community takeovers are a waste of time. Good luck.

wrong

look at DMD Diamonds which had a community takeover early 2014
and how successful it is now

such things can work great
if dedicated people lead a coin
instead of create dump let it die devs
who start one coin after the other

You are correct.

In the case of LiteDoge and many other crypto coins the term "Community Takeover" actually means "Community Managed/Driven".

It is inevitable that dev's will eventually leave their coin for some reason or other, which results in a "community takeover".

This is where communities have direct control over key project decisions as well as the management thereof. Thus the potential gains of a "community takeover" are undoubtedly large, reversing existing power relations that creates a voice for all.

It is expected that this will result in the undertaking of self-initiated development activities, that is more responsive to the needs of the community and gaining synergy through shared initiatives.  All are a now responsible, not just one individual - less risk and more fun.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

The wallet Proof of Stake work great and by the next block halving or two it will make coins will the coins out there more rare as time goes on.  Wink

Our developers have not gone anywhere... and won't.  Yes, this is a community coin now.  We (on IRC) have already been discussing what needs to happen to further reduce inflation since the block time change didn't make it into the current wallet.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Yes, that will require another hard fork so I don't expect that to happen very soon.  So we all have some time to talk about it.  Let's get the conversation going.

I don't trade on either but we'd get more volume on Cryptsy. Both would be wins for gaining more Asian traders.

I learned what happened and I feel maincoin is right. But the community should not be punished for dev's action.

The site is back online since I paid for it. When the hosting expires it will be redirect to the official site.

Let's hope for the best.
