It was a good series for Australia. They are unbeaten in the last 8 matches. Seems like they are enjoying their win.

I am reconsidering my world cup tops. I would not wonder if Australia win it. What do you guys think?

It is not going to change anything, as Pakistan is a relatively weak team. I would admit that the prospects of the Australian team once they are able to defeat teams such as India, England and South Africa regularly. Their opening combo of Khawaja/Finch is very inconsistent and the pacers such as Behrendorff and Richardson are not really world class.

To be fair with Pakistan, they were playing with new players in the whole series for the experiment sake. they are still a very dangerous side in the world because of their unpredictable performance.

Oz clicking everything right atm now their bench strength looks very strong as well, every player competing for World cup squad. for world cup semis I would like to see.

India vs Pakistan fixture is in my mind and every cricket fan, notably in ICCI mind too because this fixture alone can cover all expenses of World cup and if by any chance they both playing final against each other then ICCI will say now Lambo now Moon lol.

I am still not sure that Australia going into finals. not ignoring their recent performance and capabilities, momentum is with them and there is no doubt about that but I am backing the teams with their 1-year performance.

This scenario can change with only one game let's say Pakistan, Australia or any other team beating India and England in Semis. all we need is one bad day for the team and they are out from the World cup race.

Yup. I would admit that their performance against India was exceptional. I was only saying that the present Pakistan team is not exactly top-ranking material. The Aussies don't have any international matches before the world cup. So the performance of Australian players such as Lynn, Tye, Cutting, Warner, Smith, Watson, and Behrendorff during the IPL will give a good idea about their current form. Their first match in the CWC is against Afghanistan, and I expect them to win with ease.

IPL 2019, Match 16, DC vs SRH,Delhi losing their last seven wickets for just eight runs in Mohali in their last game,would like to forget that game quickly and concentrate on the upcoming clashes.SRH are in some amazing form at the moment and their top-order is doing the bulk of the scoring.i will go with SRH for their all-round performance.

Numbers not supporting Pakistan Team at the moment but will not rule them out completely due to only one reason. their unpredictable attitude towards the Game. This world cup going to be a tough competition because Oz team looks very competitive now which was not the case 3 months back. South Africa and New Zealand already have a reputation of playing competitively against the opponent.

It's really difficult to find a winner at this stage when the tournament has more then one and half months or may be more than two months left.

The only expectation I have from world cup is to see an entertaining tournament.

Yes mate it was big upset for indian team because of the Indian team out from the world cup with first round, but this time I sure that Indian team will be reach semi final without any upset.

Hey while the tournament is yet to start I can sense the excitement for it on the forum already, as for the upsets is concerned it’s difficult to say if big teams will avoid upsets or not. I remember the World Cup of 2007 lost huge bets because of those upsets, hence this time will be playing wisely. Also I feel the teams that can cause upsets are Afghanistan, West Indies and Srilanka these three can surprise the top teams.

They did play well recently, but this current team is not as strong as the previous Ozzy teams which is why I am pretty confident that they won't lift the cup this year.

I doubt that they will get eliminated during the quarters. In my opinion they are hot favourite to play the final. It's true that this team is not near the team they had before but if we compare the current strength (which is not 100% accurate and subjective by the way) then this Australian team is better then anyone else.

May be, India and England are the two teams who can fight against them.

Not sure by what you mean they ain't as strong as previous Australian teams? Its almost the same team as the last when they won the World Cup in Australia. Don't forget that Smith will almost be a certain starter in the team and Warner can also slot back in if they need him. The bowling attack is one of the best in the world so I think they have a very strong team.

I don't think righting off Australia is good decision because now they are doing very good and they already won last 8 ODI's away from home they can won and enjoy next 4 years as champion right now we have 3 good and equal sides Australia England and India about fourth its tough as many going and can kill on game day.
