The earth is a gyroscope. That's why it maintains the basic pole star direction that it does for as long as it does.

Many things show that the earth isn't flat... like mountains and valleys, and that you can't find anything that is flat, and the horizon when the eye is near the ground, and the combined triangulation of the triangulations of two 90-day-apart spacial parallaxes with a star and the sun, and trying to refute Astargath's flawed science.
