901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happend to the mempool on the July 22nd ? on: August 03, 2023, 02:07:27 PM
Assuming both mempools dropped a lot of tx as they've reached the max size at the same time why hasn't the mempool filed up back again with transactions lover than 2sat/b as I don't doubt there are nodes with far more space than 300MB that would have still held them in their own pool and broadcast them??
What do you mean by both mempools?

Nodes may drop a transaction from their mempool due to reaching their maximum size limit, but it's not that they will put that transaction again in their mempool, whenever they have space for that. Take note that each node broadcasts and relay every transaction to other nodes only one time, unless someone rebroadcasts the transaction.
If you see your transaction has been dropped from mempool of some nodoes and you want  them to put your transaction in their mempool again, you have rebroadcast your transaction.
902  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet Security on: August 03, 2023, 11:15:21 AM
Yeah, it's true that in case of 2-3 multisig, if you lose one part of seeds or if someone steals one part of seeds, you'll still be able to fully recover your wallet
As already said this thread, you can't recover your 2 of 3 multi-signature wallet, if you have lost one of seed phrases and you don't have the master public key derived from that.
Take note that for recovering a 2 of 3 multi-signature, all three master public keys are required. If you have two of seed phrases, two of master public keys are derived from them and you need to have the master public key derived from the lost seed phrase as well.
903  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: August 02, 2023, 03:36:07 PM
As o_e_l_e_O mentioned, I also do not like enabling 2FA with 3rd party as it charges more fees and who knows, they may cause trouble sometimes.
I also don't like electrum 2FA wallet as it charges extra fee. But note that even if you use electrum 2FA wallet, you will still have full control over your fund and there won't be any trouble if you keep your seed phrase safely. Two of master private keys and all three master public keys can be derived from seed phrase of a 2FA wallet and if you have the seed phrase, you can disable 2FA at any time.
904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is there any way to see total received coins in a list on: August 02, 2023, 03:12:00 PM
This is the same list as the Rich List which has been provided by bitinfocharts and as mentioned above by OmegaStarScream, that's not what OP is looking for.
OP wants the list of all bitcoin addresses that has been sorted by total amount of bitcoin they have ever received, not their balance.
905  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: wallet address on: August 01, 2023, 05:19:18 PM
Are you using the desktop version of electrum or the mobile version?
If you are using the desktop version, do what OmegaStarScream said above.

If you are using the mobile version, tap on "Receive" button and then "Create request". In the new screen, tap on "Address" button under the QR Code. The QR code contains your bitcoin address and you can give it to anyone. To see your address in text format, tap on the QR code.
You can also tap on your wallet name at top left corner of the screen and select "Addresses" to see all your addresses.

Warning:
Make sure that you have downloaded electrum from the official website and you have verified your download.
Double check the address after copy-pasting that. There are clipboard malwares that can replace the copied address with hackers address.
906  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: SINBAD.io MIXER July Bitcoin Price Prediction Challenge on: August 01, 2023, 04:38:56 PM
Can someone find me the exact price at 10:00 UTC on 30th July in coinmarketcap? I will need to double check the price with the price in my end.
$29,294.04?
It was 29,288.37

907  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: August 01, 2023, 02:54:33 PM
My wallet is already encrypted and needs a password to make a transaction. I don't remember if I have seen the pin thing. Is the 3rd party 2fa thing available in Electrum, which may cost extra transaction fees?
Agbe is referring to a feature which is available on the mobile version of electrum.
In the mobile version of electrum, you can set a pin code which is a 6 digit number and will be asked from you every time you want to make a transaction. That's different from the 2FA code in the 2FA wallet that is provided by a third party called trustedcoin.
908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitcoinCash launch on: August 01, 2023, 10:09:43 AM
Any bitcoin transaction that has been included in blocks 0-478558 exists in BCH blockchain as well. This means that if you had bitcoin when block number 478558 was mined, you can use the private key of your bitcoin address to spend your BCH.

909  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction pending after 1 week on: July 31, 2023, 10:56:13 PM
But I don't understand why. More specifically, why would miners not replace three transactions at 10 sat/vB (for example) by a single one at 11 sat/vB ? Because of course it's less fees overall, but also less space used, so the important metric should be the fee/space_used ratio (that is, the sat/vB rate). What am I missing?
I think that's to make abusing RBF feature more expensive.

Edit: or maybe miners would mine it but the transaction isn't relayed by nodes because it's just not in compliance with the BIP?
Miners are free to include any valid transaction. Miners can include the replacing transaction, even if it pays less fee. But since almost all nodes follow standard rules, your replacing transaction has to meet the requirements stated in BIP125.
910  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction pending after 1 week on: July 31, 2023, 05:26:59 PM
I tried to change of servers, the 14 days correspond to the first day i have sent the transaction or 14 days on a server?
Your transaction will be dropped from mempool of most nodes 14 days after they were broadcasted to the network (7 days from today).
Take note that you didn't change anything with connecting to a different server.
911  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction pending after 1 week on: July 31, 2023, 04:06:32 PM
I have just seen this. He supposed to increase the child transaction fee, not the parent. Although, I am surprised that the parent (the first transaction) was unable to increase in fee. But how about increasing the child transaction fee. Probably that should work.
BIP125 says that:

Quote
3. The replacement transaction pays an absolute fee of at least the sum paid by the original transactions.
4. The replacement transaction must also pay for its own bandwidth at or above the rate set by the node's minimum relay fee setting. For example, if the minimum relay fee is 1 satoshi/byte and the replacement transaction is 500 bytes total, then the replacement must pay a fee at least 500 satoshis higher than the sum of the originals.

The thing I am not sure about is what exactly "original transactions" refers to.
Does it mean the transactions that have the same input(s) as the replacing transaction or their unconfirmed children are also included?

Considering what happened to OP when trying to increase the fee, it seems that it's the latter.

If that's the case and OP wants to replace the first transaction with a new one, there are four transactions that must be removed from the mempool.
The absolute fee that is paid for the replacing transaction must be bigger than the total fee paid for those four transactions which is around 0.000039 BTC.
According to rule number 4, the replacing transaction must pay another ~140 satoshi too.

In the case my calculations are correct and OP wants to replace the first transaction with a new one, the replacing transaction must have the fee rate of around 30 sat/vbyte.
912  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction pending after 1 week on: July 31, 2023, 03:29:26 PM
The more you increase the fee, the more you have to waste money.
If you are not in hurry, wait for 1 more week. If your transactions are not confirmed by that time, most nodes will drop them from their mempool and you will be able to make a new transaction without having to pay a very big fee.

By default, transactions are dropped from the mempool, if they remain unconfirmed for 14 days.
913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alright someone please explain this on: July 31, 2023, 03:16:31 PM
Or you can use a second alternative besides trustwallet.com, namely: Meta Mask, maybe it's better, if you want to try it.
Since you are suggesting MetaMask, I think you misunderstood OP.
OP doesn't have any problem with ethereum transactions and is asking why bitcoin transactions are slow.

Metamask doesn't support bitcoin and OP can use electrum for bitcoin transactions.
Of course, trustwallet also allows users to set the fee rate for bitcoin transactions manually, but as it's close-source and lacks many features like RBF, coin control, etc. I recommend everyone to avoid it.
914  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction pending after 1 week on: July 31, 2023, 02:45:56 PM
You have made all those four transactions between your own addresses and that's why it's only the transaction fee that is deducted from your wallet.

The solution to get rid of those unconfirmed transactions is right-click on the one you made first and increase the fee.
I mean this transaction: ba2c48b7497a10bd5dae0d74f2954bb14d1c29cfc82e5d6fcc581ad905ff7a06

With increasing the fee, you will make that transaction confirmed faster and you will also make the other three transactions invalid.

The error message you get when increasing the fee is clear. As mentioned by stompix above, you should increase the fee a bit more.
If you want to get a fast confirmation, you need the fee rate of around 10 sat/vbyte. Take note that the required fee rate is dynamic and it may change over time.
915  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: July 31, 2023, 12:41:30 AM
Do you know that every new version comes with some sort of security enhancement or at least remove any vulnerabilities found in the previous version.
There is no vulnerability in the version of electum which is used by OP and it's not that the new version is more secure than that.
Usually, the new versions are released due to some improvements that have nothing to do with security of the wallet.
916  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [HELP] Electrum script failed on: July 30, 2023, 07:10:38 PM

The error means that you have signed the transaction with a wrong private key. In other words, you couldn't prove that you own the coins you are trying to spend.
How did you create your wallet?
Do you have the seed phrase? If so, create a new wallet. Maybe, the wallet file is corrupted.

If you haven't created the wallet by yourself and you have purchased the wallet file, you have been scammed.
917  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: July 30, 2023, 06:06:57 PM
But I will create another wallet and move my funds for further security.
If you are going to create the new wallet in the same device and in the same way, it would be as secure as the wallet you are now using an you wouldn't really increase your security.
After some time, you will probably worry about the security of your wallet again and you will think of creating another wallet.

If you want to be completely secure, you should create your wallet on an air-gapped device or go for a hardware wallet.
918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alright someone please explain this on: July 30, 2023, 11:33:17 AM
If I receive ether from someone and having 1 confirmation, but I can send it to another person after 1 confirmation?
Yes, you can spend the fund once the receiving ETH transaction gets its first confirmation.

But I think I can get you now, what you meant is how secure the transaction is?
Exactly.
As you know, if you make a bitcoin transaction and the fee rate is high enough, you will get the first confirmation in 10 minutes on average.
If you make an ethereum transaction and the gas price is high enough, your transaction won't be as secure a bitcoin transaction with 1 confirmation after 10 minutes.
919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alright someone please explain this on: July 30, 2023, 11:06:12 AM
Someone will correct me if I amw wrong, but I doubt that you can set the fee manually using Trust wallet whihc could explain your transactyions being slow.
Trustwallet allow you to set the fee rate for bitcoin transactions manually.

While sending from noncustodial wallet address to noncustodial wallet address?
Yes. If the gas price you use for an ethereum transactions is sufficient, your transaction would be confirmed in a few seconds. Of course, this doesn't mean ethereum transactions are faster than bitcoin transactions.
920  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alright someone please explain this on: July 30, 2023, 10:57:29 AM
Bitcoin transactions aren't slower than ethereum transactions.
You may get the first confirmation for a ethereum transaction much faster, but your ethereum transaction requires much bigger number of confirmations, so that it's equivalent to a bitcoin transaction with only 1 confirmation.
