I make no secret that I'm impatient and wish things moved more quickly but at the same time I'm very grateful that Georgem is coding from scratch and not just reusing code from another project.

Once first testnet is running, code will be on Github and more devs can join the party.

It has been a long time since Spreadcoin could be considered a simple copy and paste from Darkcoin.

+101

If it was easy, someone would have done it by now.

It can only be a good thing to build something, so you know its done right and what to fix when things don't always go the way you want or people try to attack the code.
If you want to be a moderator, report many posts with accuracy. You will be noticed.

I would support a name change if it's the right one.

It's still early for Spreadcoin, so a name change sooner
rather than later would be a good idea.

A few name ideas...

1. Intersection
2. Residents
3. Sphere
4. Hub

I sort of like Openstream, as one of many other possible options.

Like, we're not blocking anything  Grin

But also, because we are open, and streaming all sorts of stuff.

Those... cold... black... eyes...

It has been nice to see that the number of twitter followers has grown by a good percent since the January update!

Would be nice to see some newcomers come to the forums! Though, I can't help but think some people are just watching from the sidelines at the moment.

I like Openstream, and the ticker OPSTR would be cool, but I think that it is less cool than Spreadcoin Wink !

IBM may be using blockchain technology but it is not decentralized from what I can tell.

She payed for one year so to speak, I payed for an additional year. For every domain that is.
That's why they are now all registered until 2018.
One problem less to care about.  Cool

BTW, I am using namesilo.com for domain registration. They are awesome, cheap and you can pay with BTC.

If you guys want to support me with the ongoing payments for domains/servers please use my affiliate link next time you register a domain:

https://www.namesilo.com/?rid=ec92085ck

...and I'll get a little piece of the action.  Smiley

The moment I find a reliable hosting provider that accepts BTC I'll move the official websites.
Any recommendations? They need to offer root server access.

I wasn't aware of them, and planned to use Namecheap for my future registrations. I remember that I found a cheap german VPS host. I'm sorry but I'm a bit new in this area. Is it VPN that host websites ?

It's VPS not VPN.

But I'm not interested in VPS either. I need something with a little bit more "meat". Smiley
Usually called "root server" or "dedicated server".
(high availability, atleast 24 Gb RAM, multicore, full root access, allowing me to install my own OS, etc..)

Can cost up to 60-70 $ / month in BTC.

Yes, that was just a typo. They offer VPS and they accept Bitcoin. They offer you to choose the OS you want. If 60$ per month is cheap for you Cheesy ! I thought something like 7$. I'll manage to find them back. I'll post the link here when I would have found them.

Well, I have pretty realistic expectations about what to expect for 7$ a month. Not much, that is.

Currently I host all spreadcoin related websites (and some of my own projects) on servers like this:

https://www.hosteurope.ch/en/server/root-server/

Finally I managed to find it. Their website is https://noez.de. They don't offer an English version of their website, so I hope that German isn't too hard for you to understand. I recommend you to check if their still operating by sending them a mail, because they still list Egopay as a way of payment, even if this service closed a long time ago.
