I have a little game to pass the time...  Cool

If you've followed Spreadcoin for longer than 4 months and are still invested, type a reply with +101.

It'll be cool to see how many individuals follow SPR.

+101... traded spread on see-sex bout a year ago then dumped most before delisting.
started mining & bought back in last month after discovering 24 stray coins in a recovered wallet

Maybe he means wait until the wallet has new features that he is working on so that we don't need to pay for an update to the app.

An Android app is in the works, but I haven't seen the details to know if that extends to a wallet.

If it becomes an issue, which I doubt, we can fund a wallet so it doesn't distract from the main focus.

+10?

Following but not “invested” as such in that I contributed some laptop hashpower in the early days until the difficulty got established, during which time I managed to mine a few blocks and have not subsequently sold the coins.

But, on another tack:

The Other Side of the Coin: User Experiences with Bitcoin Security and Privacy <- a quantitative and qualitative survey of Bitcoin users/usability (n=990)
Quote
195 (19.7%) participants claimed to be running a full Bitcoin server that is reachable from the Internet. The top-mentioned reason for running a Bitcoin server was to support the Bitcoin network (60.5%), followed by fast transaction propagation (46.6%), network analysis (30.3%) and double-spending detection (26.1%).

First app is simple.  It shows basic market data and the value of your wallet.  Second app will notify you on service node payments or mining rewards.  Should be ready in the next few days.  I'm testing at the moment.

That's brilliant! So the first app is nearly ready and the second has to be built yet?

First app is finished and will be on Google play and iTunes as soon as they get approved for listing. Second app should be a few weeks away.

Has there been any word on our case with poloniex? Or will that wait until after the SN's are on the main net?

I was reading through the old forum and saw that the price of spreadcoin.com used to be around 3000 euros. Now it is much cheaper - about 730 euros!

But, what if we change the name at some point?

About 3 months after Darkcoin was launched, I did my homework before investing serious time and effort into supporting Darkcoin. Here were my conclusions on their weaknesses and what they needed to do to improve on the weaknesses:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=579976.0

I think I pretty much nailed it, given where the project is today. Name got changed; they are working on apps (finally got there after about 14 months of me harassing and then joining SPR to focus on apps); and there is a bigger team enabling work to be carried out in parallel.

So, I'm willing to bet that Spreadcoin will get a name change at some point. It will just need a period of time before it becomes evident why, and what the name options will be.
