1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Abnormal BTC transfer in and out of address in the same block, how is possible? on: June 12, 2023, 07:49:44 AM
So the Tx from Kraken (in the mempool) is considered unconfirmed, and because it is in the mempool, it's ok to spend the utxo of this tx in another Tx?
Yes. You can spend unconfirmed outputs.
Just note that you can't get confirmation for the child as long as the parent hasn't been confirmed. If the fee rate used for the child is equal or greater than the parent, both transactions will be included in the same block.

Is it common to see this pattern in the blockchain?
Yes, you can see many of them in the blockchain.
1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Abnormal BTC transfer in and out of address in the same block, how is possible? on: June 12, 2023, 07:39:59 AM
The private key of address A was probably compromised and the thief stole the fund. That's all. It could be due to the device being compromised or using a fake wallet.
Note that miners can include both parent and child in the same block and there is no problem with that.

The thief saw the receiving transaction to the address A and made a transaction to address B while the transaction to address A was still unconfirmed.
The fee paid for these transactions was high enough and a miner included both of them in the same block.
1063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase Wallet not showing all my BTC on: June 11, 2023, 07:41:25 PM
I recommend you to use non custodial wallet for further BTC storage because coinbase wallet is web wallet and doesn't share the private keys with you so you can't access the funds without their permission.
Note that there are two different coinbase wallets. One of them is non-custodial and gives you a seed phrase and the other one is custodial.
I guess OP is referring to the non-custodial coinbase wallet here. If that's the case, he/she should be able to spend the fund once the receiving transaction gets one confirmation. It's also possible to import the wallet to electrum and spend the fund even when the receiving transaction is still unconfirmed.

It may worth mentioning that even their non-custodial wallet should be avoided. It's close source and there is no way to know how the keys are generated.
1064  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 11, 2023, 01:23:21 PM
Hosseinimr93 also says that Trezor is the best hardware wallet to use.
I mentioned Trezor, because it's surely one of the most popular hardware wallets. I didn't say Trezor is the best hardware wallet.
Visit the topic created by dkbit98 and see how the seed extraction vulnerability can cause users to lose their fund.
Trezor hacked (again)
1065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any way to display my total bitcoin balance over multiple electrum wallets? on: June 11, 2023, 12:42:56 PM
You can import some public keys into one Electrum wallet, watch-only.
For creating a watch-only wallet in electrum, you must import your address(es) or your master public key. There is no way to import a public key into electrum.
OP must import his/her addresses to create a watch-only wallet.

After that, you will total balance of all your wallets but because it is a Watch-only wallet, you only can watch its balance and can not spend your bitcoin.
If you want the fund to be spendable, you can import your private keys instead of your addresses.
1066  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 10, 2023, 04:10:58 PM
Master Hoseeinimr93, whenever you are telling people not to use a wallet for storing their coins because they are closed source, do not hesitate to give them a better option,
You can go for a good hardware wallet like Trezor. That's the best thing you can do. Visit the topic created by dkbit98 to know some other alternatives.
[LIST ] Open Source Hardware Wallets

If you can't afford to buy a hardware wallet or you don't want to use a hardware wallet for any other reason, you can use Unstoppable wallet. Visit the topic created by theymos.
Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts
1067  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can i download electrum for Bitcoin storage? on: June 10, 2023, 02:52:26 PM
I don’t know if I should check on App Store and download electrum from there or I search on goggle?
Since you referred to App Store, I guess you are looking for IOS version of electrum. If that's the case, note that electrum isn't available for IOS.
You can visit the official website and download electrum for Windows, macOS and Android.

Do not forget to verify your download. Below is the guide provided by DireWolfM14 on how to verify your download.

1068  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 10, 2023, 01:29:17 PM
There is nothing wrong with keeping your assets in the exchange as long as you choose the correct exchange or one that has been there for a long time, since there are many traders and small investors who do just that.
Not your keys, not your coins.
With keeping your bitcoin on an exchange, you give full control over your fund to a third party. Even if a centralized service has been around for a very long time, everything is still possible. They may go bankrupt or they may be hacked.

Because electrum only supports Bitcoin, you can keep your altcoins in Trustwallet or Metamask as a non-custodial wallet, which is considerably more secure than an exchange because you owned the private key.
Trust wallet is close source and I would never recommend anyone to use it. We don't know how keys are generated on trustwallet.
There is no guarantee that what happened to Atomic wallet recently won't happen to trustwallet.
1069  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 10, 2023, 12:13:39 PM
during my research I was recommended to use electrum wallet but I was confused if electrum wallet is an exchange or a custodial wallet, therefore i need a good direction, clarification and update of suitable wallet from senior colleagues.
Electrum is a non-custodial wallet which means that it gives you full access to your private keys. Since electrum is open-source and its code has been reviewed by many people, you can be sure that it's secure enough.

Note that if you want your fund to be completely secure, you should run electrum on an airgapped device. Any online device is always prone to hacking.

1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Transaction is not been processed on: June 10, 2023, 09:42:17 AM
but even though your transactions fee was that low I don't think so it should get more than two days before it gets confirmed, especially now that the issue of high transaction fee has come down and the network isn't as congested as before,
OP's transaction is around 35 vMB from the tip and I don't think it will be confirmed in the next 2 days.

maybe you should try to import your wallet on electrum and pump the fee, you can also use viabtc mining pool to decrease this transaction confirmation time, lastly i hope it's not an issue resulting to spending of unconfirmed transaction.
As already mentioned, OP's transaction hasn't been flagged as RBF and it's not possible to bump its fee.
Using ViaBTC free accelerator is also impossible.

It's an exchange wallet. I have no problem waiting as far as I can get my asset back
So, there is no way to use CPFP and you have to wait.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Transaction is not been processed on: June 10, 2023, 09:31:55 AM
Transaction id: a71288f1dc6a9da53e56c79a16f0bb94540a1d68a618c3c793438ec80ba7ffca
Fee rate: 6.71sat/vB
Your transaction hasn't been flagged as RBF and you can't bump its fee.
Since there is no change address in the transaction, you can use CPFP, only if you have full control over 1AZepsGtdPNoE369k6c8hMgWzVnkxQNbjd.

Where did you send the fund to? Does 1AZepsGtdPNoE369k6c8hMgWzVnkxQNbjd belong to a non-custodial wallet or a custodial service?
If the address belongs to a custodial service like an exchange, the only thing you can do is wait.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Transaction is not been processed on: June 10, 2023, 09:12:19 AM
The first question does Xverse wallet supports the replace by fee (RBF) method or CPFP method if it doesn’t then find a wallet that supports this and maybe import your seeds there.
In the case a transaction hasn't been flagged as RBF, you can't bump its fee, even if you import your wallet into a wallet supporting RBF.

Or better still, use the viabtc.com accelerator. You can just copy your transaction id and paste it on this site to help rebroadcast your transaction again
Viabtc doesn't rebroadcast transactions. If you submit your transaction to Viabtc, they will include it in the next block mined by them. That's different from rebroadcasting.
Note that for using ViaBTC free service, the fee rate must be equal or greater than 10 sat/byte. Otherwise, you have to use their paid service.

TO OP:
The image you shared doesn't help us know if your transaction has been flagged as RBF or you can use CPFP.
Can you share your transaction ID here? (Note that with sharing the transaction ID, you may harm your privacy.)
1074  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Multisig with Electrum on: June 08, 2023, 10:17:27 PM
Would you advise me to create the three seeds through the electrum software or through https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (BIP39) ?
I would definitely prefer using electrum. Since iancoleman uses javascript, I would never recommend using that for generating a seed phrase.
To know why it's not a good idea to generate a seed phrase using javascript, click here and read gmaxwell's explanation.
1075  Economy / Reputation / Re: Proxy3200 possible scammer on: June 08, 2023, 07:11:56 PM
I don't know if proxy3200 has been nuked already because I checked their profile and met zero activity, post and merit.
The user hasn't been banned. It would be reported on BPIP if he\she had been banned.
According to loyce.club, the user had made 1 post which has been deleted by moderators.

It seems that the user has registered the account only for advertising purposes.

1076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you learned about open and close source wallet? on: June 08, 2023, 04:34:45 PM
Electrum which is known as an open-source wallet had also been compromised when the majority of its server was controlled by hackers tricking the user to reveal their private key
Electrum has been never compromised.
Electrum versions older than 3.3.4 had a vulnerability which allowed servers to display any arbitrary message. Some servers abused this feature and asked users to download a fake version of electrum. This was completely different from what happened to Atomic wallet users.
Electrum victims had downloaded a fake version while Atomic wallet victims downloaded a real version. Electrum victims made a mistake with downloading the application from a website other than the official website and not verifying GPG signatures.
1077  Economy / Reputation / Re: Proxy3200 possible scammer on: June 08, 2023, 04:18:42 PM
With sending personal message to you (and probably some other users) and advertising his/her service, the user in question broke rule number 29.

29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

Report the message you received to admins. He/she will be probably banned.
1078  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: from closed source to open source wallet[what is the risk] on: June 08, 2023, 03:33:37 PM
Yes because they are not controlled by the owner of the wallet alone. But both the creator of the wallet and owner of the wallet. That means the both parties have access to coins.
Trustwallet is close source and we don't know how exactly it's working.
I would always consider the worst-case scenario for any close source wallet and assume that developers have access to the keys, but we can't say that trustwallet developers definitely have control over users wallets.

I thought Close Sources is not non custodian. Custodian = Close Source and Non custodian = Open Source. So I don't know why op said
A wallet can be close source and non-custodial.
Non-custodial means that users have access to the keys.
1079  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Exchange holding my funds (1.25 BTC) hostage for 45 days already on: June 06, 2023, 07:27:45 PM
Never ever use custodial wallets anymore.
Take note that blockchain.com isn't a custodial wallet. Their wallet is non-custodial and gives users access to their private keys. Of course, I would never recommend anyone to use it.
OP's fund is now in blockchain.com exchange, not their wallet.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Bitcoin Transaction Fees on: June 06, 2023, 09:51:41 AM
Laszlo could have used 1 sat/vB, but he instead chose to use 4,191 sat/vB over paying in transaction fees by 4191 time because in that particular block which contained only his transaction and the coinbase transaction.
laszlo could make that transaction even without paying any transaction fee.

I just checked transactions included in blocks 56000-58000.
561 (non-coinbase) transactions were included in those blocks. 560 out of 561 transactions have been made with zero fee and laszlo's transaction was the only one paying fee.
