141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / It's NOT a good time to invest in BTC. on: April 17, 2023, 07:27:46 AM
Hello bros, just want to make a new update on the bitcoin.
I started to see people asking if it was a good time to buy Bitcoin or not. I think it's a pretty lazy question cos everyone should do their own research, but if there people are truly wondering about it, I will try to give a short answer to it.

There were a couple of weeks after my last post about the best time to buy Bitcoin and my opinion STILL didn't change.
Yes, we can see that bitcoin is going up, we see that inflation is going down little by little and other signals. But I will keep advocating that we still didn't get rid of the MAIN reason economy is suffering and Bitcoin is not 60k.

Interest rates are still high and FED just keeps rising it. And that's where the real problem is. You should understand that some signals might be good and show that economy is recovering, but while inflation is still higher than needed, FED will keep rising or then holding interest rates. It means that it's NOT over and we might see another huge Bitcoin dump in a near future. It's obvious that some sectors of the economy showing some good results but only because of the LAG EFFECT of the interest rates.

I still think that we won't see real gains until inflation will go down enough and fed will start cutting interest rates. I said it before and I will say it again: I think the best time to buy bitcoin will be after interest rates will go down. It's easily the best signal to buy for me. And it's also the least risky one.

So be careful. If you truly don't know if you should buy or not, do some research and always look at the bigger picture and not some small local signals.
142  Economy / Services / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 | Review Campaign 🔎| Participate Now! | Get paid in BTC on: April 15, 2023, 08:21:22 AM
Hello everyone, this is my review of the Utopia P2P ecosystem.
I installed this app on a Mac and it works well. The first piece of advice I would give is to pay attention to where you want your wallet to be installed so you won't lose it.

Design
I like the design of the app, it looks clean and it's easy to find stuff that you need.

Indicator of the popularity
I like an indicator of the popularity of channels, but I think an image of stars looks like an indicator of the rating of the group. So it's not really intuitive, but the idea is great.

Channels
There are a lot of channels on different languages and about different topics which are good, but I think you should group up some of these chats (for example by language) for people to navigate through them easily.
I see that you can use a filter to do it, but I think it would be better if there would be groups/tags on the left panel so people will see them right away.

UUSD
I like that you use UUSD as a stablecoin, but it would be great to see proof of reserves because I think most people won't use UUSD without it.

Merchants
Merchants have the same problem as chat groups, you should group them up. Right now it just looks like a random list of websites. It also would be great to maybe implement a rating of these merchants so people can share their experiences

Moderation
I think some sort of channel moderation should be implemented. There are a lot of empty chats that were created like 3 years ago with no people or messages in them. It looks like spam and is hard to navigate.

uMail
I recommend adding a user email on uMail tag, so the user can easily share his email with others. Right now it's not obvious what should you use as an Email address.

Login items
When I installed Utopia on a Mac, a new login item was added (so Utopia can be active in the background). I recommend you rename it because its name doesn't have any connection with Utopia so it might look alarming to some users.

Website
I also think that it would be great if you will update the design of your website. It has the vibe of an anonymous project, but it looks rough which might scare off some users. A new design will look more professional. You might want to add a light theme as well.

Conclusion
The idea is great, I see that the project is evolving. It has a lot of elements, but these elements have small mistakes. If those mistakes will be fixed, I think Utopia will be pretty popular among crypto enthusiasts.

143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 14, 2023, 12:35:00 AM
Yes. The banking system is a pretty good and convenient one to use, but it has a lot of problems and is not anonymous. And your money is also NOT in your hands.
That's why we need crypto to change it. It literally solves all problems banks have. And I think people are realizing it now so I think adoption will be speeding up.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.S should embraced bitcoin on: April 13, 2023, 07:16:10 AM
It will embrace Bitcoin eventually, but I think it will take a loooong time to do it.

It's interesting to see that countries Turkey and El Salvador already adopted crypto in some way or just let people use it without regulations. But the US, which should be a leader in this money revolution, is dragging behind and still trying to regulate or ban crypto.

I think it shows that the US system is too rusty and old to accept positive and progressive changes.  And it will probably take a long time for the government to realise that the world is already adopting bitcoin and if US doesn't want to loose in this game, they should do it too.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of operating completely anonymous on: April 12, 2023, 02:37:01 AM
If anyone can please add their expertise here on being completely anonymous for the sake of the masses.

I think there is a lot of info on the internet about it. The best way is to stay away from social media, use the TOR browser or/and VNP, buy SIM cards that are not in your name, and use crypto through a mixer so your transactions won't be traced.

But I won't recommend doing this stuff if you want to commit a crime using crypto because it's giving crypto a bad reputation it doesn't deserve.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 10, 2023, 11:14:53 PM
This is crazy!
This country will go down in the history of Bitcoin.
I hope more countries will follow their example.

And I think they will be a great example to the whole world of how Bitcoin is good for the country.
And bitcoin as legal tender already shows a great result btw.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 10, 2023, 03:06:31 AM
Like would it be good if we could create a system that somehow will make the life of criminals who use Bitcoin harder?
That's not really a good idea.

If you create a system to make the life of <usergroup-A> harder, what's stopping you from using that same system to make the life of <usergroup-B/C/D..> harder for whatever reason you can think of.
Bitcoin is permissionless for a reason.

Yes! That's the problem. I don't see a solution to it and I think that is what will hunt Bitcoin for the next years.
We see that government doesn't want to adopt BTC and criminal use of it is one of the key arguments they have against adoption.
I think the problem of taxing Bitcoin might play a bigger role for them, but they probably will use the "dark web money" argument a lot, and our community has no answer to that cos that's how the technology works.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 10, 2023, 03:02:29 AM
I do not know about you, but in my personal perception and according to what I recall hearing and reading about Bitcoin from past years, the stigma on Bitcoin has been reduced drastically in comparison.

You are right, I agree! That's where education plays a huge role. But we still have A LOT of people who think otherwise, and, sadly, these people are the majority. And I still don't see countries adopting crypto education in schools and universities (there are some cases but it's very local).

So as I see it, the situation got way better, but we still have a long, looooong way to go. That's why I'm wondering if there are any ways to speed up this process.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have bought my Dream Mobile Phone Because of Signature Compaign earnings on: April 09, 2023, 12:52:25 AM
Wow, this is great!
Congrats man. BTT and crypto are really changing lives. I hope you will keep working in the crypto industry and promote this great technology.
Good luck!
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 12:50:08 AM
Hello everyone!
I've been thinking a lot about Bitcoin adoption lately and I think that adoption is still pretty slow partly because of the Bitcoin reputation. Despite it being a progressive technology of the future, a lot of people still think that it's a joke.

So there is different opinion among people about Bitcoin. Some people consider Bitcoin as "criminal money" because it's often used on the dark web and helps criminals to get away with selling drugs and stuff.
There are also people who think that Bitcoin is a bubble that will explode and lose its value, so they don't trust it. It's probably because these people don't know how Bitcoin and blockchain work.
And there is a third group of people who think that Bitcoin is used just for gambling so they don't want to buy it.

I think it would be good if we can convince these people that they are wrong. I know that an obvious way to do it would be an education, which will help A LOT. But as for now, do you think there are other ways to change these people's opinions?
Like would it be good if we could create a system that somehow will make the life of criminals who use Bitcoin harder?
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 08, 2023, 02:48:04 AM
I have the same problem. I hate spending Bitcoin because I feel like I'm spending more than I should consider that Bitcoin will grow.

But in reality, it's okay to spend it. It's what it was created for. So if you spent bitcoin you can just buy more of it and keep holding. Or you can have 2 bags of BTC: one you will hold and another one you can spend.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin remains value haters on: April 07, 2023, 05:47:41 AM
Bitcoin will be valuable even if 90% of the population won't believe in it. Bitcoin is valuable because of its technology.

But because a lot of people are using it right now, it's getting even more valuable. So bitcoin haters gonna lose and gonna lose hard.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the bottom or i have time to invest on: April 05, 2023, 11:20:58 PM
Don't feel like you missed anything. It's hard to predict where the button is gonna be. So if you want to buy Bitcoin just do it. If you think about it, bitcoin is still very very cheap compared to 2 years ago. So in some sense you are still early as hell.

If you will buy bitcoin right now and hold it for 5 or more years, you will see how early you actually bought it.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 05, 2023, 06:55:11 AM
Just tell him about the pros of the Bitcoin ecosystem and how we can use it. I think the best ad for Bitcoin is just its technology. And if the person still doesn't believe in it, then he is missing out A LOT.

So I don't recommend trying to prove something to these people. They will understand it themselves. But it would already be too late to buy.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Ultimate (simple) guide on when to buy Bitcoin. on: April 05, 2023, 06:51:46 AM
Hello everyone!

Recently I see a lot of questions being asked on this forum like "Is it the best time to buy Bitcoin??", "should I buy Bitcoin right now?" etc.
So I thought that it would be a great time to give a simple answer to these questions.

I already have topics when I talk about when to buy bitcoin, but here I want to simplify it for everyone who still wondering about the timing.

So, first of all, bitcoin is a GREAT technology and we all agree that it WILL go up and will cost much more in the future. That's why any time is actually a good time to buy Bitcoin. But if you want to lower the risks of investing in the wrong time, consider DCA. I still believe that DCA is the best method to invest money in Bitcoin.
So the simple answer: if you don't want to risks and you belive in Bitcoin tech, then go and start DCAing right now.

But for those who want to time Bitcoin, then right now is probably NOT the best time to buy BTC. Many people who say that Bitcoin has got up to 29k so it will keep going down just because, are probably wrong, cos they just ignore all macroeconomy statistics.
I said it the last time and I will say it again: The economy is STILL in a bad place. We should not forget that high-interest rates are destroying an economy to lower inflation. So we are not done and it's not over yet.

So when to buy Bitcoin then?
Personally, I still think that we should follow what FED is going right now because they decide what to do with interest rates. I think the best time to start buying Bitcoin will be the moment FED will start lowering interest rates. After that (now immediately) economy will start getting better and, obviously, bitcoin will go up too.
And I also think that when that will happen, bitcoin will be much lower than right now. Because statistically speaking, FED won't start lowering interest rates until something will go completely wrong and something big will collapse. Only that will be a good signal for them that it's time to stop.

So, to recap everything I said here: if you just don't care about timing and want to buy Bitcoin, then start buying it right now (but only by DCA), and if you care about timing and want to take a risk to get bigger gains, then wait for the FED to start lowering rates and for the economy to become better.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Elizabeth Warren says she’s building an anti-crypto army in new campaign on: April 04, 2023, 01:56:24 AM
Good luck fighting the crypto industry that is evolving very fast and adoption is just getting better and better.

I think it's nothing. They can't win over bitcoin and it's already widely used for them to ban it. And they also should respect the fact that crypto investors are an interest group that will surely vote against her and other opponents can use it to drag them on their side.

So I think in the end she will be forced to change this policy.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: April 03, 2023, 04:36:08 AM
The simple answer: NO.
If you want to know more about this you can read the post I made, but eventually, the problem is that a lot of crypto investors are ignoring the macroeconomy when they say that bitcoin is going up and it's a good time to buy. The main problem right now is a bad economy in the US and high interest rates that make everything even worse.

So basically, if you want to invest money in bitcoin right before it will go up, you need to wait for interest rates will start going down and the economy will start growing. I think it will be the best signal we can get.

I won't recommend you buying bitcoin right now cos we will probably see it finding a new button among with stock market, but if you still want to do it, just DCA and it would be a good decicion too.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: April 02, 2023, 01:34:32 AM
Right now it's a risky time to invest for sure.
I said it before and I will say it again: the crisis still continues and FED is still rising interest rates which is BAD for the economy.
And we also can see that the first stage of the FED pivot has begun. And it's important because statistically, we can see that after the beginning of it economy suffers a lot and everything is going even lower than before.

So I think if you want to play safe, it's better to wait for the big break down of for the fed to start lowering interest rates which will be the best sigh that everything will probably go up from now on.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 02, 2023, 01:28:10 AM
Hello crypto bros.
Today I want to discuss a pretty big problem that bitcoin adoption is facing.
Bitcoin is great in means of anonymous transactions and getting away from the banks and government control, but the problem is, it's the exact problem why criminals are using it. And it's a pretty big one. I'm not saying that criminals use bitcoin more than fiat, but we all can see that illegal services are widely accepting bitcoin.

The problem here is that the system should have some way to fight these criminals because we don't want bitcoin to be associated with drugs and sex trafficking,  but the problem is, by solving these problems we should get rid of anonymity which is a pillar for the bitcoin technology, so it can't be done. And this problem might be a big obstacle in mass bitcoin adoption and regulations that are coming.

So I want to hear your opinion: how to make bitcoin technology "safer" so we could fight a crime committed with crypto and help with bitcoin adoption without taking away the main features of bitcoin like decentralization and anonymity?
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 02:21:31 AM
Of course. You should always save money even if you are wealthy already. Don't forget that there never be enough money. And the more you have, the more you spend, so it's a good idea to keep saving in case all your money sources will go away one day for some reason.

And you can also use this money to give them to your kids when they will be older, which is good too.
