NEW MULTI-ALGO AURPOOL READY!

http://aurpool.com:8080

If you still have your miners pointed at the "old" aurpool.com, please change them over to the new ports. For scrypt that is:

stratum+tcp://aurpool.com:port (Port: 1001, Diff: 32 Port: 1002, Diff: 128 Port: 1003, Diff: 256 Port: 1004, Diff: 1024)

Please also transfer out all remaining funds from the "old" pool. If you need assistance, please contact me in pm or at martin@ltex.nl

The "old pool" will be shut down after block 225.000 has been mined.

This pool is run and maintained by Jess Foddrill (ny2cafuse) and Martin Jansen (LTEX)
Nice.

What's the pool fee?

Don't know for sure but I think it's 0%

It's 1%.  Gotta keep the lights on somehow.

What big development releases for May / June after Multi-Algo ?

What about PoS and merge mining?

News will be released in the coming weeks.  The first order of business is making sure there's a smooth changeover to multialgo, and then ISX.IS goes live.  After that, releases will be announced when they are done.

As far as PoS and merge mining go, we've already discussed this in the thread.  It's not going to happen.

The macroeconomic view on price is that in the medium term we need fluid AUR supply to be at minimum worth one ten-thousandth of the Icelandic money supply for effective commercial use. This again means that AUR/BTC needs to be at around 0.0024 if hodling is at 90% of the AUR supply.

In the future, as hodling decreases and a greater proportion of AUR becomes fluid, we will also need proportionally even more AUR for transactions if all goes well (e.g. for 1 in 1000 transactions), which would mean that AUR/BTC needs to increase further to satisfy the demand.

The above only addresses the medium-of-exchange facet of AUR, ignoring the store-of-value driver (beyond hodling), which also has an effect on price.

The predicament facing short sellers when a bear market reverses its trend and becomes bullish. The assets continue to sell in anticipation of further declines in price, and short sellers then are forced to cover at higher prices.

Since the multi-algo is just about to kick in, I was wondering if there are any miners here that can help me with what I need to do to mine on my gpu or cpu.

I have a gaming computer, windows 10 with a Nvidia gpu and Intel i5 cpu.

I was wondering if I should be using Cudaminer or some other software to mine the 3 new algos: grostl, qubit and skein.

And finally how do I set up my config file to mine these algos?

ccminer -a qubit -o <pool> -u <user> -p <passwd>

-a algo can be qubit, myr-gr, or skein

I was having trouble starting to mine the new algos on my Win10 i5 cpu + Nvidia gpu home computer.

Then I found this little gem on page 1 on Myriad coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.0 under "Mining Starter Bundle (referenced in video)" . It's a zip file with one bundle to mine all the algos exept SHA256 (http://goo.gl/1FoKVY)

All you have to do is go in the config folder, and add the address and PORT number for each algo:
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://aurpool.com:PORT",
      "user" : "Username",
      "pass" : "Password"

They also have a switching program to mine the most efficient algo. NB this switching program is for MYR not AUR. Perhaps we should ask the MYR devs to help us by forking it for Auroraocoin.

This is by fare the most simple mining guide/bundle I have found for normal people who have a PC at home and want to use it to mine.

The exchange will go out of beta a few days later. Trading (and registration) has been already possible though.

For nvidia cards you really need to use a CUDA miner such as ccminer, as you will get much better hash rate than using sgminer which uses OpenCL which AMD cards excel at.
MutliAlgo switching can be done with both programs, but it requires the pools stratum processes to be built in such a way that it will disconnect the connection to the least profitable algo, and only allow connection to the most profitable algo. In the case of sgminer, it fails over on to the more profitable algo in this way, and with ccminer you write a once connection attempt algo loop.

After some digging around I find this 24 hrs later http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/compute-2-1/. Turns out I need CCminer21 since I have Nvidia GeForce 560 Ti

My config.bat is like this : ccminer21  -a groestl -o stratum+tcp://aurpool.com:4001  -u AuroracoinAddress

Multi Algo mining kicks in at block 225,000. We are at 224,981. Should be ready for multi algo mining in a few hours.
