' on the difficulty ride up ....I would HOPE they slow down some and in the fact they mine ...they don't have to
kick units out like toasters...but is seems that is what bitmain does...kicks out units like they will never kick out another model ever

zoom, zoom in the worst case from my home miner point of view...dificulty wise

asics everywhere (sigh) we be a climbing up the asic side of the roller coaster me thinks (bitmain has the mountain with the ski lift cars) sheesh......

Searing looks like you got your wish Bitmain July L3+ sold out or its no longer listed on there website.

Can any one else please confirm that? I didn't see any doesn't mean they are not there.. I did have few shots of whiskey before i started trolling bitmains website.

Thanks
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CUDA Miners - What is the most mined coin using the Green Teams Hardware on: April 26, 2017, 03:39:31 AM
ZEC is really popular on Nvidia as well
The 1060 6GB, 1070, 1080+ cards are all fast and very power efficient Smiley

Performance figures will be something along these lines:

1060   ~320 sol/s @ ~100w
1070   ~420 sol/s @ ~120w
1080   ~540 sol/s @ ~150w
1080ti ~700 sol/s @ ~195w

Check on whattomine.com for a list of other coins - https://goo.gl/lwXyU5

For the efficiency nerds:

1060   ~320 sol/s @ ~100w    3.2s/s per watt
1070   ~420 sol/s @ ~120w    3.5s/s per watt
1080   ~540 sol/s @ ~150w    3.6s/s per watt
1080ti ~700 sol/s @ ~195w    3.59s/s per watt

I can never get it past 3.25s/s on Ausus 1070 GTX 08G ROG

maybe I will try a different miner and get better luck!
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how to know about mining?? on: April 26, 2017, 03:37:08 AM
Jeez no one is willing to help a newb!!

But they are correct spent time and effort read and learn no one is just going to hand you magical keys.

Good luck!! You will learn just like every one else said be patience read try and fail and try again.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap PSU experience and question about connections more PSU on: April 25, 2017, 05:25:53 AM
Thanks for suggestions. I got answer from Tacens distributor and they do not suggest use 24/7 so better forget about such idea.

What are the best companies/models PSU for mining?

evga gold

What about:
Super Flower gold or platinum?
Corsair (what model?)
other...?

evga  850 g2  = 4 card rig
evga  1000 g2 = 5 card rig
evga  1300 g2 = 6 card rig

evga   750 p2 = 3 or 4 card rig
evga   850 p2 = 4 card rig
evga  1000 p2 = 5 card rig
evga  1200 p2 = 6 card rig

any of the above are good  key is 200 watts a card and don't push cards to max

Super flower gold and plats  are sometimes exactly an evga

I have had a good corsair  rmxi 1000  4 cards   and an axi 750  3 cards

www.jonnyguru.com

  long lists of good psu's

nice guy  he posts here once in a while.  I respect almost every one of his picks.  the fractal 1000 watt psu was not that good of a pick  every other one he made that I used was a good pick. (more then 20 psu's)

He also mines like we do.

Don't want to open new thread for this but, will 600W bronze run 2 GPUs well? (GTX 960 and R9 280X)

Yes It will 600w would be sufficient i just hope you are using gold rated and above PSU.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gnosis. Greedy developers on: April 25, 2017, 05:11:08 AM
Its not developers fault it was supposed to be dutch auction but the investors rushed in from the fear of missing out so the amount of coin sold was minimal

longer would have waited cheaper the coin would have been.

There target was to raise $12.5million % of coins owned by investor was upto investors.

Like i said Investors messed up if you ask me its a classic sign of bubble.

Coin base just launched or is in process of launching something call'd TOKEN very clever concept very similar to Humaniq but without the biometric solutions.

Similar to status.im but better IMO

http://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-now-testing-ethereum-messaging-app/

Does it  concern any one that it may take some market share and luster away from Humaniq (For record I have contributed upto 5 Ether to ICO) so i believe in the project.

Just want to know how every one else feels about it.

Link to coinbase pulling back?

https://status.coinbase.com/

Few days ago they had Litecoin listed under "Digital currencies"

Now they don't only BTC and Ether

its not like this company isnt known for using their equipment first to drive up the difficulty and then shipping the used ones to people...  Roll Eyes

Agreed.

But it might be the first time that Bitmain is not doing this just for short term profits. They also seem to be trying to manipulate the future of the Bitcoin protocol and prolong their advantage of covert ASICBoost mining.

Just to review, they're using customer funds to control Litecoin and indirectly control Bitcoin.

I pray that this bites Bitmain hard in the ass someday. We really need real alternatives to this evil company.

Either that or we need to form "Miners Anonymous" and get clear of this mess Wink

It seems like you just want someone to hate.   There isn't anything covert about ASICBoost and Bitmain has pointed out they are not currently even using it.   The only problem with ASICBoost is that Bitmain holds a patent on it in China.    However there isn't even any proof that it really works at this point either.

Now Bitmain is pumping out SCRYPT miners.   They are making money supplying the miners.   Of coarse the more they supply the less each one is worth.   However people are demanding the miners.   You can boycott Bitmain but you are probably going to be lonely.

I rather stand for my principle and be lonely than be a part of a lemmings running over the hill....

Also Looks likes coinbase is pulling back from Litecoin implementation for there retail outlet.

Principle?  Seriously?  Lemmings?   You can enjoy mining with a pencil and paper, I'll use technology.  Wink

I use technology I built and am building gPU rig atleast I know I won't be monopolized or screwed by "bit-the-man"
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketcap Manipulating the Placement of your Altcoin , You Decide. on: April 20, 2017, 08:35:43 AM
For years CMK,
had set Low Volume trading under $10 in 24hrs trading

This means no matter how much your coin was worth , if the 24 hour trading volume was below $10 ,
your coin was removed from the standard listing and placed 3 or 4 pages from the 1st page in a Low Volume Section, where you were least likely to be seen.

No one complained about this as it had been a set standard of CMK.

Then ~1 Month ago with absolutely no notice to the public ,
CMK, quietly switched it to anything under $100 per 24 hours moved to Low Volume decreasing their visibility.

Again , No one complained.

Now today less than ~ month from the last change
Low Volume trading is anything under $500 in 24 hrs trading

This gives a Direct Marketing Advantage to coins on Exchanges like Poloniex & Bitterex where the 24hours volume is Faked on a Daily Basis.
You want proof of this look at the recent list of coins Poloniex is delisting on May 2nd, almost all had 24hrs trading volumes over 100 Thousand Dollars.
Those Numbers were obviously Faked, to increase the price before the exchange dumped them, a key telling point is that these delisted coin's trading volume a month after the delisting will be lucky to see $100 per day much less 100s of thousands.

So Now CMK has sold out the Altcoin communities , to favor the coins hosting on the exchanges faking trading volume.

As I see it , our only choices , if CMK persists in this Blatant Manipulation & Falsifications of our actual values in favor of selected cheating exchanges.

We should all pull all advertisement from CMK,
and start a search for a Reliable Marketcap reporting site and begin promoting the honest site over CMK that is free of Poloniex's manipulations.

For those feeling a larger financial impact from these new false manipulations
May want to start an Collusion/Antitrust lawsuit against CMK & Poloniex, if anyone wants to spearhead that, this is the forum to announce it.

 Cool

What are you really mad about?

Perhaps some of the Alt-coins you been holding on poloniex are getting removed and you lost a lot of BTC or Capital Value?
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Polo removing these coins on: April 20, 2017, 08:22:02 AM
I am incredibly lucky, I owned CURE like until only before 1 hour of notification, sold it with some little profit and one hour later boom it drops to oblivion.

I think this move is amazing because Poloniex never wanted to be an exchange where all coins exchanged, they are getting rid of all pump&dump coins and getting coins like PivX and so forth to get more valuable coins on their exchange.
In my book i like what poloniex is doing. It makes there brand more valuable to me and shows that if you want to have legit alt currency with decent future than poloniex listing goes a long way.

Don't have 90K but would sure like to make $11million lol....

Nope only putting in whatever I can afford to lose, and not sleep over don't even care for return just contributing to any projects i think are worthwhile and which has future.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin News on: April 19, 2017, 06:01:27 AM
I usuall type altcoin news in google search and open the top 4-5 sites that shows up and read from the ones who update daily.
Here is one that has the most daily news
http://www.altcointoday.com/
but you can check others too. Google

do you find out about them after the pump? or before have you gotten lucky?
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash Miner Genral Question - Noob on: April 19, 2017, 05:58:52 AM
I just sent a link to you with the drivers to download in a pm.

From the Nicehash FAQ on their website:

"Sellers are paid on PPS (Pay Per Share) system. Payments (payouts) are issued once a day if your unpaid balance is greater than 0.1 BTC. We process payments for balances greater than 0.01 BTC once every week, usually each Saturday at 23:00 UTC. Payments for balances greater than 0.001 BTC are processed once every four weeks.

Unpaid balances, lower than 0.0001 BTC are considered as leftover amounts and the only option for you to get these amounts paid out is to connect your miner long enough to reach unpaid balance higher than 0.001 BTC which will then be processed in full in the next payout process. Please also note that we are periodically discarding amounts, lower than 0.0001 BTC for all long term inactive miners. All balances from all algorithms are aggregated into a single payment."

So I need to make at least 0.01 or more in my Miner balance in order to get paid, is this correct ? . Well it is better through ccminer mining zcash or lbry but for the moment Nicehash is paying me more, once people start leaving libry I am jumping in again.

No at least 0.001. With a > 0.001 balance you get paid every 4 weeks and with a >0.01 balance you get paid weekly.

Thank you for the detailed explanation, now I understand. So I will be paid every 2 weeks with this pay ratio they use, I can make about just a bit more than 0.01 BTC per week with 1.60 euro pay per day I am getting.

Also don't forget they take the cost of sending you BTC from your BTC rewards which is messed up i hope they start offering Ethereum payout or LTC payout i would rather take that.

Because I pay almost 3% in transaction fee for a 1 week i earned around $17 and paid 0.43cents in BTC fees which is messed up imo.

756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin coinbase listing imminent ? on: April 19, 2017, 05:53:28 AM
the coinbase status page indicates that they are ready with the addition. i do not have a coinbase account to check if they have already added litecoin or not though.

https://status.coinbase.com/
click on the "Digital currencies" you can see litecoin is listed and it says "Operational"

It's no longer listed there  Huh wtf? :/

Cause they are Pump and Dumping , no better than a Penny Stock newsletter imo Smiley fucking brian armstrong, you'd think they would have some morals?

LOL so weird maybe Jihan wu got to them and told them to take it off...lmao!!! you can still trade it on Gdax which is an exchange for coinbase.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Polo removing these coins on: April 19, 2017, 05:51:32 AM
So just saw this notice on poloniex

On May 2, 2017, the following will be delisted: BBR, BITS, C2, CURE, HZ, IOC, MYR, NOBL, NSR, QBK, QORA, QTL, RBY, SDC, UNITY, VOX, XMG

Do you own any of these? What are you gonna do now? Sell or withdraw to your wallets?

That is an odd thing to do while some of these coins are pumping, unless it was them pumping the likes of MYR, RBY, NOBL, right before they give them the Axe.

It all smells a bit fishy

I agree I know a lot of people who are and were mining MYR i feel bad for them well there is always ybit and the other one.

I am so confused about using ccminer multialgo switching where can i get more info on mining for zpool? and using multi switching algo? i have 1 GTX 1070 i would really like to try it on.

i currently use Nicehash but its not the best return about $2.5 per day on average.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining wattage difference between Rx 470 and Rx 480 on: April 19, 2017, 05:14:13 AM
I have a rig with 6 Rx 470 4GBs that use between ~62 to ~84 watts in HWMonitor depending on how much I was able to undervolt the particular GPU. My total power draw at the wall for the entire system is 760 watts mining ZEC. Hope that helps.

Damn thats really good I am using/getting around 600watts on Ethereum for 4 RX 470
