801  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Claim.usdcircle.io legit or scam? on: August 30, 2023, 04:54:30 AM
I would never trust a website which has been registered only 19 days ago.

If you check their website, you will see that whatever button you click on, it asks you to connect your wallet to their website. You can't even visit "About us" or "Contact Us" pages without connecting your wallet to their website. I doubt such pages exist at all.

In their homepage, they claim that they have partnership with BlackRock, Mastercard, Visa, etc. It's obvious that they are lying and they are scammers.
802  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 29, 2023, 10:17:05 PM
I think since on 14 August I have been struggling to have my funds confirmed and delivered to my Binance account but it couldn't delivered for the past 2 weeks plus even for the transaction to reversed back to my wallet was impossible
By default, transactions are dropped from the mempool, if they stay unconfirmed for 14 days.
Nodes can have a different setting, but most of them use the default setting and your transaction should have been dropped from the mempool of most nodes after 14 days.
Nodes still had your transaction in their mempool even after 14 days, because your transaction was rebroadcasted on August 27.
803  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 29, 2023, 02:00:40 PM
I am being heart broken for not rewarding you for your time and energy, basically I have lost hope of this fund I never knew it would get back to me and, you help me to restore back my funds and you declined my little reward to you sir ?
SmartGold01, you never lose your bitcoin just because a transaction stays unconfirmed.
An unconfirmed transaction isn't at the blockchain at all. Nodes have unconfirmed transactions in their mempool and sooner or later those unconfirmed transactions will leave their mempool.
Unconfirmed transactions will be confirmed and added to the blockchain or will be dropped from the mempool due to the node reaching its maximum mempool size or staying unconfirmed for a certain period of time.

Please drop here or pm me your trc20 address I will reward you with $7 usdt for your time and for teaching me something I have never thought of my life
No need. Thank you. It was my pleasure to help you.
805  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 29, 2023, 12:58:32 PM
My balance is back.. So what next sir?
Right click on the local transaction and select "Remove".
After that, go to "Send" tab and make your transaction again. With more fee this time.

For making the new transaction, enter the address you want to send the fund to in "Pay to" field.
Click on "Max" or enter the value you want to send in "Amount" field.
Click on "Pay".

In the new window, click on "Setting" button at top right corner of the window and check "Edit fees manually".

Enter the fee rate you want to use for your transaction in "Mining fee" field.
Set it to at least 8 sat/vbyte. If you want your transaction to be confirmed fast, set it to around 13 sat/vbyte.
806  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 29, 2023, 12:35:33 PM
I just signed in to my Electrum wallet and still remain unconfirmed and is not in local..
Did you try connecting to other servers?
Click on the green circle at bottom right corner of the window. Right click on one of the servers under "Connected nodes" and then select "Use as server".

If the transaction status has changed to "Local", right click on it and select "Remove".
If the transaction status is still "Unconfirmed", click on the green circle and try another server this time.

Look at the following image. I created a watch-only wallet using your address on electrum.
As you can see, that unconfirmed transaction is not shown and the balance is 0.002125 BTC.

807  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 29, 2023, 11:27:06 AM
Now try to broadcast that copied raw txn to a blockexplorer/node that supports full-rbf, try in https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/pushtx/
It's great that blockcypher's node supports full RBF. I didn't know that.

SmartGold01, according to mempool.space, the purging fee rate is now around 5.9 sat/vbyte.
If you check your wallet now, there's a big probability that your transaction status has changed to "Local". If that's the case, you can simply remove it and broadcast a new transaction in electrum itself and without any need to use blockcypher service.
If your transaction status hasn't changed to "local", try connecting to different servers.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Reliability of sites such as mempool.space for estimating fees. on: August 29, 2023, 11:00:40 AM
For having a good estimation, the best thing you can do is to check and analyze the mempool by yourself. To do so, you can use jochen-hoenicke website.
At the time I am writing this post, mempool.space is suggesting the fee rate of 11 sat/vbyte for high priority and 9 sat/vbyte for low priority. If you check jochen-hoenicke website, you will see that you can put your transaction at 1 vMB from the tip with only 7 sat/vbyte.

If I want to make a transaction now and I want it to be confirmed very fast, I would set the fee rate to around 10 sat/vbyte.
If I can wait for a few hours, 7 sat/vbyte is more than enough.
809  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How To Check How Much BTC in each BTC Address in Nano Ledger S Plus? on: August 29, 2023, 08:56:16 AM
I don't know if there are block explorers that support that
The only block explorer I know is blockchain.com which allows you to see your transaction history and balance with a master public key using the following URL.
Of course, that's not much helpful, as it doesn't work if you have a ypub or zpub.

Code:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/xpub/xpub...........................

jerry0, with using your master public key for seeing your balance, you may harm your privacy.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about CPFP / RBF on: August 29, 2023, 07:03:38 AM
Given the number of nodes and the amount of hashrate now supporting full RBF, then you can essentially now replace any transaction whether or not it is flagged as RBF, and so stuck transactions should be a thing of the past. If your wallet software does not let you do this, then switch to a better wallet.
o_e_l_e_o, do you know any SPV wallet that allow doing so?
If I am not wrong, to replace a transaction that has not been flagged as RBF with a new one, you have to run your own node, enable full RBF, broadcast your transaction and hope that your node connects to a node that has enabled "full RBF".
Correct me if I am wrong, please.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to understand bitcoin and wallets before investing on: August 29, 2023, 05:22:00 AM
Coinbase,  Trust wallet,  Metamusk, blockchain.com etc.
There are two coinbase wallets. One is custodial and has full control over your fund and due to obvious reasons, it's not recommended. Coinbase non-custodial wallet is close-source and that should be avoided too.
Trustwallet and blockchain.com are also close-source and shouldn't be used.
Metamask (not metamusk) doesn't support bitcoin.

Please don't suggest something you don't have correct information about.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: August 28, 2023, 07:06:35 PM
Gambling websites usually have provably fair games which means that the outcomes are determined through a known algorithm and they can be verified by players. There is no way for the house to change the outcomes and it doesn't matter when you play.
Take note that due to the house edge, it's always expected that the house earns a guaranteed profit in the long run. For example, in a casino with the house edge of 2%, it's expected that you lose 2% of the total amount you bet in the long run and the time you make your bets doesn't matter at all.

This is assuming the game is provably fair and there is nothing hidden from users.
813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the differences between these wallets? on: August 28, 2023, 05:35:53 PM
But if you are using a wallet like a hardware wallet, then you could call that wallet a cold wallet or offline wallet because it will not be running all the time, whereas Trust wallet will run as long as your phone or any other device is online.
Being online or offline has nothing to do with how much you run your wallet.
A wallet is offline if your keys are generated and kept offline. Even if your hardware wallet is always connected to your computer and it's always running, your wallet is still offline. In the case you use electrum to generate a wallet on an online device, it can't be considered as a cold wallet even if you delete your wallet immediately and never use it again.
814  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum on: August 28, 2023, 05:15:42 PM
Code:
make_seed(nbits=256, seed_type="standard")
This command generates a 24 word legacy seed phrase.
As it's always recommended to use segwit wallets, it may worth mentioning that you can use the following commands to generate a 24 word segwit seed phrase.

Code:
make_seed(nbits=256, seed_type="segwit")

Or

Code:
make_seed(256)

Edited.
Thanks Yamane_Keto for the correction.

You have sent all your emails to an incorrect email address. For contacting them via email, you should send message to support@freebitco.in.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to understand bitcoin and wallets before investing on: August 28, 2023, 09:49:40 AM
.........so after opening a trust wallet.............
You said that people should do proper research before investing in bitcoin. I doubt you have done so yourself. Otherwise, you would know that trustwallet is not a good choice.
Take note that trustwallet is close source and there is no way to know how the keys are generated.

everything concerning the wallet was written by him and after two months I misplaced my mobile phone and that is how misplaced my bitcoin, when I asked my instructor of way forwards of retrieving my bitcoin he said since I have lost my phone its the end of my bitcoin
What?
Someone wrote down the  seed phrase for you and after two months you lost your phone. Am I getting you correctly?
If you have access to your seed phrase (assuming that person hasn't stolen your bitcoin), you should be able to recover your wallet.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about CPFP / RBF on: August 27, 2023, 05:04:12 PM
The only address that can actually use RBF is address A because it remains the original sender of the coins. B to C transaction is CPFP and yet to confirm so B also cannot use RBF.
This is wrong.

Assuming there's an RBF-enabled unconfirmed transaction from address A to address B and another RBF-enabled transaction sending the fund from address B to address C, both transactions can be replaced by a new one paying higher fee using RBF method.

If the transaction made from address A to address B is replaced by a new one paying higher fee, it can get confirmed faster, but the transaction from address B to C will be invalidated.
If the transaction made from address B to address C is replaced by a new one paying higher fee, it can get confirmed faster and if the fee rate used for the replacing transaction is higher than the fee rate used for the transaction from address A to address B, the transaction from A to B is also accelerated.
818  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum on: August 27, 2023, 04:43:13 PM
What do you mean by checking? Do you worry that you send some fund to your wallet and then you won't be able to spend the fund?
Create a new wallet on electrum. Select "I already have a seed" and import your seed phrase. After creating the wallet, go to "Addresses' tab and check if you see the same addresses.
(If you don't see "Addresses", click on "View" on top of the window and check "Addresses".)

Do you worry about security of your wallet?
If so, take note that any online device is always prone to hacking. If you have created your wallet on an online device, there is no way to make sure that your wallet is completely secure. People find out their wallet is compromised when it's late and their fund is stolen.
If you want your wallet to be completely secure, you should create your wallet on an air-gapped device.
819  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: August 27, 2023, 04:16:21 PM
I just checked the transaction in some block explorers.
mempool.space and blockchain.com have received the transaction around 2 weeks ago. blockchair.com and blockcypher.com have last seen the transaction around 7 hours ago.

I am not sure, maybe trustwallet rebroadcasts unconfirmed transactions automatically.
SmartGold01, if trustwallet does so, your transaction will stay in the mempool of nodes, until the network becomes less congested and miners include transaction paying 5 sat/vbyte. This will probably take a very long time.
I recommend you to delete your wallet from trustwallet and only use electrum or at least don't open trustwallet.
As already said, most nodes drop transactions from their mempool 14 days after they receive it and after that you will be able to make a new transaction. This won't happen if your transaction is rebroadcasted again and again.

Before deleting your wallet from trustwallet, make sure you have backed up the seed phrase and you can recover the wallet.
