I'd like very much it was possible, but I don't think so, at least in the next future.
To achieve this result, so many changes would be necessary that it's very unlikely.
But of course, I keep the hope this will happen

I think will be a time that bitcoin will replace dollar, cause  everything is going to digital we don’t need to convert it currency anymore just to determined the real value if many countries adopted bitcoin universally. But, we don’t know when it happen.
I’m sure that bitcoin will be more and more used as currency.

Bitcoin will never replace the dollar.

i agree, bitcoin cannot replace any fiat currency just like dollar. although lots of people now are patronizing bitcoin because of it's price, bitcoin will still in the same place. as long as no one controlling bitcoin it can never that happen. cause even though people are now getting involved in bitcoin just like trading and investing their wealth. in the end they still want to hold or save their money in their own fiat currency it's because of bitcoin volatility. so i guess these question will never be happen not today, tomorrow or even the future. I think that bitcoin can replace dollar because it is decentralized digital currency and it is now so much popular all over the world but it takes some time.
I like so much bitcoin because it is used blockchain technology. another thing is that bitcoin will be future currency worldwide. and it is transaction easily. so why not replace the dollar in the future and everything is going to digital we don’t need to convert it other currency.

It will not happen in just a very short time because the government will never accept bitcoin as a method of payment because the value is so high and the sole purpose of producing paper money will be put into a useless idea maybe in the technological time or in the future it will be accepted by the government but in the mean time it's going to be a debate whether the bitcoin replace the dollar.

At present, I don't see any sign that this will be possible in short time: there are still many structural problem to solve, and we are pretty far from a wide acceptance of the bitcoin.
More over, bitcoin is against central authority, it's against banks, it's against borders, so you can bet that all traditional institutions will start a war against bitcoin, just to not lose their power. We'll see.

Honestly, I think bitcoin will be replaced by Ripple as the #1 payment platform if it doesn't upgrade to the lightning network soon...

I think dollar doesn't need to be replaced by bitcoin. But,we will see in the future currency maybe it will happen that bitcoin defeats dollar and replace it.

Same us that, Bitcoin will replace dollars soon. In order to become the king Bitcoin needs to defeat dollars for the replacement of it. Ofcourse bitcoin needs to replace dollars because we can't tell that it will going to become the main currency if two pf them are in the equal stage. Well, we need to know that bitcoin will soon defeat dollars and become the main currency intire the world. So, yeah! Bitcoin will soon become the future currency and dollars will be replaced.

That's impossible things to happen, Dollar is a very strong currency, bitcoins is very volatile, It soars up like a rocket going to the moon and falls as fast as it goes up. There's no fixed value in bitcoins that is why bitcoin cannot beat dollar right a way:)

Even though the dollar is a very strong currency, it is not enough for bitcoin to lose its hope because everything is possible and if the people will realize that dollar is backed by nothing and only the trust of the people that gives its value then they may transfer into bitcoin or if not completely in bitcoin then they will go for other cryptocurrency that will replace dollar.

There is a high possibility but it would take a long journey. I'm just a newbie but i already tried reading and watching some articles regarding bitcoin. My first question when i joined is "how does bitcoin got its value?" then i watched a video that simplify the difderence of cryptocurrency and fiat. It made me realize that money is just a paper that was declared to have value and can easily be duplicated not like bitcoin. Because of this reason, I'm positive that online currency can replace paper money in the near future.

I don't think "soon" but I do think after 15 years or so it is a definite possibility. "soon" i guess is a relative term.
For now bitcoin can't replace dollar, but in near future if their are more people to agree to replace dollar so it can happen. Because bitcoin is one of the potential money now and also in next generations.

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
Maybe, It depends on the government if they will replace the dollar to bitcoin but bitcoin as all we know it is ONLINE CURRENCY(ONLINE MONEY) for any currency we use or the people in each country  use.

The relevant of bitcoin is because of the existence of dollars. Existence of dollars will continue and that would make bitcoin grow and more important than any other things you may think. Exchange of bitcoin to fiat(dollar)made bitcoin more real for lay man to believe and understand.

There all kind of scenaries, but nobody can really predict what will happen in 15 years (think about how much our life has changed in the last 15...).
It's possible that bitcoin will replace dollars, but it would be a so big change on so many levels that it would be a real revolution.
We'll see.

Only time will tell us what will happen within 15 years from now. Bitcoin has managed to grow at a fast pace ever since it came live on 2009. Given the traction it has experienced lately, there could exist the possibility of it becoming used with more frequency than the dollar. However, it may not fully replace the dollar since it is an unregulated digital currency that is also decentralized by nature. Things like these make it unfriendly for government adoption, as they would want currencies that they could control to their desire.

Therefore, I believe that the dollar and other national currencies will live alongside cryptocurrencies in the future (not replace existing monetary systems). Fiat currencies will make the shift to the blockchain, improving their speeds, transparency, and efficiency. Since they would be subject to manipulation, banks and governments would prefer these solutions over decentralized ones like cryptocurrencies. It would be up to the people to decide which currency they prefer to use more in the mainstream world. Just my opinion Smiley

This may happen if all countries in the world will acknowledge bitcoin in their place. But i think dollar will remain in the circulation. And no coin or altcoins will replace it.

I dont think Bitcoin or any digital currency is going to replace dollars. To where we can convert bitcoin if it already replaced dollars? I think digital currencies exist or works because of dollars. So what's the point of bitcoin if we don't have dollars to convert to?
